The Journey

The little boy was excited. It was as if his heart could not fit in his chest. He had a hard time keeping smiles away from his face. He was afraid that the fast beats of his heart would be heard. Today could be the most exciting day of the child's life. He would go to the world of magic today. To the Diagon Alley ...

They had gone through the simple plan they had with Marvolo many times. The deep-voiced adult who lived in Harry's mind was a complete perfectionist. The child who woke up just after the sunrise had spent the whole morning in front of the mirror. Marvolo said that he should not be recognized. When he asked why, I will tell when the time is right, he said. Of course, the boy repeated the question with curiosity. But after a while after his love for Marvolo and his respect for his friend, he stopped asking questions. His curiosity was still not extinguished. However, he wouldn't leave Marvolo's word. How could he upset his friend, who gave him the perfect gift, who gave him the magic ...

So Harry stood in front of the mirror and started to change his look. While his hair was dark blond, his eyes turned blue. The boy, who did not know that he could change himself with magic before, could not believe it when Marvolo first announced. Although he trusted Marvolo, it was unrealistic to stand in front of the mirror and imagine a different face for minutes. But with his current image, he once again realized that he should never doubt Marvolo again.

Harry obeyed Marvolo, made his hair longer. According to his friend, he was likely to be recognized by the scar on his forehead. Unfortunately, the scar could not close with magic. Marvolo said the scar was the result of dark magic. Although the child did not understand much, he found the solution to this by extending his hair and using his aunt's make-up.

It was the first time that his supposed family carelessness worked for him. While an old t-shirt with a hoodie covered his hair, his eye color was not noticed since they had not been looking at his face for years. Sometimes the indifference of the Dursley was reaching incredible dimensions. They didn't even care that their nephews didn't have blond hair and blue eyes.

He finished the work at home and prepared his bag. Instead of books, the school bag was filled with a bag of gold, 25 pounds and a magician robe that he transfigured yesterday. Harry laughed as he applied the image that Marvolo portrayed in his mind on an old t-shirt, thinking that the wizards were wearing dresses. While Marvolo explained that his wizard's robes were not dresses, but rather a noble cultural outfit, Harry was content to shake his head. It was a precious moment for Marvolo to defend the robe with such passion.

The plan was clear. After getting on the school bus, Harry would sneak down as the driver picked up another student. Even if it is strange, nobody would say anything because of Aphrodite's irresistible charm. Almost every kid in Surrey knew they wouldn't disturb Harry. The snake and boy had guaranteed it.

So Harry soon found himself on the streets of London. Fortunately, in the London crowd, no one paid attention to a child traveling alone. Aphrodite was quietly wrapped around the child's neck, taking a nap. The lady was a little lazy. However, ever the respectful, Harry would never say that to her face.

Marvolo said he needed to find a place called the Leaky Couldron. The boy who heard the name couldn't help but chuckle for a few seconds. Thanks to the careful instructions of his friend, the child found the Leaky Cauldron. It was a small, run-down tavern. The place where Muggles passed unconsciously was remarkable. Harry could smell the magic before he entered the door. His ability to control his magic after long meditations made him discover other magic points. The place that was seen as irrelevant from the outside was really shining with magic.

Harry stood in front of the door, regardless of the muggles. Besides, with the help of magic, nobody was paying attention to the Leaky Cauldron. He took a deep breath and entered.

It was too dark for a famous place, Leaky Cauldron did not look like a reliable place. Three or five old women sat in a corner, drinking something. One of them was smoking a long kind of pipe. A little man in a top hat was talking to the old bartender who looked like a sticky walnut, with his hair shed well. When they entered, the mutter stopped.

After seeing the strange wizards, wearing strange robes, with a strange hat, he realized that marvolo was right about his sorcerer's robe.. At least he understood its importance.

Once the boy swallowed nervously, he approached the bartender.

- "Good morning Sir."

The bartender, according to Marvolo's whisper in his mind, Tom continued to speak after taking a glance at the blond boy. He was ignoring Harry.

Harry coughed and tried to get the man's attention. The bartender returned with boredom.

- "What do you want, son?"

- "I want to enter to Diagon Alley."

- "You are too young to travel the Diagon Alley alone."

As Harry got nervous, Marvolo intervened.

Look into his eyes and direct your magic… Ask Tom to pass you without questioning… Don't think of anything else…

- "I want to enter Diagon Alley."

Although the child's voice was strong, he muttered anxiously inside. Please accept! Please accept!

The gaze of the bartender dulled momentarily. Then he quietly came out after the bar. If Marvolo hadn't warned, the nervous boy would not know he had to follow.

The bartender passed behind the tavern and touched the stones on the wall with a stick in his hand. Harry's eyes were on the stick in the man's hand as the wall slowly replaced a new path.

A Wand… Marvolo whispered.

The boy, whose eyes gleamed, entered the alley and asked enthusiastically.

* Where can I get a wand, Marvolo? *

"I think it will be usefull. We can open all the secret doors," he thought and grinned.

Every witch and wizard needs a wand to perform magic, my little one ... When you are 11, you will get it from Ollivander.

After looking at the wall that was closing, Harry left his breath and entered the wonderland. While watching the magnificent shops, every one of them is more fantastical than each other, the boy said "Wow!". He couldn't help gaping. But the subject of the wand was still on his mind.

* I can do magic, Marvolo… *

How could he do magic if he doesn't use wand?

Because you're special… Harry…

Hearing that he was special once again, the boy smiled shyly. With the encouraging words of Marvolo, his self-confidence increased day by day.

The little boy saw a shop called Amanuensis Quill Pens. It contained thousands of colored pencils and colorful inks. Harry did not know that the wizards were using quills and realized that he had to learn writing with quills. First, he added a feather pen to the list he prepared.. When he went to Hogwarts, he did not want to stay behind the others.

Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions were right next to the shop. Marvolo whispered from his mind that all students took their school robes from here. Harry was looking forward to the day he would get there to buy a robe.

The Eeylops Thousand Owls Owl Shop was one of the most interesting places for the child. It was one of Harry's most surprising moments to learn that the wizards were communicating with the owl. There was no such thing as technology. Marvolo was quick to explain. Obviously, magic didn't really work well with technology. Waking up to the chirp of birds, the cute reptile insisted that she wanted to eat an owl. Harry left the shop immediately.

Flourish and Blotts were a famous bookstore. Even at this time of the year when students were at Hogwarts, they had customers. Harry admired the books that were more wonderful than each other. What wouldn't he give to read them all? However, it seems that the shop was quite an expensive bookstore. Marvolo was able to persuade Harry to come out only after he promised to take him to a 2nd Hand bookstore some other time.

The boy sighed as he walked through the fabulous, mysterious bookshelves. He swore he would one day have a huge library.

His eyes were stuck on a book cover for a moment. A grinning boy with glasses stood on the cover. The boy with the messy hair had a lightning-like scar on his forehead, just like Harry's.

Harry Potter's Adventure with Vampires

The boy, who saw his own name, moved to the book right next to it in surprise.

Harry Potter's Rescue of the Dragon Princess

Harry Potter's Fairy Tales

Many heroic stories were lined up under the child's name. Maybe Harry would have thought the name was a coincidence, if the hero in the picture was not very similar to him. But the hero was exactly the same as Harry. Is this why Marvolo asked him to change his appearance?

Harry Potter and You Know Who's Legendary Duel: All the facts are in this book!

* What is this, Marvolo? * Asked the boy. He could not understand the situation somehow.

I know there is an important issue that I need to explain to you, little one… But I want you to enjoy yourself today. Why don't you buy the last book? So you can read while at home…

The child, whose astonishment did not diminish, obeyed his friend without object. 8 Galleons and the book took its place in his bag. The Harry Potter mystery was still not forgotten, but with every amazing thing he saw, the subject was slowly losing importance in his mind.

The next shop was Gambol and Japes Sorcerer's Jokes. It was operated by a man with a white mustache and a beard. He was actually an old man. Harry had a hard time believing that it was he who invented his jokes. But there were so funny jokes that the boy's attention was jumping from one to the other quickly. He dreamed of pranks that he could do to his cousin.

Quality Quidditch Items sold many quality brand brooms, snitches, quaffles, bludgers and sticks. Harry thought it would be nice to try the broom even if he didn't understand Quidditch nor he knew how to play and fly. Maybe he could buy an old magical broom later when he saved enough money.

The Ollivander Wands were one of the greatest wand-making shops in the world. As Marvolo said so. Apparently all of the Hogwarts students were getting their wands from here. The little boy wanted to get a wand very much. Even if he could cast a spell, he imagined that holding a wand would be a completely new experience. Marvolo described his first wand as well as the feeling of completion that flowed from the wand into his body so well that Harry wanted to taste the same feeling quickly. However, only people over the age of 11 could buy wands and the ministry obviously controlled the wand rights.

The child, who had not yet been able to accept the fact that he had a ministry of magic, left the shop of Ollivander at the insistence of Marvolo. He did not notice the old Mr. Ollivander, watching him with strange eyes.

The Daily Prophet Main Building was also on Diagon Road. Harry admired the newspaper, filled with vivid pictures, sorcerer athletes flying on brooms and wizard politicians. Marvolo allowed him to go into the building. With the suggestion of his friend, Harry had bought all old newspapers since 1981 at a very cheap price, with in a minimized box. Marvolo said this could help him solve the Harry Potter mystery. The lady in charge had caressed the hair of the blond boy who loved learning so much and smiled at Harry.

Harry couldn't take his eyes when he faced a marble building. The Gringotts Bank was a really big and eye-catching building. According to Marvolo's statements, it was led by the goblins. According to romors, some vaults were protected by dragons. Harry thought it would be incredible to see a dragon.

Marvolo said the dragons were dangerous. Later Harry insisted that he wanted to see a goblin, but his friend did not allow it. Apparently, the goblins were able to recognize the wizards as soon as they entered the bank. The identity of the wizard was magically revealed to them.

When Harry heard that he had and inheritance from his family, he didn't realize that his eyes were getting wet. It was an emotional feeling to learn that something had been left for him from his parents. Unfortunately he could not enter Gringotts before he was 11 years old.

Marvolo didn't want the magic world to know about Harry Potter yet.

Harry was wondering, thinking that the mystery in his identity was increasing.

But Marvolo insisted that it was not yet due and had not answered the child's questions. Harry continued his way still wondering .

Marvolo easily took Harry's mind off the topic. All Marvolo did was mentioning Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor. It was a small place, but with colorful ice creams. There were so many varieties that the child could not decide for a while. Finally he picked up a large cube of strawberries, lemon and chocolate. Aphrodite occasionally took his head off the robe and tasted the ice cream. The luminous snake made Harry buy some more after she hissing that she loves the lemon part more.

Marvolo then led Harry to Knockturn Alley. This place was nothing like Diagon Alley. It smelled of danger. However, despite all the color and glow of the Diagon Alley, Harry found here much more mysterious and interesting. It was obvious that great secrets were hidden in Knockturn Alley. The shadows were filled with dreadfull looks. Still, the child was not afraid.

Aphrodite had his head completely out, as he hisses to each approach, and with the help of Marvolo, Harry could do magic without wand, there was no fear in the child's heart. Only anxiety mixed with excitement remained in him.

Harry visited many shops. Marvolo did not allow the rest.

There were shops full of venomous snakes and dangerous animals, a place where forbidden potions were sold, and many shops selling horrific and dark magical items were lined up on the dark edges.

The places where the child could not enter were taverns, which were frequented by various creatures, vampires, werewolves and dark wizards.

An old ugly woman said, "Have you lost your way, son?" When he heard what she said, he moved away quickly.

Harry entered the Cobb & Webb's. He could buy any second-hand items here and many dark items. The shop was larger than any other store it visited. Everything from clothes to books, potions to animals. Everything that no one wanted or feared to have at home was here. It was a famous place, although not expensive. Anonymous and faceless men were slipping in and out silently.

Harry bought books such as History of Contemporary Magic, What Are Fantastic Beasts, Where to Find Them, Magic Theory, The Most Dangerous Dark Arts, Dark Powers and Self-Defense Manual, Basic Magic Book, Advanced Potion Making, and Most Evil Spells. These books also included a few that the school required first-years to take. The rest of the books were what Marvolo recommended. Especially, these were heavy, dark and mysterious.

Harry also did not forget to buy quills and some ink. He also bought an old but high quality notebook that he could keep as a diary. So he could improve his writing.

Unfortunately, he was able to get a single book about potions. Although the subject was of very interesting, it was not possible for him to make secret potions in his small cupboard.

He left the shop because he could not think of anything else he could buy from the junk dealer for now. He had 24 Galleons left. With the suggestion of Marvolo, he entered the Dangerous Potions shop. He asked for a potion that could fix his eyes from the dark-eyed man who did not speak much. After purchasing the potion with 7 Galleons from the potion master who carefully watched the snake, he immediately tried it in the shop. After 10 minutes of terrible pain, he got rid of the glasses. He wiped his tears with the sleeve of his robe, left the shop as soon as possible.

As he rubbed his eyes, the boy hit someone as he walked without attention. Harry found himself on the ground while the wizard stood still. The big man shook his wand dangerously and shouted.

- "Careful, you worthless mudblood!"

The little boy suddenly stopped breathing, felt that the dark memories filled his mind. He remembered his birthday. He remembered the ugly shouts of the drunk man and painful kicks. Instead of covering with fear, he got up. This time, he would not be the suffering one. Harry was strong and no one could harm him.

He held out his hand, ignoring the wizard's insults and whispered with a strong hate against those who hurt him.

- "Crucio!"

While the wizard was lying on the floor in screams, the crowd quickly moved away. It was clear from their faces that they were afraid. The fact that a child was so strong and cursed without caring with an unforgivable, shaken their hearts with terror. Fortunately, Knockturn Alley was the location of dark wizards. Such a scene was not very stranger, not to mention that it was caused by a child. Considering the child's confident, strong stance and magic, he must have been the heir of a noble pureblood family. Anyone who was afraid of what would happen to him would not disturb a pureblood heir.

Satisfied with the screams of the man, Harry canceled the spell and blended into the shadows. The wizards withdrew from his way, thanks to the threatening hisses of Aphrodite. The dark smile on his lips never left for a while. The child did not know, but for many years the Knockturn Alley would speak to that noble heir who cast magic without wand.

His last stop was Burgin and Burkes. The evening had already arrived. While Diagon Alley became less frequent, Knockturn Alley was getting crowded.

Burgin and Burkes were an insidious and dangerous big shop. It was frequented by dark wizards. The glass jars contained animal organs and poisons.

Harry didn't know why Marvolo insisted on coming here. Although mysterious and fascinating, there was nothing he could get from such a place.

Harry, who carefully studied the items, got out of his thoughts in the voice of his friend.

Harry, I want you to turn your eyes red…

*Why?*

Please, so you can help me…

*But-*

Don't you want to help me?

*I want it, of course, sir. *

Then do what I say…

The boy directed his magic with Marvolo's command, which left no room for interrogation. He realized that he was successfull with red eyes reflected from the dark glass of a jar.

Go to the wizard ...

The shopkeeper, who was not interested in Harry from the beginning, quickly gasped and put on a fake smile when he saw his red eyes.

- "My Lord! You-"

I want you to speak in an authoritative voice… Concentrate on your magic and order… Ask him to bring the green box…

Harry released his magic power to the shop and ordered it with all his might.

- "Bring the green box!"

Borgin left the room like crazy and carried a small dusty box five minutes later, and put in front of Harry. He was trembling. Sweat filled on his forehead. The child was astonished how the wizard, who had been dangerous until ten minutes ago, was suddenly old and pale. What could have scared him so much?

Marvolo's satisfied voice drove Harry away from his questions.

Good… Now let's bring this fool to himself with an Oblivate!, shall we my little one? Don't forget to restore your eyes and keep the box…

After putting the box in his bag, the boy made his eyes blue and wiped the man's memory. When he left the store, he left a wizard who did not know why his heart was beating fast.

After being drawn into a dark corner, he cast an invisibility spell and a voice barrier around him. He made a small light, in the dark corner away from the eyes, with a Lumos. He sat on the ground. He leaned against the wall with his bag, took the box to his lap.

In parseltongue, say "Morsmordre!"

After wiping the dust with the back of his hand, he started to open the green box. When the password was said, the sound of the lock spinning was heard from the box, and a black powder of smoke came out.

The first thing that caught the boy's eye under the green cover was a few wands. The inside was much bigger than the outside of the box. There were colorful gemstones and ancient rings. There was a golden watch, small vials, a sharp knife, and a black robe at the bottom of the box. There were many more strange objects, but Marvolo intervened before the boy could examine them all.

Do you see the ruby ring, my little one? Take it. Close the box and put it back into the bag…

The boy took the ring, it was covered with red stones.

You need to wear the ring…

The child obeyed the order without questioning.

Harry, you might want to put your bag on your back again…

The boy took his bag, thought they are going home.

Tell Aphrodite to hold tight…

Harry whispered the instruction to the cute snake, although he did not fully understand why.

I want you to prepare yourself and say '' Heir of Slytherin ' in parseltongue to the ring ...

This time, the little boy, who was completely confused, followed the order that left no room for the question.

- "Heir of Slytherin!"

As soon as he said it, he felt that he was pulling into the darkness with great force.

The last thing he heard before losing himself was...

...Welcome to Albania, Harry Potter!
