The next video started with Ash, Brock and Misty walking down the road, the sun shining brightly behind them.
"Oh, I wonder what you'll all catch next." Max said.
"I hope it's a super strong Pokemon!" Bonnie gushed.
"I'm sure it was definitely something that helped them a lot." Dawn replied.
"Well, just look at the last two and you may just guess it." Brock teased as those who didn't know thought it over.
"You got Bulbasaur, then Charmander..." Clemont said, eyes lighting up as he realised.
"That means, Ash must have caught a Squirtle next!" May stated.
"You'll see how that went down." Misty replied as the video continued.
They saw the trio fall down into a pitfall with Pikachu before a gang of Squirtle appeared above them, laughing at their misfortune, before they climbed back out of the hole. They catalogued Squirtle before attacking to try and capture one, the leader challenging Pikachu.
"Wow, such rude Squirtle!" Serena said indignantly.
"Why are they bullying you guys?" Bonnie asked.
"They really don't like you, do they?" Clemont said.
Suddenly, a police siren rang out and the Squirtle ran away, Officer Jenny brought them back to the police station and informed them about the Squirtle Squad and their history.
"Poor Squirtle." Dawn said, her heart going out to them.
"I can't imagine, what kind of trainer would abandon their Pokemon?" Max asked.
"The worst kinds, like Damian." Misty snarled as the others nodded.
"Even I don't abandon a Pokemon, I love all of my Pokemon." James chimed in, recoiling as the others looked questioningly at him.
"I'd have thought Team Rocket wouldn't care for Pokemon beyond battles and crime." Brock spat.
"Most don't, that's true, but Jessie and I have always been different, we care for our Pokemon, the same way you twerps care for yours." James replied, determined to be seen not just as a bad guy.
They saw Team Rocket arguing about food as they talked about how to nab Pikachu, before turning around to see the Squirtle squad standing there, demanding Team Rocket hand over its food to the Squirtle.
"Go Squirtle! Bonnie cheered as the ground opened up and swallowed Team Rocket.
"What a quick takedown." Clemont remarked.
"We should have checked our surroundings." James admitted as the others laughed.
The scene changed to show the Squirtle eating all of Team Rocket's food, as they helplessly watched, tied up before the Squirtle. They tried to offer the Squirtle a job to help them capture Pikachu, with the leader dismissing them, telling them that humans can't be trusted. Meowth told them how he owned Jessie and James, with the Squirtle agreeing to trust him, whilst Jessie and James watched hungrily on.
"How will that make Squirtle help you?" May asked.
"Well if they trust you, they would be willing to work with you, far more than they would help Ash, Brock and Misty, right?" Serena asked James.
"That was our thinking, yes. As you can see, they wouldn't trust us, but Meowth, he may have had a shot." James replied.
The trio were fishing until the Squirtle attacked them from the water, knocking Pikachu into the water after Pikachu electrocuted the others. From behind, a Goldeen attacked Pikachu before the Squirtle appeared, capturing the trio, before Meowth appeared as well, taking the trio with the Squirtle's to a cave. Ash tried to convince the Squirtle to work with him, before Meowth attacked them, convincing the Squirtle to side with him still.
"What is your plan to escape?" Clemont asked, fascinated by all of this.
"You'll see." Brock said with a smirk.
Ash convinced the Squirtle to let him go into town alone to get some Super Potion for Pikachu, with Squirtle telling him that if he wasn't back by the following Noon, Misty's hair would be dyed purple.
"Oh, wow, that would be something to see." Dawn snickered as Misty glared at everyone, smiles on all of their faces.
"I meant it, that mangy flea trap would have had his tail wrapped around him again and again if they had touched my hair!" Misty protested.
"I'm sure Meowth was terrified." James laughed.
"He didn't look happy to be threatened for sure." Brock said.
Meowth plotted to be long gone before Ash returned as Ash rushed to get back to town as quickly as he could, crossing a collapsing bridge, before falling into the river below it. As he dragged himself to the town, he went to open the door to the store, before being knocked out. From inside the store walked out Gary.
"Gary was there!?" Everyone said, wondering what he was doing nearby, where were his cheerleaders and his car, and how come he didn't notice Ash sprawled out on the floor behind him.
"I guess Ash must not have known it was Gary who knocked him out." Misty said.
The scene changed to show Ask waking the next morning, witnessing Team Rocket hold up the store and steal supplies to betray the Squirtle Squad with, before trying to buy the Super Potion for Pikachu and being held at gunpoint by the store owners, before Officer Jenny intervened and saved him.
"Oh thank goodness Officer Jenny was there." May said.
"What were those people thinking, pointing their guns at Ash, they could have really hurt him or worse!" Dawn cried.
"I don't think they were thinking, they were just scared." Misty said.
"That doesn't excuse them at all." Serena said shortly.
"That's really dangerous what they were doing, they really could have hurt Ash or themselves." Clemont agreed.
Ash got a ride from Officer Jenny to the cave whilst Team Rocket flew overhead, talking about their plot to betray the Squirtle and steal Pikachu. Ash called out Charmander for light and as they got out, they saw the cave was empty. Catching up to the Squirtle Squad, they saw Misty and Brock had been untied, and they quickly got to work on healing Pikachu.
"Yay, you're ok!" Bonnie said happily.
"Team Rocket is still about to attack, they're aren't out of danger just yet." Max reminded her.
"What is your problem, anyway?" Dawn asked James angrily, as he cowered in his seat once again.
"We just want to make our boss happy, is that so bad?" James protested.
"It is when you do that by stealing Pokemon from other people!" Brock roared at him.
They saw as Team Rocket attacked, Meowth swiping Pikachu and getting into the Team Rocket balloon, escaping as Ash covered the leader of the Squirtle Squad, saving him from the explosions as Team Rocket dropped bombs onto them.
WHACK!
James recoiled in horror as he looked at the youngest of the twerps, Bonnie, stood before him, eyes burning with fury as she raised her hand to slap him again.
"YOU'RE AN EVIL MAN!" Bonnie cried, trying to hit him again as Clemont and Serena ushered her away, the rest of them fixing James with glares, rising to deal with him if he tried to retaliate against Bonnie.
Looking at his past actions on the screen, using bombs to try and kill children, James could only shrink into himself in shame.
"I'm sorry." He whispered, as the others turned away from him to watch the rest of the episode, ignoring his presence entirely.
Squirtle helped Ash to safety, all of them falling into the cave, as Team Rocket tried to escape, Ash and Squirtle appeared on the cliff across from them and attacked their balloon, freeing Pikachu and sending Team Rocket once more blasting off. Ash told the Squirtle's how they could stop the forest fire that Team Rocket had started, and working together, they saved the forest and the town.
"Yay for the Squirtle Squad!" Max cheered as the others joined in the celebrations.
Officer Jenny appointed the Squirtle Squad as the towns firefighters for their bravery and help, and as the trio turned to leave, Squirtle followed behind, getting their attention and asking to come along with Ash. Ash quickly added Squirtle to the team, and the team headed off with a new friend, as the screen turned to black once more.
"Well, with that action packed one, shall we leave it there for now?" Brock asked, the others nodding. Nobody had noticed that James had already slunk out of the room.
