The Light
Rapunzel (Singing):
All those days watching from the windows
All those years outside looking in
All that time never even knowing
Just how blind I've been
Now I'm here, blinking in the starlight

And it's like the fog has lifted

Now that I see you
Rapunzel turns to see Eugene holding two lanterns. She hums and run towards him on the gondola, excited at his surprise.
Arianna finds herself wiping her eyes. She found herself full of different types of emotions. Love for her daughter and the woman she turned into in her absence; delight at knowing that if Rapunzel never finds out the truth about herself, her daughter is in love and will live a happy life with Eugene; fear for what the woman who kidnapped her will do to the young man who is bringing her daughter so much happiness; and finally, awe at the beautiful scene being displayed as her daughter completes her dream as well as the dreams of the whole of Corona without her even knowing it.
Rapunzel: I have something for you, too.
She takes out his satchel and hands it out to him.
Gothel gasps. Rapunzel looks at her confused, isn't this what her mother wanted her to do.
Gothel find herself scared. Rapunzel was never supposed to trust the thief, not enough to give him the satchel anyway. Things were spiralling out of control.
Rapunzel: I should have given it to you before, but I was just scared. And the thing is, I'm not scared anymore. You know what I mean?
Eugene: (he pushes the satchel to the side, refusing to take it) I'm starting to.
Frederick was delighted at seeing the real Flynn Rider, or Eugene Fitzherbert. He knew, because he knew without a doubt that his daughter would return home, that he was going to have to get used to Eugene being in the palace, as well as getting the guards to leave him alone. But Eugene would get his own room until they decide if they ever want to make their relationship permanent. It is a shame, though, that Eugene wasn't a prince and therefore cannot ever become King, only the Prince Consort.
They smile at each other, and release their lanterns together.
Eugene (singing):
All those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur
All that time never truly seeing

Now she's here, shining in the starlight

They both look at each other and begin to sing together.
And at last, I see the light
Eugene: And it's like the fog has lifted.

Rapunzel: And it's like the sky is new.
Together:

And the world has somehow shifted
All at once, everything is different
Now that I see you
They begin to lean closer to each other, Pascal blushes and hides his face.
Together: Now that I see you.
Eugene leans in to kiss Rapunzel when he catches sight of the Stabbington brothers watching them from a nearby shore. He pulls away.
Gothel grinned. Those two were working for her, hopefully they could get rid of the boy so she could continue to live her happily ever after.
Rapunzel: Is everything okay?
Eugene: Huh? Oh, yes, uh, huh. Yes, of course. I just…
He begins to row their boat to the shore and climbs out.
Eugene: I'm sorry, everything is fine. There's just something I have to take care of.
Rapunzel bit her lip, she had a feeling that her dream was about to be shattered and she found herself blaming her mother for it. Though, the young woman had no idea why that would be.
Rapunzel: Okay.
Eugene: I'll be right back.
Rapunzel looks down at Pascal on her shoulder.
Rapunzel: It's all right, Pascal.
