The Sword Wielding Titan

Six POV

We ran to our main positions and waited, that was the easy part. In 30 minutes, IMC ships were flying in, dropping grunts and spectres. The sky was lit up with weapon fire between our ships and theirs, we were only providing support from afar against enemy titans and infantry while the real battle went on. The fight was in our favor for around an hour and 25 minutes, until it came.

"Unidentified titan at 3:00 and closing fast!"

"I can't get a lock, we need to fall bac-" Over the comms we could hear our soldiers falling faster than we could count.

"This is Royal 5, target is quickly making its' way toward the civilians, moving to intercept."

Our leader was quick to respond, "Negative, Royal 5! Take those civilians and get out of there fast!" However, it was already too late.

"Affirmative. Everybody move, Let's go-" Our friend was cut off and replaced by the sound of ear-piercing electric slashes.

"Royal 5, Royal 5 come in!" My pilot spoke over the comm chatter, whatever this titan was, it was incredibly quick and powerful. We could already tell the battle above was nearly lost, the IMC had the advantage with our new advanced enemy and powerful ships. My pilot spoke once again "Royal 5 is down. Royal 2 and 3, they're likely heading for you, stay sharp."

"Copy that, they won't get past us" Royal 2 said to us, followed by Royal 3 in an alarmed voice.

"It's coming from 10:00, fire!"

"What the hell? It's blocking my shots!" They didn't last long before they were completely overwhelmed by the unknown titan's attack.

"Royal Six, do you have a visual?" Our leader called to us. I looked all over the battlefield until we saw it. The sword wielding titan, holding a giant electrified sword cutting down an Ogre in 3 slashes like it was nothing, and what looked to be a shotgun holstered on its waist.

We took action, firing my railgun at the new, unique foe, after hitting it twice it saw where we were shooting from and disappeared, like it flashed out of existence. We thought it fled, we were wrong. My pilot got on comms "Confirmed hits on target, but I've lost visual. They're most likely retreating but be ready." We just kept firing until…

"Proximity Alert!" I said to my pilot.

"What is it?" was his response, and his last. I was hit from the side with a barrage of metal pellets and stabbed in my left shoulder.

"Pilot? Are you alright? Pilot!" My attempts to reach him were in vain, he was already dead. However I was able to get a closer at our attacker. It was the same titan from earlier which had slaughtered half of our troops and disappeared. It had a rectangular eye and resembled that of a Stryder class titan. It's light paint was almost covered in ash. I do not recall whether the battle was won or lost, but-

Alex POV

He just stopped, we were confused as Six just sat there, completely silent. I tried to get him to speak, "Six? What happened, why'd you stop?" Then he looked at me, it almost looked like he was in fear. And the next words he said completely froze me, words I thought I would never hear, and his voice was as clear as ever.

"IMC ships detected."

End…

Another short one, sorry. This was written forever ago, which is why the Protocols aren't the updated version, and I guess I forgot about it altogether. Chapter 5 is in the works.
