"Stop It!"

He was talking to no one. What was that? Sudden flashes of memories appeared before him. These weren't recent memories. They were memories of the far distant past. But they weren't HIS memories, so to speak.

He decided to go to sleep and deal with it in the morning.

Kent woke up the next morning and got up from his bed and made his way to the door. Halfway, he stopped for a moment. Where was he going? He needed to stay put because Bass-Cross would come back at any moment.

*Knock Knock*

His thought was broken by the sound of his door. He continued his way to the door and peeked out the peephole. Standing there was Obsidi. She was looking back at him as she knew he was starring in return. She was back already?

"Are you going to let me in now?" She said through the door. He was slightly taken back by this as he had been standing there for a full minute now since she knocked. He opened the door to let her in. "Finally what took you so long? I know you're there looking at me." She told him as she was coming in and making her way to the couch.

"What brings you today?" he asked her. She kept coming again and again. He never really asked her. Much less when Bass-Cross was here.

"I might have some people tracking me down very soon." She answered his question. This shocked him.

"Then why are you coming here? You know that half the city is looking for me too." He said irritated that she decided to come here. If he were to be found now the whole entire plan would go down the drain. She didn't seem to be phased by her actions. It was like she'd knew that this would happen.

"What did you do?" He flat out told her.

"Well, I did someone a favour and they didn't thank me for it. So I got payback and now I'm going to be chased down." She said so casually. "Don't worry I'm sure you and your NetNavi can chase them away." The looked at him with a grin.

Kent sighted in defeat. Sure, he could handle whatever gang or mafia was after her. After all, she has done them huge favour of making an impenetrable dimensional area. However, she couldn't just use him like that. Bass-Cross probably wouldn't let himself be used as a toy either.

"Who's tracking you down?" He asked one final question.

Somewhere in the darknet, Bass-Cross was floating around in its deep space. Whenever he wasn't deleting poor unsuspecting navis he would be here thinking to himself. The act felt familiar yet foreign at the same time. He found himself doing it every time coming back from a cross-fusion. He tried to stay away from Kent due to hatred towards him, but part of him wanted to stay with Lan.

Wait, did he just refer Kent as Lan?

Suddenly a pain bolted across his head. He grunted in pain and held onto his head. He tried not to scream. The pain wasn't from something attacking him. No, it was coming from his head. Soon he was seeing flashes of familiar scenes before him. Meeting the boy for the first time, seeing them both takedown World Three, performing their first program advance attack, revealing them to be brothers.

"No! I'm not-, cannot be-, STOP!" He yelled. His eyes shot open flashing between green and purple colored irises. Through the pain, he was starting to put together who he truly was.

Two in fact.

'I am both? I don't understand'

He began to scream out in confusion. His arm began to flail, sending multiple attacks around him. Destroying already broken pieces of data floating around. Any unfortunate to be around Navi would be deleted within a second of impact from his attacks.

His mind was everywhere at the moment. Who was he supposed to be then? Was he to be a saviour or a destroyer? Did he love or hate humans? So may questions poured through his mind. No matter what he asked he wasn't going to get any answers.

With one final scream, he left the darknet but not before sending one final explosion. Destroying everything around him completely.

Bass-Cross returned to the computer at the apartment. He took a quick glance around before noticing Obsidi. He ignored her for the time being and shifted his attention to Kent.

"Change of plans." He began to say.

"Well yeah, Obsidi is being tracked down by the Sharo military and SciLabs."

This froze Bass-Cross for a moment. Tracked? Here? No, it could not be. All of his planning gone to waste. Did he even care anymore? Now that he knew the being that made him up. Would he even continue with it? Part of him wanted to, but the other half did not. Then after a few moments passed and he blew into an outburst.

"YOU FOOL!" He screamed as loud as the computer speakers allowed him to. "Why couldn't you just cover up your tracks?!" The anger in his voice sent a chill up Kent's spine. "What happened?" He demanded.

"Augh, fine." She said unphased by his anger. "My cousin was a scientist working on the dimensional area disruptor cannon. He needed help so he offered me a job as his assistant. I did most of the coding while he did nothing. Soon I found out he took all the credit by memorizing and copying it so that he passed it off as his own while in front of the other members of the project." She explained.

"That does not answer my question."

"Fine. They interrogated him and ratted me out when he cracked under the pressure and confessed that he used my work." She finally satisfied his need.

"So that how you were able to make a dimensional area that could withstand it. Because you were the one who did most of the work." Kent commented.

Bass-Cross just stood there again. What was he do with her? His Bass half wanted to kill her while his Megaman half didn't. If they were tracking her down who knows how long they would find her. Seeing no other choice he transferred himself into the PET.

"Cross-fuse now." He demanded.

Kent removed the PET from its charging stand and took out the Syncro chip. "Why? They're probably looking for her at her residence not here." He said confused.

"How long ago did you find out?" Bass-Cross asked Obsidi.

"Two days ago."

"Then they've already found out where she goes when she's not home."

"Our apartment," Kent said as he put the chip into the slot.

There were a few loud bangs coming from the door by someone hitting hard on it. "Kent you are completely surrounded. Slide your PET under the door then come out with your hands behind your head." The voice was quickly recognised as Laika.

Kent, however, looked dumbfounded by the demands coming from him. Did he really think he was going to turn himself that easily? If he did, then he was a fool to ever think that.

He pushed the chip completely into the slot and was soon covered in light.

2 hours earlier*

Chaud, Maylu and Jasmine waited for the return of Dr. Hikari and Mr. Famous. They hoped that they would come out as innocent. They had been gone for almost three days now. In all that time they had heard nothing from them. They had no idea how much longer it would last. SciLabs was much quieter without them. It seemed like the would facility was abandoned.

"So Maylu, how training with soul?" Jasmine asked in order to start a conversation. They had planned training for Soul long ago but they never got to start because of all the attacks. Dr. Hikari had some training simulation set up for her but since he was not here they had no access to it. So, Roll decided to teach her herself.

"It's going surprisingly smoothly now. She's getting better at hitting her targets," Maylu remembered looking at Soul firing at everything and leaving scorched marks everywhere but the targets. Roll had to use Life-Aura to protect herself from the blasts. The problem wasn't that she wasn't aiming straight it. It was because when her buster fired, it spread. Her buster was a combination of Megaman and Roll's own weapon. It had Megaman's buster shape but with Roll's bow attached to the sides of it. So it sort of looked like the crossbow when Megaman was in Roll soul form. It didn't fire one arrow but five.

Oh?" Jasmine impressed that Soul was able to improve so quickly in such a short amount of time. "What about using battle chips?" She then asked. Soul was technically a SoloNavi so she had no way of using a battle chip by normal mean.

"We had a PET being made for her, but it was being developed by Dr. Hikari and we know where he is now." It turns out that making a PET for a Navi that was the offspring of two different navies proved much difficult than it seemed. It wasn't like registering and programming a regular navi. The system recognised Soul as a navi with an already registered PET. They didn't know which PET was already assigned to her.

Suddenly the door opened. Both Scientists came in running.

"We found the culprit." Said Mr. Famous. He was trying to catch his breath.

"Who was it?" Asked Chaud.

"An intern who was passed most of the work to. Her cousin was one of the lead scientists. He turned in most of the work. He said he took all her work and passed it off as his own," he continued to say that she threatened him but ignored it until the attack at the park. He broke down pretty easily. "So we are tracking her whereabouts and asking close people to her."

"So what do we know?" Jasmine asked.

"She isn't home but has been seen going multiple times going to a low part of the city." The new voice that came in was Laika. "According to her relatives, she goes out to meet a friend. I have a feeling who our suspect is."

"Lan" Maylu whispered to herself.

"In the meantime, let's set up that training for Soul." Dr Hikari went over to the computer and activated the training course. On the screen showed many turrets, targets, and platforms. Maylu when over to the computer and pointed her PET.

"Jack in, Roll, Soul, execute!" The two navies were sent into the PC.

Inside, Soul was a bit nervous. She was seeing all of these targets and obstacles. This was a huge step up from a few simple targets. Now she was facing environmental changes. She took a few steps back until she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up at Roll who was looking at her with a smile as if to tell her not to worry. Soul smiled back with a nod and turned back to face the challenge that awaited her.

"GO!" With that, she started to fire her buster. The turrets locked onto her and fired their blast towards her. She saw those coming and dodged every single one. Hopping from side to side. She aimed her bust and took out five at once thanks to its feature. She retracted her arm to look around. There were many columns and different levelled platforms. Looking up and down she walked by them trying to find a way up. Her goal was to destroy 20 targets.

Roll, who was off to the side, looked at her daughter as she manoeuvred around the columns to avoid being ambushed by more turrets. Her fighting style mimicked Megaman's own. Although, that should be expected, right? After all, he is her father.

Soul continued to fight off the many threats. She saw a platform low enough for her to jump on. Making sure she wouldn't get sniped out of the air, she jumped. She landed and saw one of the targets. It was nothing special, it was a regular target with a circular shape and red circles. She walked up towards it only to be greeted by three turrets appearing in front of it. Without hesitation, she took them out and got the target along with them.

The next few hours seemed like a breeze. She finished within an hour. She looked tuckered out. Roll ran up to her and held her in an embrace.

"Good Job, proud of you."

"Thanks."

Everyone looked at them. Seeing mother and child holding each other. The only thing missing was the father.

However, the mood was interrupted by Laika appearing on the screen. "We have located them."

"Wait, them?" Chaud asked. Wondering who the other person was. It took a few moments but it finally clicked. "You mean Lan?"

"Affirmative. Meet us at this location." The Sharo soldier sent a map pinpointing the location. "We are securing the perimeter." He signed out leaving the group to prepare themselves.

"Roll, let's go, and Soul you stay here where it's safe," Maylu commanded to the Navies.

Present time*

"Kent you are completely surrounded. Slide your PET under the door then come out with your hands behind your head." Laika shouted after banging on the door. He had hoped that catching him off guard could give them a chance. However, he could be expecting this. He had the entire building evacuated and surrounded by special forces.

He was about to speak again until he was interrupted by a flash of white light followed by being thrown against a wall. He looked up to see the door destroyed. The Cross-fused Kent walked through it and aiming his buster at him.

"Do you really think I would give myself up that easily?" He said. CF Base-Cross looked down un him ready to fire. Thanks to his special synchro ship it makes it possible to cross-fuse without the assistance to a dimensional area for a short amount of time. Enough to make a quick getaway or set one up.

"I'd love to stay and chat, but I should get going now." He turned around to get Obsidi but was alarmed by the sound of a dimensional area forming. Then he was knocked back to reality when he felt a blast hitting his back. Laika was fused with his navi ready for combat.

CF Bass-Cross turned back around ready to shoot when he was hit again by three separate attacks. He looked over his shoulder to see Chaud, Jasmine and Maylu fused with their own respected navies. He was surrounded. His attention was grabbed by CF Roll. it was not possible to cross-fuse while two navies were inside the PET so that only meant one thing. The offspring was left all alone. Well, except for the weak security navies.

"It seems this works out in my favour then. Barrier." He extended his arms and created a barrier to shield himself and Obsidi. He grabbed onto her arm and pulled up.

"Don't let him get away." Shouted CF Protoman as he summoned his proto-sword. He slashed through the barrier but to no avail.

"Area steal." Bass-Cross disappeared from sight leaving the group to stay on high alert.

"Where did he go?" CF Medi looked around trying to see if he was still nearby. With area steal, he couldn't have gone too far. It was used to get near a target, not away from one. So he must have gotten closer to someone.

CF Searchman looked around for a moment before aiming his gun up on the ceiling. He fired, sending three shot into it. A moment passed before two purple flame wheels came back burning through the ceiling. They went past him and exited the room by burning through the wall behind him. Then a dozen more came through. "Get everyone out! He's trying to bring the whole building down!" CF Searchman commanded the others to get the special forces out to safety. The trio nodded.

CF Bass-Cross appeared a few building away. He let go of Obsidi. She took a deep breath before getting back up. She saw the building now in ruins. The building was now showing signs of smoke coming from various windows. She turned back at him.

"So, now what?" She asked him. He didn't respond. Before she could ask again the sound of rubble crashing down caused her to turn around to see that the building had collapsed. She then heard the sound of CF Bass-Cross charging his buster.

He didn't say a word. He held the charge before releasing it towards the wall of the dimensional area. The blast collided and brought the dome down. He was still fused, thanks to the special synchro chip. He floated into the air and flew off at incredible speed. Leaving Obsidi behind by herself.

"Jerk."

Back with NetSaviors, they had managed to successfully evacuate everyone out of the building. Just after bringing out the final soldier the building collapsed and the dimensional area was brought down.

"Do we have eyes on Kent?" Laika radioed in. He stood there for a moment before turning back toward the others. "Kent escaped but we have Obsidi."

This, however, did not relief them at all. He was still out there ready to wreak havoc.

Soul was continuing with her training. Firing upon tens of various targets. Some flying while others disappeared in and out of sight. She was unaware of someone walking up behind her. Only when she noticed a shadow over her. She looked up to see who it was.

Staring back at her was a tall back colored navi. She was frozen in fear. She felt like she knew who he was. However, something wasn't right with him.

"You should be wary of your surroundings at all times, even if you're training. Just a little advice for you, daughter."
