Chapter 8: Burn

That was all I could see, while my body was being fueled by rage at being interrupted in indulging in my future mate.

"Jaken you have ten seconds to justify yourself or let them be your last", I demanded with venom on my lips and cracking my fingers for emphasis.

Jaken in fear for his life threw himself on the ground, kneeled at my feet, and began to plead "Forgive me my lord, but there are urgent matters…."

"Five seconds Jaken" I whispered beginning to inch closer.

I watched as his green skin turn unbelievably pale as he shouted, "a burn body was found and dark magic was used on it so it can no longer be recognized, not by scent or yokai."

What could be the purpose of such a thing? Who would dare to attack someone in my castle? I thought deeply, wondering what dangers this could bring.

Huh. "Jaken wait for me outside" I ordered impatiently.

"Thank you my l…" he began to say, but was never was able to finish as my boot came and send him flying out the door. This imp cannot take a hit when he is unwanted, how dare he come into a room while Kagome is indecent. I proceeded to close the door and turned around to face the object of my affection.

I watched with deep desire as I was meet with the most alluring image I had ever seen and will never be able to forget.

There a few feet away from me sat Kagome with irresistibly, messy hair from our previous activities. One hand was holding hair weight up as she sat on the desk while the other was failing at attempting to cover her breasts from my eyes. My eyes continued to move across her body and stopped at the object of my desire, but immediately preventing from indulging in it view as a pair of silky, milky legs closed.

OURS, my beast growled.

In due time.

"Kagome" I called out to her in the husky voice that I knew set her skin on edge.

"Yes Sesshomaru?" she whispered while casting her eyes down.

Annoyed by her sudden shyness I proceeded to move in front of her and hold up her face with my right hand, so that her ocean full eyes would meet my golden ones.

"Let me make something clear to you, my sweet Kagome. I might have refused to see this earlier but we belong to each other. It may have begun just as my beast desires, but you have found your way into the very depths of my soul and now you can never leave. So I hope that you're not ashamed by what happen minutes ago." I said while allowing her to look very deep into my eyes so she understood that from this day on there is not separating us.

I didn't want to contemplate the thought that she regretted our actions, and that she no longer wanted to be joined with me as mates.

"Is not that I'm ashamed by what happen, it's just that…" she mumble while a blush appeared on her face when she stooped.

"It's just what?" I asked, relieved that she didn't regret our actions and suddenly intrigued by what could possibly brought on that blush.

"I kind of didn't want you to stop" she whispered slowly, as the same time the blush on her cheeks reddened tens fold.

"Hahahah" I couldn't help the chuckle that was brought to my lips by her words, just as I couldn't help the blood that was rushing again to my groin at her words.

Oh my Kagome, if you knew how that's sweet little mouth of yours affected me or what I intend to have it do. I wanted that instant to forget the reason I had even stop and take her as mine, oh what I would give to be bury deep inside her and to have her scream my name out in ecstasy.

I reluctantly decided against that, knowing that I had duties to uphold as a lord.

I moved my hand to the back of her neck and pulled her closer so her lips was centimeters away from mine.

"No need to worry my dear, I will make sure to finish what I started" I whispered, but gave her no time to answer as I took her lips in a deep kiss. I took my sweet time making sure that images of my tongue all over her body would stay in her mind, at least until another part of my body got a try at her.

Unwillingly I pulled away and straightened my cloths.

"A maid will bring you some more appropriate clothes, for now I have some matters to attend to" I stated as I turned around and went to investigate the situation outside.

The smell of burnt flesh hit my nose long before I reached the scene ahead of me.

When I turned around the counter my eyes were meet with the image of a blacked body surrounded by my soldiers and mother. I quickened my pace until I came to be side to side with my mother.

"What is known of this situation?" I asked to no one in particular.

"My lord, one of the patrolling guards found the body a few minutes ago. There is no scent or trace as to who did this or whom the victim is" My general responded while vowing his head in respect.

My mother proceeded to add to it, "This is very dark magic, there is no burn skin on the body"

My eyes focused on the body while I asked, "Do you imply to say this demon was skinned before being burn."

"I'm not implying it, I'm saying it. The texture of the outside resembles burn meat and is missing the scalps that are caused by burn skin" she concluded.

I did not bother to ask how she knew this, "what would be the purpose of doing such a thing?"

"What other reason would you need someone else's skin, than to cover your own", she said staring into my stoic face.

How could this be? Someone is impersonating one of my servants, but for what reason? Kagome.

"Is there any way of determining who the attacker is?" I asked becoming anxious at the implications of someone harming Kagome.

"No"

I currently stood in front of a window in my room watching the skies as the clouds flowed through in an endless stream.

I slowly moved my hand to rest at the bump that was now becoming visible and I couldn't help the smile that graced my lips.

My pup, I can't wait to finally meet you.

I felt the yokai that I had grown accustom to approach me. It took a few seconds for the door to open and close, for silver hair to touch my neck, and for baritone hands to wrap around my waist and rest on my stomach.

I breathed in his intoxicated scent as I rested my back against his chest and closed my eyes. I felt him push his yokai around me and through his hand into my stomach. It should be sinful to have such a power over my body, because as his yokai danced around mines it send shivers down my spine making it weak to his touch.

I finally understood what he was doing when the strength of the yokai of my growing pup became stronger in my stomach.

"Sesshomaru, what happened?" I asked.

"Your things will be moved to my rooms and you are not to leave my sight" he demanded in a stern voice.

I turned around to face him with now a stoic face that matched his, breaking the connection he had formed through our yokai.

"You can't just order me around without giving me a reason" I answered becoming annoyed at the tone he spoke those words in.

"I will accept no argument against this, it's for yours and our pup's protection" he answered while barring his fans in warning.

"Protection against what?" I demanded to know.

I saw him answer reluctantly, "Someone has disguised themselves as one of my servant and I don't know what they want or why, so you will follow my orders and will not trust anyone."

"Even so, it would be inappropriate for me to stay in your chambers" I argued back trying to get myself out of this situation, disliking being treated like a child.

"No one will dare to question me, or your place in my chambers after I mate you" he stated and smirked at his following words, "besides what's the worst that could happen? Me getting you pregnant?"

"Hahaha" I said mockingly, "who knew you had a sense of humor".

"My sweet Kagome there is much more to me than meets the eye" he said in his seductive voice as he approached me.

"And also we mate tonight"

"Wai...wait WHAT?"
