Chapter 2

Alexina's POV

I watched as they contemplated whether or not to let me go on my own, but eventually decided to because they had no authority over me and they knew it. They gave me the key to the muggleborn fund and directions to the Leaky Cauldron. We said our goodbyes and I ran off. It was almost 5:00 pm when we had a blades meeting scheduled for our gang. I'm a top-level blade. We're also known as the protectors and leaders of the gang. You normally have to be 13 years old to be a blade but I was an exception. Our gang is made up of Blades (top), Gunners (one below us, they guard the youngest or newest members and also the medics while they help the injured during a fight), Trainers (They train the youngest members to become blades and gunners. They are usually retired blades or gunners) and Medics (as the name suggests they are the ones with the most first aid knowledge).

I reached the meeting place with just enough time to get into my place next to my co-leader Mira. The only pressing thing this meeting was me leaving for Hogwarts. Yes, I told them. It doesn't matter since they were there when I got my letter. Anyway, in the time I was gone we needed another blade to take my responsibility. I would do the best I could from Hogwarts but it wasn't the same. Especially since we were in the midst of a turf war. It's not the same one we had a couple of years ago. This one is against a new gang named bloodlust. They're trying to make neutral gang territory theirs, and the rest of the gangs want it to remain neutral. It's starting to get really violent now. Anyway, we named Noah - one of my best friends - the sub for me and then we were done. Since it was only 5:30 and also August 29th, I decided to go acquire my supplies from Diagon Alley.

I had just enough money to get me to the Leaky Cauldron. Walking into the dingy little pub, I wondered how they could manage to hide a place such as this from non - magic folk. Tom - the bartender - opened the door for me and I couldn't help but look around in awe.

Diagon Alley is a truly magical place. Everywhere you looked there was magic, you could - literally - feel it in the air. As I walked in, I noticed a giant building right in front of me, completely made of marble. It read Gringotts, which was my first stop. I entered and had to fight to keep a straight face. Goblins lined the walls from right to left and front to back on either side. I walked to the nearest teller, his name tag said Griphook. I introduced myself and asked for the muggle-born find, simultaneously handing him the key. "It's not very often muggle borns come to us without a professor" he commented. "Special case, I see"

"Professor Potter is waiting at Flourish and Blotts" I lied quickly, randomly naming a store I saw outside. "There was quite a line and we didn't want to stand in it" I smiled. He nodded his head and handed me a bag full of wizarding money - galleons - I knew they were called, I got the Potters to explain it to me.

Ollivanders was the next interesting...being (she wasn't convinced he was human) she met. Well, met after she pulled a blade on him for sneaking up on her. People really should stop doing that, it's known to be bad for one's health. She got her wand fairly quickly, Holly with dragon heartstring and Phoenix Feather. The rest of the stuff was fairly easy to get, stealing things from witches and wizards was so easy it wasn't even funny.

September first was here before she knew it.
