Why do I enjoy the relationship between Horace and Cassandra so much?

Cassandra has been my favorite character since I read the 2nd book.

And especially in the first few books, I wanted her and Will to have a relationship.

But after the 7th book I knew that Horace and Cassandra were just perfect for each other

and I just wanted them to come together.

They were just so cute! Both very brave and best friends! Horace is so sweet, protective and loyal. I couldn't think of a couple more suited for each other. (Of course also Will and Alyss ;))

Then in book 10 it was suddenly announced that they were engaged and I couldn't let that go.

There are so many small romantic scenes in the books about Alyss and Will, but much less about Cassandra and Horace.

While those are also main characters! I know that I am not the only one who feels that way. I mean ...

yes there were a few scenes that you could tell they had a little something.

For example when Horace told about Cassandra or Cassandra told Alyss about Horace and that she loved him.

But I would have liked it if there were scenes with the two alone.

So that you could really feel their bond with each other.

I could not let go of the fact that John just suddenly said: Oh yeah ... they are engaged, Now let's move on.

I would have loved it if there were some scenes that lead to it. Just like with Will and Alyss.

Just some stories about behind the scenes. So that you could tell they really liked each other and

that Cassandra was over Will! That we knew Cassandra and Horace would end up together.

You know...about how their relationship started,

how Horace asked Cassandra to marry and how she responded. How the first few years of parenting went and

the pregnancy and birth of Cassandra. It might have been a lot, but I personally would enjoy it very much.

It was just a bit unclear. And then it was announced that Horace had asked Cassandra to marry him ...

it was like: Ohhhh ... so you two were serious then?

Then I started with this app. I read many stories from others about their relationship

and then I thought that I could write down my thoughts and entertain you with it too.

So all those ideas were in my mind and I decided to write them down.

I hope you understand that I love John and the Ranger's apprentice series!

I would only have liked it even more if there was more to be told about their relationship.
