Hello all, midnightrebellion86 here.

This is it, the start of my OC's intro into the story. Before I start, though, my OC will have his flaws, despite also having powers of his own, and being the nephew of the science teacher.

Episode 1: Spinnerets Part 1

Monday, Oct. 7th 2013:

Quincy's P.O.V

I felt a strong wind blowing hard against my face as I opened my eyes. I felt heavy droplets of water relentlessly pelting every part of me. I looked up at the gray sky and saw a tornado tearing everything apart in its path. I myself was walking around in a ghost town with old buildings that were being pulled right from their foundations with ease in the distance.

I continued slowly walking along the dirt path, passing by a few buildings still untouched by the tornado. I made my way to a large red brick building with many of the windows sealed by cement, the front door sealed off to the right of the building, was a lot of overgrown weeds, which were now drowned by the heavy rain from the tornado. I was going to climb the latter to get to the second floor deck of the structure, but the tornado ripped it off, throwing it in the distance.

I was about to make a run for it, but the strong winds knocked me over, then I saw a bright flash, and woke up in class, 'Whoa!' I thought to myself.

The abandoned town I was walking through was immediately replaced by me sitting in the science lab with my Aunt Michelle at the head of the classroom teaching the class, "Now I want you to choose your lab partner," I heard her say, "Your teams will both write a joint essay that must be three pages long, and work on a lab experiment for tomorrow."

"Do we really have to do this?" Zachary, a jock asked.

I didn't like Zachary, and he annoyed me, "Or we can do a project on how many brain cells you kill when you get knocked on your head during football games," I suggested.

This got an angry stare from Zachary and a few giggles from the other two in the class.

My Aunt Michelle let out a long sigh before looking at Zachary, "Yes, Zachary. You're all expected to do this assignment," she said before looking in my direction, "And me and you are going to have a discussion after class. I have to stop by the business office, so wait for me outside the main building," she said before focusing on the whole class, "Now please choose your partners."

After my Aunt Michelle said this, I looked over at a kid with shaggy light brown hair, fair skin and brown eyes. This was Warren Graham, my number one best friend. I was about to ask him to be my partner, but a girl with her hair died dark purple, fair skin and dark eyes wearing glasses walked over to him first, "Warren, you want to be my lab partner?" she asked before winking at him and giving me a dirty look. That was Brooke Scott, a girl that was obsessed with Warren, 'Oh, I hate that bitch,' I thought to myself.

Warren looked back at the girl, and he looked at me with an apologetic look before sighing, "Sure," he answered.

'Bitch,' I thought to myself.

My aunt Michelle looked in my direction, "Well, I guess that leaves you and Zachary to pair up together," she said.

Zachary looked at my aunt, a bit annoyed, "Seriously?" he asked, "I have to work with him?"

Me, already not wanting to work with Zachary in the first place, glared at him, "I don't want to work with you, neither," I snapped, "You'll just drag me down, anyway. Being knocked on your ass and hit in the head fucks up the brain."

This made Zachary mad. His face was beet red and he got in my face, "Let's take it out to the parking lot, geek!" he threatened. Before anything could happen, the bell rang, "This isn't over."

With that, he and the others started leaving the classroom. Warren looked at me, "I'll see you later," he said, "I'm going to go to the dorm."

I grabbed my stuff and left the classroom before entering the hallway where people were talking.

I could hear two girls to my left gossiping. The first was Taylor, a blonde girl and the other was Courtney, a short haired girl with dark brown hair. The two were apart of the popular Vortex Club.

I made a right from the science room and began walking through the corridor. To my right, I passed a tall cheerleader, Dana Ward, a girl that's surprisingly not snobby, despite being in the Vortex Club. I walk a few feet and to my left, I could see my friend, Daniel DaCosta being harassed by Logan Robertson, 'Fucking Christ! How the hell does Daniel not lose his shit and come at them with a gun?' I thought to myself, 'Logan and the other popular kids just don't know when to stop.'

I passed up Alyssa, who had her nose in her phone. She was another of my friends, and one of the few people she'd hang out with. I nearly stepped on Stella, who was sitting on the ground with her nose in one of her textbooks. I reached the end of the corridor where the vending machines were to my right. I looked over at some of the items and just shook my head, 'Some of these brands of soda and chips make me gag,' I thought to myself. I looked up from the vending machines and saw one of those Rachel Amber missing fliers, 'Damn, for the person who put these up, I hope they find her.'

I stepped into the main lobby, and unlike earlier, I could no longer smell the aroma from what was on the lunch menu today. To my left was the exit/entrance to the main building, the Principal Wells' Office and his administrator's office. Straight ahead of me was the trophy case for both the swim team and the football team. Before the trophy case, though was the door to the dining room. The other side of the trophy case was the door to the kitchen.

To my right were the bathrooms, the business office and Mr. Jefferson's office.

I could see Zachary talking to a pretty girl with light brown hair. I remember her as Juliet Watson. She was the school reporter that wrote for the school paper, 'Damn, I love a sexy news reporter,' I thought to myself. I let that thought escape my mind as I took a few steps forward. I could see my Aunt standing by the business office, like she said she'd be. But then my mind was back on Zachary, as I could hear him complaining to Juliet about science class, mainly me, "Dude, I don't get why I have to take that stupid science class with those nerds," he complained, "I have to work together with the teacher's nephew."

I was really wishing I could do bad things to Zachary. I couldn't stand him at all. My mind was taken off of the jock when I looked up at the ceiling and saw this bright yellow spider with orange and black legs that resembled a golden silk orb-weaver. The spider was spinning a web, and I was not freaking out. Most people I knew had a terrible fear of spiders, including my Aunt Michelle, 'Damn, I wish I had a jar to catch this thing in,' I thought to myself as I pulled out my phone and opened the camera app and focused, 'I guess I can settle for the next best thing/' I took a picture of the spider, but right when the picture was taken—BANG!

I was back in science class, and everything looked very familiar, "Now I want you to choose your lab partner," Ms. Grant said, "Your teams will both write a joint essay that must be three pages long, and work on a lab experiment for tomorrow."

'Wait, this class just ended,' I thought to myself, 'That bitch Brooke was all too quick to beat me to the punch and force me to work with Zachary.'

Zachary was complaining again, so I decided to repeat what I said, "Or we can do a project on how many brain cells you kill when you get knocked on your head during football games," I suggested, again.

This got the same angry stare from Zachary and the same giggles from both Brooke and Warren. My Aunt Michelle lectured Zachary again, then lectured me and telling me to wait outside for her and for us to pick our partners. Already knowing that Brooke was going to call dibs on Warren, I decided to take advantage of the situation, "Warren, you want to work together?" I quickly asked.

This got an angry glare from Brooke.

Warren looked at me and nodded, "Sure," he said.

This only made Brooke even more angry, but she didn't say anything.

"Then that leaves both Ms. Scott and Mr. Riggins," Ms. Grant said.

Both Zachary and Brooke groaned.

The bell rang and we gathered our stuff, again and Warren faced me, "I'll see you later," he said.

"Alright," I replied.

I went to leave, just like last time. I made my way through the hallway, like the first time, and I reached the lobby after taking my time again. I saw Zachary complaining to Juliet about class, but this time, he was complaining about working with Brooke.

The last time, I saw that brightly colored spider, so I took out my phone again and waited before, like I expected, it reappeared. I took a picture of the creature and expected to hear a bang, but instead, the fire alarm went off, "Oh, shit!" I nearly dropped my phone at the sound, but I made a left towards the entrance.

Unfortunately, my Aunt Michelle saw me, "Don't think that just because there's a fire alarm that we're not going to have our talk!" I heard her shout in my direction.

"Damn," I said quietly as me, and a sea of other students left the building.

I waited outside until I saw my Aunt Michelle come outside and approached me. Her demeanor was much more serious than usual. She was holding a clipboard with a pen attached to it and she folded her arms, "Young man, that was not nice what you said to Mr. Riggins in class just a bit ago," she lectured, 'Oh great, a lecture,' I thought to myself. The science teacher sighed again and continued, "You've had this attitude for the past couple of weeks. What's wrong? I'm talking to you as your aunt, not your teacher."

I loved my Aunt Michelle, and had always gotten along with her, but I wasn't so sure if I should tell her what was going through my mind or not.

After thinking it over for a bit, I finally spoke, "I'm just irritated by coming here for one thing, only to have that taken away," I said.

Ms. Grant gave me a sympathetic look and put her hand on my shoulder, "I know you miss Ms. Hoida," she said softly.

It was true. Ms. Hoida was my favorite teacher not named Michelle Grant. I had come to Blackwell because of their English and creative writing program. I was always a fan of the 'what if' scenario. It started when I was just eight years old. I was watching a classic Disney movie from 1994, The Lion King. It had always bothered me on how quickly the creators killed off King Mufasa. The eight year old part of me would constantly wonder what would happen if Simba doesn't listen to Scar when he tells him to work on his roar and not cause the stampede, or Scar has second thoughts and actually helps his brother up from the edge. Growing up, I always found myself daydreaming of certain scenarios playing out in real life.

I was taken out of my musings when my aunt continued, "Yes, it is too bad that you lost some support and the reason for coming here, but I can't have you being rude to students," she lectured, "Now, before I give you your punishment, can you please sign this petition against David Madsen's security proposal?"

Another staff member I couldn't stand, Deputy Nutsack, "Yeah," I said before taking the clipboard and signing my name to it, "Anything to make that generic ripoff of a police officer fail."

My aunt gave me a stern look, "Hey, I won't have you talking like that about other staff members, now," she lectured. My lips moved, as I was about to argue, but she didn't let me start, "Don't make your punishment worse. Oh, and you really should be taking your came when you're out and about. I know you can see well enough and get around without it, but it would let people know that glasses won't help you."

While I was getting lectured, I could see someone approaching us. She had light brown short hair with bangs, fair skin and blue eyes. She was wearing a gray hoodie, a pink t-shirt and jeans. It was plain, but I had to admit, she was pretty damn hot. It was mainly hi and bye with me and her. It was Max Caulfield, the girl my best friend, Warren liked a lot, 'Shit, if Warren wasn't trying to date her, I'd definitely try,' I thought to myself.

Unfortunately for me, my aunt wasn't done with me yet, "Now you will write Zachary a letter of apology for what you said to him in class today," she ordered, "I suggest you head back to your dorm and get started on it right now."

I turned away without even saying bye. I was not going to write him an apology letter. I had left cussing under my breath. That's when I got a text message.

I opened my phone and saw that it was from Alyssa.

Alyssa: u got my soda?

Me: shit not back yet.

Me: gonna check now.

Alyssa: ok knock on my door.

Alyssa: if idont answer leave em in my room.

I closed the text app on my phone before putting it in my pocket, 'Shit, now I have to run back to the business office and ask if my package came yet,' I thought to myself as I rushed back up the concrete steps and back into the main building.

The hall was quiet and I rushed down the hall and made a left once I reached the business office. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that the lights were still on. I knocked on the door and waited, "It's open," a woman's voice said. I grabbed the door handle and opened the door before walking in. I was met with the overwhelming smell of perfume that only old people would wear. Sitting at a desk was a middle aged woman with fair skin, graying dark brown hair tied in a ponytail and green eyes. The crows feet below her eyes told her age. She was wearing a white long sleeved blouse and black slacks. She looked in my direction with a smile, "How can I help you, Quincy?" she asked me, "I'm surprised you're not back at your dorm."

I laughed, "Oh, you know me so well, Ms. Vardeck," I joked. Ms. Vardeck, while not a teacher, was a pretty cool staff member. She looked like she could be that strict adult with a shitty personal life that takes it out on students, but she's pretty cool, "Anyway, I was wondering if a package came for me today?"

The middle aged woman just stood up before motioning for me to come to the back room where the packages were kept. I followed her in there, and the lighting was a bit dim compared to the office itself. There was a large box that had tape that read 'Fragile' in red letters, "Its heavy," Ms. Vardeck stated, "So be careful."

I nodded and knelt down and grabbed the package. It was pretty heavy, but I figured I could carry it to the dorms. I looked over at the middle aged woman, "Thanks, Ms. Vardeck," I said gratefully.

"You're welcome," she replied, "You have a good night now."

I nodded before leaving the back room and the business office. I made a right and walked down the hall and towards the exit again. Once getting back outside, I rushed down the steps, as the box was starting to get a bit heavy. But I couldn't help but stop and laugh when I saw Trevor on the ground holding his balls in pain, 'Oh, how I wish I would've seen this happen,' I thought to myself before continuing towards the dorms. I made it to the dorm, and I was so relieved. I reached the steps leading to the dorms. No one was outside, but I did see Samuel placing a paint bucket next to the steps. I entered the dorm, and luckily for me, the boys were on the first floor, while the girls had the upper floor..

When I opened the door to my floor, i walked through and entered a small corridor where the vending machine and laundry room were to my left, while the TV Lounge was to my right. I continued ahead and entered the area where the boys stayed. I was met with blaring music coming from some of the rooms, or sounds of video games and cussing. There was the overwhelming smell of fart sweaty shoes, but I was used to it.

I continued until I reached Logan's room to my left and Zachary's room to my right. I passed the two rooms before making a right and walking towards into the other part of the hall and all the way down to room 103, my room. My room had a new room slate next to it. The door had a few dents, due to me having to remove the 'Storage Room' plate from the room.

I put my package down, took out my key to my room and unlocked the door before opening it. My arms were tired as hell from carrying that damn thing. I pushed the box into my room before shutting the door and locking it.

For a dorm room, I had a decently sized room. In the upper right corner of the room was my bed, as well as my window. To the right of my bed on the right wall was a poster of Sia Furler, one of my favorite singers, and my celebrity crush.

I had a large closet for clothes with a mirror to the right of that directly to my left once entering the room. To the left of my bed was my nightstand/desk, which housed my laptop, a different cell phone, a lamp and note paper. Passed the closet was a bit of a makeshift kitchen/living room. I had a decent sized classic tube analog TV, a round coffee table, a red couch, a recliner chair and another smaller couch. To the right of that was another counter which housed my microwave and snacks. To the left of that was my mini fridge/freezer. There was one corner of my room that was reserved with my LEGO set, which had a half done project of a Reese's peanut butter cup with eyes wearing a crown.

I decided to open the package, and once I got through all the packing peanuts and bubble wrap, I pulled out the contents of my order, which consisted of four 1/14 liter bottles of Coca Cola from Mexico, a 24 pack of Mr. Cola, a 24 pack of Raspberry Coca Cola, a case of Mexican Pepsi and a 24 pack of Double Cola.

This was by far my biggest order yet, but that's because a couple of people wanted some. For me, I had given up on Coke with high fructose corn syrup, same with Pepsi. Alyssa ordered one of the big Cokes and six of the others.

I quickly get her stuff together and put them in a smaller box for easy carrying. I use some of the leftover packaging before taping the box. Once I was done, I left the room and locked it again before heading down the hall, and up the stairs to the girls floor. I was met with the aroma of different fruity shampoos, conditioners and perfumes. I could hear gossip and quiet music. Like my own floor, Alyssa was in a different part of the hall.

The only difference was, the double doors that lead to the other hall was intact on this floor. I opened the doors and entered the other hall. I went to room 226, which was Alyssa's room. I put the box down before knocking. With no response, I opened the door and grabbed the box before entering the room. Alyssa's room was smaller than mine by a lot. I placed her package by her desk, where there was a note for me, 'Hey, here's the money for my soda.' It read.

I grabbed the money before leaving the room. I really didn't want to be nosy and search her room. But I was curious of the room that was directly above mine. It still read 'Storage Room'.

I decided to ignore it, though and go back to my room. But just when I was close to reaching the door that lead downstairs, I came across the words on a room slate that read 'Taylor is a slave.'

Taylor, one of the girls I saw in the halls after class, one fo the popular girls. She was in my English class, and while she could be rude, there was something about her that made me not hate her. The first couple weeks, I had witnessed Victoria get mad at Taylor if she didn't get an A on assignments she didn't even do herself.

I had to think of whether or not to change what was written.

Delete message on slate. (Drag mouse to the left)

Slightly edit what's on the slate. (Drag mouse to the right)

I decided to just add the word not next to the word is before going about my business.

I reached my floor and made my way back to my room. Once I was back, I decided to text Alyssa.

Me: I put your soda by your desk.

I didn't get a response, which meant that she was either reading a book or upset about something.

I went to sit down on my bed, but I had almost sat one something round, which was a clear raffle ball drawing thing. It had a lot of dust on it. I laughed when looking at it, as it made me feel special to have one of two biggest rooms in all of Blackwell. From what my Aunt Michelle told me was that this room and room 228 were rooms that every student wanted. The dorms had opened in 1998, so the first raffle was at the end of that year. The requirements back them were 1, you had to be a senior. 2. you couldn't be a new student and 3. you had to be on the honor roll. From what I was told, the raffle was discontinued in 2003 when people started cheating to get the room, and fights would break out amongst both male and female students. So for me, I was living in a room that hadn't been used in a decade. I only got this room, as I was allowed to come to Blackwell after my Aunt Michelle pulled some strings, and all the other rooms had been taken. I had previously gone to the blind school in Wisconsin, so since I was already used to dorm life, she wanted me to stay in the dorms rather than live with her.

A lot of people didn't like me, due to getting into Blackwell with my aunt working here, but there were some that were cool with me.

I decided to check my other phone, the one I was forced to submit to Principal Wells. The one thing I hated about this school was every student had each oterr's numbers. But I made sure to give a burner phone number, and keep my number to myself, save for those I considered friends. This meant that I wouldn't get random chain texts from other students. The only people that had my number were Ms. Grant for obvious reasons, Warren, Alyssa, Daniel and Ms. Hoida.

Once I turned the phone on and let it boot up, I had a ton of chain messages from people I didn't talk to, which consisted of events that had come and gone, like several of Kate Marsh's bible study sessions, Tyron Meyes selling his bike, old assignments from several of my teachers and other garbage. I shut the phone off and put it back on my desk, 'This was not the case back at the blind school,' I thought to myself. I really did miss that school, as we had our own bathroom and showers there, and it was much bigger than Arcadia Bay. I had gotten kicked out of my old school for destruction of property when I threw a pool ball and broke a window when I got pissed.

The one thing I liked about here, though was there were no house parents like the blind school had, and there was a later curfew here. Also, the rules of not being allowed in the residential part of the dorms of people of the opposite sex was never enforced, as guys were always in the girls rooms and vice versa.

The curfew for here was 11:00 P.M, but the blind school's curfew was 9:00 P.M.

It was too quiet in my liking, so I opened the music app on my phone and put on one of my favorite songs from Sia. It was the more upbeat version, but I liked the piano one just as much, so I programmed it to play both back to back.

'I'm in here Can anybody see me? Can anybody help? I'm in here, a prisoner of history Can anybody help?'

I relaxed at my desk as I let Sia's voice echo throughout my room.

Can't you hear my call? Are you coming to get me now?
I've been waiting for You to come rescue me I need you to hold All of the sadness I can not Living inside of me I'm in here I'm trying to tell you something Can anybody help?

While the song was still playing, I decided to take out a blank shee from one of my notepads. Knowing my aunt, she was going to want me to write my stupid apology in hand writing, not typed. I really didn't want to write the letter, so instead, I began writing a story about Zachary and Juliet having an argument over something and that Ms. Grant would forget about the apology letter. As I was writing, I saw that same spider from earlier when class had just let out, 'What the hell is this?' I wondered, 'That's the exact same spider from before.' I took a deep breath and decided to go to my mini fridge and grab myself a Double Cola I still had left over from my previous order. I twisted the top open and took a big gulp and let the cold enter my system as the music continued playing. It was now on the piano version of the song, now.

I'm in here
I'm calling out but you can't hear
Can anybody help?

Can't you hear my call?
Are you coming to get me now?
I've been waiting for
You to come rescue me
I need you to hold
All of the sadness I can not
Living inside of me

I'm crying out, I'm breaking down
I am fearing it all
Stuck inside these walls
Tell me there is hope for me
Is anybody out there listening?

Can't you hear my call?
Are you coming to get me now?
I've been waiting for
You to come rescue me
I need you to hold
All of the sadness I can not
Living inside of me

Can't you hear my call?
Are you coming to get me now?
I've been waiting for
You to come rescue me
I need you to hold
Living inside of me

I'm in here
Can anybody see me?
Can anybody help?

Once the song ended, I finished my soda and put the cap back on before putting it into my recycle box.

I checked the time, and I realized that it was getting close to dinnertime.

That's it for this chapter.
