Twelve: Toddlers, Marriage & Engagement Part. 1

Steve stood in the middle of the night and moved toward the room of his daughter. He walked around the room as JARVIS turned the lights on. He looked down and saw the crying little girl and he carried her in his arms.

"How are you my little Penny?" he said softly, and she hiccupped calming down. Steve had become the Father of the year according to Toni. "Are you hungry, because you do not feel wet."

The 5-month-old just slowly bounced in his arms. He noticed that she had calm down.

"Did you miss your mum and I?" Steve asked. They had decided to keep Penny in their room for the past few months and this was barely the first month they had put her on the nursery.

"You know I feel bad I didn't hear her crying." he turned around to see Toni standing there.

"I was actually up, and you have been working hard." Steve told her. He wasn't kidding they were thinking of moving out of New York for a bit. Something that Toni was not liking mostly because they would be away from Gotham and her Father.

"You know, we don't have to go to Los Angeles." Steve told her.

"Dad wants to make sure that we…"

"I think Howard doesn't want you leaving, he has been putting to many excuses." Steve said with a soft laugh.

"You think so."

"I know so. Now let's take our daughter or she won't sleep."

"We have to stop babying her too much." Toni said but Steve knew that it wasn't going to change.

Gotham City

Brianna and Clark were going at it in the Bat Cave. It had been a month since they had found out each other's secret identities.

"You could have been injured." Clark told her.

"Clark, I know, what I am doing?" Brianna told him.

"That."

"I can handle the Joker; Clark I need you to trust me."

"I trust you, buy what am I going to do if your lost, what is our daughter going to do." Clark told her. That was the worry, that she understood.

"I can assure you Clark, that I will not leave my daughter motherless if I can help it." Brianna said and Clark just kissed her. They broke the kiss when they heard the baby monitor.

"I need to check on Rachel." Brianna said removing the last part of the suit.

A Year Later

Toni was looking at herself in the mirror, she was nervous. Her and Steve had been engaged for a while and she had woken that morning nervous. She heard the door open and both Martha and Brianna came inside. Brianna was wearing a golden dress.

"I see the beautiful bride is nervous." Martha said with a smile.

"I'm fine." Toni said.

"I can see it, but you also seem almost ready to run." Brianna said.

"Never." Toni said with a smile. "Now, I think I am missing something."

"Yes, your veil." Brianna said.

"Which, I believe…" Toni began getting the veil out and giving it to Martha. "The honor I belongs to you."

Martha looked at Toni and smiled touching her face.

"Maria would be so happy to see you here today. But I would be honor to see the first of my daughters married."

"Don't make me cry Aunt Martha or Pepper will be upset." Toni said with a smile, she bent down, and Martha put the veil on. Pepper came in and smiled at them.

"Ms. Stark, your Father is outside." Pepper said coming inside.

"Oh, let him in." Toni said with a smile. Howard walked inside and he felt his breath go seeing his daughter in a wedding dress.

"You look beautiful." Howard said.

"Thank you." Toni said. Howard moved forward and grabbed her hands.

"Oh, I never imagined this would ever happen." Howard told her.

"I know." Toni said.

"I have never seen such a beautiful bride."

"You are being biased." Toni said.

"No, I am not, you look beautiful and I will be happy to walk you down the aisle."

On the other side of the room Clark and Steve were getting ready with Rhodey.

"You know, I never thought I see the day." Rhodey said.

"See exactly what?" Steve asked.

"Toni finally getting married." Rhodey said. "Please take care of her."

"I will."

"You seem not exactly nervous." Clark told him.

"I feel really happy." Steve said, he was dressed in his old uniform from WWII.

Howard and Toni were standing there waiting for everything.

"You are shaking." Howard told her.

"Just nervous."

"He will make you happy." Howard said and when the music began, Toni looked forward. She could see both Penny and Rachel in their flower girl gowns sitting with Pepper. She looked at Steve standing there, and she smiled wider and wider.

"Take care of her, Steve."

"I will." Steve said.
