Hey everyone! Story Nado here!

Sorry for the long wait (again)!

This chapter acts as sort of a "bridge" between the previous chapter, and the next one.

So, without further ado, here we go!

Grim was back at the Diaz household, relaxing on the couch, having completed another successful day of...well, you know.

He was snacking on a bowl of nachos, happily laughing at the TV, which was airing a pretty terrible Scooby Doo rip-off.

Just then, a strange, small blue figure with a beard hopped up next to Grim.

"Hey, Grim, you gonna finish those?",asked the blue man as he pointed to the remaining chips.

Grim sighed in annoyance,"What do you want, Glossaryck?"

Glossaryk replied,"Oh, nothing at all. Just feeling a little peckish..."

Then, out of nowhere, Eris appeared in a flash, carrying a rather terrified Star and Marco by their backs.

She smiled, "Hello Grim! Just bringing these two cuties back from our little trip!"

Glossaryk waved, "Hey Eris!"

The goddess cheerfully waved back at the magical being, and placed the young teens on the floor.

Grim cocked his head to the side and asked,"Say, what happened to them?"

"Oh, they're just horrified at all the wonderful chaos we experienced in Kansas!", said Eris as she playfully rubbed the hairs of both teens.

The reaper then asked, "Why were you even in Kansas?"

Eris shrugged,"Eh, I just did it for the giggles!"

Both of them heard Marco murmur, "So many tornadoes...burning cows...and flying houses...so many..."

Star saw one of the laser puppies chew on a red ball, and she said, "M-Must hug puppy..."

The princess slowly crawled over to the puppy and began embracing it tightly, much to the canine's confusion.

Marco got up and said, "I think I need to go upstairs and stay there for a while..."

He walked upstairs with an unsettled expression on his face, while Star continued to lay on the floor, gently stroking the laser puppy's fur.

Grim glared at Eris and exclaimed,"Well, good job Eris! You traumatized them!"

The goddess rolled her eyes and said,"Oh please, it's not that bad. Why, they'll probably forget about it tomorrow morning."

Grim grumbled,"I hope you're right, mon..."

Eris smiled,"Well, it was nice chatting with you, Grim! Ta ta for now!"

She snapped her fingers, and immediately disappeared in a flash.

Grim sat back down to finish eating, but saw that all of his chips were gone. He heard a burp and saw Glossaryk with an comically oversized belly.

Grim sighed deeply, and began changing the channel.

The Next Day...

Grim woke up to the sound of music playing downstairs.

He thought,"What the heck is going on?"

The reaper quickly put on his robe, and went to see what the commotion was about.

He saw Star and Marco happily dancing in the middle of the living room. A boombox was playing the 1990 R&B classic "Never Know Love" by Johnny Gill.

Grim asked,"Why are you two listening to this synthy garbage?"

Marco cheerfully replied,"Well, my dad wanted to help us forget about what we saw yesterday, so he put on one of his old tunes for us!"

"Suprisingly, it's a really fun song!", added Star, who then proceeded to lip sync to the chorus.

Grim glared at the boombox and used his scythe to send it to another dimension.

Star frowned,"Aw man!"

"Well, there goes our old boombox...",said Marco as he sat down on the couch.

Suddenly, they heard the doorbell ring.

Star exclaimed in a sing-songy manner, "I'll get it!"

She opened the door to see her friend, Flying Princess Pony Head, hold a stack of party flyers using her horn's magic. She quickly gave one to Star.

"Hey girl!", exclaimed Pony Head, "Just wanted to let you know that some weirdos moved in next door to your Earth folks' place! They're puttin' up these party flyers around town for Thursday night's Halloween bash, and-"

"WAIT A MINUTE! IT'S OCTOBER?! ALREADY?!", exclaimed a rather shocked Marco.

Star scratched her head in confusion,"Yeah, wasn't it, like, summer in the last chapter?"

Pony Head replied,"The author wanted to do a Halloween themed chapter, so here we are."

The unicorn princess floated inside and smirked,"How's it going, Earth turd?"

Marco replied,"Well, aside from...some stuff that happened in Kansas...we're doing good."

Pony Head saw Grim and asked,"Hey, you're that reaper guy that Star was talkin' about, right?"

Grim nodded,"Why, yes I am. And you are Pony Head, correct?"

The unicorn princess gasped and shouted, "YES! YES I AM!"

There was an awkward silence, and the reaper slowly turned his attention to whatever was on the TV, muttering, "Ok, then..."

Pony Head thought,"The Grim Reaper knows my name! I don't know if I should be scared, or turned on..."

Star spoke up,"So, uh, Pony Head, who are the new neighbors?"

PH refocused her attention on the Mewman princess,"Oh, them? They're called the Malicious Family, and they said that they've just moved from the Underworld."

Star's eyes widened in shock, and she began to nervously twist her hair bangs.

"Uhh, Pony Head, please don't tell me you're referring to-"

"NO WAY! NUH-UHH!", exclaimed Pony Head, "Not that Underworld! I'm referrin' to Earth's Underworld!"

Star sighed in relief as Pony Head gently nudged her friend's shoulder with her...well, head.

"You got nothin' to worry about, B-Fly.", said Pony Head in a reassuring tone of voice.

"Thanks, Pony."

Pony Head continued, "Now, back to the stuff about the party! I offered to help out!"

Star smiled,"D'aww, that's so sweet! It's nice that you're being really generous for once!"

Pony Head rolled her eyes, "Pfft! As if! I'm not doing this for 'generosity', I'm doing this so I can have their sweet hot tub!"

Upon hearing the unicorn head's reasons, Marco sighed and thought, "I'm not surprised..."

"I'm gonna continue handin' these flyers out! Later, B-Fly!", said Pony Head as she flew out the door.

"Bye Pony!", exclaimed Star as she cheerfully waved at her friend.

Star looked at the flyer that was still in her hand.

She turned to Grim and Marco, and asked, "So, y'all ready to find some costumes?"
