Hello, everyone!
Long time no see, at least for this story. There are a few stories on my account, including this one, that were published between 2010 and 2014. These were my first attempts at writing anything and they hold a special place in my heart because of it, which is why I've left them up for so long despite them being almost laughably terrible. I remember coming home from school and hopping on my computer to scour AZLyrics and Polyvore for the perfect items and songs to represent my masterpieces, writing these nonsensical short stories, and really thinking I was doing the damn thing. I was also ten years old when I joined this site; I'm 20 now, and I'd like to think that my writing has improved since then.
Without these first few stories, I wouldn't be where I am today. Writing has become my outlet when I need to escape my life for a bit and it truly makes me happy, but I know that these stories are a bad representation of me as a (sorta) mature human and my writing abilities. Therefore, I've decided to put them under construction, so to speak. I went through and reread all of them, and I chose a few that I think I can rewrite and save, and I also have decided to delete others. I'll save them in a folder on my laptop so I can still look back at them and appreciate them when I'm sentimental, but I no longer wish to have them on my profile. I just wanted to give warning to anyone who still reads these stories, if anyone does. I will give it a week from today and on Friday February 28th, I'll delete the few I have chosen to delete. This will give me time to save all of them and organize them.
The others, however, I won't delete. If I think I can save them by rewriting them, I will leave those stories up for the time being. In my free time, between writing for my newer stories, I will work on the rewrites and will update them once I'm finished writing them so that I can finally mark them as complete. I know it will be time consuming, but this is something I'm passionate about and I want to do this.
Thank you to everyone who gave me a chance when I was starting out and I hope, if you stumble upon these old stories, you'll stick around and give my newer stuff a chance.
