Chapter 13

Sakura swiftly cut down a Zetsu clone with ease, skillfully chopping him up into pieces using her daggers. One came out of the ground below her but she punched him back down, effectively crushing the ground. Multiple more charged at her but she disposed of them with a ferocious roar.

"My, my, Sakura-san." The original said from the sideline, wearing a smile of mockery. "So hostile today. What's wrong with you?"

"Fuck off." She snarled.

"Is it the fact that Deidara is gone and you have no one to fornicate with anymore?" Dramatically, he threw his head back and laughed, clapping his hands like a seal. "I would offer my body but I don't have a penis."

"If I kill you, I would assume Madara-sensei would be mad... But who cares?" Wood shot out of the ground, aimed at attacking the original White Zetsu. Fearfully, he shrieked and swiftly sunk into the wall.

He wasn't correct completely. She did not miss Deidara and she did not want to have sex with him. However, she missed having someone to mess about with, to annoy the hell out of and have a laugh about... or with. It didn't matter all that much though. There was nothing she could do about it and it wasn't like she actually cared about Deidara.

The pinkette continued training throughout the day, honing her skills in various areas. When the sun had set, Madara came to get her. "Sakura." He said. "It is time for Itachi and Sasuke's battle."

And then there was that. One of them would die, probably Itachi, and then the truth about the Uchiha Massacre would be revealed, showing how corrupt Konoha actually was.

Sakura almost sighed at being interrupted, but seeing Itachi's Sharingan in action would be beneficial to her so she decided that Madara making her watch was a good idea. However, her sensei said that he would not be watching with her. Instead, the masked man was going to play with a group sent from Konoha and finally reveal his Sharingan to them.

It seemed as though they were almost at the final stages of Project Tsuki No Me.

As Sakura watched Itachi and Sasuke battle, she found herself intrigued with how much her former teammate had improved. However, he still hadn't awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan and that was a big weakness of his.

Itachi claimed to want his eyes, though Sakura believed he wanted Sasuke to take his.

The pinkette wondered about the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. While the evolved form of the Sharingan already required a sacrifice to awaken, to make it permanent, an Uchiha would have to take the eyes of someone else. Their were so many fucked up things about this clan.

The cherry blossom had gone blind - or almost blind since her vision came back before the surgery but was blurry - and had to use Sharingan Madara had hidden away to keep her vision. Her sensei had told her it was because she wasn't an Uchiha that her vision had gone without the Mangekyo Sharingan. It didn't matter to her though, she had a second set of eyes and now her doujutsu was eternal, even if she did awaken the Mangekyo.

When. She corrected herself.

She froze upon seeing Itachi's hellish Susano'o. It was a warrior, holding a large sword and shield. She had never heard of this type of technique before, Madara had never told her.

At last, Itachi died and Sasuke fainted moments later. He disappeared in a swirl, and once he woke up, a masked man told him the truth about his brother.

At the cliffside, Sakura thought it was odd how openly he cried in front of everyone. Loud cries of sadness and sorrow erupted from his mouth, streams of tears flowing down his cheeks like the blood from using Amaterasu. Eventually, he stopped crying and occaisional sniffles could be heard. He appeared to be thinking about something, his eyebrows furrowed together in deep concentration.

The only people who stood with him were Sakura, Madara, Karin and Suigetsu. The remnants of Hebi shot the pinkette odd looks, most likely remembering her easily killing Jugo.

"We'll now be known as Taka." Sasuke eventually spoke, addressing his team with his eyes closed. "And we have a new goal - to destroy Konohagakure!" His eyes snapped open, revealing his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Sakura snorted. Get in line. She thought.

It never occured to Sakura how different things would be once Sasuke joined the Akatsuki. She just thought he would be there and she wouldn't have to see him if she didn't want to.

Boy, was she wrong.

He lived in the room right next to hers. The Uchiha had nightmares, and made a lot of noise throughout them. Couldn't he just suffer in silence while she got her beauty rest?

Now, the former student of Tsunade was a very petty woman. So, in the morning, when everything was quiet, she made sure to make A LOT of noise when rubbing one out. She would chant names, sing curses and moan joyously upon reaching her climax. Her neighbour would bang on the wall, obviously annoyed.

"Why are you doing this?" Younger had asked one time.

"It's fun!" Inner replied.

"It's stupid."

"You're stupid!"

The girl's antics continued until Madara told her he had received an "anonymous complaint" about her masturbation habbits.

Sakura was seething. The prideful Uchiha had actually snitched on her, as if they were in the Academy and the masked man was their teacher. So, the pinkette tried to find other ways to annoy him - such as walking around the hideout naked. Sasuke would retaliate by walking around shirtless in front of Karin, who would squeal in delight, which would irritate the cherry blossom.

And Suigetsu Hozuki was a whole other situation. He constantly flirted with her, despite being rejected countlessly. He would make comments, and she would respond with a look of disinterest. She didn't have a particularly high libido so, even though she found him attractive, she could resist him. But, the more she rejected him, the harder he tried.

And this continued on for weeks until, one day, Madara called Sasuke and Sakura in for a mission. They had to capture the Hachibi - the Eight-Tails - together in the Hidden Cloud Village. Needless to say, neither of them were pleased. The Uchiha voiced his discontent at the situation, but Sakura went along. She knew better than to argue with her sensei. And with the number of Akatsuki members decreasing, no thanks to Sasuke, the existing members had to step it up.

"Slow down!" Suigetsu shouted to the former teammates as they sped through the trees, on route to the Land of Lightning. "It's not a race! We can take break, right?" He was silenced by a smack to the head by Karin.

"Shut up, annoying fool!" The Uzumaki snarled, jumping ahead of him. He rubbed his head in obvious pain, muttering curses underneath his breath.

Sakura refused to see the similarities between them and her and Naruto. She hated how she was capturing a jinchuriki as a part of a team. She had proved she could fight Bijuu by taking down and capturing the Nibi all on her own. It was cruel of her master to send her off with the Taka, with Sasuke.

"We're close." Karin announced. The pinkette had to give Orochimaru's surbordinate some credit. Her sensory skills were phenominal, that was probably why her former teammate chose her to be in his squad. "There!" She said, pointing to an area that was close to a temple of some sort.

It was called the Storm Cloud Ravine. The jinchuriki of the Eight-Tails looked at them, tilting his head in curiosity as they all appeared in front of him. He had white hair, dark skin and quite a muscular build. His forehead protector was white and he had numerous swords strapped to his back.

"Who are all of you, fools ya fools?" He asked, getting into a stance. "Black robes and red clouds, yo. Killer B gonna kick the Akatsuki out, yo."

...What? The Wood Release User asked herself, completely confused as to what the Hachibi was doing. The Taka looked repulsed by him, especially Sasuke.

"He's worse than Naruto!" Inner complained, hands on her ears.

"It was kinda cool, yo. Don't be a fool, yo." Younger rapped, making Outer Sakura's eye twitch in irritation.

"You are the jinchuriki to the Hachibi, correct?" She asked, despite knowing the answer. "We'd like you to come with us."

"Pretty girl's making demands, needs to know that I'm in command." Killer B replied, making the pinkette seethe.

"He's got a lot of swords on his back." Suigetsu remarked, withdrawing his own blade. "Wonder how many I should take..." His arm that held Zabuza's sword grew in size.

"Karin, stand back." The Uchiha told his teammate. She nodded and moved to the sidelines.

"Killer B's stronger than you, you'll see. Wheeeeee!" The Bijuu host yelled, charging at Suigetsu. The Mist ninja swiped his blade at his opponent, who swiftly dodged the attack. B grabbed his own sword and sliced at his head, forcing him to dematerialise into water.

He appeared behind the jinchuriki, attempting to catch him off guard with another attack with his blade. However, it was caught and he was pushed back.

Sakura transferred chakra into her daggers and teleported behind the target. Using Suigetsu's sword, he blocked her attack. Sasuke used his own sword to attack the jinchuriki from the front, using lightning chakra around his blade. But, B called upon his own lightning chakra and it sparked around his whole body, electrifying the former Team Seven members. Still, Sasuke was still able to retrieve Suigetsu's sword back.

The cherry blossom put her daggers away and formed some hand signs. Wood Style: Wood Dragon Jutsu! A dragon made out of branches was soaring into the Hachibi's direction.

"Lightning Style: Lariat!" The rapper yelled. Lightning was charged into his arm and destroyed the dragon easily. "Your jutsu is whack, yo. Now you gonna get a smack, yo."

He's so annoying.

"Try it out, you'll see. It's really fun for me." Younger was a fan. "Wheeeee!"

The Uchiha activated his Sharingan and tried close combat once again. Killer B took out his seven swords and carried out such an unorthodox fighting style that neither Sakura's nor Sasuke's Sharingan could keep up. It was odd, seeing him attack the Mangekyo Sharingan user so easily, landing a critical hit.

Karin was healing him so, for a little while, it was up to Suigetsu and Sakura. However, the former was hit with a Lightning Release technique and needed some time to recover. Thus, it was Tobi's student's turn to fight.

"Let's try this!" She shouted, activating her favourite genjutsu with her kekkei genkai. However, Killer B seemed to know what she was up to because he began to avoid her eyes, only focusing on her feet.

"Yo, B." Gyuki said to his host. "I tried to speak to her telepathically but it doesn't seem to be working. It's not working on that Uchiha either."

"No need, my friend. Now it's time for this to end." He replied.

Shit. Sakura thought. He won't look into my eyes. Normal genjutsu won't work because the Hachibi will break it. I need to come up with something else.

"Wood Clone Jutsu!" Five wooden Sakuras sprouted out of her back, surrounding her opponent. B put away six of his seven swords and prepared to fight them with one. Immediately, he sliced one down, avoiding a punch from it. Another clone tried to grab onto him, but he destroyed it with a kick. The last three all tried a simultaneous attack but he used his lariat, effectively destroying them all with one hit.

The real Sakura was above him, infusing her fist with chakra. Charging down at the ground, Gyuki told his host to avoid the attack so he left the scene as soon as he could. The entire area shook with her punch, but the Hachibi had avoided the attack.

"B, you have to leave now. You had your fun, but it's getting dangerous."

"I'll listen to you this once, Gyuki. All those fools got lucky." He replied, leaving to go work on some more rhymes.

"Where did he go?" Sakura asked Karin, who had finished healing Sasuke. She sensed for his chakra and led them to where he was.

The Crashing Waves Coast was a popular setting within the Land of Lightning. Killer B sat on the beach, writing down more rhymes for a show he wanted to put on back in Kumogakure. So, he was a bit annoyed when the Taka and Sakura reappeared. He didn't like being interrupted when he was working on new material.

"Annoying little fish are back, yo. Gonna finish them with this next attack, yo." He rapped, focusing on Gyuki's chakra.

"I honestly can't wait for him to die." Inner Sakura said.

"That's really mean, yo. He-"

That's enough! Sakura yelled at the voices. She was already dealing with his horrible raps on the outside, she didn't want them in her head.

Red bubbles spread across B, forming three tails and cloaking around his entire body. His power increased ten-fold, shocking his opponents.

"That's..." Sasuke trailed off, obviously remembering something from the past. Karin seemed as if she was about to freak out.

"He's calling upon the Hachibi's chakra. Brace yourselves!" Sakura had to yell the ending because the wind began to pick up.

"Wheeeeee!" The jinchuriki shouted, appearing behind the pinkette. She divided into cherry blossoms to avoid his quick attack but he ended up following after her. Landing a punch to her stomache, she hunched over in pain and then felt a harsh kick to her face, sending her flying to the ground. B moved on quickly to attack the rest of the group.

The chakra around his body burned her, and she tried to heal herself but it was very slow. If she had the Strength of a Hundred Seal, this would have been much easier.

While he tried attacking Sasuke, Sakura used her Wood Release to restrain his movements. "Got you." She winked, happy that he thought she was weaker than she looked and thought two hits were enough to take her down. She had endured worse attacks than that.

"Wheeeee!" The host screamed, multiple more tails forming as the cloak around his body sunk into his skin. The branches broke and he jumped up into the sky, now with six tails and in the version two of the Bijuu cloak. "Got you, fool ya fool!" He insulted her, landing in the water, causing a wave to crash into his enemies.

"Wood Stlye: Wood Dragon Barrage!" Sakura caused an onslaught of dragons to charge at the Six-Tailed Beast. It was easily countered by the Tailed-Beast Bomb, forcing the Akatsuki members to move back from the blast. The pinkette tried to use wood to capture the beast but, either it broke the wood or dove underwater to evade it.

Sasuke used his Great Fireball technique to try and do some damage but it was countered by water techniques. Suigetsu tried using water techniques to fight but they barely did any damage.

"Electrify the water!" Sakura yelled at her former teammate. He nodded and a stream of lightning was produced from his hands. Their opponent used his own lightning chakra to block the attack, unaffected by it.

"Wheeeee!" The Hachibi's tails suddenly lashed out at them, knocking Suigetsu away. He was low on chakra and couldn't morphe into water anymore so it was a direct attack.

Sakura tried to dodge the tail whips directed at her. She avoided many attacks but she didn't expect ink to be thrown at her. It was an odd technique but she soon discovered that it had temporarily blinded her.

Flashes of that mission entered her mind. The pain of losing her eyes and arm, the plan to save those Konoha ninja and the explosion. It all came rushing back to her despite her having not thought about it for years.

Maybe B knew she was distracted or maybe it was his plan all along. But she felt great pain when a tail went straight through her stomache, causing her to cough up blood. She had never been as injured on a mission before, something like this could kill her. She couldn't even heal herself.

"Karin!" Sasuke yelled, a command spoken within the name.

"I'm on it!" She shouted back, running over to Sakura's body. "Bite down!" The pinkette followed the girl's orders, sinking her teeth into whatever was put into her mouth.

It was Karin's hand.

"Yikes." Inner remarked.

Despite the horror of being a cannibal, Sakura felt herself being healed. This technique was strange, it made her think of a diamond seal. Of course, it wasn't at that level but it made her wonder how Karin had such useful techniques. Sasuke had another reason to have her on his squad, that made her even more useful.

"He finds her useful..." Younger muttered, her voice was low and had a melancholy tone within it.

Sakura didn't have much time to dwell on it because, as soon as she was healed, Killer B had completely turned into the Hachibi. The octopus was raging about the water, giving Sasuke a difficult time. He was able to slice off a tentacle but that didn't do much.

Karin went to check on Suigetsu while the pinkette rejoined the fight. She still kept her distance, allowing Sasuke to do close combat. It was hard, fighting a Bijuu.

"Tailed-Beast Bomb!" Gyuki yelled, a purple sphere crashing onto the beach. Sakura teleported away from the blast, closing her eyes to avoid the sand that had been blown around the battlefield.

"Unseal!" Gyuki didn't seem to expect the next attack. Karin unleashed a chain that was sealed within her, causing him to falter. It was only one chain and it didn't restrain him. Sakura then used a wood dragon to wrap around the Bijuu, biting him in the neck. Black flames then covered the Hachibi, making him yell out in pain as her wood dragon was burnt to a crisp.

Sakura then formed to wood clones that attacked him from above, slamming their fists into his head before burning in the black flames. It pushed Gyuki down in the water, creating an eruption of waves. Once the wave cleared, Killer B's body was floating in the water, he was unconscious.

We should have done that before. Sakura thought. But it seems like the chain is a last resort for Karin. And Sasuke used the Amaterasu... I guess it's the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Take the body back to the hideout." Sakura told the Taka as Sasuke picked him up.

"Are you not coming too?" Karin asked, her eyebrows furrowed together and panting slightly. It seemed as though that attack she had used took a lot out of her.

"I need to go to Amegakure. I'll do the sealing from there." She informed the girl. The group then left, allowing the pinkette some time to think. Things were moving fast. She had just captured the Eight-Tails and only Naruto was remaining. She was going to destroy Konoha. Her goal was so close.

Sakura smiled. They were actually close to completing Project Tsuki No Me. So close to her perfect world.

Nothing was going to get in her way.

Killer B was a fake.

Sakura was annoyed.

Madara was disappointed.

Sasuke couldn't care less.

The Akatsuki were extracting the Hachibi but, after a certain amount of chakra was taken out of him, B was revealed to be a tentacle.

They didn't want to prematurely awaken the Ten-Tails so Kisame was sent to find the real jinchuriki.

Sakura almost pulled her hair out in frustration. It was already falling out in clumps due to stress - she did not want to get started on that - but she really needed to punch something. She had gotten excited about her goal being so close and now, another obsticle had been thrown in her path.

That Killer B guy was really annoying.

She shook the situation out of her mind the next day and stood side by side with the Six Paths of Pein and Konan.

It was time to go to Konoha.
