Hello once again FanFiction! Sephiroth 200 here with the conclusion of Operation Moon Crash! And in time for the story's 4 year anniversary! Holy heck, four long and awesome years! From what started out as a birthday gift to a fellow author, had blossomed into so much more! And I have you guys to thank for that. Your reviews, messages, and critiques when they come have helped me turn this into something special. Good grief I'm rambling again ^-^'. Onto the story, and once again thank you everyone!

Disclaimer: You know the drill guys, as per usual I do not own Sly Cooper in any way, shape or form. Sanzaru Games has that honor.

Aftermath

Carmelita kept her pistol trained on Sly, ready to fire if he so much as twitched. That night was a long one and she had no intentions of leaving empty handed.

"Carmelita, we all had a long night, why don't you put that pistol down and we ca-" Sly was cut off as Carmelita fired a warning shot above him missing his head by mere centimeters.

"Several counts of escaping arrest, larceny on an international level, breaking and entering, and now…" She narrowed her eyes at Neyla, who currently wasn't wearing her hood. "Harboring an international criminal among your ranks." she growled her grip tightening on her weapons grip, her breathing starting to become ragged as her anger continued to rise. "Am I missing anything else?" she continued, her teeth bared.

"Carmelita, if you'll just… put the gun down, I'm sure we can explain." Bentley said trying to diffuse the Inspector, but she kept her gun trained on them.

"Oh, I'd be happy to Bentley… if it weren't for the fact that SHE is in your ranks!" She shouted her finger ever closing around the trigger. She was so focused on them she didn't notice Guru walk up to her.

"Ahem. Carmelita is it?" he asked catching the foxes attention causing her to jump back.

"W-Who or what are you?" She asked retraining her weapon on the mystic.

"I am known around these parts as Guru. I am a mystic trained in the ways of the Aboriginal Dreamtime and protector of the sacred sites. I must ask you to lower your weapon, for I mean no harm." he said keeping his cool, but also had his Moonstone ready just in case.

"Listen, I don't want any trouble sir, but those people are international criminals, I can't allow them to roam free." Carmelita responded.

"And I cannot allow you to do that. For you see, one of them happens to be my student, and if it weren't for their efforts, that mask would've destroyed this land and every other land after." He countered. Carmelita just looked at the mystic, surprised. She had a high powered weapon aimed at him, and he was being as cool as a cucumber.

"T-Then what about her?" She demanded motioning to Neyla in Sly's arms. "She's just as bad as these three, and more!" She said glaring daggers at the tigresses unconscious form, but at the same time… confusion held her. Neyla had tried to kill her in Venice, but this one wore the same outfit as the one who saved her. 'Grr… it doesn't make sense. How could she be in two places at once?' she shook her head saving that topic for later.

"According to these men, she's already made up for her past sins. And if it weren't for her sacrifice, it would be you in her condition not her." he rebutted. He noticed Inspectors hold on her weapon was wavering. "In fact if it weren't for her I am certain none of us would be here having this conversation." he said hoping this would disarm the fox. Her eyes were already showing signs of doubt, regret, and internal conflict. Her hands started to shake just barely keeping the weapon steady.

"No." She said retraining her gun at the gang. "I'm sorry, but despite your argument, I still have a job to do. And I'm not leaving empty handed." She said a new determination in her voice. However as she was about to proceed, she started feeling… very tired. 'What the… what's going…' she felt ver vision slipping away into darkness. 'All of a sudden I'm feeling… tired…' As the inspector collapsed she heard the very faint sound of chanting. In moments, she had fallen asleep. Guru simply smiled to himself as he opened his eyes and lowered his staff.

"That was easier than I thought." Guru said as he walked back to the jaw dropped members of the Cooper gang. "What? Surely Murray has told you what I am capable of?" Guru said jokingly. After they let it sink in, the gang burst out into laughter. Then it ceased when they heard Neyla stir in Sly's arms.

"Ugh… what happened?" She asked once she could see clearly.

"Long story short, we won." Sly said helping Nayla to her feet, steadying her as he did so.

"Take it easy. Your body took a lot of damage in the battle, so try not to overexert yourself." Bentley said earning a nod from Neyla.

"What happened to Carmelita?" She asked noticing the passed out Inspector.

"Guru got to her before she got to us." Murray responded. She cracked a smile, then frowned.

"What happens now?" Neyla asked them. They looked at one another with a curious look on each of their faces, looking for an answer.

"Well… I suppose we can't just leave her." Sly said looking back at the unconscious inspector.

"Why don't we watch over her? At least till she wakes up?" Neyla offered. She knew Inspector Fox was going to attempt to arrest them when she awoke, but even she didn't deserve to be abandoned like that. "Besides, we're not in a rush are we gentlemen?" She asked emphasizing the word "Gentlemen" to them.

"Well… it would be the right thing for us as men. Fellas?" Sly said knowing the tigress had a good point. If they just ditched Carmelita while she was in a vulnerable state, they'd be no better than the average crime family. With a heavy sigh Bentley nodded his agreement.

"Alright. But the second she wakes up, we hightail it out of here." Bentley said. They all nodded in agreement and began to make preparations to make camp there for the night. Murray and Sly gathered firewood, while Bentley and Neyla tended to Carmelitas wounds. After everything was set up, they covered Carmelita in a small blanket and in doing so they made a very interesting discovery: her evidence camera. Holding it up Sly allowed himself a very mischievous grin.

"Guy's are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Sly asked earning grins and a confused look from the Guru. "She said she didn't want to leave empty handed, so why don't we help her out with that?" He said setting the device on top of a tall rock. And with it, the Gang decided to do some goofing around. Using the cameras delay feature, the gang took group pictures of themselves doing silly stuff.

The first one consisted of them just goofing off, Murray with two pencils in his nose, Neyla hanging upside down from a tree trying to take Slys hat which was backwards as he gave Murray bunny ears. Bentley gave the camera a smile in which he pulled his cheeks apart, while Guru just looked lost. The second one the gang did various flexes with their muscles with Guru letting off a smile.

Then his face went back to confusion as the next shot was Neyla kissing Sly causing him to go red, while Murray and Bentley did kissy faces in the background. In another shot Guru finally joined in by contributing a goofier version of Bentley's smile, while the turtle in question did the Egyptian, with Murray juggling, alongside a drunk looking Sly and Neyla. And these, are a few of the many photos the gang took that night. After they finished Sly set the device down by Carmelita with a calling card with the words: "Evidence"- Develop Immediately!

Hours later day finally broke, and the gang got a clear view of the Australian landscape. Free of the miners, the landscape was peaceful, radiant, and above all beautiful. The Guru let out a proud sigh as he took it all in.

"It's so beautiful…" Neyla said her breath taken by the majestic sight.

"And I have you four to thank for restoring this sacred place." Guru said turning back to face them. "I am eternally grateful Cooper Gang. As promised, I shall join your team on your ventures." He said bowing his head. The gang's faces lit up and were about to cheer, however the moment was broken when they heard Inspector Fox begin to stir.

"Sounds like Carmelitas waking up! Let's get out of here!" Bentley said earning an earnest nod from the rest of the gang. Unfortunately for Carmelita, by the time she was fully conscious, the gang would already be on a plane back to Paris, and out of her clutches once again.

And with that I can finally bring Operation Moon Crash and the entire Outback Operation to a close. Once again I cannot thank you guys enough for the past four years of support. It's been a wild ride, and I'm glad I have you all to join me for it. That said, I've considered starting a community for all the Slyla fics out there since this one's been doing so well. What are your guys thoughts? ACK! I'm rambling again! If you enjoyed it, please leave a review, and until next time this is Sephiroth 200 signing off!
