"Draco Malfoy!" Luna said, in that brightly irate tone that she'd mastered. "You've got to tell her!"
"I will!" Draco snapped back, "Just not now."
"She's going to find out, and then she's going to hate you for it." Luna said, her serene mask over her face again.
"But she's happy right now," Draco said, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Hate to ruin it."
"Just. Tell. Her." Luna said, rehashing the same argument that they'd had every single time they'd got together.
Draco let out a long sigh, then brightened, "Found a Hufflepuff hiding in Gryffindor."
"Promising, that." Luna said, "There's a Gryffindor in Ravenclaw,"
Draco frowned at that, "No Gryffindors!"
Luna smiled serenely, "I know. I'll work on him."
"Five gives ten he's Slytherin by the time you're through." Draco responded, smiling at her.
"Oh, Draco, you say the sweetest things." Luna said, in that airy voice that somehow sounded more sincere than Pansy ever did. Might have had to do with Pansy constantly speaking in codes, though.
"How exactly do you want us to handle the Hufflepuffs?" Draco inquired.
"Why with hard work, of course!" Luna smiled, and Draco chuckled.
Draco asked, "You really think we can pull this off?"
Luna stomped her dainty foot, "We've got to. There is no try."
Draco's face looked solemn as he nodded agreement. Looking away from her, he said, "We've got time."
"Time runs like water, it's hard to hold and harder still to stop. Squeeze it and you'll find ambrosia." Luna said.
"I'll see what I can do." Draco said, turning to leave - the wind sprites tossling his hair as they loved to do. And people wondered why he wore it slicked back!
