Earth: Dante's Neighborhood
Time: 6:00 AM
The sun rose over the quiet neighborhood. It's weak and subtle rays woke any living creature that was touched by it. Birds had begun to sing, dogs started to bark, and families fought over who would get to use the bathroom first.
"Hwah!"
A familiar girl clothed in green seemingly just popped into existence. "D-Did it work?" The girl found herself in a tree. To be more specific, she was standing on the tree branches. "W-Wow! I made it! I actually made it! I didn't screw up a command this time!"
Xierra started to jump up and down on the tree branch out of sheer happiness. Fortunately, because of how tiny she was, the tree branch wouldn't break because of her weight.
Xierra peered out from behind the tree leaves. Upon doing so, her jaw had dropped instantly. The world before her looked so much different and unique than the world she had come from. "It's… so pretty…"
Xierra was mesmerized by… well, everything! From the ground to the sky, the clouds to the trees, even the housing had its charm in Xierra's mind. "… Wait, wait! I'm getting distracted!" The fairy snapped out of her trance. "I have to find him!"
Xierra surveyed the neighborhood for any traces of this person she was looking for. The fairy noticed humans walking around, but none of them seemed to have matched the description of her target.
"I don't think I'm going to find him by scoping out this place from a tree." Xierra realized. "I should have a look around!"
As the fairy girl was about ready to take off, she noticed the tree leaves beside her rustling quite aggressively. The girl peered through the leaves and made eye contact with bushy-tailed creature that she had never seen before. Nevertheless-
"EEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

*Vrrrrrr*
…
*Vrrrrrr*
A phone could be heard buzzing in Dante's room. The very phone lied on the floor beside Dante's bed, the person in question was completely knocked out and show no signs of waking up… at first.
The dark-skinned boy began to stir awake, albeit very slowly. He showed signs of wanting to go back to sleep, but because his body was so used to waking up at this time, he couldn't.
The phone had continued to buzz. For whatever reason, it had sounded much louder than it was before to Dante. The boy, without looking, fished for his phone on the floor and pulled it to look at the screen. Dante had thought it was his alarm at first, but it turns out it was a phone call.
"… Tch." Dante looked at the caller ID and sucked his teeth. He tapped the green icon on the screen and put the phone up to his ear. "What the fuck do you want?"
"*Wakey wakey, Dan-a-roey~" A male voice could be heard from the other line. "*You got a big day of nothing ahead of you. Better rise and shine~!*"
"Why the Hell do you sound gayer in the morning than you do during the day…?" Dante sounded slightly annoyed. "...On second thought, I don't even want to know."
"*Aww, are you sure you don't wanna know? I could show you the exact process, step by-*"
"Uncomfortable." Dante blurted out.
"*Alright, alright, I'll stop.*" The person on the other line laughed. "*In all seriousness though, get up. Just cause you're suspended doesn't mean you get to sleep in.*"
"So you've heard…"
"*You would best believe I would've heard about you breaking a guy's jaw. That entire fight you had with Edboy was making its way through people's snaps*"
"Of course it was…" Dante placed his free hand over his eyes and sighed heavily. "Those shitheads are all like paparazzi, the snap and snap and snap, but the moment some authority-like figure shows up, they scatter like the god-damn rats they are."
"*Okay Gramps, are you ready to take your meds yet?*"
"Fuck you," Dante said bluntly. "Why are you still talking to me? Go to school already."
"*Slow your roll, tiger. I just wanted to check up on you, that's all. I'm going to be coming by after work, so you better not be sleeping when I get there.*"
"Mhm, yeah. I'll be sure to do exactly as you say." Dante was preparing to hang up.
"*You better. I've got keys to your house and since you'll be sleeping-*"
"Goodbye, Aldan." Dante tapped the red icon on the screen and threw his phone to the side. "Freaking weirdo…"
Dante looked at his alarm clock, which read '6:36'. It was at that point he debated whether he should really get up, or continue to sleep in for another couple of hours.
"… I'll be up by noon." Dante closed his eyes and turned onto his side. "I've got a week of nothing ahead of me, so why bother getting out of bed…?"

"Haaaahhhh…"
Xierra could be seen lying on the grass of someone's lawn with her eyes closed. Sweat was dripping down the girl as the fairy girl took a deep breath.
"First that bushy-tailed abomination, then those insanely strong currents of wind… Now I've strayed away from my spawn point…" Xierra groaned. "Everything was going so well too…"
The tiny girl opened her bright green eyes and stared at the clouds that were drifting across the sky. Even the clouds were different than the ones back where she came from.
"Mister Notch…"
[Several hours ago…]
Craftia: Aether Dimension
Time: 0230
"T-The Sacred Heroes…?" Xierra repeated Notch's previous words. "I…HUH?!"
"As stated in the tale you told, the four heroes of Craftia were the only ones able to put a stop to Herobrine's reign. I would have not been able to seal the cretin had it not been for their deeds." Notch closed his eyes. "I'm afraid that this method of dealing with Herobrine is the only way, despite how far humanity has progressed during the last several centuries."
"B-But Mister Notch! I don't think you understand what you're asking!" Xierra seemed slightly nervous. "The tale of the four heroes spans across several centuries! The heroes were just ordinary humans just like everyone else in Craftia! There's no possible way that they could be alive, and even if they were by some miracle, they vanished from the face of the world after Herobrine was defeated!"
"I am well aware of this fact, Xierra." Notch sighed. "While I am asking you and your sisters to locate the four heroes, I'm not asking you to locate the exact same ones from the tales of old."
"You're not…?"
"No." Notch opened his eyes and looked up at Xierra. "I need you to locate their descendants."
"D-Descendants?"
"Although the circumstances are quite troublesome, the blood of the four heroes still runs through the bodies of a select few to this very day," Notch said. "Their blood was never lost to the ages, it was just... hidden away."
"I don't understand... If the heroes had children, wouldn't the world had found out by now?" Xierra asked. "Even if they vanished from the public eye, it would be impossible to keep something so big under wraps for centuries!"
"That is true. If the heroes had children here, then it wouldn't take for the people of the world to notice." Notch looked up at one of his paintings. "... Which is why they didn't have children here."
"...Eh? What do you-" Xierra didn't quite get it at first, but then a lightbulb went off in her head. "Ohhhh! I get it! They did continue their bloodline, but it just wasn't here in Craftia! It was in another world!"
"I am glad that you caught on quickly, Xierra." Notch smiled warmly at the girl. "3/4 of the heroes we seek can be found in a world unlike this one. The last one can be found here in Craftia, but they are... far."
"A world unlike our own?" Xierra wondered what this other world would be like.
"You and your sisters must travel to this other world and find the three descendants of the heroes. I ask that only three of you travel to this world, while the fourth stays and searches for the fourth hero located here in Craftia." Notch told Xierra. "From there, you are to bring the heroes to Craftia, and only after regrouping with one another should you begin your search for the armor sets of the four sacred heroes."
"The armor sets?" Xierra repeated. "The four sacred heroes left behind their armor?"
"Before they disappeared, the heroes' entrusted me with their armor, knowing full well that it would be needed again one day," Notch recalled. "With the help of your grandparents, I was able to lock away the armor sets in vaults found in the four corners of the world. The vaults can only be opened by those who share the blood of the four heroes."
"That's so cool...!" Xierra's sparkling eyes showed off a bit of her childish side.
"Now, Xierra. I shall tell you this once again." Notch once again gazed into the fairy's eyes. "Your job is to find and unite the descendants of the four heroes, retrieve the armor sets located in the four corners of the world, and put a stop to Herobrine before he is able to break the seals... Can I trust you and your sisters to handle such an important task?"

Earth: Dante's Neighborhood
Time: 11:40 AM
"… I can't give up!" A newfound determination surged through Xierra's veins. "I might not be having the best of luck right now, but I'll find him eventually! I have to!"
Xierra got up off the ground and readied herself to take flight again. As the girl levitated off the ground, the heavy wind currents that had blown her away earlier in the morning returned. "NOT AGAIN!"
The wind trapped the tiny fairy in a seemingly inescapable current. Xierra tried her hardest to fight back against the heavy currents, but she was no match against it's might. The girl tried to get a better look at her surroundings, thinking that she might find something that would help her.
"Oh, no no no no!"
Instead, she started to panic when she saw that she was about to crash into the wall of some house. Xierra held her hands out in front of her and started to chant an incantation.
"Command enter! Gamemode spectator!"
As Xierra shouted these words, her body started to slowly become transparent. Fortunately, the girl was able to say the command fast enough and she ended up passing through the wall in a nick of time.
"Phew! That was a close-ACK!"
The command Xierra had performed had somehow undone itself the moment she passed through the wall. Because Xierra was still flying and was unaware the command had lost its effect, she ended up diving headfirst into a wall in the house.
"Eh heh heh…" Xierra chuckled as she spun around in a dazed manner. "I see nether stars… heh heh…"
The girl was unable to get her bearings straight and ended up plummeting into a dark and narrow container, where she would slowly lose consciousness.
Earth: Auburn Residence
Time: 12:10 PM
Dante shuffled out of his room, wearing only a t-shirt and sweatpants. The boy still looked tired as seen from the bags under his eyes, but his growling stomach wouldn't allow him to sleep in for any longer.
Dante walked into his living room, which was connected to his kitchen and grabbed the TV remote. "I doubt there's going to be anything good on." The boy powered on the television and threw the remote onto the couch. "There's never anything good on anymore…"
Dante walked over to the kitchen part of the room and grabbed a plastic bowl from the dish rack. Dante would then grab an already opened box of cereal and pour it into the bowl whilst stifling a sneeze.
After Dante poured what he thought was enough, he put the box down and went to the fridge. The boy opened the refrigerator and to his dismay, there was no milk.
"… You have to be fucking kidding me." Dante now appeared to be very annoyed. "That fucker can buy several boxes of cereal, but he couldn't even go and get a single carton of milk?"
Dante slammed the refrigerator shut and looked at his bowl of cereal. As much as he wanted to 'do it for the meme' and throw the bowl at the wall, he decided against it, solely for the reason that he would have to clean up that mess later.
After grabbing a spoon, Dante took his bowl of dry cereal and plopped down onto the couch. "What the Hell even is this…?" Dante realized what was playing on TV and grabbed the remote to change the channel. "… Better, but still shit."
The boy watched TV while eating his cereal, acting as if it were just a regular Saturday morning despite it being a Friday. Every now and then, Dante would make remarks about what he was watching, and complain about how the shows that played when he was younger were a lot better.
"Seriously, it's like the network is just milking this series for views at this point…" Dante was starting to lose interesting in television. "Why am I even watching this crap? This bowl of cereal has more entertainment value then-"
Dante stopped himself mid-sentence and stared at his cereal, but more specifically, his spoon that had cereal on it. There was something… green in it.
Dante stared at this green object for a moment, wondering what it possibly was. The boy squinted and inched closer to his spoon, trying to get a better look at the object… until it blinked.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
Dante ended up doing what he said he wouldn't do and chucked the bowl of cereal at the wall, along with the spoon Xierra was on. Xierra was, fortunately, able to abandon ship before she had another fateful encounter with the wall.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT FUCKING THING?!" Dante was sitting on the head of the sofa, watching the small fairy fly in circles. "WHY DOES IT LOOK FUCKING HUMAN?! WHAT THE FUCK?!"
"This is bad! This is really bad!" Xierra appeared to be eternally panicking. "I've been found out! I have to go, I have to go, I have to-"
Xierra continued to fly in circles, trying to think of a way to get out of this. Dante continued to watch, not knowing what to do himself. The boy looked off to the side and saw a broom leaning against the wall. "Whatever it is… I'm killing it!" Dante said with determination in his voice.
Dante slowly inched his way off the couch and towards the broom, all while keeping his eyes on Xierra. Meanwhile, the tiny girl was still having a crisis of her own.
"T-That's right! Commands! I forgot about commands!" A bulb went off in her head. Xierra held out her hands and started to mumble to herself. "What was the command for invisibility? Gah! This isn't the time to be forgetting your stuff, Xierra!"
The girl turned her head towards Dante to see what he was doing, but instead of panicking even further when she saw that he had a "weapon", she just… stopped.
"He's… He's glowing…" Xierra stared at the boy in awe. "He has… a glowing outline…"
While nothing was out of the ordinary in Dante's eyes, it was quite the opposite for Xierra. Dante's entire body had this glowing white effect to it. And although there wasn't anything special about the broom, there was something about the way Dante was holding it that was grabbing at Xierra even more.
"No way… NO FREAKING WAY!" Xierra went from confused and distressed to a state of sheer happiness. "It's him! It's really him!"
"What is it doing…?" Dante asked. "Why is just floating there? What kind of insect-AHH!"
Dante wasn't prepared for Xierra to fly directly towards him. The boy swung the broom around wildly, trying to either keep the fairy at a distance or hit her.
"Wait! Just wait!" Xierra tried her best to get closer to Dante, but the risk of getting hit was too high. "Y-You must listen! I have urgent-eek!"
Dante had almost hit Xierra but had missed by just an inch. The fairy was starting to get frustrated by the boy's actions but thought it was somewhat understandable for him to act this way.
It was then where Xierra had a stroke of brilliance, and questioned why she didn't think of it sooner. The tiny fairy held her hands out in front of her once more and muttered something under her breath. Several seconds later Xierra, who was as small and tiny as an insect, instantly grew to the size of a human.
"STOOOP!" Xierra shouted as loud as she could.
The room was almost completely silent at that moment, the only source of sound had come from the television. Both Dante and Xierra locked eyes, one more surprised than the other.
"…" Dante dropped the broom. "Wha-"
Fast-forwarding a few minutes, Dante could be seen sweeping up the cereal he threw at the wall. "What's happening right now?" Many questions were running through the boy's head. "What lead to me sweeping up corn flakes off the floor? I don't even like corn flakes…"
Dante would then turn his head. He would then see the strange fairy girl, Xierra, sitting comfortably on his sofa. Now that she was human size, it was easy to tell that she was wearing a green dress that reminded Dante of a certain fairy from a certain family movie.
She seemed completely mesmerized by what was on the television, as a matter of fact, she was completely mesmerized by the television itself!
"No… That's not what I should be asking right now." Dante furrowed his brow. "I should be wondering who the Hell this girl even is, what the hell this girl even is, and why is she in my house?!"
Xierra was able to pull her attention off of the television for a moment and looked in Dante's direction after noticing he was looking at him. Dante perked up for a second and quickly went back to sweeping.
Dante swept the cereal into a dustpan and emptied it into the garbage. "That takes care of one problem." Dante sighed which got Xierra's attention. "Now we move onto the next."
The boy turned to the girl and made eye contact. He wore a relatively dark expression on his face as he slowly walked over to her, with the broom still in hand. All Xierra could do was sweat and watch Dante approach her.
"So… Just who and what exactly are you?" Dante stood over Xierra, thinking that doing this would up his intimidation factor.
It did not.
"My name is Xierra!" Xierra introduced herself with glee. "And I'm a fairy!"
"… I would normally tell you that you're full of shit before proceeding to hit you over the head with this broom, but…" Dante thought back to what transpired literally minutes ago. "Nevermind. A fairy? Don't you little fuckers only exist in fairy tales?"
"Hey! That's a really mean thing to say!" Xierra pouted while Dante put on a, 'I don't care' face. "And I don't know about this place, but fairies are very much real where I come from! We just like to keep ourselves hidden from the public eye!"
"And where's that Navi? The Lost Woods?"
"The Lost Woods? What's-" Xierra realized what he had said. "Hey! I said that my name was Xierra!"
"That's what I said: Navi."
"You did again!" Xierra pointed at Dante. "My name is Xierra! X-I-E-R-R-A! That's how you say and spell-bah!"
"Shut up…" Dante bonked the fairy over the head with the broom. "...By the way, how'd you end up in my bowl cereal anyway?"
"Bowl of… cereal…?" Xierra tilted her head.
"This child doesn't know what cereal is? Who raised this girl…?" Dante looked somewhat but not too surprised. "How. Did. You. End. Up. In. My. Food?"
"Oh! Well, it all started when I spawned here in search of-AAH!" The fairy girl looked as if she realized something else. "I'm forgetting about my mission! I don't have the time to answer-bleh!"
"You can worry about your mission later." Dante, once again, bonked Xierra over the head with the broom. "You're dealing with me right now. So hurry up and answer-
"Your name is Dante, right?"
Dante stared at the fairy girl with a blank look on his face. He blinked twice before saying anything. "… How do you know my name?" Dante was readying the broom. "Do fairies have some clairvoyance type shit in their kit, or are you just a stalker?"
"Um… Probably? I don't understand what that word means after all, so…" Xierra shrugged and shook her head. "But the reason why I know your name is because someone told me to look for you!"
"They did, huh…?" Dante sighed. "Is there any chance that I supposedly know this person? Does their name start with an A? Depending on your answer, I'm going to hit you again and throw you out of my house."
"N-No! This is someone you don't know… Well, maybe you know them? But their name doesn't start with an A!" Xierra spoke quickly in order to prevent another attack from the broom. "There's a possibility you might know this world's version of them, but-"
"Stop for a second." Dante interrupted the fairy and played back what she had just said in his head. "What do you mean, "this world's version?"
"… Dante, our world needs your help." The cheerfulness and enthusiasm in Xierra's voice disappeared. "A powerful being who we once imprisoned long ago has broken free from the chains that confine him and has sought out to bring ruin to the world I inhabit."
"What the fuck is she going on about…?" Dante seemed somewhat weirded out, but didn't show it in his face.
"The only way we stand a chance against this being is with the help of the four heroes who sealed him long ago." Xierra looked into Dante's eyes. "Dante Phlogiston! You are the descendant of one of the four heroes of our world, which means you are one of the only ones who can save Craftia from Herobrine's reign! Will you please help us in our desperate time of need?"
The room had once again fallen silent, the only source of noise had come from the television, but that was on a relatively low volume.
*SMAAAAASSH*
"YEOW!" Xierra placed her hands on her head and looked up at Dante, tears were forming in her eyes. "Why did you do that?! That one really hurt!"
"Did you even hear the words that came out of your mouth?" Dante gripped the broom tightly. "Not going to lie, you were drawing me in at the "Hero" part, but Phlogiston isn't even my last name and Herobrine? Craftia? Now I know you're just full of shit."
"But I'm telling the truth! Craftia is in danger because Herobrine broke free from his prison! He can only be stopped by the four heroes!" Xierra repeated herself. "Mister Notch told to find you because you're Craftia's only hope!"
Dante was blocking out everything that Xierra was saying since he knew she was just repeating herself. "Fucking Craftia… Fucking Minecraft..." Dante placed his fingers against his temple. "I must still be dreaming… yeah, that's it. This is all just a wild dream. There's no way that some fairy girl who came from the game Minecraft is here telling me that I'm some hero's descendant, there's no possible way…!"
"*Sniff*"
"Hm?"
Dante turned back to Xierra and tears running down her face. The girl still had her hands on her head, but she was now huddled up on the couch. Dante continued to look at her and started to feel something well up in his small heart.
"This is supposed to be a dream, but… I'm starting to feel bad…" Dante turned away and held the broom he had been hitting Xierra with. "… A hero…"
After thinking about it some more, Dante came to a decision. "Proof."
"H-Huh?" Xierra stopped sniffling and looked at Dante through her blurry eyes.
Dante walked towards the wall that he got the broom from. "Aside from you being a fairy, I want you to show me some proof." Dante leaned the broom back against the wall. "If you can do that… then I'll help save your world… or whatever."
Xierra blinked once and then twice. Eventually, a big bright smile appeared on her face and the tears seemingly vanished. "Thank you." Xierra practically whispered.
"Don't thank me yet, I've yet to see that proof yet." Dante crossed his arms and tapped his foot.
"Instead of producing something on the spot, I think it would be better for me to bring you to the place myself…" Xierra got up off the couch and approached Dante. "Would you please hold out your hand? Your palm facing me?"
"Like this?"
"Mhm! That's right!"
Xierra would then press her hand against his hand. It was then Dante realized that even as at the size of a regular human, Xierra was still the size of a little girl. Her hand felt so small and frail in comparison to his own.
"Are you ready?" Xierra asked Dante. "Just be aware that your appearance might change juuust a bit."
"If this is Minecraft then I'm probably going to turn into some blocky version of myself…oh well, I guess that can't be helped, this dream has already taken a weird turn." Dante shrugged. "Yeah, sure. Whenever you're ready."
"Okay… Okay!" Xierra shook her head and closed her eyes. "Don't screw this up, don't screw this up!"
Xierra took a deep breath. "Command enter!" Xierra shouted. "execute as a in Craftia:overworld run to 251 34 171!"
Before Dante could even comment on what the fairy was doing, the two had disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Hello, world! My name is Acallaris, and thank you for reading the second chapter of Craftia Legends: Rebirth!
I initially said in the first chapter that this second chapter would be shorter than the first, but I ended up being completely wrong! This chapter is currently longer than the first chapter by a hundred or so words. I was thinking it was going to be 2,000 words as a minimum and a little over 3,000 words maximum, but nope, I was wrong!
So from now on, unless I've prewritten the chapter in advance (which will really only be on rare occasions), I'm going to stop limiting myself on how long I'm going to make these chapters. I've done this in the past and it has made things unnecessarily harder.
The next chapter will be the start of Dante and Xierra's adventures in Craftia! I hope you'll be on the lookout for when the next chapter comes out!
But, that's it for now! Reviews, follows, and favorites aren't necessary but are greatly appreciated and keep me motivated to write more! Continue to be yourself and have a great day/night! Until next time!
