"…y"

"…"

"H.."

"…"

"Hey! We're here! Open your eyes!"

Dante had started to come to, albeit a little slowly. He had felt incredibly sluggish, the reason for this clearly being unknown to him.

The boy made an attempt at opening his eyes, but it had felt like someone had glued them shut and he was unable to open them. And so, Dante came to only one possible conclusion as to why he was feeling the way he was feeling.

"God must want me to go back to sleep." Was his initial thought. "If this what the Lord wants, then I shall obey without question…"

With this established, Dante turned onto his side with a content smile on his face. The boy would soon begin to drift off into the realm of dreams, wondering what could possibly be awaiting him on the other side.

Or so he thought.

"DON'T IGNORE ME AND TURN ONTO YOUR SIDE!" A familiar voice tore him away from the gateway to his dreams. "THAT'S SO MEAN!"

"Is that… the fairy?" Dante wondered. "She's still here? How is that even possible?"

Dante thought about it some more before coming to another conclusion. "Of course, that's probably the reason why I can't go back to sleep." Dante thought. "If that fairy is still around, that must mean I'm still dreaming…"

The boy felt satisfied with the conclusion he came to and decided to go with it. Meanwhile, Xierra had soon started to shake Dante as an attempt to get him up. "Ugh, how did you even fall asleep? That teleportation process wasn't supposed to make you unconscious… I think…"

Xierra thought about it for a moment and after coming to a realization, she buried her face into her hands. "I screwed up another command…!" Xierra cried out. "No wonder I was sleeping too when we arrived! I'm such a failure!"

"She's loud… a little too loud." Dante was slightly annoyed. "Could you take your complaining down a notch? You're giving me a headache…"

"Oh, I'm sor-" Xierra was about to bow her head and apologize before her eyes widened and she looked at Dante. "HEY! WAIT A MINUTE!"

"And there you go again…"

Dante then opened his eyes, it was almost as if the glue that bonded his eyelids together had come undone. "I guess it was time for me to get up anyway…"

Dante sat up straight and rubbed his eyes, trying to get the crust out. He would then blink twice and turn to Xierra, who stared at him in silence with a big smile on her face.

"… Why are you looking at me like that?" Dante raised an eyebrow. "It's creepy."

"What do you think?" Xierra asked.

"What do I think of what?"

"Of everything of course!"

"… What in sam hell are you talking about?"

"You wanted proof right? Proof that everything I told you about Craftia was real and not made up?" Xierra extended her arms out. "Take a look around you!"

"What? You're still going on about-"

It was then when Dante took in his surroundings and processed everything that was around him. The boy had found himself and Xierra somewhere that most certainly wasn't his house.

The two were outside for starters and were standing on a cliff. From there, Dante was able to get a good view of the grassy plains that lied before. It looked as if these plains could go on forever

In the plains, there were a few ponds and lakes scattered across the landscape as well as several caves. There was even a mountain a bit further off into the distance that was blanketed in snow.

But the one thing that had grabbed at Dante's attention the most? Everything that he had laid his eyes upon in the last several seconds?

They were blocks.

The ground was made of blocks, the mountain was made completely out of blocks, even the sun had a blocky shape! While there were a few exceptions to this, mostly everything was in the shape of a block.

"Welcome to Craftia, Hero!" Xierra said cheerfully.

"… Holy shit." Dante was barely able to get his words out. The entire world that he had found himself in left him in a state of shock. "I'm actually in Minecraft… this is seriously one hell of a dream!"

"So, you have to believe me now!" Xierra said. "After seeing this world with your own two eyes, you have to believe me…!"

"With my own two eyes? More like my one eye and quarter of my other." Dante rubbed his right eye. "My right eye is swollen right now, so I can't-"

"Oh, you're eye isn't swollen… at least, not anymore." Xierra walked around Dante in circles. "You just can't see out of your eye because your hair is blocking it!"

Dante looked off into the distance and thought about what Xierra had said. He then turned to the girl with a blank look on his face and simply said: "What?"

"Your hair is blocking your eye?" Xierra tilted her head and repeated. "Is there something wrong with what I said?"

Dante blinked and placed his hand on his right eye again. He wasn't sure why he didn't notice it before, but there was indeed something that felt like hair obstructing his vision. "What the…?" Dante muttered. "Did somehow ended up with a wig on my head? This can't be my hair…"

Dante would then grip the hair on the top of his head and pull upwards. "Ow!" Instead of pulling a wig off his head, he instead just ended up pulling on his actual hair. "This is a wig, right? This has to be a wig!"

The boy would then slowly turned to Xierra, who was covering her mouth as if she were trying to suppress a laugh. The fairy noticed Dante's looks and jumped a bit when she saw dark of an expression he wore on his face. "What. Did. You. Do?" Dante asked.

"I-I didn't do anything!" Xierra raised her hands. "I told before I teleported you here that you would undergo a bit of an appearance change! Don't you remember?"

The boy continued to stare at the girl for several more seconds before Xierra's past words echoed in his head. "Oh… yeah, you did say something like that…" Dante's dark expression changed back to his usual blank one. "But saying that it would be a "bit" of an appearance change might have been an understatement…"

"Y-Yeah, I realized…" Xierra let out a sigh of relief. "If we're able to find some water, you should definitely be able to get a better look at yourself! I think you'll be really surprised by what you look like since it's so much different than the body you're used to!"

"Wow, I've never been more excited to look at my reflection…" There was sarcasm in Dante's voice, but Xierra didn't seem to notice. "… Wait just a second."

Dante placed one hand on his face and looked at the other. For a full minute, the boy would stare at his hand while Xierra watched on, growing more confused as the seconds passed by. "Um… Is there something wrong?"

Dante would then turn to Xierra. "Hey… Navi, why-"

"THAT'S NOT MY NAME!"

"-aren't I blocky?" Dante finished.

"Huh?" Xierra didn't seem to understand. "What do you mean?"

"This entire world is made out of blocks… so how come I'm not a block myself?" Dante explained. "Shouldn't my entire body be some blocky mess? Shouldn't your entire body be some blocky mess...?"

Xierra looked weirded out by the question Dante was asking her and tried her best to find a response that would soothe his concern. "Um… Well, a lot of the living things in Craftia are made out of some blocky shape, yes." Xierra began. "But human-like beings like us don't have a blocky shape. It's always been that way."

"I'm sorry what?" Dante was taken aback by her response. "That can't be right… even the players are made out of blocks, so why in the world are-"

Dante would then facepalm as he realized something. "I keep forgetting that I'm in a dream…" Dante sighed. "If it's a dream, then I shouldn't question the reality of the situation."

"Was that explanation good enough…?" Xierra asked the seemingly distressed boy. "If not then-"

"No it's fine, I think I get it…" Dante shoved his hands into his pocket. "I was just thinking a little too much into it, that's all…"

"Oh… Um… okay, if you say so…" Xierra wished she knew what was going on in his head, but at the same time, she was content with not knowing.

Dante stared off into the distance taking in everything that the world was currently presented to him. Knowing that what was before him wasn't even close to what the rest of the world had to offer made Dante smile for a moment.

"… Yeah, this will do." Dante turned to Xierra. "This more than enough for me to believe in your tale."

Even though Xierra knew from the start that Dante would believe in her words, she still felt some happiness hearing those words come out of his mouth. "I'm glad!"

"So, explain to me what we have to do," Dante asked. "What's our goal at the moment?"

"Our next goal is to reunite with my sisters, who are also searching for the descendants of the four heroes!" Xierra told Dante. "Though, it might be a while before we're able to group up. Traveling between Craftia and your world is a long process, not to mention that they'll be in separate locations when they return to Craftia with the other descendants!"

"Oh great, there's more of you…" Dante had already found Xierra slightly annoying, but the thought of there being others like her gave him a headache. "Wait, the other descendants are from my world?"

"At least two of them, yes!" Xierra shook her head. "The other one is located here in Craftia, so my oldest sister is already out looking for them! Although, I highly doubt that she's even located them yet. Mister Notch did say that their location was quite far after all…"

"Notch, the creator of Minecraft…" The name rang bells in Dante's head. "He's the guy who sent Xierra to look for me… Didn't she mention something about my world's version of him?"

"So while we wait for my sisters to return, this would be a great time to acquaint you with the ways of our world!" Xierra said. "As you probably guessed, things in Craftia work a lot differently than they do in back in your world."

"Don't need to tell me that twice, I realized that from the moment I first looked over that horizon."

Dante would then turn around and see a forest of trees standing behind him and Xierra. As expected, the trees and their leaves were made out of blocks as well. "How did it take me this long to notice the forest behind us…?" Dante wondered.

The boy didn't know why, but something was drawing him into that forest. He felt as if there was something waiting for him in there. Dante would then turn to Xierra. "If we're not going anywhere, do you think we could-"

Dante blinked rubbed his eyes and then blinked once again. Xierra was no longer standing in the same spot she was seconds ago, she had seemingly disappeared without a trace. "… Where-"

"Right here!"

"GAH!"

Dante turned his more to left and noticed a tiny girl sitting comfortably on his shoulder, kicking her legs. Xierra had shrunk back down to her original size while Dante was looking. "Is there something wrong~?" Xierra sneered.

"When did you-… Why did you-…" Dante wanted to complain, but realized that it would ultimately be pointless to argue over something as trivial as Xierra shrinking back into a fairy."... Forget it…"

"Then onwards, Mister Hero! The day is still young after all!" Xierra pointed to the forest. "There's a lot you can learn in just a few hours if you're determined enough!"

"Mister Hero?" Dante found it strange that Xierra was calling him that instead of Dante, but he decided to not think much of it. "Eh, whatever… It's been a while though, Minecraft. I hope that I'm not too rusty."

With that Dante, with Xierra on his shoulder, made his way towards the forest. What lies in wait for them? We will soon find out…

Hello, world! My name is Acallaris, and thank you for reading the third chapter of Craftia Legends: Rebirth!

Since the first two chapters were pretty lengthy, I thought I would give myself a little bit of a break and make this chapter shorter. I'm going to try my best to not burn myself out by writing short, and hopefully eventful chapters. I've burnt myself out in the past multiple times by writing long and somewhat boring chapters for my other stories, so doing it this way will hopefully help raise my productivity.

Speaking of writing chapters, I eventually plan on writing chapters for other stories in the near future. When that happens, this story may only get updates maybe once or twice a week. I'll be sure to let you readers know when this is going occur and give you an update schedule, but for now, it's this story, and this story only!

But I believe that's it for now! As always, reviews, follows, and favorites aren't necessary but are greatly appreciated and keep me motivated to write more! Continue to be yourself and have a great day/night! Until next time!
