A dwarf and a man in red leather armor come into the Prancing Pony. The man has a scowl on his face while the dwarf looks around the bar happily. The two find seats near a window and settle down with their tankards.

"You're not going to make any friends if you keep looking at everyone like that," Thorth says.

"I have a hard time seeing people care free when so many must work so hard in my home lands," Mika says.

"You can't blame them for being born in an easier place to live."

"I wonder if they understand the dangers of Forochel."

"I doubt it," Thorth says. "Many probably couldn't imagine something like the mammoths that wander the frozen lands. I heard someone panicking outside because of a single giant. I can only imagine what they would say to a pack of fur covered monsters."

"They are not monsters only beasts. If tamed by the right people they are extremely useful pack animals. They also provide a great deal of warm clothing and meat to any hunter that can slay them."

"Aye, that is all true. They are also dangerous and destructive creatures that can leave a lot of dead bodies in their wake."

"That's why we must keep them from our enemy's control," Mika says.

"Do the evil peoples often try to control them?"

"It happens from time to time. The Gauradan have tried recently. He was followed by one of the man from Angmar trying the same. I did not expect two attempts to ensorcel the mammoths so near to one another. I fear the Angmarium and Gauradan are working together."

"I think it was a coincidence," Thorth says. "From what I have heard the Gauradan have no interest in working with anyone."

"I pray you are right. Either group alone is a powerful threat, both together would crush my people."

"That is why my people are trying to create a stronghold against the Dourhand that have claimed an old mine near your people. The last thing you need is another enemy finding a foothold."

"Dourhand or Longbeard," Mika says "which you are means nothing to my people. We wish only to have people to trade for the supplies we need."

"I understand that, but the Dourhand work with Angmar. They will never be allies of your people."

"People in our lands supplying the Angmarium only makes me more nervous."

"Hopefully we can drive them out before long and put the picks we recieved to good use," Thorth says.

"Hope will not be enough to reclaim your mine."

"That is true, but the key I made and the adventurers that used it to slay the Dourhand leader should be a good first step."

"You were able to find and kill their leader that easily?" Mika asks.

"There is only one place that could have had a locked door in the mines according to the map I found. It was just a matter of slaying the Dourhand until we found a key to use."

"Even so cutting down their leader is no small task."

"I was happy to see Arnmorth laid low," Thorth says. "He was the greediest Dourhand since Skorgrim, he thought of nothing but gold and how to keep it. The world is better with him gone."

"I hope your people will retake the mine soon. The Lossoth could use any new trading partners we can get. It will also be nice to have allies on the tundra instead of just another threat to battle."
