It was another normal day at the DWMA in Marie's class. Marie was reading a book as the class did as they pleased because Marie lost her lesson planner and of course could not remember what they were supposed to be doing that day and nobody reminded her.
Marie was reading the classic Romeo & Juliet but could hardly focus on the story. She was daydreaming about her own romance with her boyfriend Stein. They have been dating for three years now and Marie has been loving every second. Marie sighed and put the book down giving up on focusing on the story when someone barged into the classroom. It was Stein.
He walked in rolling a small table that was covering something. Most likely his newest dissection victim. He placed it right in front of Marie in the middle of the room and stood there smiling.
"Um Stein. What are you doing? Don't you dissect in your own class?" Marie questioned her boyfriend.
"Yes but for this one I want you to dissect with me." Stein smiled. "Now?"
"Yes, now." Stein urged.
"I can't just start dissecting in the middle of teaching a class." Marie sighed.
"What's the matter? Chicken?" Blackstar yelled standing on his desk. Stein without looking threw a scalpel at his head. He handed Marie a scalpel.
"Now Marie. This one is special. I swear." Stein finally convinced her.
He uncovered the table to reveal a rather large dove. The class started whispering and craning their necks to get a better look at what was so special about this particular dissection.
"This is what we will be dissecting." Stein proudly announced.
"We? Both of us? Oh god." Marie sighed. Stein prepared he and Marie for the dissection and began giving her instructions.
"Just cut it here. Steady, steady now. Yes. Ok, now slice this just a bit." Stein guided her as Marie grew more and more pale.
"Oh god why." Tsubaki whispered hiding behind the pale Blackstar. "Haha! Look sis it's bloody!" Patty cheered to the quivering Liz while Kidd was unconscious due to the unsymmetrical dissection. Stein guided Marie's hand while Marie bit her lip.
"Why on Earth are we doing this Stein?"
"Because I love you and I want to do everything for the rest of our lives together, just like this dissection." Stein calmly explained. Marie was a confused. What was he talking about?
"There are no words to express my disgust." Maka trembled.
"So uncool." Soul groaned looking away. The rest of the class watched their two teachers intently to see what happens next. Suddenly, Stein held up something small from the dove.
"This is the heart. Marie, cut it open and see what's inside."
"Do I really have to Stein? I'm feeling a bit queasy." Marie whimpered. "Please Marie. I swear this is it and we're done. You'll love it trust me." Stein pleaded. Marie held her breath and cut open the tiny creatures heart.
"Is something sparkling in there? What is that, is that normal?" Marie gasped as she pulled out a beautiful 2 caret diamond ring. Everyone stared in silence at the slightly bloody ring in Marie's hands.
"I don't know how to deal with this" Crona whispered.
Stein took it from Marie's hands and wiped it off on his lab coat so it was shining. He got down on one knee and the whole room gasped. Marie's eyes were watering.
"Marie, I love you. I have for a very long time and I will forever more. I want us to spend the rest of our lives as more than weapon and miester partners or boyfriend and girlfriend. But as a married couple. I'm not very good at this romantic stuff but I am sure about one thing. I want to be with you, always. So Marie, will you marry me?" Stein finished giving her a crooked smile.
Marie was in tears. She never thought that this day would come. She smiled and nodded her head choking out a shaky yes. Stein let out the breath he was holding in and put the ring on her finger. He stood up and kissed Marie with all his might as the classroom erupted with applause.
