A/N This was created using a prompt from Harmony & Co. It's a submission for #minisagamonday. This is my first attempt at fanfiction and I'm planning on fleshing this out for a full story later.
September 19, 1986
On the night, Hermione Granger was seven years old, she cried because no one showed up to her birthday party. Her parents set out her cake and asked her to make a wish. "I wish that I'd make the best friend in the world. How will I know they are meant to be my friend though?" she thought.
Unknown to Hermione, Magic answered. When she awoke she noticed a small bird tattoo behind her right ear.
October 31, 1991
Harry had just rescued Hermione from the troll in the girl's bathroom and had raked his hands through his hair as the professors questioned him on how he took down a full-grown mountain troll. Hermione was standing behind him and saw a tiny bird mark behind his right ear. Hermione knew at that moment that Harry was meant to be her friend.
