Author's note: IM SO SORRY I SWORE I'D NEVER GO A YEAR WITHOUT UPDATING YET HERE WE ARE 11 MONTHS WITHOUT AN UPDATE. IM SOOOOO SORRY GUYS! Tbh I was really stressed over this story for a time cause I wasn't sure all my readers would be able to see the end then once that stress went away I relaxed and I kinda relaxed too much. Im so so so so sorry. It doesn't help that my brain decided it didn't want to write Danny and Blake right when I start a chapter that focuses on them. Which I still haven't written that, but it will be done. For now I've written something to take its place, since writing Lisa and Jackson rarely fails.

Also to the guest that said this is the best fic in the fandom: wow. Like yo im proud of this but that's a HUGE compliment. Thank you!

Lisa sighed and stared at the sky. The dark clouds overhead brought the promise of a heavy rain. Jackson loved the rain. The calmness that came from staying indoors by a fireplace, some smooth jazz playing and the tapping of rain on the rooftop. As she stood there, rain drops beginning to fall, she heard the cd player click on. As expected it was Jackson's classy music. Jazz never was her preference, but she'd come to appreciate it. If nothing else it reminded her of Jackson, and that was a calming thought.

Finally turning away from the window she saw Jackson relaxing on the couch. "Everything okay Leese?" He asked.

She nodded, walking over and sitting down next to Jackson. He automatically wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close. "I'm fine. I just sometimes wonder how you can be so domestic."

He scoffed playfully, as if she'd said something offensive. "My my Lisa, is there something bad about me being domestic?"

Lisa shook her head, grinning as she leaned her head against his shoulder. "No. But we met... in odd circumstances and now look at us." She paused for a moment or two before continuing, "Jackson. Do you remember when we went to that drive in theater? Before the movie we were talking and you said I'd be a good mother. Could we... try?"

Jackson turned his head to look at her, clearly surprised by the question. He honestly wasn't sure how to reply. Children had never been his cup of tea, but if she wanted them... well that meant he needed to think about it. His parents weren't what you'd call supportive. They kept food in the house, but never really fixed him anything. When he showed interest in anything in school they either shrugged it off, or they hit him for being interested in a 'dumb club.' Needless to say, he wasn't sure how to be a good parent.

But having Lisa there, surely he would learn. She was used to dealing with kids at the hotel, and surely she had a better social life as a child. Even if she hadn't, Joe and her mother did a good job raising her. She was firm, but sweet. She knew how to have fun, and she knew when to get to work. She was a balance of sweet and salty that was sure to raise a child properly.

After thinking it through, for what felt like much more than the few minutes it was, he spoke again. "If that's what you want, we can try."

Lisa slowly rubbed her eyes, realizing she'd fallen asleep on the couch. Ever since she realized she still wanted him so much she'd been plagued with thoughts of him. When she was asleep even her dreams turned to him. The worst part was that it didn't bother her. She was about to be divorced from Blake, and soon married to Jackson instead. She was being forced to help him with a job, that still hadn't been explained.

On the topic of the job, she'd need to take some time off at the hotel. Ryean and Cynthia could surely come up with an excuse if she suddenly left, but from what Jackson said this job would take some time. For all she knows she may have to quit her job at the hotel, all because of Jackson.

The sooner Jackson told her what the details of the job were the better. She also wanted to know what exactly Danny had to do with this. Blake had of course told her they were both involved in some bad stuff before becoming cops, but from the sound of it Danny just got better at covering his tracks. Again, the sooner she talked to Jackson the better.

She could ask Blake about Danny, but he wouldn't want to talk about it. Undoubtedly he'd try to direct the conversion to stopping the divorce, which according to Jackson would be done by the end of the week. The realization that in less than a week she'd no longer be married to Blake hit hard, but not as hard as expected. She should have been upset, but instead there was a feeling that was... It wasn't pleasant but, it didn't hurt. It just sort of felt, almost like having a loose tooth that's finally fallen out. It doesn't hurt, but there's a spot that just seems wrong.

Before her thoughts could go any further Cynthia walked in, carrying bags of groceries. Lisa quickly got up to help. There was no point in sulking, so Lisa wouldn't let herself do so. Although, the dream stuck out in her mind as she worked. It wasn't just a dream, it was a memory.

Author's note: this chapter ended up a lot more plot related than I honestly expected. This is good. I don't feel so bad about making y'all wait. I mean, i still feel like crap for making y'all wait almost a year and then just getting a filler chapter, but its not as bad as I expected. It ended up being rather important to the plot.
