Author's note: I wonder how many times I've started this chapter via FF's doc manager and failed to finish it thus it got deleted? Cause I'm p sure it's happened several times.

This chapter is a bit short, but idk in comparison to my old writing it's probably right on par. Either way, the next chapter should be longer, and hopefully come out sooner. I'm on spring break atm so I should have time to write. Let's just hope I actually use that time to write. Next chapter we will finally get to the job.

And Trudi, honestly I'm only gonna reply to the bit about Caraline cause I don't wanna risk spoiling things. She's honestly a really interesting character cause I never meant for her to stick around so long. She was just spose to be a tool because she was dating Jackson and looks like Lisa. She has certainly done more than that.

Lisa saw very little of the preparations for the job. In the long run, she barely knew how they put together fake lives. All she was privy to was the information she needed to know about their lives. How they met, a normal plane flight where they were both headed to work related events. How they started dating, running into each other a couple times in Miami afterwards and hitting it off. The tragic time during which Jackson was forced to move away for work, thus breaking their relationship. Finally, the wondrous reunion when Jackson returned, and they were able to get married. It was a small wedding. They agreed to say that their families and a few work friends had been there. Caraline, Cynthia, and Ryean being the key people in attendance. Joe had of course walked Lisa down the isle.

That was the story anyways. Reality was much different. Ryean and Cynthia only knew that Lisa was taking a sabbatical, and Joe only even knew what Lisa was going through because Blake had told him. Caraline did actually show up at the courthouse when they signed the legal document, making her the sole witness to their 'wedding'. After which they returned to Jackson's place. Caraline had gone her own way, leaving the two of them alone.

"Jackson, we need to talk about something," Lisa said as the arrived home.

He raised an eyebrow at her as he unlocked the front door. "I thought so. You've been rather reserved for almost two weeks now. What's wrong?"

She walked in, hugging her jacket around her. "Sit down. Please."

Jackson shut the door, walked over to her, and ran a hand over her bicep. "Leese what's going on?"

Lisa pulled away slightly to sit down. He followed her example, sitting almost sideways to face her. For a minute they sat in silence before Lisa could bring herself to speak again. "I- when we-..." she paused, trying to find the right words. "Jackson, I'm pregnant."

The look on his face immediately switched from concern to surprise. They had only slept together the one time, and while he had to admit they hadn't used protection, he didn't expect this. All the memories of them agreeing to try for kids rushed back, and suddenly he's scared. "Wait what?" is all he could mutter.

She sighed, swallowing hard before speaking, "Blake and I were already trying so... when we were together it wasn't hard."

At the mention of her trying with Blake he shifted, brows furrowing. "You're sure it's mine?" he asked.

Lisa nodded. "It's been too long since I was with him. It's yours Jackson. What do we do?"

He took a deep breath, running his hands over his face. Several minutes past in silence while he deliberated her question. What would they do? He told her to act like they were excited about having kids, he didn't expect it to be real. Until after the job this wouldn't cause too many problems... but that would they do then? Would Lisa even stick around? She had stopped fighting back, even appearing to feel safe around Jackson. But after the job who knew what she'd do? "Leese, what do you want?" he finally asked.

She bit her lip, a hand resting on her stomach. "I'm not killing it. But... I don't know. We agreed so long ago... I don't know if we still could."

Jackson moved closer, raising a hand to caress her cheek. "Alright. Let's focus on the job, then we'll see what happens. Are you okay?"

"I don't know." she leaned over, resting her head against his shoulder. "I've wanted kids for so long but... I never actually thought this would happen. Is this going to cause problems for the job?"

He shook his head, running a hand through her hair as he shifted to hold her against his side. "If anything it helps the job. We'll be okay. Have you told anyone?"

"Just you. I can't tell Blake, and Cynthia... she'd panic. So would my dad. I think it's best to keep this quiet for now," Lisa said.

He nodded. "Alright. Just don't be afraid to mention it on the job. Having this baby will add to the realism of our life." Lisa gave another nod, but said nothing more. What else was there to say?
