Mutant Heart And Mutant Soul Chapter 12
Our friends back home were starting to get worried especially the Professor. We had been gone a long time and no one had heard anything from us. Jubilee is the one to bring her thoughts to the Professor before the rest of them.
She said "Maybe we should go look for them they've been gone for too long."
Rogue put a hand on Jubilees shoulder.
"Don't fret now, Sugar. I'm sure they're all right," Rogue said.
Gambit nodded his head in agreement with Rogue.
Nightcrawler isn't really convinced. Turning toward the Professor, Kurt said "Maybe you should use Cerebro. You know just in case."
The Professor rubbed his chin in thought but he did agree to Nightcrawlers request.
In the control room the Professor put Cerebro his head and used his mind to try and focus on our location.
"Well can you sense anything, Charles," said Beast.
Suddenly the Professor opened his eyes wide and a look of horror was on his face.
"I can't sense anything," he breathed.
Immediately they started yelling out ideas of what to do about this.
"We need to go after them use the jets."
"We can't use the blackbird the others took it looking for, Morph."
"Trace where they were last located we might be able to find them that way."
The Professor didn't say anything only nodded and went back to using Cerebro trying to trace our signature to where we last were. He found them at the same place we were the day before nothing had really changed.
He said "Their trail ends just where that fair was. I can't pick up anything more than that."
"That's all we need to know Charles," Beast said.
They all now went straight to their jobs they didn't want to waste any time in case Jean, Scott, Logan, and I were in any danger.
Since none of them could use the blackbird they had to take the two mini-jets and at least one of the cars to get to where they needed to be. This trip took longer than they wanted it to be. They came to our spot while the fair was just starting to pack up its supplies and others things it had with them in their trucks. My friends weren't going to get any information out of them, even going by their appearances to the workers of the fair. They did ask at least some questions but didn't really get any answers. This had brought them into another dead end. My friends weren't going to give up that easily. They were searching around the area where we last were trying to find come clues to what happened to us. Some of them were starting to get a little impatient.
Storm was getting worried about us so she was starting to lose it. The ground was starting to shake uncontrollably under them as Storms emotions were starting to run high. The others had to work very hard to calm her down. At one point during their search they were even starting to lose hope. But then just as they were about to give up something completely unexpected happened to them. They were moving through a clearing when Gambit bumped into something.
Rubbing his head, he said "What was that?"
He got his answer when suddenly the blackbird appeared right in front of them. They all jumped back in surprise when they saw it.
"How in the world did that get here," Beast said.
Storm said "Our comrades must have hid it here as they were searching for Morph."
"But if it's here then where are they," said Jubilee.
That was the question that everyone had on their minds.
Emerging out from of one of the trees flew out Silverwings and she lands on the shoulder of Jubilee. Jubilee made an exclamation of surprise
"Silverwings!"
They all crowded around Jubilee to get a good look at Silverwings.
"What's she doing here? Shouldn't she be with Silverstream," said Gambit.
"That's what I'd like to know," said Charles.
The Professor now came forward and held out his hand to Silverwings. Silverwings jumped onto his hand and the Professor started to stroke her back with his index finger. Silverwings arched her back in response to his preening.
"Where has your master gone little one," he said.
Silverwings and the Professor made eye contact with each other and they stared into each other's eyes for at least a few minutes. The others knew what the Professor was doing and they didn't want to interrupt him.
He saw everything! The Professor was searching the mind of Silverwings for any information he thought would be useful to him. The Professor got a lot more than he bargained for. He saw the trap that was set for Scott, Jean, Logan, and I when we had reached the fair. The most important part was when he saw the part when the four of us were taken through a portal by our captors. As soon as he saw this the Professor pulled out of Silverwings mind with a gasp. Beast went over to the Professor a look of concern on his face.
"My friend," he said.
Charles now looked up at Beast with sad eyes.
Charles said "They've been captured."
"By who?"
The others weren't prepared for what was said next.
"Sinister," declared the Professor.
Their eyes widened at what was said. They knew this was the worst possible thing that could happen to us. Nightcrawler was the only person who was a little clueless here.
"Who is this Sinister," Nightcrawler said.
Gambit said "Big trouble is what he is, Man. Don't want to mess with him or get involved."
"But what does he do," Nightcrawler said.
Storm said "He experiments on mutants trying to find out more about our kind and to create more mutants. He's a mutant himself you know a vampire kind to say the least."
"He's tried to take Scott and Jean a number of times but, he wasn't able to get to them until now. It was a trap all along," Rogue said.
These guys were getting things mixed up. Sinister was only after me this time Scott and Jean were just a bonus for him with Wolverine.
Jubilee said "Finding Morph was too easy we should've realized it was a trap." Jubilee turned to the Professor. "Do you have any idea where they are Professor?"
Shaking his head sadly, Charles said "No, I couldn't find anything on that in Silverwings mind. Sinister definitely knew what he was doing this time. It's going to be hard to find them because of this."
"We need to rethink our strategy we should head back to the mansion before we do anything else," surmises Beast.
Everyone agreed with Beasts words even though they didn't want to. They knew it was what they need to do at the moment. Nightcrawler had to ride alone in one of the mini-jets now since Beast was flying the blackbird back to base.

I have other grand news! I was a patron at New York Comic Con! Ah! I'd been dying to go for years and now I had the opportunity. The Jokers from Impractical Jokers have been here along with Tom Hiddleston and so many others. Over those few days I actually got my picture taken with a couple of other actors/actresses and some really great panels. It really is so exciting there. This is an opportunity of a lifetime so there's no way in hell that I was going to waste a single second of it. No one ever should with something like this. Ever! ;D
For future preferences I highly recommend that you all keep an eye out for when tickets for New York Comic Con are available for purchase again for next year. This is a huge event and you should jump on it whenever you have the chance.
