Chapter 14: Gravity

"YOU TOLD HIM?"

"Woman keep your voice down!" Vegeta yelled back.

Bulma ran her fingers through her hair and paced back and forth. "Seriously what is up with your mother?"

"I told you I didn't know and I still don't know. But apparently Kakarot and Chichi were mere pawns to try and keep you away from me. So like I said, I had no other option but to tell him about your latest invention."

"But he wants me to make one for him. Not for you!" Bulma yelled again.

Vegeta's curiosity raised his eyebrow. "Refresh my memory, why do you care so much about me getting my gravity room?"

Bulma stuck out her chin with pride. "Because it won't take me long to build your father one and by the time I'm finished he will have someone else build yours and forbid us to be together."

The smirk was very predictable. "So you want me that bad huh?"

Bulma glared at him and walked as sexily as possible toward him and trailed her hands up his chest and then around his neck. "Because then I won't have enough time to make you fall head over heels for me."

"The dreams you visionaries have are astounding as they are unbelievable." Vegeta said he took advantage of their position and ran his gloveless hands down her arms. "But I know that it won't take you long to build it, and you know that it won't take you long to build it, but my father does not."

"So you want me to stall and build yours at the same time?"

"Yes our plan still remains the same; you will capsulate my gravity room inside of my training room. No one will be the wiser."

"Very good Vegeta. So do you want the gravity room really bad or is it just me you want?"

"Can't I have both?" He said right before he devoured her mouth.

Bulma couldn't help it but her toes curled with his kiss. He was becoming more and more passionate by the second but two could very well play that game. She reached down and trailed her fingers lightly across his tail right before her nails bit into it.

Vegeta gave out a growl and just about slammed her against the wall. Bulma's giggles filled the air as he glared down at her. "Keep that up Woman and I will take it as an open invitation to your virtue."

"Oh Vegeta I was only curious about your level of...control?"

Vegeta groaned and breathed in her neck. "Don't challenge me Woman, because you will not like the results."

"But it's so much fun." She said as she kissed him forcefully. Vegeta kissed her back just as forceful, but it didn't last long as she broke the kiss with more of her giggles. "I have to go prepare if I am to meet your father."

"Go then. I will see you later."

Bulma pecked his lips one last time and left out his room. Vegeta exhaled a long breath then turned around and went straight to his bathroom for a much needed cold shower. If their time span together was shortened that means that both sides were kicking things up a notch and Bulma threw down her gauntlet quite forceful.

He stripped down and turned on the handle to the shower so hard that he almost broke it. As the ice water sprayed his body Vegeta sighed in frustration. "Control indeed."

Bulma contacted her father and told him it was an emergency and went straight to her home inside the palace which was about two floors down and on the other side. Once she reached her family's living area her father was waiting for her. She explained everything to him including the concept of the gravity room.

"It shouldn't take long to get this up and running."

"Um, actually Dad, I think we should take our time with this one."

"Why?"

"We don't need to let the King know about everything we are capable of. If he truly knows how skilled we are then he might enslave us."

"Bulma don't you think you're being a little over dramatic?"

"Ok maybe slavery is the wrong term but I don't want to be glued to a science table every day and night. Do you?"

"I see what you're saying. But don't you think it's possible that Bardock or the other scientist might figure out that we are slowing down on purpose?"

"Not if we do everything in our own metric system and language."

"Bulma, we already did the capsules for them. There is no way they could fall for it."

"Yea you're right...but what about trial and error?"

"What?"

"You know, scientists make mistakes all the time. So all we have to do is build it to a certain point that leads to an error and then fix it. If we do it like 3 times no one would be the wiser."

"Bulma I don't know, these Saiyans don't exactly like to wait."

"Dad please? I just need to stall long enough to-"

"Is this about Vegeta?"

Bulma was about to deny it but the look on her father's face made her change her plans of denial. She nodded her head and looked to the ground.

"You still have that crazy plan for going after the throne?"

"It's going to happen Dad."

"Bulma-"

"All I need is for Vegeta to fall for me. He's almost there, I can tell. I just need more time with him."

"Bulma, how can you be so sure that Vegeta is going to want you still after this?"

Bulma knew the answer to that, but she thought it was best to not let him know everything about her plan. "I know what I'm doing."

"I don't think you do. You care about this boy and while you try to make him fall for you, you're only going to fall for him. Don't fool yourself. You are not some professional whore that is used to seducing men. You are an innocent girl filled with love and life. There is no way that you can do this without your feelings being involved."

"I have to try! These saiyans...what they do to people...it needs to stop and I am the one that's going to stop it."

Dr. Briefs placed his hands around her shoulders in comforting way that only a father could. "Bulma nothing would make me happier than to see my darling princess become a queen. But you have to realize that no one asked you to try and save the universe."

"Is anyone ever asked?"

"Bulma-"

"Dad will you please do this for me? All I need is a week."

"Alright. You will have one week."

"Thanks. I'm going to go get the plans." Bulma said right before she kissed his cheek and ran off to her room.

Bunny then came home with a big smile on her face. "Oh hello Dear! I was just talking with the chef in the palace. He's going to let me bake a cake and I'm so excited. What have you and Bulma been up to?"

"We were talking."

"About what Dear?"

He sat down in a cushioned chair and sighed sadly. "About how she's falling in love and we are eventually going to lose her."

That evening Vegeta was more than surprised to be summoned to have dinner with his mother. The royal family hardly ever ate dinner with each other. Breakfast was something that they did try to do every morning but with everyone's busy schedules, dinner was always every man for himself.

Vegeta saw the heavy spread and sat down with untrusting eyes toward his mother as he began to pile the food onto his plate. "What do you want?"

"Can't a mother have dinner with her son?"

"I have never known you to not have an ulterior motive to anything you do." He said right before he devoured everything in front of him and then reached for seconds.

The Queen dropped her fake smile and started to eat as well. "You are just as suspicious as your father. Very well then. What are your intentions with the girl?"

Vegeta swallowed the food in his mouth. He could have sworn he already had this conversation with his mother but apparently she wanted a repeat. "I like her."

"Vegeta you cannot be serious?"

"I want her and for now I will have her."

"Well don't get too comfortable. Once this project is over you won't see her and do not think that I didn't know that you orchestrated this whole thing to keep her around for longer."

"I know that you know that mother. But I don't understand is how you don't see how much of an asset she is."

The queen dropped her fork she was using and laughed. "To the empire or your bed? Because that is what we are really talking about. I don't care about her silly little toys. There are always people more skilled than the next out there trying to get ahead. Right now it's the girl and her father and next month it will be an entirely different species. I know this, and your father knows this, but unfortunately you do not. The girl is not as special as you think she is. She is only popular in the people's eye because I make it so. Do you understand?"

Vegeta pushed his plate away. No one could make him lose his appetite like his mother. "You're wrong."

"What?"

"She is different. She gained respect from the people without you ever lifting a finger. It was her own acts that got her in the papers."

"I am the one who put her in that school!"

"Yes and I am the one that tortured and humiliated her, but she came back fighting and gained the popularity of the entire teenage Saiyan and alien population. She never needed your help, she became a princess on her own."

His mother was near growling. "Need I remind you that she does not have royal blood flowing through her veins?"

Vegeta gave back to her the same she was giving to him. "And need I remind you that neither do you?"

A loud crack echoed in the room after the slap that the Queen delivered to her son. "How dare you compare that ALIEN TRASH to me? I was the strongest, smartest, and most beautiful Saiyan female on the planet! She is nothing compared to me! And the fact that you even dared compared us tells me that you have clearly lost your mind!"

Vegeta pushed away from the table lest he do something he would regret…or rather his father would be really angry about. "You're not angry that I've lost my mind, you're angry because you can't control it. Thanks for dinner." He threw over his shoulder as he left out the room.

The Queen breathed in and out trying to calm down, but his comments got to her more than she liked. In complete anger she flipped the table over causing all the delicious food to become trash on the floor.

'If he thinks I'm finished with him then he doesn't know me at all.'

Later

Chichi looked at the room service that was brought up to her and her husband and sighed.

Kakarot saw her pause and moved the food around his mouth so that he could speak. "Don't you like it?"

"Kakarot don't chew with your mouth opened its disgusting." Chichi didn't continue until he finished swallowing his food. "And yes it's good, but I don't want to live in a hotel for the rest of my life. And you still need to go back to school, and I still haven't spoken to my father yet."

"Hey don't feel bad Chi. Look everything will be fine."

"You keep saying that, but we don't even have a place to live."

"Hey, I'm looking for a place. I'm not poor so I'll find something for sure."

Chichi was about to say something but a knock at the door stole their attention. It was getting pretty late in the day so whoever was visiting must have been a former friend or a family member. And Chichi wasn't ready to face anyone just yet.

Kakarot was taken aback and bowed three times in a row at the shock of seeing the Queen standing in his doorway.

"Your highness? What are you doing here?"

The Queen walked past him into the hotel room and Chichi nervously stood up and bowed to her. "Oh I have every right to check on the couple that I gave my permission to." She looked around and smiled at them. "Even though this is a fine hotel, it is hardly a place to raise a family. Come with me."

"Where are we going?" Chichi asked.

The Queen had used up all her patience with her son. "I said come with me." She said over her shoulder then walked out into the hallway and went to the balcony. Being that Vegeta was primarily a flying planet, every floor of every building had balconies. Depending on how expensive a place depended on how many balconies it had. The Queen took to the air and Kakarot gathered Chichi in his arms and followed after her.

A few minutes later they were at a villa outside the city. From a distance you could tell that it was rather expensive. It was made of white marble like stone and warm pink colored ones filled the floor. There were opened windows all around with tall ceilings lined with crown molding. Kakarot knew that he would only be able to afford something like this after a decade of purging.

The Queen looked around with approval. "It is already paid for so you need not worry."

Chichi gasped a few times. "We-we can live here?" The Queen merely nodded.

Kakarot remembered Vegeta's warnings about his mother and narrowed his eyes. "Why are you doing this? I mean I could afford this if I went on more purges but-"

"Don't worry about any of it. Just concentrate on raising your family." The Queen said in a clipped tone that dared them to defy her. "But I do have a request."

Kakarot knew that was coming. "A queen asks for requests?"

"Oh it's actually my polite way of giving demands. After all I have done for the two of you I would say that you owe me your very children." A look of horror washed over Chichi's face and the Queen laughed. "That was a joke my dear. No I want you guys to do a press conference as soon as possible."

"Why?"

The Queen's humor left. "Once again me using the phrases such as, 'request' and 'want you to' are only polite ways of telling you to actually obey me. The questions will only be about love and life. So you have nothing to worry about but to tell the truth. Alright?"

Kakarot didn't know what to do. The only person that could get him out of this was Vegeta, but he was pretty sure that he wouldn't be up for helping him. "Ok."

"Good they will be here tomorrow afternoon. This place is already furnished and filled with plenty of clothing and fine materials so try to make yourselves at home."

With that the Queen left leaving the couple to ponder about what just transpired. Chichi turned to Kakarot more than a little worried. "Kakarot, what have we gotten ourselves into?"

Kakarot hugged his wife unsure himself. "I have no idea."

The Next Day

Being that the King wanted his machine finished quickly, Bulma was told not to go to school and to work on the King's Gravity room. After working all day she was finally given leave once she was able to tell the other scientist and workers what they had to do through the night. But now she had to get to work on her real job. Vegeta was already waiting for her inside of his training room. After Bulma ignored his comments of "What took you so long? And you work too slow." She told him to stand back as she released the capsule room that will house his gravity room. It took up the majority of his training room only leaving him like 5 feet to the walls of his actual training room.

"Now, both yours and your father's should be finished at the same time." Bulma said gathering her tools and capsules and walking inside to get to work.

"And what am I supposed to do while you clank around?"

"I don't know do pushups or something."

"There is barely any space to do even that!" He whined.

"Well you can come in with me, but just don't bother me while I work."

He grumbled something about doing whatever he wants to do and walked inside and started his training routine. Bulma had seen him train before but he had never really seen her work. She was like a mad woman, completely focused in her task. Her hair was up in a ponytail and he thought it was cute how she would always try to push strands of her hair back in place when they would only eventually fall down again. He also liked the way she would try her hardest to unscrew a tough bolt, not even thinking of asking for his strength for help. She was a proud woman that knew very well that she could do it on her own. It was like her own battle, her own training that she used her particular skills and talent to win. And like him, she wanted to be the best and wasn't intimidated by anyone.

After a while of glancing her way, he noticed that he was paying more attention to her than she was to him. He furrowed his brows not liking that at all. So he moved in her eyesight and smirked as he started doing finger pushups. He knew that she found him attractive just like every other woman in the universe.

"I know what you're trying to do Vegeta." She said without raising her eyes to even look at him.

Vegeta frowned and stilled his movements. "And what is that?"

Bulma finally glanced his way, admired his body for a moment, and then got back to work. "I don't have time to play with you. I have to get this done or our plan would be for nothing. So don't bother me, I'm in the zone."

Vegeta's jaw dropped and then he growled. "I am trying to train. It's not my fault that you stilled your moments to watch me."

Bulma sighed. "Is this your way of trying to seduce me? If it is its not working."

Bulma barely had time to think before Vegeta had her pinned against the nearest wall. She briefly wondered if all men liked to pin women against walls or if it was just Vegeta.

"Vegeta what are you doing?"

He shrugged then gave her that smirk that she loved and hated at the same time.

"Showing you my way." He said right before he kissed her hotly and then moved from her mouth to her neck. Bulma grabbed the back of his neck and moaned at his new assault. Her brain was getting fuzzy at his ministrations. But somehow her genius brain worked a path back to logic and started pushing him away. "Alright you've made your point."

Vegeta pulled back slightly and smirked.

Bulma tried to hide her blush and said, "But I have to finish this for you."

Vegeta pecked her lips one more time and chuckled as he glanced at her neck but didn't say anything else as he walked away. Bulma was about to ask what was so funny but was stopped at the sound of knocking. She quickly motioned for Vegeta to move outside the gravity room and she quickly followed and capsulated the room. She put it in her pocket and Vegeta opened the door.

Bulma was surprised to see a very ticked off Turles. He glanced at Bulma and rolled his eyes. He then stared at her neck and said, "I guess your training was put on pause for a moment."

Bulma blinked at him and followed his eyesight to her neck and touched it with her fingertips. The area was tender and swollen. She gasped and looked at Vegeta. "Did you give me a freaking hickey?"

Vegeta chuckled. "What's the big deal if I mark you? Everyone knows that you are mine."

Bulma scoffed and was about to yell at him but Turles stopped her.

"You guys can fight later. Kakarot and his woman have decided to broadcast their idiocy to the world. They are on the media wave right now."

Without another word Bulma touched her scouter and it came to life. With a few clicks she had the feed projecting on the wall of the gravity room.

Kakarot and Chichi looked nervous as they were being asked questions off camera.

"So are you two in love?"

Kakarot grabbed Chichi's hand and nodded. "Yes we are."

Turles groaned while Vegeta shook his head. The two of them knew that he would never live that down for the rest of his Saiyan life.

"It is obvious that your union was sudden. What did your families and comrades think?"

Chichi felt a wave of guilt hit her. Out of fear she hadn't spoken to her father. Kakarot squeezed her hand in comfort and spoke. "They know of the union. They weren't pleased, but we wanted to be together forever."

"Now Chichi you are indeed an Earthling correct?"

Kakarot tensed; he had a feeling where this was going.

Chichi nodded her head. "Yes I am."

"And you married Kakarot knowing that he was the one that single handedly destroyed your home planet?"

Chichi raised her chin. She knew that she would probably get answered that question for the rest of her life, so it was stupid to be afraid of it. "Love is a powerful thing. It heals, it unites, and it forgives. Besides, Kakarot was a child; he didn't know what he fully doing. How could I blame him?"

"So do you blame the Saiyan Empire?"

It was like the whole planet stilled at the moment. This was her opportunity to promote treason. Kakarot frowned at the interviewer. He didn't know what Chichi was going to say and her very life was going to depend upon her answer.

Chichi knew this too, so with the best of her abilities she lied. "How can I blame the Saiyan Empire when my world was too weak to stop them?"

Bulma gasped out loud and caught Vegeta's and Turles's attention, but she didn't care. Had Kakarot completely warped her mind? Was she a total traitor? Did she not care about being an Earthling anymore?

"What do you think about the Prince's and the Alien Princess's relationship?"

Everyone's attention was back on the screen at that.

Chichi and Kakarot looked at each other and Chichi asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well do you think that they will end up where you are?"

Kakarot blinked. "Well, the Prince has always had girls before."

"But he has never been with someone as long as he has with Bulma Briefs. Some believe that it's a power move to please the aliens while others believe it's the real deal."

"Well it's definitely not a power move." Chichi said.

"So you're saying it's the real deal? The prince has actually fallen for an alien?"

"I'm not saying that."

"Well let's play around with scenarios in the world of 'what if'. What if the Prince has fallen for the girl; do either of you believe that they could become mated and that for the first time in Saiyan history, the empire would have an alien Queen and half breed heirs?"

It was like lightning struck Chichi's brain. She finally realized why the Queen was for her and Kakarot being together and why this interview was going on. She was using them as an example of what Bulma and Vegeta could become. She doubted that the king and the saiyan people would like it. But if it was Bulma's plan to use Vegeta and get to the throne then she was going to put a stop to it. These people were too powerful to mess with.

Kakarot furrowed his brows in frustration. "That's something you should ask them-"

"Yes!" Chichi exclaimed.

Vegeta fidgeted and Bulma's mouth fell open.

Kakarot looked at Chichi confused but she plastered a big smile on her face and kept on. "Bulma is my best friend and I've known her my whole life. She is madly in love with the Prince and would want nothing more than to spend the rest of her life with him. And anyone that is close to the prince will tell you that he has never acted this way toward any girl. He even respects her culture and beliefs enough not to sleep with her. That alone should tell you how committed he is to her. And it was very interesting how they met. At first they couldn't stand one another, which the Saiyans at their school can testify to, but hate became attraction and attraction became love."

"So you actually believe that these two will go the distance?"

"Trust me, if those two break up, it will be because they are forced to break up and not because they wanted to."

Vegeta clenched his fist and growled. "Turn it off."

Bulma shakily did what he was told. If the King didn't want them together before, he definitely wouldn't want them together now.

Turles shook his head. "I don't even know that kid anymore." And with that he left out leaving the couple to take in what just happened.

Bulma could not believe what her 'friend' just did. She knew she faked that whole speech and didn't even believe it. She knew that Chichi didn't want her to go about any type of plan, but if she thought she helped she didn't. She ran her fingers through her hair taking out her pony tail and then looked at Vegeta who had been staring at her the whole time.

"Don't look at me like that! I don't know why she sprouted all that crap. I am not in love with you Vegeta."

"Regardless of what your feelings are toward me, the whole universe is now going to believe everything that harpy said." He said as he angrily kicked the wall. "My father is going to blast this whole planet in fury."

Bulma paled as her scouter started to blink furiously. "Vegeta your father is coming."

"How do you know?"

"I installed a sensor in the hallway to tell me if your father's scouter is nearby and it just went off."

"Come here."

"What are you-?"

"He's not the type to knock." He said right before he almost swallowed her tongue with how deep he started kissing her. Bulma was once again lost as Vegeta pulled her tightly against him as he clearly dominated her very being with his powerful kiss. Vegeta didn't know if this would be the last chance they got to kiss, so he was taking full advantage of it. He wanted to memorize every glorious inch of her sweet mouth. No woman had ever captivated him so with only a few kisses and he would more than likely never forget it either.

It wasn't until the two teenagers heard a loud chuckle that they pulled away from one another.

"I heard the two of you were in here. I was curious to what you were doing and now I think I should have left you alone."

"Perhaps." Vegeta said smirking.

Bulma's blush was apparent, but seeing the King brought a fear back into her. She didn't understand why Vegeta did that especially if the King saw the broadcast and thinks they are in love with one another.

"Bulma would you excuse us I would like to speak to my son alone."

"Yes your highness. Bye Vegeta." Bulma said shakily before she left out.

The King watched her go then looked back to his son. "She is a beautiful one. Is she sweet? She looks like she tastes sweet."

Vegeta scoffed at that. "That is none of your concern."

The King smirked evilly at his son. "I can always find out."

"You will do no such thing?" Vegeta threatened.

The King's smirk fell. "So you do care for the girl?"

Vegeta realized his mistake and that his father was testing him. "You are the one that wanted me to play along until her usefulness was proven. She is to stay mine until this thing is over and I will not be seen as a fool by anyone."

"So you are telling me that your defense is solely because of your pride?"

"Yes."

"Your mother's concerns had gained my attention, but now with your comrades and his mates broadcast I am now concerned. Once Bulma is done building my gravity room, the two of you are done. The people apparently like her enough so I can't have the elders and high counsel thinking that my son will mate an alien."

Vegeta wanted to argue and say that he doesn't care what they think but he had to keep things all business. "And what about my own gravity room?"

The King wasn't expecting that. "Ah, so that's what this is about? You want to seduce her to have your own training room. Were you even planning on telling me about the gravity room or were you going to have her build one for you in secret so that you can try and become a Super Saiyan?" Vegeta shrugged and the King chuckled as he uncovered his son's plot. "Well, I had to admit Vegeta, I was concerned, but your selfish pride has renewed my belief in your true intentions with the girl. But once she completes mine then Bardock would know doubt be able to repeat one for you…unless she is keeping something even better for her lover?"

"She isn't. She knows that you get the best." 'I'll just have it first.'

"Good. Once the machine is built you will end this thing you have with her."

Vegeta knew he was pushing it, but he had to know what he would say. "And if I want to continue to see her?"

The King was silent for a moment. He knew that his son knew that he just lost his bluff and showed his interest in the girl. The fact that his son let down his guard sent up a red flag letting him know that his wife was indeed right about this. It was getting out of control. "If you continue to see her I will send her away to another planet where you will more than likely never see her again until you are King. So I would suggest that you do whatever it is you need to do to get her out of your system because you will not be interacting with her after my gravity room is built."

Vegeta knew that his father was going to say that, and he had even had the discussion with Bulma earlier that the gravity room building would be their last hurrah, but hearing it confirmed just made his blood boil. "When I become King? Be careful old man, because that could be a lot sooner than later."

The King smiled in amusement. "Ha-ha. Become a super saiyan first and then we'll talk about it."

"When the day comes there will be no talking."

"Yes when the day comes, but until then my word is law. You will not see her after this. Your mother is right; this 'alien princess' nonsense needs to stop. She is becoming too popular."

"Fine."

"Good."

The week had come and gone like it was nothing. Contrary to his earlier declarations Vegeta didn't really make a move on Bulma at all. He only kept to himself and continued to train. She had asked him plenty of times if something was wrong but he would always say something rude and tell her to get back to work. She wasn't an idiot; she knew that his behavior had changed right after his father had visited that one day. Regardless she had to move forward with her plan. She had expected bumps along the way but that only meant that she had to find a safer path to reach your destination.

Even though being around Vegeta had become awkward, it was a million times better than being at home. Her parents were super excited. Her mother came to her almost every day with a different sketch of a wedding dress. Her father would look at her and burst into tears at the thought of his baby girl leaving him and having babies. She could barely take it.

But school was the worst. She could tell that the girls secretly hated her due to jealousy, but they already feared her, and the fact that she could become their Queen made them even more afraid. Which that didn't bother her that much, but she felt like people were plotting against her. If she had it her way, they wouldn't see her as Queen until she was already mated. Everyone believed what Kakarot and Chichi said was true since no one denied it. Vegeta was completely uncomfortable. Saiyans girls would all of a sudden show emotion that they never showed before and would burst into tears when he would walk by and the men would say comments like, "I pray your children will be strong."

Vegeta would ignore them or tell them to shut up but everyone was thinking it anyways. Becoming Queen was Bulma's end goal, but knowing that they were going to be broken up in a few days was going to be hell. She had no idea how the students were going to treat her, and that fear of the unknown was eating away at her. And with Vegeta ignoring her and not having a friend in Chichi, left her with no one to talk to. So she put her work and effort into finishing the gravity rooms.

It was now time. With one last tweak of her screw driver she stepped back and admired her work. "It's finished Vegeta." She said as she closed the generator and looked at him. "You can test it out, but only go up to 100."

He nodded and then she stepped out of the GR and into the 5 feet of his actual training room. She watched Vegeta press a button and as expected the red light shown and it hummed to life generating 100x planet Vegeta's gravity. She smiled as he stumbled at first adjusting to the gravity, but then in a moment he was flipping, jumping, and fighting the air like a mad man. A few minutes later he stopped and shut it down. He walked out of it and crossed his arms.

"You have outdone yourself Woman. I will be stronger than my father in no time."

"And by the time the other scientist would have yours built I will have already remotely sent the upgrades to yours. Your father won't ever be a step above you. But speaking of your father, his gravity room will be finished tomorrow morning."

Silence settled between them. After a moment or so it was Vegeta who broke it.

"So it's done." Vegeta said, and they both knew they were talking about more than the gravity room.

Bulma inhaled and exhaled. She had taken a lot of thought into what to do next. Because of Chichi, she felt like she had to speed of the process and she was so nervous, but she knew in order for her plan to work she would have to give him a confession. "You didn't need to try you know."

"Try what?"

"To make me fall for you."

Vegeta narrowed his eyes at her wondering what game she was playing. "Really?"

Bulma saw that he was unsure. Vegeta was an expert at telling lies and recognizing them so once again, being truthful was the only way. Which was hard, because Bulma really hadn't been that honest with herself. "It's really not fair. All the things you've done to me, I should hate you for the rest of my life. But I can't and I don't think I ever will. Whenever I thought I was done with you something would always bring me back to you. Like our very own gravity." Bulma took advantage of the small space they had and placed her hands on either side of his face and stared deeply into his eyes. "I will always be loyal to you Vegeta no matter what. You'll make a great king and I will be honored to-"

Bulma's words ended as Vegeta's lips crashed upon hers. He hadn't kissed or touched her since the day of the interview. He wanted her so badly and the fact that he couldn't have her was driving him insane. He had told himself it was best to ignore her, since he would more than likely never get her out of his system if they did copulate. Part of him wanted to say "Blast all of you, I'm going to see her as much as I want to!" But he knew his father always backed up his threats. He would send Bulma on a ship within minutes if he felt that he was being disobeyed. And he would rather see Bulma a little in passing than not see her at all. But right now, he just wanted her. It was more than likely their last moment together, and he didn't want to forget it.

Bulma, like so many other times was at a loss. Vegeta's hands and mouth felt like they were everywhere and she knew that if she let this go on for too long then she may very well lose that virtue she had been talking about for months.

He did something that felt a little too wonderful and that's when she yelled out, "Vegeta you can't have my body!"

"What?" He said panting and snapping his head up to look into her eyes.

Bulma inhaled a bit to catch her breath. "Look, I promise you will have my devotion, you have my silly Earthling emotions, but I can only give my body to my husband."

Vegeta could tell that Bulma was serious in her declaration and that only angered him the more. He didn't know who this guy was going to be, but all he knew was that he hated him. He stepped away from her and gave her his back.

"Then you should leave. Otherwise you will not keep your precious vow."

Bulma swallowed then gave him the words that no man ever wanted to hear. "Your father didn't say that we couldn't be friends-"

"Saiyans don't have friends."

"What about Raditz and-"

"They are my fighting comrades and nothing more. And unless you have gained a power level that can challenge me then there is no need to associate myself with you."

"Alright, well I guess I'll see you around at school."

"You'll see me, but I won't see you."

Bulma knew he would be angry and also that he would push her away, but she couldn't help the hurt that slammed into her. "Alright bye Vegeta." She didn't wait for a reply and walked out of the room and went straight to hers. She ignored her mother that said something about cakes and went into her room and pressed her body against the door. She felt tears in her eyes but she did her best to not let them fall.

"It's just part of the game. Come on Bulma don't let him get to you. You knew this was going to happen. You're stronger than this." She waved her hands in front of her eyes trying to dry them out. "You don't care about him like that. You don't."

But she knew and her tears did too that she really did.

The Next day at school Bulma was ready. She had made sure to switch her science class so she could move forward with the next part of her plan. She had gotten there early enough to not have to see Vegeta enter the building like he always did. Part of that was so that he could know that she was ignoring him, and the other part was also that she actually was. But she gave a shaky breath as the bell rung and the students piled into the class. No one knew of the break up as of yet but she could tell that everyone was curious as to why Bulma didn't walk in with Vegeta like he was. She ignored the whispers and the rumors and focused on the new task.

She smiled when she saw her next phase to her plan look at her with surprise. She waved for him to come sit next to her which he did. You see both her father and Vegeta thought she was silly to think that she could get the Prince of All Saiyans to fall for her in a short period of time. And she didn't think he would either. No, it's not the things that Vegeta has that drives him crazy, it's the things that he can't have. He didn't end the relationship, his parents did. He wanted her physically but he was told that he couldn't have her. So now it was time to see what he couldn't have in the arms of another man.

"Hey Raditz what's up?"

Author's note: If yall thought Vegeta was jealous before, wait and see how he reacts in the next chapter. Also more plotting from the Queen and the Ox King finally talks to Chichi and Kakarot. And something happens that turns everyone's head. And for fans of cosmic love I'm going to bring in a character that's going to have you biting your nails and possibly hating my guts. Please Review!
