Hello! Quick spat from the Author, been a while i know, but now i have substantially more time on my hands I will be writing more often and updating this story. Even making side stories, and be sure to look out for those! Anyways back to our regularly scheduled love story!
Her warm clawed hands were gripping tight, risking even puncturing my sides with the embrace and the vibrations from her purring. Not to risk getting my outer shell bloodied, i rested my hands on hers and she let go only to put them back but around my neck instead, pulling my head and subsequently face down to hers. I only just managed to pull my hat down and across my face before we were face to face and she whispered to me in that voice of gold, "you really know how to get a girl warm and distracted don'cha?"
Barely able to keep my composure I stammered out, "well on the contrary I believe it was rather ungentlemanlike of me to act out of anger like that.." and suddenly im pulled away from the woman glued to my chest by a rough hand and thrown on my back with enough force it causes me to bounce and slide before coming to a rest on the Dojo floor. Looking to see who my assalet was I raised myself up on one knee to find that rhino had not only recovered but was now charging straight at me with animalistic furry. I was able to stand just before his horn smashed into me and I was thrown into the wall of the dueling arena ribs effectively crushed, as i slid down the wall I dropped myself into the rift to recover quickly.
And before I could regain my breath rhino roars, "You little shit, your little safe space won't protect you when the floor is gone, " he then stomped, sending shock-waves through the floor, upsetting the air pressure under me and making my footing non existent. The shard or twisted metal now sticking up didn't look good and it was even worse once i fell on them, feeling the sharp shards impact my shields only to overpower them and end up deep in my stomach. I knew I needed to act quickly, summoning and raising my revolver, I left the rift and took a shot. The bullet struck home, his neck, the last area that is affected when he activates his iron skin. He quickly grasped at his neck with surprise falling to a knee as his body recovered from the sudden damage in a critical area.
Valkyr View: All I could do was watch as he fought this larger frame off, his safe haven didn't seem to save him from environmental effects such as the ground he stood on. Well at least not ones affected by other frame's powers. They both sat in individual corners of the room, recovering from their wounds when I noticed the other frame holding something close to their chest, it looked to be a… a detonator? That's when I saw it, the explosive connected to my sweet Limbo's back, this will not stand, a rage filled me, the shackles unlatched to not be overloaded and my claws outstretched, and with that I pounced. I landed on him with force, digging my claws into his back, and he didn't seem to even flinch, so i gave him a reason to flinch, raking my claws down his back over and over, faster and faster till there was a cloud of red from his blood as the defenses he had began to wear down and he began to twist and try to grab me. With each attempted grab I clawed open another weakness. His movement slowed then stopped. His body hitting the floor and him barely clinging onto life. I almost finished him off but someone grabbed my hand, half expecting another assalent, I twisted around in anger, but was only him, my sweet protector, he was safe and i was happy, my claws powered down and the power cuffs re-activated, giving my a rush of tiredness I can only describe as a sudden weight and desire to sleep, a side effect of Vlad's experiments. The feeling was strong and even overpowering. And quickly everything faded to black.
Limbo View: Her sudden loss of consciousness was definitely an unwelcome event as I wasn't expecting the weight, I almost went down with her. Quickly I picked her up proper to bring back to her quarters to rest off the anger and energy surge she had experienced from witnessing me in a tight spot, I will have to go to greater lengths to be sure she doesn't have to witness it again. Rhino would recover on the dojo floor, the base's auto heal system would see to that his wounds and my own wounds not be fatal. The hall was short to the room where i laid her down to rest. Until she would wake i was going to set up a task force to get rid of and dispose of the filth that was Alad V. For his crimes against such a beautiful and innocent girl as my Valkyr, it makes a man angry just thinking about it. I would send Ash and a few of the more sadistic of my companions to deal with him.
End of chapter 4, sorry for the short one, I've got a side story brewing, and my better work is inspiration based and i only have so much at each given time.
