Hey everyone! So i'd been getting a lot of messages asking if i was going to continue this story or not, i know it's been almost a year but i've only just found the time to write. I also felt like i should only continue the story if i was to come up with a story line worth writing, which i think I've finally done!

I know this new chapter is quite short but i didn't want to give too much away too early.

But anyway i hope you enjoy and as always i'm open to all feedback!

A distraught Wally knelt with his face in his hands. After all the inconceivable events that had just occurred it was almost strange for the team of young heroes to bear witness to all that was left before them, a grief-stricken teenager.

It only seemed right that Robin be the one to walk across the mountain top bunker and console his friend, no matter how much Artemis wanted to run over and hold him. It seemed neither would get the chance. Wally's head rose, a face full of sorrow gradually turned into something darker. It was what could only be described as rage, something generally unseen in Wally. In that moment it was clear something unnatural was occurring. His pupils seemed to turn a dark shade of black which quickly consumed the rest of his eyes. This was Artemis' breaking point, "Wally!" She got up to run to her team mate but in a split second he was gone.

6 months later

Connor was woken up by the faint sound of someone moving around in the gym. He took a quick glance at his bed side clock which told him it was 3 am in the morning. "oh no, not again," he murmured to himself. In a moment he had gotten out of bed and thrown on some pants and his trademark T shirt. The half Kryptonian wiped his tired eyes as he walked to the end of the cave's main corridor and into the gym. He shouldn't have been surprised to find Artemis ruthlessly attacking a punching bag in the center of the room. Her hair was tied in a bun and her eyes were puffy as usual. Connor sighed; it was the third time this week he had found her taking out her frustration at all hours of the night. He made his way over to the archer and grabbed her wrists. After a moment of resistance, he then let go and wrapped his arms around her. She lay her head on his shoulder, once again starting to cry. "I don't know if I can do this anymore," she sobbed. Superboy hugged her tighter, "It's alright Artemis, it'll get easier."

Zatanna approached the door to the computer room with a plate of freshly baked cookies in her hand.

"knock, knock," the magician said as she opened the door.

Robin had barely left the room ever since Wally's disappearance. He felt like just when all his hard work had paid off, he had once again lost his best friend and this time without a trace. It seemed all the angles he had taken to find Wally over the past months had come to dead ends, leaving the boy wonder disgruntled.

A worse for wear Robin looked back at Zatanna, a smile came across his face despite his clouded eyes and the bags underneath them, "what's up Zee?"

"I thought maybe you could take a break for a while; we could watch a movie and eat snacks? I know this is your first priority but I think you need it… and I think I need it." Zatanna's voice began to tremble, "we all miss him Rob, but we also need you to help us get through this."

Robin couldn't bare to see the girl he adored like this, "You're right Zee, I'm sorry. A movie sounds like a great idea."

Black Canary jotted something down on her clipboard, "and do you think you've made any progress in terms of lifting the team's spirits?"

Aqualad felt uneasy being questioned by canary, like his emotions had swayed in a time when he was supposed to be the team's anchor. "I'm afraid not," he replied, "It seems Kid flash's presence on this team was invaluable. You'll have to excuse my informality but I am worried for my team mates, I fear they may be in a state of disrepair.

"what do you mean by that?" Asked Canary.

"I cannot speak for the others, but you cannot tell me the way Robin and Artemis are coping with this is healthy."

Batman stood in the central quarters of the watchtower, "Flash, come over here and look at this." In a second the flash joined Batman in front of an enormous screen. The dark knight pressed play on a video which seemed to show a piece of kryptonite vanishing from a laboratory. "This was taken by a security camera at STAR labs yesterday," Batman added, "do you think there's anything that could move fast enough to steal it?" The Flash inspected the footage closely, moving between the frames in which the kryptonite was there and then was gone. "It's day time when this was filmed bats, something would have to be moving faster than the speed of light to avoid being seen on this camera."

"You're right," replied Batman, "I'll have to explore other possibilities."
