As they once again approached the back gate to Area 51, everyone was practically on tenterhooks with worry that the mission would fail before it even got started. The tension inside the pickup truck was stifling.

"Are ye usin' the Emulator?" Jaime asked her bond-mate.

"Yep!" A tense J.D replied.

"Katie?" Jaime checked next.

"My Shimmer is on perception mode," Katie answered her. "They won't see me."

As they drove up to the first gate they watched as it rose up.

"So far, so good." They heard the Tenth Doctor comment as they set foot inside the perimeter of Area 51 and drove up to the second gate.

The soldier stepped out of the hut and walked over to the Raptor. He saw the window wind down before leaning on the car with one of his hands. 'Everything looks normal'. His subconscious told him before he looked into the vehicle. All he saw was his two colleagues in Camo and nothing unusual…or at least he thought so. "Back a bit early," he said. "What happened? Because we lost you on the GPS tracker."

"Entire equipment went down," his colleague replied, sounding odd. "Must be the same that happened Stateside earlier. We're just coming back to get it fixed."

Frowning, the soldier thought he saw movement and poked his head further into the vehicle. Maybe it was a fly, but something didn't sit right with him. Everything looked off. 'Open the gate and think nothing more of it.' His subconscious suddenly told him and with several blinks of his eyes he pulled back. "Okay." He said, moved to the gate, raised it and watched as the Raptor passed by. Then he dropped the gate and returned to the hut.

Katie let out a breath, followed by a nervous chuckle. "I can't believe we actually got through," she commented, almost breathless. Then she turned her attention to Jaime. "Nice touch with the American accent, she said to the Scots-girl. "But how did you do that with your voice?" When she'd spoken to the 'Camo Dude', her voice had completely changed to sound male.

"I have my ways." Jaime replied with a hint of a smirk on her face.

"Don't get too cocky," the Twelfth Doctor commented over the comms. "You've still got to find Delta and the others."

Jaime rolled her eyes and watched as the landscape passed them by on the very long road. She had very little time to be 'cocky'. Her danger senses were still sky high leaving her very tense and tightly wound like a coiled spring. Even J.D could feel how tense she was.

"I don't think anyone is being cocky here," the Half-Time Lord replied. "We all know the risks we're taking here." He sensed the spike of danger and saw Jaime stiffen up out of the corner of his eye before a second hand vision hit him, almost making him crash the vehicle. He grunted but continued driving along the road.

Katie frowned at him worriedly. "Are you okay?" She asked him.

"Yep!" J.D quickly replied, popping the 'p', and glanced at Jaime. "Are we good?" He asked her. "Is it okay to proceed?"

Still worried, Katie now looked from one to the other.

"Aye," Jaime replied. "All sorted out."

J.D nodded, satisfied with the answer.

"What's going on?" The Tenth Doctor asked, sounding panicked. "What's happening?" There was even more worried voices from everyone else in the TARDIS.

"Dinnae fash yersel', dad. It's all sorted." Jaime heard Katie gasp beside her and Cena did the same in the TARDIS, and it made her wonder why they would react that way.

"Now you really do remind me of Kate," Ed spoke up. "Because she says that all the time."

J.D chuckled when he sensed sheepish embarrassment from Jaime. Face red, the Scots-girl had never said it before, only it had come to Mind quite randomly.

Up ahead, Katie could see dust being kicked up as a vehicle moved towards them and it made her wonder if this was the danger they'd felt. Then they watched as, not one, but four other vehicles passed them by. "Those trucks were full of soldiers." Katie commented, glancing back out of the back window as they rumbled away.

"Riots broken out in Vegas and Reno," Jaime replied. "Handy for us as they'll be less soldiers tae bother us."

Katie furrowed her brows at Jaime. "You had a feeling or sensed danger earlier, didn't you?" She asked. "Or you saw something. Because that's how Delta normally reacts."

"I'm feelin' all sorts of stuff right now," Jaime told her. "And it's keepin' us safe."

The rest of the drive was mostly quiet and by the time they made it to Homey Airport it was late afternoon and the sky was turning pinky orange.

"We're beginning to lose the light," J.D said, glancing out of the window as he found somewhere to park. "We might not have much more time."

But Jaime shook her head. "Nah, darkness is perfect. We'll have plenty of time." She turned in her seat to face Katie and J.D. "I need you two tae find out where they get their power from, blow it up if ye want."

J.D grinned but it looked grim. Then that was wiped off his face as Jaime pulled a gun out of her pocket.

"Relax. It's clearly a phaser of some kind," she said to her bond-mate and fiddled with it. "I've set it on stun," she gave it to Katie. "Only use it when you feel ye need too."

The young wrestler muttered a quiet thanks as she took the gun. The sounds of disapproval was ignored by Jaime and J.D.

"What are you going to do?" J.D asked her, only to receive a roll of her eyes.

"I'm goin' tae find where they're hidin' their prisoners, obviously!" Jaime replied sarcastically before all three exited the Raptor.

They walked towards several buildings before stopping to let a vehicle pass them by. No-one had taken any notice of them, which was a good thing.

"I need tae do a scan." The Omni said and let down some shields. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, she stretched her Mind out towards a wider area, all sorts of emotions and feelings hitting her one by one. There was a grunt from beside her as the Half-Time Lord felt what Jaime was feeling through their TARDIS-like connection, so she reached out and held him steady. There was over a hundred Minds scattered around the airport facility and not all of them were good. However, she did find a large cluster of electricity, followed by what felt like a blank spot. Frowning, she tried her best to penetrate it with her Mind, but it just wasn't budging. It was very odd and she wondered if it could be the prison that was holding Delta and the others.

Once her shields were raised back up, Jaime turned her attention to J.D and Katie. "There is a Power Station over there," she said, pointing past several barracks ahead of her. "And I think I might have found the prison, though I think it might be bein' inhibited." She explained.

"How can you tell?" A puzzled Katie asked.

"I jus' can," The Omni bit out. "Now go and do some damage already!"

Now that Jaime would be going to the prison, J.D pulled her into a hug. "Keep safe," he told her. "I love you."

"And I love you!" Jaime replied with a hint of a grin, then they kissed.

From inside the TARDIS there was various noises of annoyance or happy noises, but they chuckled when they heard retching sounds from Missy.

"Go on already!" Jaime pushed away, her face blushing. "Do yer worst."

J.D chuckled again. "Will do!" He replied and he and Katie hurried off towards the Power Station.

Meanwhile, Jaime Aeroported towards the blank spot that was most likely the prison. As soon as she reappeared near a building a bit bigger than the others, Jaime's senses went haywire and she groaned out, almost stumbling over.

"I felt that!" J.D spoke over the comms. "Are you okay?" He asked. This was followed by more sounds of worry from inside the TARDIS.

"Och, aye, dinnae worry 'bout me," Jaime replied to the Half-Time Lord. "This is definitely the place. It's got me on edge. Everythin' 'bout it feels bad." As she decided to take a walk around the building in order to find the door, the Tenth Doctor spoke up.

"Be careful, Jaime," he warned. "If they are using inhibiting technology then it's very possible you'll be inhibited too."

Jaime grimaced at the thought of this and what it meant for her. "Aye," I'm very aware of tha' possibility." She replied.

She heard her mother ask what the problem was and Rose told her that when inhibited, and despite being a Second incarnation, Jaime's bones would revert back to their brittle nature.

"Oh god!" Alexia muttered in realisation, making Jaime wince. The use of a religious figure was a tad unusual for her mother, so she knew it was a really bad situation. "Are you sure you want to do this?" She asked.

The Scots-girl rolled her eyes. "It's a Paradox, mother," she growled out. "So yes, I want tae do this."

As she turned a corner she ended up bumping into somebody and he went tumbling to the floor rather harshly with a pained cry. There was a tense silence in the TARDIS while alarm bells rang for Jaime. She was still invisible but the good thing was that nobody else was watching. Once she quickly became visible she put her acting skills to test.

"Oh, shoot!" She exclaimed with a heavy Texan accent that made her sound dumb and hick-like. "I'm so sorry, my bad!" She reached down to help the young man up. "I wasn't looking where I was going!" She held onto his hand a little longer, pushing waves of trust into him, before letting him go.

"Owww, holy shit!" The young soldier complained, rubbing the area where he hurt the most. "Do you work out? Felt like I hit a brick wall!" He complained.

Jaime smiled sheepishly. "Oh, all the time!" She replied.

The soldier narrowed his eyes and stared at Jaime. "I've not seen you around here before." He said.

Her smile turned grim. "Recently recruited," she explained. "Supposed to be working in the prison today."

The young soldier chuckled at this. "No. We don't call it a prison," he told Jaime. "The actual name for it is the 'Permanent Residence Facility'."

Jaime grimaced when Ed loudly shouted several angry insulting words. She couldn't tell him to keep his voice down in front of the soldier. "Oh, I didn't know that." She replied. "All I was told was I would be working in the prison."

The soldier frowned, confusion washing off him. "Are you sure about that?" He asked suspiciously. "We all should know to call it by its proper name."

Jaime gulped while listening to the panicking from inside the TARDIS. "Very much so," she quickly replied, voice echoing. "This is what I was told."

The soldier blinked his eyes and looked a tad disorientated before smiling. "Okay, no bother," he said before becoming serious again. "I noticed you haven't got your I.D on you. You'll need it to get into the facility." The soldier told her. "What's your name?"

"I already told you my name," the Scots-girl's voice one again echoed. "And I can just use your I.D," she glanced at the name on his I.D. "Private FitzGerald."

The Private smiled dumbly and nodded his head. "Okay, no problem. Follow me." He turned away and Jaime followed him.

"Nicely handled," the Twelfth Doctor spoke up. "I take it you're using some form of verbal Mind Control?" He asked.

Jaime had to slightly nod her head, yet Rose was happy enough to explain all this to the older Doctor.

Jaime followed the Private to the door of the prison and watched as he swiped his I.D on the panel next to the door. It clicked open with a beep and they both walked inside. But as soon as they entered the building, Jaime felt herself become even more tense and her danger senses had her so far on edge she was practically jumping at every movement she could see.

"Keep it together, Jaime." J.D spoke over the comms.

If only she could. All her shields were up at their maximum level, yet it felt like she was being battered from all sides.

Meanwhile FitzGerald was speaking. "…Here we have the room where we relax when we're not on duty," he explained. There were a couple of soldiers sat in front of the TV playing on some sort of console game involving guns and war. Probably that cod game she'd often hear other kids refer to back in her old universe. They were far too busy playing their game to even notice the new arrival.

"Typical bloody jar heads," Ed spat angrily, making Jaime wince. "All they ever think about is blood and warfare."

FitzGerald moved on and showed her the kitchen. "This is where we make all our meals." He said. This time there was only one other person in there and they appeared to be making a sandwich. This one was a female with copper coloured hair tied up in a bun.

She looked around with a smile, noticing Jaime. "Who's the rookie?" She asked.

"Hey, Sarge, this is…" FitzGerald frowned before turning to Jaime. "What did you say your name was again?" He asked and a wave of suspicion came from the female soldier.

"Tell him it's Benjamin." Alexia quickly spoke with a suggestion.

Cena furrowed his brow. "Why Benjamin?" He asked.

Alexia smiled at his question. "Because it was a funny movie." She replied.

The Tenth Doctor just shook his head.

"Benjamin," Jaime replied, voice echoing. "Private Benjamin."

The two soldiers nodded their heads, believing her. "…well, this is Benjamin, new recruit on base and she's been assigned to the Facility."

The female soldier let out a grunt. "New recruit and you've already been assigned to Permanent Residence? No, that can't be right."

Smiling grimly, Jaime found these people annoying but carried on regardless. "It was Colonel Kowalski's idea," she spoke, taking the name from the female soldiers head. "He assigned me to this place!"

"Ohh, alright, keep your hair on," the female…Beth…laughed. "I believe you, Milk Bottle."

There was a stunned silence in the TARDIS. "What did she just say?" A shocked Alexia exclaimed.

"I think she's just been given a nickname." Cena replied.

"You best get to work then." Beth added before picking up her plate of sandwiches and exited the kitchen.

Shortly after that the short tour of the facilities ended at the lift. "So, are you ready to get a look at the 'Big House of Horrors'?" FitzGerald joked with a shit eating grin on his face.

Jaime didn't particularly find this very funny and she felt herself become angry. So angry the air around her was warming up.

"Jaime, you've got to calm down," OmniVerse Jenny spoke to her sister. "You can fly off the handle later, but not right now!" Despite their disgust for the soldier, everyone agreed with Jenny.

A big smile appeared on Jaime's face and she hoped she would be able to sort him out later. "Yes," she replied, continuing to use her Texan accent. "Go on then!"

This prompted FitzGerald to use his keycard on the lift panel. It beeped and then the lift doors sprang open. They walked inside and Jaime watched as he pressed a button that had 'LB12' written on it.

"Basement 12?" Christopher commented. "That's surely got to be hundreds of miles underground!"

It was a bit of an exaggeration so Jaime decided to ask. "How far underground are we going?" She asked FitzGerald.

"Ohh, ten miles," the soldier replied. "Very deep, and away from the prying eyes of the public."

Jaime glared at the Private. 'Out of public eyes', as if these imprisoned people were America's dirty secret. And it seemed she wasn't the only one to have that on their Mind.

"Oh, yeah, just like they've hidden all those other facilities away from prying eyes of the public." Ed growled, scowling at the monitor screen. "Home of the brave? Land of the free? What utter fucking tripe!"

Arms folded as he leaned against the railing, Cena briefly glanced at the MI5 officer, in two Minds about the whole situation. Yes, he loved his Country, but he hated what was happening to his Country, what had already happened, ever since Trump had become President. There wasn't much he could do, short of exposing himself as a 'race traitor' or an 'E.T sympathiser'. He watched as the DeltaVerse Jenny stepped up beside Ed and rubbed his back in comfort.

"Ten miles is a long way down," the Twelfth Doctor commented. "But I know that is no match for the Old Girl."

"Unless their so-called prison has been TARDIS proofed." Ten added, thinking of the time he once tried to get into UNIT's Black Archive. For some reason most of that memory was a fuzzy blur.

The Twelfth Doctor gave him an annoyed scowl and was about to reprimand his parallel self until he heard a gasp from Alexia.

"What's happening to the screen?" She asked, a tad panicked. "Why is it going all fuzzy?"

The two Doctors turned to the screen with wide eyes, then the Twelfth cried out before hurrying over the the monitor to adjust the screen. Unfortunately nothing seemed to work to stop the ever increasing fuzziness on the screen. "It's not the monitor, the issue is on Jaime's end." Twelve said, watching as Jaime's side of the screen went completely fuzzy.

"Have we lost her?" A wide-eyed, panicked Alexia queried.

No-one seemed to know what to do, but on the other side of the screen Katie and J.D had found their way into Area 51's Power Station. "Try speaking to her," J.D told them. "She says she can still hear you."

Twelve frowned, his impressive attack brows furrowed. "Then if that's the case…" He turned his attention back to the monitor. "Jaime, visual has gone down, but if you can still hear us…ask him a question."

Jaime rolled her eyes as she heard groans from inside the TARDIS. How was she meant to come up with a question on the hop? "Hey, have you ever heard of The Doctor?" Jaime asked FitzGerald. She heard further groaning from inside the Time Machine.

"Yeah, we can definitely still hear you, but that is not what I meant!" Twelve stated.

FitzGerald looked over at the Scots-girl with furrowed brows. "The Doctor?" He replied. "What do you know about him?" The soldier counter-questioned.

"Well…" She mumbled before coming to a halt. She had to be careful what she said, but she also had to think fast.

"Be vague as possible," Ed told her over the comms. "Say very little, but give them enough info to chew on. The whole point of infiltration is not to raise suspicions." All the Time Travellers and one recently in the know human were looking at him oddly. "What? That's part of my job." He defended.

"Great advice." Cena commented with a grin.

Jaime took a deep breath before continuing. "…for all I know he may well be a myth, like the Chupacabra, the Sasquatch or even…the Higgins Lake Monster," she gleaned the last one from his Mind and he frowned in reply. "Though I have heard of rumours he was involved in events such as the time when we had all those planets in the sky, or those Cube things…" She felt a wave of sadness from him, but it was beginning to stutter. "Or even the time trees covered the entire planet…"

FitzGerald grunted a disagreement and shook his head. "Myth or legend or rumour I don't particularly care, that man is not human. Hell, he isn't even a man, he's a thing, an it, an alien!"

Jaime somehow managed to keep her temper in check. Yes, he was talking mostly about this Universe's Doctor, but that was her dad he was badmouthing!

"And yet this alien has gained Presidency over our entire World. And because of that we aren't allowed to capture him. Don't you think that's wrong?"

Jaime just grunted non-commitedly.

"Wow! What's with the attitude?" DeltaVerse Jenny uttered. "It's almost as if he has a grudge against you." She said to her dad.

"He's angry," Rose spoke up, staring at the fuzzy part of the monitor. "Lashing out at anyone who he thinks he can blame."

"You got all that through a monitor?" DeltaVerse Jenny asked her.

Rose looked up at her with a sad smile and nodded before looking back at the monitor. "Ask him who he lost." She spoke to Jaime.

Once again the Scots-girl rolled her eyes and thought of a way to ask a personal question. "Jeeze, wish I'd never mentioned that Doctor now," she muttered sadly. "What's put a bee in your bonnet?" She then asked.

FitzGerald sighed. "Sorry," he replied. "My mom was killed by one of those Dalek things, then years later my papa was attacked by one of those black Cube things. He had a heart attack."

There was a sad silence from the TARDIS crew.

"If that alien was involved in any of those incidents I'd certainly want him to own up and take responsibility for causing so much trouble." FitzGerald continued to rant.

Jaime seethed angrily at the American soldier, while the Twelfth Doctor let out a huff of annoyance.

Rose looked over at her Doctor when she felt a bout of guilt from him. This version of him always seemed to blame himself when he shouldn't. She moved closer to the Tenth Doctor and took a hold of his hand. He practically jumped in shock and looked back at Rose with a strained looking smile. "None of this is your fault," Rose told her Doctor. "Especially not I this Universe, so don't take the blame!" Ten smiled at her, though it was still strained and he wanted to tell her that this Universe was very similar to their own.

That was until he heard a 'ding' over the monitor, followed by the sound of the life doors opening. "Here we go," they heard FitzGerald speak. "The residents floor."
