The silence went deafening as the ladies waited for a drop. Cora cleaned on the counter. Emma tried to find something to distract her but she had no words to say about her dropout from New York University. Yes, Emma loved her college but regretted about receiving her degree at the first. But it was her lack of good reason that she dropped out without informing her sponsor. Emma knew that Cora wanted to help her out with her future and secure it for the best.

The blonde woman anxiously glanced up at Cora and scratched her ear. Cora turned around to load the food away in the fridge. Emma tilted her head before put her plate in a sink. All she can hear was Mary Margaret singing in the hallway from the kitchen door. Neal's loud voice was heard from the man cave. Henry's laughter sent in a roar. It left Emma no choice to tell Cora what happened.

"I dropped out because of a wrongful conviction that I was mistaken for a blonde woman who stole the diamond necklace from Tiffany Co. I almost lost my home and the Social Services planned to take Henry away from me. I cannot keep doing that because of Henry. So, I sent them a truth that I didn't steal it. The police believed in me and decided to keep my son and I to be hidden from the news and all of that. They forced me to drop out from the university. I am sorry for not informing you. I tried to contact you but I cannot."

"Oh my gosh. How long did they hide you?" Cora exclaimed with an empathy. Emma shrugged before sighing with a short explanation.

"Not long until I changed my last name and Henry when we moved in California."

"Did they arrest that woman?"

"Yes, it was right after I found a place to live. The police informed me that she stole my identity information as long as I stayed in New York City. It made me pissed off when it happened. So, that's why I changed my last name and everything else included my son's name." The golden-haired actress replied. Cora nodded in understanding and patted Emma's back.

"Thank you for an honest answer. I was worried about you before all happened. I called Regina about it long time ago. I'm sorry that it happened."

"Nah, it went away for good." Emma shrugged with a small smile. Cora nodded with a smile before pecking on her forehead.

"So, tell me what your plans for getting married to my daughter?"

It went baffled on Emma after she whipped her head to stare after Cora's mischievously grin. The golden-haired woman stifled her chuckle before looking out for her mother returning but it didn't.

"Come on, I know you and Regina had been through those wonderful and ridiculous times together. So, I think that everyone in this town already know that you and Regina hopelessly were in love with each other since the beginning. How dare you if you stop me. Tell me, have you been thinking about a marriage?" The matriarch of the Mills family pointed a knife toward Emma with her raised eyebrow.

Emma widened her eyes and gulped. She found herself speechless but hadn't started to think about her old times with Regina since the first day. Cora slowly grinned and nodded to herself because she knew that she got a great point about the marriage to her daughter. She felt that she knew that it was this time to beat the bush toward Emma.

"Ummm… wait a minute! You said that EVERYONE knew about our relationship!?" Emma blurted it out but her mind didn't make sense at all. Cora roared in a laughter.

"Yes, my dear. Everyone in Storybrooke always suspected that way since you and Regina were inseparable. Some idiots betted on you both for whether they thought that you would end up getting married before leaving this town. They were incorrect but some are correct about your return after ten years. Oh no. I just thought of it and I owe Granny Lucas $500 for this shit bet." The oldest woman groaned at thinking about her losing bet to Granny Lucas.

"Have everyone betted on our life? How dare everyone do that?" Emma murmured to herself and growled. Cora shook her head before asking her.

"Have you been thinking about a marriage?"

"I haven't had a thought about it but it was a long time ago before I left town for good." Emma explained before sighing.

"You have. Then who?"

"Of course, your daughter Regina. I have been hopelessly in love with her since we first met. You know… our first day together. I have felt that way when I found her and just knew that she was the one in rest of my life. No ridiculous things such as the fantasies."

"Why haven't you asked her to come with you for leaving this town?" Neal appeared up in the kitchen to catch a whiff of a conversation between the ladies and asked his oldest sister. Emma turned her head over her shoulder and Cora glanced up at the brown-haired man with a sad smile and nodded toward the sandwiches she made for them. Neal nodded in thanks and gathered few sandwiches.

"It went so quick as I panicked. Not long after your high school graduation, I have been thinking about asking her to come with me but we got in a whiff of love in our life and it just left there as I rushed myself to leave the town. I hadn't been reflecting back for the years." Emma juggled with some words but thought of that night before she got pregnant.

"Wait a minute, you got pregnant with Henry right after you had a sex with Regina? That explains a lot." Neal just understood. Emma blushed with a nod. Cora raised her eyebrows at the vivid night with her daughter and Emma before asking curiously.

"That night, you had a thing with her and please tell me that you hadn't used a condom while you were at it?"

Emma blushed once more and shook her head. Neal grimaced before leaving the kitchen. Cora just went speechless. The golden-haired woman looked down at her plate and silently ate her last bite of sandwiches. The matriarch of the Mills family threw her hands up in the air and left the kitchen with her slacked face.

A/N: Emma is embarrassing enough? HAHA.
