"The Vampire's Wrath"
Chapter 1
Valentine's Day when you're in a relationship it can be fun but when your single the holiday is just stupid and annoying. At least I was off work today from the edgy clothing store so I could do what I want. Since I was done with my library books I decided to brave the freezing cold winter air and go to the library. Once I arrived there I returned my books and walked to the young adult area to find new books to check out. I am twenty four years old but I still enjoy young adult books more the ones more suited to adults. I also enjoy manga too. I don't know if I am considered an otaku but I don't care I love anime and manga and I am proud of it. Anyways, I picked out some manga then went to the back towards the new books shelf. I noticed an interesting book on the top shelf. I looked around for a step stool but could not find one. I sighed.
"I hate being short" I thought.
"Do you need help?" An English accented voice asked. I looked over and saw a man in a blue pinstriped suit, red tie, and red shoes. He had black framed glasses on, short brown hair, and he was handsome. You could get lost in his brown eyes. I blushed than remembered what I was doing.
'Yes, could you please get that book down for me?" I asked.
"Of course." He said.
He reached up and brought down the book and handed it to me.
"Thank you." I said trying not to blush.
"You're welcome." He said.
There was a moment of awkward silence. When he asked, "Are you a regular patron?"
"Yes, Who are you?" I asked curiously.
"John Smith. I am a new librarian." he said holding out his hand. I shook it.
"Nice to meet you John my name is Iris Stone" I said.
"Nice to meet you Iris I love your light pink hair." he said.
"Thank you." I said
"You're welcome." He said.
"Are you ready to check out?' He asked.
"Yes." I said.
"Good I can check you out. Your books I mean of course." He said flustered blushing.
"Does he think I am cute?" I thought shocked. I started blushing.
We went up to the desk and he checked out my books. He handed them back to me.
"Here you go." He said.
"Thank you." I said. He looked at me.
"Would you like to go on a date tonight?" He asked. I blushed.
"Yes." I said shyly.
"Good see you at the cafe tonight." He said.
"See you then." I said blushing. Then I left the library excited.
"I have a date tonight!" I thought excited to go.
However, John had some dark secrets that I never could have imagined.
