"Amaya," called a voice from behind the doorway.
The ravenette looked at the open door to see Katsu standing there. She too didn't look happy. There was a part of her that seemed upset. But upset over what? Her cousin acting out of place? Or something else?
"What do you think you're doing," the older Suzuki asked, her dark gaze watching carefully.
"Well, I…," began Amaya, before being interrupted by Katsu shaking her head.
"Let's leave the two of them be, Amaya," the brunette told the ravenette as she walked up the stairs to stand next to her.
"But…" Amaya wasn't able to say anything else since Katsu grabbed her by the arm and began to drag the blonde-streaked, black-haired pureblood back to her own bedroom.
Once they were down the hallway and had arrived at the room, the brunette shut the bedroom door behind them before letting her cousin go from her tight grasp.
The ravenette stared at her cousin, slight anger in her eyes. "What the heck, Katsu," the ravenette almost yelled as she walked away from her cousin's side, "What is going on?"
"Didn't Zero tell you that it wasn't your business," the brunette asked her, avoiding the questions Amaya was throwing her way.
"Yes, he did, but…," Amaya began, but was cut off by the other shaking her head.
"Can you trust me on this and not try to get yourself involved in their conversation at the moment," Katsu asked.
Amaya became quiet for several long moments. "What are they talking about," the ravenette asked suddenly after a long pause.
"Something only the two of them could talk about. It's best if you just stay here."
Amaya sighed softly to herself as she sat down on the bed. So basically, she couldn't do anything, not without her cousin getting quite mad at her.
A loud and sudden noise rang out throughout the entire dormitories. Amaya stood up from the bed, her eyes completely confused. Then her questions were answered. She could feel a very dark presence growing from Kaname's room.
"Katsu, something is going on over there," Amaya yelled, "Let me go!"
Katsu shook her head, "I don't think so, it's too danger…"
"I can take care of myself," Amaya yelled as she interrupted her cousin's statement. Another noise, much like a growl of some kind, rang out again from the same direction as the dark presence. The ravenette was about to move forward, but a headache came quickly. It was worse than before. So much worse that it made Amaya faint almost immediately. Her body began to fall to the floor like a lifeless doll; weak and unmoving.
Katsu went to her side as quickly as she could. The brunette was able to catch the girl before she hurt herself. The ravenette felt like a heavy weight since she was unable to move.
Damm, is it really happening this early, Katsu thought to herself as she placed the girl on the bed. It was going to be a long night.
Zero hesitated in the doorway of Kaname Kuran's dorm room. He was basically going to enter the lion's den.
"What's wrong, Kiryu," Kaname asked mocking the silver-haired disciplinary committee member just a bit.
"Nothing, Kuran," Zero replied as he walked into the room.
"Why don't you take a seat," Kaname suggested as he motioned to a chair.
"Tell me," Zero began, instead of listening to Kaname's suggestion, "Did you kill Shizuka Hio?"
Kaname looked out the bedroom window, staring at the night sky. His dark red eyes narrowed as he stared. "What are you talking about," the pureblood prince questioned.
"Katsu told me," the former human argued, "She told me that it was you and I want to know why you did that."
"She was threatening someone I care for." The pureblood prince looked over at his shoulder; his eyes turning a bright red color. "Now that I think about it, you hurt her too," Kaname continued, "Should I destroy another threat?"
The pureblood prince suddenly rushed at the former human once he had finished speaking. The silver-haired vampire pulled out his gun just in time to point it at the brown-haired pureblood's head. Kaname had his hand around Zero's neck, ready to choke him if needed. His eyes had changed back to their original color. Most likely he had gotten control over his anger.
"What are you talking about," Zero whispered, "Her? Who are you talking about?"
Kaname pushed the former human harder into the wall, forcing the wall to suddenly collapse. The vampire hunter fell to the floor of a bathroom with a loud crash with the pureblood prince leaning down over him. The silver-haired former human had been able to scratch the pureblood on his head with the edge of a bullet he had shot out. As the blood ran down Kaname's head, Zero's eyes changed to a bright red.
"I can smell Katsu's scent on you," the pureblood prince told him, "I'm amazed you're still blood lusting… And that Amaya hadn't smelled Katsu's scent on you at all. Or at least she made it seem that way. She was protective over that woman."
"Amaya," Zero questioned, breathing hard now. He was trying to get control over his blood lust, losing slightly as the second went by. "What… About… That pureblood?"
"In due time, you will know," Kaname replied as he released the man. He turned and walked away from the vampire hunter, disgusted.
Zero stared at him as he waited for his blood lust to be over. Once he felt it pass over, he got up from the floor. "What are you talking about, Kuran," asked the former human.
Kaname didn't answer him. He just looked out the window.
Zero growled under his breath about a stubborn pureblood before leaving.
What on earth would Amaya mean to the Kuran pureblood?
The silver-haired hunter had to wonder about that as he walked to the front door. The girl was small and fragile now. She was nothing like the vampire hunter he had once heard she was. There was really nothing special about her now when Zero really thought about it. He shook his head, quickly forgetting about the small pureblood.
Kaname quickly walked down the hallway to Amaya's bedroom. From earlier, it seemed as though she was very confused. He had to explain something, anything if he really could. The pureblood prince stood in front of the Suzuki pureblood's bedroom door in no time at all. His right hand came up and touched the dried blood on his head. Kaname gave a small sigh as he thought about how he should have wiped the blood off his head before he got there. He took his hand off his head and knocked softly on Amaya's bedroom door.
"Hold on," came a voice from the other side of the door. It was Katsu's voice, not Amaya's. The door opened and the brunette stood on the other side of it.
"Oh," Katsu stated softly, "Get in, quickly."
Kaname walked into the room immediately after she had spoken.
Katsu closed the door behind him, locking it before she finally turned to face the pureblood prince's back. He was looking at the bed, not taking another step towards it. Amaya was laying on top of it, shaking here and there. She wasn't shaking because it was cold. It was something else entirely.
"It's already started," Kaname stated.
"It seems so," Katsu commented as she placed her back against the door, "I thought she would have hung on a little longer, just enough until he got here, but I guess not."
Kaname gave a small sigh as he walked over to the bedside. "He already is here," the pureblood prince told her.
"What," the brunette asked.
Walking towards the Moon dormitory gate, a young man with maroon-colored hair. He was dressed in a Night Class uniform underneath a gray-colored trench coat. His eyes were two different colors: one was red and one was blue. Behind him was a blonde-haired young man with green-colored eyes. He was dressed in a tan trench coat. It was Senri and Takuma. Well, it was more like Rido and Takuma since Rido took over Senri's body.
"We should probably go talk to Kaname before we head to bed," Takuma stated.
"Are you telling me what I should do, Takuma," Rido asked, a small smirk appearing on his son's face as he looked over his shoulder at the blonde-haired aristocrat.
"No, I'm just simply stating what would be the best way to handle the situation at the moment," Takuma stated calmly.
Rido's smirk grew a little for just a moment as he turned back to the Moon dormitories. "So, she's up there," the revived pureblood stated, "Good, I get to see her once again."
"By any chance, which she are you speaking of," Takuma suddenly asked.
"The little girl from long ago I tried to force her past back into her by biting her," Rido replied, "The true Princess of Darkness. His Princess of Darkness."
"Princess of Darkness?"
The ravenette continued to shake for a little while longer before finally falling silent of any actions. Kaname placed his right hand against her right cheek, his palm facing away from her. He could feel her skin go cold. "Place as many blankets as you can over her," the pureblood prince told Katsu, "And if you have to, lay next to her. She needs some warmth."
"And why would I do that," the brunette asked, her red eyes narrowed slightly.
"If you don't, it will only prolong these shivers for a few more days at most," Kaname explained as calmly as he could.
"Alright, fine," Katsu sighed out in agreement, "You should probably go greet him. I will be there in a little while."
"I said you should stay here," Kaname told her harshly.
Silence broke out between the two of them.
"Fine," Katsu agreed again.
The pureblood prince turned and walked out of Amaya's bedroom, slightly slamming the door behind him once he was in the hallway. He walked back to his room as quickly as he could. He was not going to enjoy this next meeting.
Katsu looked at Amaya as she was in her unconscious state. She gave a small sigh. "This is going to get quite difficult from here on out," the Suzuki pureblood spoke softly, "Fantastic as always."
Amaya watched as a young woman stood on a road leading out of a small village just several feet in front of her. The woman was covered in a black cloak and hood. She had brown boots on her feet. That was all Amaya could see poking out from underneath the cloak. Not a sign of a dress or anything. The woman took her right hand out of the cloak. Her arm had a white sleeve on it. Most likely the woman was wearing some kind of long-sleeved clothing. Her hand came up to her hood. It reached inside, maybe to brush away some hair.
The woman sighed softly as she watched someone appear on the road ahead of her, walking away from the village. It was the man from Amaya's previous visions; the one with brown hair and dark red eyes. He had a long, black coat over him. He stopped before the black-cloaked woman before him. His gaze was looking down. Something bad must have happened in the village.
"You didn't even speak a single word of refusal against your vassals as you were cast away," the woman stated.
He fell to his knees and one of his hands came up to his face. The woman walked towards the man, now standing before him. "You won't try to claim it was because you were lazy or anything, hm?" She placed one of her hands on his head. He did not shy away.
The woman gently brought the man's head to her stomach and placed her own head just hovering over his. The man slowly closed his eyes as he took in the scent of the woman holding him now.
"Good boy, Kaname," the woman spoke softly.
Did she just say Kaname, Amaya thought to herself.
Amaya's dark blue eyes quickly opened as she was forced away from the vision. She looked to see she was under her bed sheets. A few other blankets were over her as well. She looked next to her to see the dark gray wolf from before; the one that had saved her and Katsu from a black-haired stranger. The wolf was curled next to her. Its head was sitting right next to where her head was just a few moments ago.
"Who are you," she asked softly as she placed a hand on the wolf's head. The wolf did not move or even flinch from her sudden touch. It simply laid there, its eyes half shut as sleep was about to take over it.
"What's happening," she asked softly.
The gray wolf suddenly woke up. Its light golden eyes looked at Amaya softly. Nothing threatening was in its gaze. So then why was it there? Why would it come inside and suddenly lay next to her?
Why indeed?
The wolf gave a small yawn before laying its head back down onto the bed. It closed its golden eyes once more.
Amaya gave a small sigh before laying down next to the wolf. She ran a hand over the wolf's soft, gray fur before closing her eyes as well, getting some much-needed rest. Unfortunately, for her instead of some rest, Amaya went into another unconscious state, just like before.
Something was definitely happening.
Kaname turned to his study door as it was opened suddenly. There was no knock of the sort warning him that someone was going to enter. It was not needed though. He already knew all too well who was at the door.
Senri stepped into the room with Takuma right behind him. Senri's eyes were two different colors; one was red and one was blue.
Kaname knew his so-called uncle was in Senri's body. The pureblood prince quickly grabbed his black trench coat from his chair and put it on.
"It terrifies me to call you my nephew," the imposter spoke up, "The last time we met was a little over ten years ago, was it not?"
Kaname's dark red eyes narrowed slightly.
"You hurt me, Kaname," Rido continued, "Because of you, I was unable to get her under my control. As well, you destroyed my body back then."
"I was not going to have you touch her," Kaname told him.
"Oh my, protective as usual, I see," Rido mocked a little.
"Is there a problem with being protective," a woman's voice asked from the shadows in the study. Katsu walked out into the moonlight. Her dark colored eyes stared at the men across the room. She had her usual red cloak over her shoulders. Her vampire hunter weapons were at her side. She was dressed in a white blouse and black jeans. She was also wearing black leather boots; high heeled, of course. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at Senri. She was certainly not happy at all to see that there was an imposter in the boy's body.
Yet another pureblood in an aristocrat's body.
"Katsu, what are you doing here," Kaname asked in a harsh tone, "You're supposed to be taking care of her."
"Is the little princess by herself then," Rido asked, a mocking tone was still covering his voice.
"She's with one of my followers," the brunette answered more towards Kaname than the other, "She'll be fine." Katsu's eyes did not leave Rido's at all as she answered. She did not intend on letting her guard down against him, not ever. "I felt like I was more needed here if anything."
Rido gave a small shrug as he looked back to Kaname. "Well anyway," the imposter spoke up, "It seems a lot has happened since I was last seen."
No one said anything, so Rido decided to continue.
"I mean after all, my fiancée Shizuka has disappeared. You probably had some kind of involvement in that I bet, Kaname. She was so disobedient, not like this boy's mother." Rido pointed to Senri's head.
Kaname looked away from the Suzuki pureblood over to the imposter in Senri's body. "You're exactly the same as the time I killed you," the pureblood prince commented, "I don't have to hesitate about killing you now." Pieces of the floor were floating in the air in only a matter of seconds. Jagged edges were formed, pointing towards Senri. The pieces quickly darted at the boy, intending on not stopping at all.
"Kaname, stop," yelled Takuma as he placed himself in front of the line of fire. The pieces stopped just a few feet in front of Takuma. They continued to float there as Kaname stared at his good friend.
"I'm sorry," Takuma continued to speak, "But I won't let you hurt Senri, not over something like the argument between the two of you."
"Can I guess you're now on the Senate's side," Kaname asked his friend.
"I suppose you could say that," Takuma stated.
"Do not worry," Rido spoke up, "Kaname is not serious. It would be meaningless to destroy this body."
"I don't think that way of Kaname."
"It doesn't matter. In any case, has she woken up yet? Or do I need to finish that myself?"
A loud growl from Katsu rang throughout the room. Katsu's black-colored eyes were not their bright red color. She was angry, however, no action to kill Senri's imposter was made. "You will not touch her," Katsu growled out.
"Rido," Kaname spoke up, "Don't think that someone like yourself could ever touch her again." And with that, the pureblood prince was gone. He was no longer standing near his desk. The pieces of floor or rock that had been floating before Takuma and Rido fell to the floor immediately with Kaname's disappearance.
The Suzuki pureblood looked outside the window. Small snowflakes began to fall from the sky. "Damn," Katsu whispered to herself, "It's snowing at a time like this." Katsu turned back to the study door just in time to see Rido and Takuma leave. Rido's eyes stared at her just before he was no longer within her sight. Katsu growled softly under breath.
"It's about time that I left too," the brunette told herself. She walked over to the nearest window. With a quick snap of her fingers, the window's glass broke and the wooden frame fell. Most of the now broken window fell to the ground outside, not to the floor. Katsu quickly jumped down onto the ground. Her landing was a little on the loud side and that was fine for right now.
Kaname hadn't disappeared at all. He had just quickly made his way over to Amaya's room. The gray wolf was now sitting on the floor, waiting for him to arrive.
"Hmm, so it was you that was here instead of Katsu," the pureblood prince stated.
The gray wolf nodded before running out of the room. Kaname walked over to Amaya's bedside. He softly picked up her unconscious body, carrying her bridal style.
"Soon, Amaya," Kaname whispered to her, "Very soon, he will be gone and we will not be bothered by him ever again."
