Entry 13: Aftermath Preparation Part 2
Lee Chaolun sat in his office chair behind his desk as he looked at the screen on his laptop that held a bit of information that wasn't really useful to him at the moment. He wondered about the events that might've happened after the boxing match some nights ago, but more so on the condition of a certain blonde. The last time he had spoken with the woman was during their little rendezvous at the restaurant and he could definitely tell that she was hiding something; aside from the little secret she held about herself already. His informant hadn't contacted him yet and Lee was starting to get impatient; not even Alexanderson checked in.
The hour of the night was quite late and the rest of his employees had left for home as he remained at the company. Suddenly the ring tone set on his cell went off which caused Lee to retrieve it from the right drawer of his desk. He grinned as he saw the name listed under the caller; a contact pic wasn't assigned to them.
"Hello?" Lee answered in his usual charismatic voice.
"Hey baby, are you home?" a feminine voice replied from the other end of the call.
"If you mean by home as in the company, then yes I am Sweetheart. Why don't you drop by for a visit?" He leaned back in his chair.
"There's no need to tell me, I'm right outside."
"Finally. Just enter the code I gave you and I'll see you in a bit love." Lee ended the call and sighed. His inside man had finally arrived with the bit of information that he had been waiting for. Hopefully it was something he could use to his advantage, though it wasn't like he actually cared about what his nephew did. But if he were to get ahead of the game before the Mishimas, then maybe he could use certain information as a bargaining chip. Lee knew that Heihachi and Kazuya wanted to keep an eye on Jin, since he always got into the middle of their little shenanigans. With him in the lead on information concerning Kazama, the two of them might just come running for his aide; which he wouldn't mind giving, for a hefty price that is.
All of a sudden, Lee heard the elevator coming up to his floor level and then stopping before opening it's metal doors. His informer was finally here and he could hear the clacking of seven-inched heels, tapping against the ivory colored tiled floor. It didn't take the individual but a minute to make it to the entrance of his office in which they stopped right in the doorway. He cupped his hands together as he rested both of his elbows on his desk and looked towards his visitor. Eyes starting at their feet that held a pair of black pumps and traveling up a long pair of brown-sugared legs.
As his eyes made their way to the upper thighs, the bottom of a black mini dress was revealed that went all the way up nicely curved hips and a fairly slim waist. Going further up, the dress stopped right above a pair of rounded D-cup breasts, being sleeveless/strapless and showing a lot of cleavage. Within the crease of those breasts, hung a heart-shaped charm around a thin silver chain. Finally his eyes met with the ones of the woman that stood some feet away from where he sat; long straight auburn-dyed hair that hung to the middle of her back and dark green eyes that pierced through your soul.
"Hello gorgeous." He stood up and walked around his desk.
"Hello yourself. Did you miss me?" The woman crossed her arms breath her chest and gave the man a sly grin.
Lee made his way over to where she stood, "You know I always miss my favorite the most...Talia."
"Mm...if you meant that, I wouldn't be running around doing your bidding now would I?" She walked passed him as she flipped her hair and made her way to the end of his desk.
"Ouch, that hurts me to my heart Sweetie." He turned around pouting playfully.
"Sure it does." Talia lifted herself up and sat on Lee's desk, crossing her right leg over her left.
Lee then smirked as he put his right hand within his slacks' right pocket and smoothly walked over to her, "Now now Talia...there's no need to be rash."
He was in his playboy mode now as the tone in his voice changed along with the expression on his face. Lifting his left hand and using it to draw back the hanging hair behind Talia's right ear as he caressed her cheek. The woman nearly fainted from his touch, "You know you're the best one for the job. Especially since you work with those idiot cops down at the station."
Lee passed the tips of his fingers down the right side of her neck and over her collarbone. He then brushed the back of them, gently, over her exposed cleavage as he witnessed the woman trying so hard to keep her composure; women were like putty in his hands and he loved it.
"Now..." Lee continued as he brought his face closer to hers but moved it to her right side to where he could whisper into her ear, "...update me on any information that you were able to gather." After speaking those words, the man walked away from her and back around his desk so as to sit down within his chair once again.
Talia took two deep breaths before speaking, "Y-yes well..." she didn't turn to face him yet, as she tried to cool herself off, "...about the boxing match..."
"Yes?" Lee leaned back in his chair.
"Steve Fox won."
He rolled his eyes, "That much I do know dear."
"Well Inspector Wu Long had gotten with us earlier today about what took place after."
"And what did our dear Inspector have to say?" Lee smirked.
Talia finally turned herself halfway around to look at the man behind the desk, "Apparently he and Officer Brooks went to confront the Williams woman, who happened to be already in a fight with her sister."
"Really?" Lee raised his right eyebrow, though he wasn't too surprised by that bit of information.
"Yes, but the Inspector put that little brawl to a halt. Though she wasn't going down without a fight and charged at the officers without any hesitation, in which they opened fire."
Lee's ears perked up, "Were any of their shots successful?"
Talia hunched her shoulders, "I think the Inspector said they might've grazed her, but that was it."
"I see." Lee sighed within himself, relieved. "What happened afterward?"
"They lost track of her once she headed up a fire-escape and onto the rooftop of some building. But it was mentioned that once they finally got onto that same exact roof, they found a few weapons and markings that happened to look like a battle had taken place. Some of those weapons looked to be used by ninjas; apparently she had other pursuers."
"Ninja huh?" Lee knew it had to be the one that was hanging around Alexanderson, but did they really need to attack the woman? He went into deep thought as he tried to imagine how the chase might've went to get Nina Williams, from Anna to the feds, and then a Mishima relative with a ninja. She must've had one hell of a night; Lee couldn't help but smirk to himself, though he did wonder about what condition the woman might be in.
"Lee?"
He was broken out of his thoughts and looked up at the woman who had now made her way from upon his desk and stood right beside him, "Yes?"
"You've become silent all of a sudden."
"Forgive me Sweetheart, I just got lost in my thoughts for a moment."
"Is that so?"
"Is there anything else that I need to know?"
"Well they haven't gotten a hold of Kazama's hideout yet and Fox has been missing for the last couple of nights. But once something of more importance comes up, you'll be the first one I call." Talia grinned.
Lee turned in his chair to face her as he smirked, "I better be the only one you call."
"Oh yeah, and if you're not?" She teased.
"Then..." He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to where she was seated upon his lap, a leg straddled on each side, "...I guess I'll just have to punish you, now won't I."
"Have you forgotten how much I love to be disciplined by you?" Talia smirked as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
The man then moved to whisper in her ear again, "Another reason why you're my favorite." He gently kissed her neck before nibbling on it, which caused the woman to close her eyes as she passed her fingers through his silver hair.

Lars sat in his living room with Alisa and Raven, who happened to be resting his back up against the east wall. Earlier that day, the previously android woman, came across a few files within Lars' office desk in the study room while she was doing a bit of house cleaning. The files were the ones given to him and Raven from Lee Chaolun in-regards to the issue with Jin Kazama. He didn't figure that she would find out so soon, especially since they've just started this whole ordeal. But he was fascinated by the fact that she did come across it so early on...even if it was by accident, the woman had a knack for such things which attracted him to her even more.
Silence was hovering over the three of them as the files rested on the glass coffee table, opened and facing Lars. Alisa was sitting upon their couch with her arms folded beneath her chest, trying to gather the words of what to tell her husband. Meanwhile, Lars was sitting across from her upon the matching love-seat, rubbing his temples as he was trying to work out his excuse within his head.
"How long?" Alisa spoke first.
"How long what?" Lars tried to play ignorant.
"How long have you been working for Chaolun?"
"We're not working for him. Just...along with him."
"For what reason?" She looked at him kind of disappointed.
"You've read through the file right? Jin is back and I can confirm that because I've seen him with my own eyes."
"Yes but...do you even know what he's planning?"
"No. That's what we're trying to figure out." Raven spoke.
Alisa turned to look at him, but then focused her attention back on Lars, "And the reason you felt like you had to hide this from me?"
The man passed his fingers through his hair and sighed, "Because..."
"Because what?!"
"I'll let the two of you discuss this. Seems like a problem for married couples." The ninja then vanished leaving Lars to fend for himself.
"Thank a lot..." he mumbled under his breath.
"Lars?"
"Alisa look, I didn't tell you because, yes, we haven't gotten down to what it is exactly that Kazama is up to. I also wanted to keep you out of this, in-case things started to get ugly, keeping in mind your past dealings with Jin and how he used you."
"That was when I wasn't human! He can't control me anymore remember!"
"That's not the case!" Lars slammed his right hand on the coffee table which caused the woman to become startled.
"Then...what is the case?"
"Alisa..."
"We're married now and within a marriage, isn't trust the most important thing we should have between one another?"
The man sighed, "Yes, but this is different..."
"How so?" She threw back at him and he could hear the agitation in her voice.
In all actuality, Lars knew that the situation wasn't at all different like he was claiming it to be, but he wanted to keep Alisa out of this. She was right, the time that Jin had control over her was when she was still an android and not exactly human. But the reality at hand was, that she was human now, so her life could be put at risk, to a point that he could possibly lose her. He didn't want that to happen, no matter how good her skills still were after the change she had to undergo. Maybe Lars was just being a bit overprotective of her, but there was no way he was going to let the woman he loved so much, come into harm's way.
"I'm joining you two." He suddenly heard her say, not realizing that she had been talking for the past few minutes while he was lost in his thoughts.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me. Tell Chaolun that I'm in and we'll handle this matter together."
"What?! No way are you getting in on this!" Lars quickly rose from his seat.
"I think I know what our next move should be." Alisa completely ignored his last statement as she thought to herself.
"Didn't you hear me?! Alisa?! You cannot do this...!"
"Xiaoyu..."
Lars blinked his eyes a few times a bit surprised at the name that came out of his wife's mouth, "Ling Xiaoyu? You're maid of honor?" He had forgotten about his stand to leave the woman out of their apparent mission.
Alisa pulled out her cell phone and scrolled through her contacts, "Yes. She was once very good friends with Jin. I wonder if he, by any chance, reached out to her."
"Do you think he would? What would he gain from that?"
"Who knows, but if he did, I'm sure Xiao would let us know. She's always done the right thing and what's best for him."
Lars rubbed his chin, "Is that right? Though, that can be interpreted in another way as well."
Alisa had finally come across the young woman's contact and smiled, "Xiao's my friend and we have never kept things from one another."
She replied as she opened up a new passage for a text message: "Hey! It's Alisa! Can we meet up for lunch anytime soon ^_^?"
{}
"I can't believe we let her get away!"
Lei Wu Long slammed both of his fists on the desk within his office at the police station. He and Officer Brooks had been going over the files of the case for the past seven hours and they still couldn't figure out what their next move was going to be. The meeting they had earlier that day with the rest of their team didn't go too well, on account of the way the other members were left out of the last pursuit. Lei didn't know that they would take it so personally, but he made a mental note to try and include them next time.
"Don't beat yourself up Inspector." Cory yawned as he sat in the office chair and outstretched his arms above his head.
Lei knew the man was right, but he couldn't help himself from thinking negatively about the situation. They had the woman right dead in front of them and then she just up and gave them the slip like they were a bunch of rookies. By himself, he chased the brunette and the goon she was with for a few blocks, but that didn't end up the way he thought it would either. Apparently she had a backup plan and had an escape car waiting for them at a designated spot. Lei ended up running after the black sedan for a couple of miles until he couldn't run anymore and had to watch the rear-lights of the vehicle disappear into the night.
When he made his way back to where he had left Eddy and Cory, the two had just grabbed hold of the end of the fire-escape. After they pulled it down, the three of them quickly climbed it and made their way atop of the roof. The only thing they found were the remains of a battle that took place and some ninja tools scattered about. Lei could feel his frustration coming back and he remembered their failure to accomplish anything that night; it was like they were back to square one. Though now they knew for certain that they weren't the only ones trying to get to Jin Kazama.
"Inspector?"
Lei shook his head of his thoughts as he looked at his accompanying officer, "I'm just contemplating our next move Brooks. Don't worry, my state of mind is stable."
"Are you sure about that?"
He looked down at some scattered files, "Why do you ask?"
"Because your fiancé has been calling for the past hour and you haven't looked at your phone once."
The man froze as sweat ran down the back of his neck, "Please tell me you're joking..."
Cory picked up Lei's phone and held it out to him, "See for yourself."
Lei took the phone within his hands and scrolled through about twenty missed calls, all coming from Staci, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?!"
"Well, you were in the zone so I didn't want to disturb you." The young man shrugged his shoulders.
All of a sudden, the phone vibrated in Lei's hand causing him to look down at it, the woman was calling him again, "You better give me a second."
Cory nodded as he got up from his seat and left the room so that Lei could take his call in private. The inspector sighed and said a quick prayer before answering the phone, "Hello Honey."
"Don't you 'hello honey' me! Where in the hell have you been?! I've been calling for over an hour!"
Lei had to remove the phone from his ear as the shouting of the woman on the other end, rang severely in it, "Calm down Staci, I just got caught up with work."
"And what happened to our dinner date?!"
"Honey, didn't we set that for..." he took a quick glance at the calendar that the office held, "...for...today." Sweat dripped down the back of his neck once again, "S-sorry Honey..."
"Ugh!" He heard her take a deep breath, she must be counting to ten, Lei thought to himself. "You know what...it's fine. Whatever. Finish up your work, but you better make this up to me."
"Of course." He sighed with relief.
"Okay. Don't work too late."
"I won't."
"I love you."
Lei passed a smile across his face, "I love you too." He then ended their call and tossed the phone upon the desk as he sighed.
"Is it safe to come back inside?" Cory asked from the entrance of the door.
"Yeah, come on in." He just lifted up his left hand without turning to the man, motioning him to enter.
"Women huh?" Cory shook his head a bit amused.
"Yeah."
"The weakness God has given to man."
Lei nodded, "Yeah the weak..."
All of a sudden the wheels in his head started to turn as he caught sight of an old photo within the file he was observing. It was of a teenage girl and teenage boy that were dressed in their school uniforms, smiling. "The weakness to every man..." He picked the photo up and examined it thoroughly recognizing both the youths; Lei just figured out what their next move was going to be and couldn't believe that it was staring him dead in the face the entire time. He smirked as he turned the picture over and held it out to Cory, "...always has to be a woman."
{}
Jun laid within her quarters of the G-Force Corporation's residence that was connected to the facility. The majority of the members were recommended to reside there, if one wished to be protected from opposing organizations. Though her case was different; there wasn't any other place for her to go since the lab she was from had been destroyed by Kazuya's soldiers. It wasn't too bad of a place, even though it was basically a single room to walk into. If one were to come through the front door, there was a twin-sized futon in the far upper left corner of the room.
Across from it, to the left, was a small kitchen that held a stove, mini refrigerator and a couple of cabinets to store food stuffs. Mounted on the wall closest to the exit, was a twenty inch flat screen TV that seemed to be situated right where she could look at it from her futon. The door leading to the bathroom was located at the foot of that futon and it held a toilet, shower and sink. Everything seemed a bit plain but modernized, so Jun figured that all the little rooms there might be designed the same. She knew for a fact that Anna didn't stay in the residence, since the woman obviously had a place of her own.
The android sighed as she closed her eyes and thought about the conversation she had with Kazuya some hours prior to now. He had informed her about Anna's little confrontation with her sister Nina and what had happened with the supposed mission given to her at the boxing match. Jun knew she should've gone in with the woman, but he had let her sit that one out, which she didn't really mind at all. Though, something inside her, made her want to prove herself to the man that was in charge. Not only that, but for another odd reason, she didn't want him to feel that he just had her here, but that he needed her here.
All of a sudden, something vibrated on the floor right beside the futon that she laid upon and she turned on her left side to look over. It was the cell phone that she had been given a few days ago by Rebecca, to keep in-touch with the things going on. The number that flashed on the screen was unfamiliar to her and she was a bit hesitant to answer, but thinking about it, the only ones that probably had access to the device's number would be someone within G-Force. She slid the unlock button across it's screen, put the phone to her right ear and answered, "Hello?"
"What took you so long to answer?" The voice on the other end asked in a nonchalant manner, but Jun recognized it right away.
"S-Sorry Sir, I was a bit hesitant as to who the caller was."
"My number should be saved in that phone, did not Rebecca do it?"
"No Sir, if it was done, then I would've answered without hesitation." She tried not to sound sarcastic.
"Heh, I don't take too well to sarcasm." She heard him snicker on the other end.
Jun cursed underneath her breath before speaking again, "F-Forgive me if my statement came out as such."
"I need you in my office now."
"Yes Sir."
The call had ended as fast as it came and Jun looked at the time upon the screen of the phone, three o'clock in the morning. What the hell was he doing up at three o'clock in the morning?! No. as a matter of fact, what the hell was she doing up at three o'clock in the morning?! The android sighed as she removed the sheets from upon her and stood up from her futon to make her way to the bathroom. She grabbed a black trash bag that held some clothes, given to her by Rebecca yet again, and dug inside to find a pair of gray sweat pants. Leaving the black cami she wore on, Jun slipped the pants over both her legs and up to her hips. When she walked out of the bathroom, she headed to the front door, slipped on her white tennis shoes and exited.
[10 minutes later]
Kazuya sat in his office and looked out it's window; he had just reviewed some new files several times over. Some would be tired at this hour, but he was far from it because it took a lot to wear his mind out. Jin wasn't that big of a threat for him to worry over, but from what happened the previous time, he wanted to be a little more prepared for what his son had in mind for him.
*knock knock knock*
"Come in." He gave permission for his visitor to enter into his office, not turning his attention towards the direction of the door.
Jun walked in slowly and closed the door behind her, "You wanted to see me?"
"Yes."
She stood inches away from the door and cupped both of her hands together, placing them in-front of her thighs. Kazuya hadn't turn in her direction yet and silence came over the room which made her feel a bit uncomfortable. Jun was starting to understand emotions a lot better, but she knew for a fact that she didn't like to feel that particular one. She looked over at him and noticed that he held no particular kind of expression on his face, though he seemed to always look that way. The light that the moon cast was shining upon his face because he often kept the office dimly lit.
Jun looked closely at the man and started to examine his facial features, how chiseled it was and so manly. Anyone who came into contact with him, would automatically know for sure that he was a threat and dangerous. But she wondered if there was something underneath all that façade?
"Are you just going to stand there by the door or are you going to come over here." He finally turned his attention to her, facial expression still unreadable.
She snapped herself out of her trance, "Yes, sorry." Jun then walked further into the office and up to his desk as he leaned back in his chair.
"Tell me, what do you know about Jin Kazama?" Kazuya cupped his hand together and sat them upon his desk.
"Well I...I know that he's been presumed dead for the past few years. He held the last Iron Fist Tournament while having control over the Mishima Zaibatsu. Right now he's twenty-four in age and his closest friends are Ling Xiaoyu and Hwoarang. Three years ago he defeated a horrible monster named Azazel, which gave that impression of his death. Also..."
Kazuya raised his left hand up so as to stop her from going on, "That's all information I'm glad you know, but...you're forgetting the most important thing."
Jun knew what he was getting at, but she didn't know why she felt uneasy to say it, "He's...yours and Jun Kazama's...son."
The man lifted up his right index finger and pointed at her, "Exactly."
"Sir, if I might ask...why is that bit of information about him so important?"
Kazuya sat himself up before standing up from his chair, "Well, that bit of information will be where your mission comes from."
"Because...I look like her...his mother."
He passed a sly grin across his face as he walked from around his desk and to where she stood, "Precisely."
She followed his movements, turning her body around to face him as he stared her down, "So what do you want me to do?"
"The boy has been grieving over that woman for years but yet, a part of himself feels like she's still out there somewhere. I want you to play a few mind tricks on him, to throw him off his game and make him crack-up a bit." He crossed his arms over his chest.
Jun hunched her shoulders, "Sounds easy enough. All I have to do is stalk him a bit and let him get a glimpse of my face."
"You don't understand..." Kazuya took a few steps into her personal space, causing her to back up against the edge of his desk and grab a hold of it with both of her hands.
"W-what is that?" She stumbled over her words.
"I want him broken..."
She looked into the eyes that stared into hers with seriousness, one dark in shade and the other red, "I can shatter him if you'd like."
Suddenly that serious expression slowly passed a devilish grin across that man's face which nearly made her knees weak; how was that possible, she did not know.
Kazuya then drew his face close to hers which caused her to break out into a sweat until he stopped inches away from coming into contact with her own, "For your sake, I hope so."
Those words sent a chill down, what would be, her spine. Their faces were about a inch away from each other and she sensed that he moved his right arm to go in-between the space that resided between her left arm and waist. Jun felt the inward of his arm brush lightly over her left hip as she continued to hold her position, staring into those eyes that glared back. She could feel her heart beat starting to pick up as the movement he made came to a stop.
Kazuya then pulled his arm back, slowly and out from the android in front of him, bringing up to his right ear a cellphone, "Yes, continue the research."
As he stepped away and turned from her, Jun sighed closing her eyes, "His phone...right. He was grabbing for his phone."
"You're dismissed."
She opened up her eyes and looked at the back of his head as he referred to her. Nodding to herself, she pushed herself off the edge of the man's desk and walked around him, heading towards the door.
"Oh, and one more thing."
Jun turned halfway around to her right, "Yes?"
"Training will be held at six o'clock sharp."
"What?! That's basically two hours from now!" She thought to herself as the temple on the right side of her forehead twitched, "Of course." He then turned away from her to continue his call as she turned to walk out the exit of the office.
{}
The scene of a grave is surrounded by a weary setting, dark clouds in the sky and a thick fog that covered almost everything in sight. The atmosphere just screamed that a storm was coming, not only in a literal sense, but perhaps in a symbolic sense as well. Suddenly, at the flash of lightning, a figure appeared next to the grave's tombstone and stood motionless. Back turned and looking to be about five-foot-three in height, the individual wore a black dress that seemed to fall right pass the knees. The clothing was quite plain in it's design, spaghetti-strapped at the top with a v-cut between the bust.
Upon the womanly figure's feet, were a pair of black pumps with the heels coming up about seven inches. She held a bouquet of flowers within her arms as they started to tremble, feeling weak. Looking at the back of her head, the long blonde hair that hung from it had moved with every motion of the wind that blew. Even after a few moments, the woman still didn't show any sign of movements from her, besides the shaking of her limbs. It wasn't like she didn't want to move, the fact remained that she just couldn't.
Blue eyes were suddenly revealed that belonged to her, moving to glance down at the tombstone that resided at the head of the grave of someone that was probably once dear to her heart. Another flash of lightning cracked, causing her to lose sight of the name she was trying to read upon that stone. That's when the downpour of nature's tears emerged. It didn't start off as a drizzle or as droplets here and there, the rain came down hard and immediately drenched her; the only person present at the grave site. She lifted her head up to the sky and closed her eyes as the falling water ran over her being and the flowers within her possession.
After trying to grasp for some kind of relief from those cool, yet aggressive, droplets, her eyes opened only to reveal those blue gems once again. The woman lowered her head down and, before looking over at the tombstone again, stared at the drenched bouquet in her arms. The beautiful sparkled blue paper that wrapped around the stems of the flowers, was ruined and started to tear. This dug into her figurative heart as she remembered that the color was the favorite of the deceased one who laid in the ground below. The pink orchids that laid within that wrapping, wilted lower than the mood she was in, from being soaked from the dreadful rain; they were the favorites of the one, who that individual loved most in this world.
The woman then turned her attention back at the tombstone and forced herself to read the engraved name upon it once more. This time, the lightning didn't dare flash, though the thunder did roar louder than she had ever heard it roar before. Her eyes passed over each letter of that name and with every letter that she read over, the welling of tears came to her eyes. Once she came to the last letter, an "s", and the woman found herself crying, tears streaming down both cheeks upon her face, mixing in with the rain's droplets. She wondered why this had happened, why was her life the way it was and why couldn't she...why couldn't she...?
Suddenly a sharp pain came from her head as she let out a wince, dropping the bouquet she held without hesitation. She fell to her knees, causing a slight splash from a puddle that formed beneath her, bringing both of her hands up to her head to rest on each side. Another wince came from her mouth as she closed her eyes shut and squeezed both of those hands, trying to rid her head of the pain that was occurring inside. Flashes of images, people, events that she couldn't recall, came and went as it felt like she was being shot in the head over and over again with a Barrett M107 sniper rifle. Trying to look over at the tombstone again, lightning flashed as her eyes seeped open for a second to see that name again...to see that "Richard Williams" again...
*lightning flash*
Nina Williams awoke in a cold sweat, lifting herself up from the waist, on whatever it is she had been laying on. Her eyes were wide open as it seemed like she was trying to catch her breath, left hand on her chest that happened to only be covered by a black and purple sports-bra.
"What...what the hell?" was the only thing going through her mind as she started to calm herself down and passed that left hand up and through her short blonde hair. As she brought her hand back down, her gaze went along with it, softening as she became lost in thought. She hadn't had that dream about her father in months, so why now, why did it creep into her slumber at this moment?
"That must've been one hell of a dream."
The sudden voice in the room caused her to quickly lift her head and turn in the direction of where it came from. The slight mystery of who the voice belonged to, left her as she looked at the one who sat in a wooden chair that resided by a corner and window. Nina sighed as she closed her eyes, but not before feeling a wave of tiredness come over her body which caused her to lay back down on what she figured to be a cot, "How long was I out for?"
The man she referred to, had his arms crossed as he was laid back within his seat, legs spread out from one another. He wore some black slacks and a dark gray dress shirt that had long sleeves; the first few buttons undone, black boots upon his feet. "About two days."
"You have got to be kidding me." She winced underneath her breath, agitated at herself.
"I'll say, those injuries weren't half as bad as the ones that you're used to getting. For that reason, I wonder, why you were out for so long?"
"How the hell should I know." She gritted her teeth resting her right arm over her eyes.
"Could it have anything to do with that dream of yours?"
"More like a nightmare..." she thought aloud.
"Well whatever it was, you were making a lot of commotion in your sleep. I have to admit, it made me a bit uncomfortable." He yawned as he sat himself up.
"Then you should have walked the hell out of here."
"Who's Richard?"
Suddenly Nina felt like her heart stopped and she just died for a second before returning to the world of the living. Did she by any chance start talking in her sleep? Not only that, how long was Kazama in the room for him to actually hear what she might have said in her sleep? It was enough she had to go through this ordeal by herself, but she didn't need anyone, especially him, to ease their way into her business.
"Ms. Williams?"
"No one." She replied nonchalantly.
"Anyway,..." Nina removed her arm and decided to sit herself up in the cot once again, "...where are the others?"
Jin stood up, "I made them go home."
She smirked, "And they just up and left?"
"Xiao was easy to convince, since she was a bit uncomfortable with tending to your wounds."
Nina became slightly surprised, though she didn't show it, "She actually is useful huh."
"Though Fox was a little harder to get out of here and on his way. He wanted to stay until you woke up, so that you could tell him personally how you were feeling." Jin walked over to the cot.
The woman snickered, "That boy is too caring at times."
Jin put both of his hands in the slacks' pockets and smirked, "Only when it comes to you."
Nina outstretched her arms above her head as she yawned and removed her bare legs from underneath the thin white sheets of the cot. She swung them on the left side of it, the side where Jin stood, only having on a pair of black boy-shorts. "Does that bother you?"
"Only when it comes to who you protect."
"Of course the one who funds, is the one that's on top of that list." She grinned.
"About those funds, I might have to deduct your pay."
She blinked her eyes a few times, "E-Excuse me?"
Jin crossed his arms over his chest and smirked, "Me protecting you wasn't in the contract."
"No one asked for your protection, I had things under control!" She snapped back at him.
"Is that so? Then why are you cooped up here, in this condition." He cocked his head back.
Nina gritted her teeth as she clenched her right hand into a fist. There was no need for him to swoop in and save her at that time, she was certain she had things working all according to plan. Though she did remember her slight sigh of relief when she was rescued, but she wasn't going to let him know that. But there was no way he was cutting any kind of funding from her pay, she'd rather kill him. She then passed a sly grin across her face, "Let's not do this, or should I bring up the countless of times I've saved your ass out of a sticky situation. If we were to go by those numbers, you'd be paying me a lot more than you're willing."
Jin returned her grin and nodded, "Touché, Ms. Williams. You've made your point, as always. Now, rest up for the rest of the night, because we get back on track starting tomorrow." He said as he turned to head to the room's exit.
"Hold on Kazama." She stopped him in his tracks.
"What is it?"
"This time...what exactly is going on?"
Jin turned around to face her direction, "I'm sure you know the answer to that question already."
"Details?"
He then walked up to her again, "Like I said, we'll get back to things first thing tomorrow. Get some rest."
As he turned to walk away again, Nina spoke, "Oh, there's one more thing." Before he could turn back to reply to her call, Jin felt her grasped him tightly around the waist with both of her legs. She brought him in close to her, pelvis to pelvis, as she grasped the back of his head with her left hand and shoved the mouth of a glock28 into the left side of his neck, underneath between the jaw and chin, with her right.
The man didn't flinch as they stared each other down until she brought her mouth to his right ear, "If you ever belittle me in-front of your powder-puff girlfriend again, I will kill you. Are we clear?" The assassin cocked the gun making sure he heard the *click*, as she brought her face back to look at his.
Jin smirked as he shoved his hands back into his pockets, not even wanting to question where she pulled that gun out from. She indeed was an assassin after-all, "Crystal, Ms. Williams."
The armed woman grinned, "Good."
With that said she quickly loosened her grip from around him and brought her legs and bare feet, back in. Though, not before using her right foot to kick him in the chest with a good amount of force, which caused him to be pushed back across the room. Jin didn't stumble over, but the friendly attack left a little aching spot upon the area it hit. He straightened himself up, smirking as he used his right hand to dust off the shirt that he wore.
"See you tomorrow." Nina replied as she finally placed her feet on the cold wooden floor below the cot.
"Tomorrow." The man turned and lifted his right hand in the air as he headed to the exit's door. "Oh and Nina..." He looked out the corner of his right eye back at her in the room as he slyly grinned. "...there's no need to be jealous of the pawns. You know you're always at the top of my list."
The woman snickered as the man closed the door behind him, "Jealous my ass."

A/N: Hey! So what did you guys think about the new update? Was it what you expected or was something missing? I'm open to any ideas that you might have. I know it might seem like a lot to take in, considering all the characters I'm trying cultivate in each chapter. Though I might try to focus on a few characters at a time with upcoming chapters, that way it doesn't seem rushed and more details can be added. Review, follow, and favorite; it helps me to update faster lol. Until the next entry! ^_^
