Harry Potter sighs as he lays his head down at his desk, his shift is already over. He doesn't want to go home though. He and Ginny have been fighting alot once their youngest Lily Luna Potter had started Hogwarts earlier this year. Ginny has been a bit moody for the past couple of years due to the fact that she was switched from starter Chaser to reserve Chaser on the Holyhead Harpies after she had been playing for them for over fourteen years. The truth is, she was lucky to have last in starting for fourteen years.

He thinks about Ron and Hermione, he knows that they are fighting as well. Ron's own disinterest in doing anything that doesn't involve going to watch Quidditch games of the Canons, playing chess and all of that. Ignoring the stress of Hermione's own job as Minister For Magic, among other things. He's even heard from compliants by Ron that they had moved into seperate bedrooms over three years ago. Not to mention, one of the thing that Ron complains about is their son Hugo, not anything about Hugo's grades, personality, or interest though. Nothing like that, just his name. That is when he had discovered that his name comes from one of Hermione's favorite authors, whose first name was Victor. That had caused a lot of fighting, especially once it was learned that Hermione had wanted to actually name him Victor, after the author. That is what she said and that is what Harry believes. If she wanted to name him after Victor Krum, she'd have told Ron, but the truth is, if he didn't get a son named after him, then he doesn't see why Victor Krum would. Of course that would just make Ron angry and go off on his own jealousy again.

He gets up and goes over to the coffee machine, not completely paying attention, just going to get himself another cup to try to relax and escape from his thoughts.

"Not in any hurry to get home either?" A voice asks

Harry jumps and looks over, "Hermione, you scared me. No, I guess not. I got fighting with Ginny, I got the stress of the job, with that new thing that is growing and going on out there that I can't tell Ginny about yet. Among other things, it seems that since the kids left for Hogwarts, I have nothing to talk to her about really, outside of say, going to one of the kid's Quidditch Matches."

Hermione sighs and lets out a smile, "That is the only type of Quidditch that I look forward and am happy to go and see. I am also grateful that none of my children, nor my nephews or nieces, play at all like you did. More than once, I swear you had the Catch the Snitch or Die mentality."

Harry chuckles as he thinks of Oliver Wood, who had told him that one game, the same game that the Bludger was hexed by Dobby into chasing him if he remembers correctly, "Wood may have been a bit crazy with his passion and all, but he was a hell of a captain and I couldn't have asked for a better one."

Hermione looks at him, "I never asked before, but why didn't you play professionally after Hogwarts for a while?"

Harry smiles and grabs a cup of coffee, "I love flying, the feeling of being free, however I didn't really like Quidditch that much if I am honest."

Hermione looks at him in confusion and tilts her head, "Then why?"

Harry sighs, "My dad was a great Quidditch player, granted, he was a Chaser and I got put on the team without being asked. I guess you could say that it was a mixture of a lot of things. Wanting to be known for doing something that I did through skill, not by luck or something else, A feeling of obligation, and a desire to do something in one of my parent's memory. I mean, all I knew about my dad in my first year was that he was a great Quidditch player. I mean, I also knew that he was Head Boy, but trying to reach that goal was hard work, seven years away, and required following the rules like...a girl who believes that being expelled is worse than being killed."

Hermione slaps his arm at that last comment but looks amused, "Why can't it be like this at home?"

Harry lets out a chuckle, "Because Ron is not capable of forming a more complex thought than I'm hungry outside of Quidditch or Chess."

Hermione shakes her head, "Harry, you're terrible. I mean, he's your best friend."

Harry sighs and looks down, "No, he isn't. You are. Our friendship never completely recovered from the Goblet of Fire incidient, then he abandoned us on the Horcrux hunt. He's an aquaintiance and a coworker, but he's not a friend, at least, not the way that he once was."

Hermione looks at him, "You, the rest of the auror department, including Ron, who is only still on the Auror department because the head of the DMLE doesn't want to risk her job by firing him, know what is going on out there. He knows the stress that you and me feel and he should feel it as well, but he doesn't care. You can't even tell Ginny and I am sure that is putting a big strain on your marriage." She puts on a strained smile, "I could just give you permission to tell her you know. I mean, I am the Minister for Magic."

Harry shakes his head, "There are some rules that must be followed, we are keeping this quiet so that the Bright Lord doesn't know that we are onto him to take him down should he accidentally do anything illegal."

Hermione scoffs, "The bright lord, I got to give him credit, I mean, this is practically an anti-voldemort. anti-dark lord. Anti-Wizard."

Harry looks at her, "And the Prime Minister, has he said anything?" Ever since the last wizarding war, work has been put in to make wizarding and muggle world closer together, with the hope of one day making them co-dependent on each other, to prevent a mass genocide from ever happening or being attempted ever again. The problem is, most wizards still believe that muggles are inferior and that nothing that they can do would hurt them. He doesn't know how to spread the truth about muggle abilities without causing fear and mass panic and then causing another war, this time, out of a false sense of self-preservation.

Hermione looks at him, "He still isn't budging. he doesn't believe that this Bright Lord is dangerous, since his goal is to prevent another Voldemort from ever rising."

Harry shakes his head, "The day that we need to use fear to maintain the security and wellbeing of any world is the day when we become the very thing that we tried to fight all those years ago. The bright lord is young though, he didn't grow up in those times, he just heard about them. Do we even know who he is?"

Hermione sighs, "No, he is still unknown. Even if we did, we can't exactly just bring him in, he hasn't really done anything."

Harry feels like he wants to pull his hair out, "The prime minister won't give him up because he believes in what the Bright Lord is selling. We can't do anything about him because he hasn't broken any laws. We stand at the cusp of what could start another war, but we can do nothing but watch it happen and then prepare for another fight and hopefully end whatever it may be before our children get involved in it."

Hermione looks at him, "You sound like Molly."

Harry looks unamused at her, he doesn't like getting compared to his mother-in law in that aspect, but he'll be the first to admit that she is a good, if overbearing, mother. He tries not to be an overbearing father, let his children make their own mistakes, but know that they can always come to him if they need it. He did it with Teddy, "I haven't heard from Teddy in a few weeks now. He stopped coming around for dinner as often."

Hermione glances at him, "You don't think that he is too busy with Victoria do you?"

Harry chuckles as he thinks of his oldest son, "If he is, no judgement there, they are both adults. Granted, I hope that is what it is and that he isn't involved in any of this Bright Lord mess."

Hermione raises her eyebrow, "You think he could be?"

Harry looks down, he shakes his head, he really hope that he isn't, he keeps himself from voicing the answer and hopes that Hermione merely interprets his head shake as being no.

Hermione looks at him, "Harry, go home and get some rest."

Harry finishes his cup of coffee, "You too Minister." He says, walking out, not feeling happy about Hermione's casual dismissal of him, wondering why she simply did dismiss him suddenly like that as he leaves.

Hermione sighs, anyone else would have bought it, but she knows Harry, she knows that his silence in terms of answering could mean a lot more than what it appeared to mean. It means that he simply didn't want to answer, because he was unsure and now he is angry that she simply dismissed him like that. She doesn't want to go home, the thing is, if she doesn't, he will know and he will be even angerier than he is now. She closes her eyes as she thinks of Ron, then she also thinks of her parents, who she hadn't found time to see in years. Actually, that's not quite true, it is more of who Ron doesn't care to go and see. She isn't blind, Ron has his good points, but his faults far outweigh them. Just as Harry has his own faults, but his good points outweigh his faults. However, so much of it all is a struggle.
