A/N: Welcome back readers! Last chapter we had a few of our characters come together in the continued pursuit of Jin (or at least to figure out what he's planning). Xiao surprisingly held her ground out of loyalty to Jin but poor Hwoarang got the short end of the stick ;'-( poor guy. We'll touch on later on how he'll handle that. Next we have accomplice number two. Last time we saw Steve, he had just caught Lili cheating on him *tear* and it really did hurt him (fyi I have nothing against Lili whatsoever but I felt like I could play around with the character's personality to make that outcome believable). Let's see what's next in-store for our famous boxer shall we!
Entry 15: The Celebrity…
*buzzbuzzbuzz*
Steve glanced down at his phone that he'd switched to vibrate a couple of days ago; he didn't really feel like talking to anyone. The man sighed as he saw who it was that sent him a text message and he just shoved the device in his jeans' pocket. The girl had been calling and texting him nonstop and he really didn't want to hear what she had to say, they were done…over. He planned to block her number or even change his own altogether, but for some reason he hadn't brought himself to do it just yet. The feelings he held for her were of course still there, even though he wished he could just turn them off and get rid of them so he could start moving on.
He needed some kind of distraction, though he really didn't want it to come from another female, that would be too cliché for his taste. Steve sighed as he also thought about how he never heard from Nina, the only thing he got was a text from Jin stating that they would all meet up in two days; that was the day before yesterday. He asked the man if she was okay, but of course, he didn't respond…typical. Steve figured they'd finally get some knowledge on what Jin was actually planning tomorrow night since they've just been basically lying low, not really accomplishing anything…if they were supposed to be accomplishing something that is. He didn't trust Kazama, but for some reason Nina and Xiaoyu did. Xiaoyu sure, he got and understood, but Nina, she didn't put her trust in anyone, not even him at times…or that's how it felt to him anyway.
The limo he rode in had started slowing down to come to a complete stop right outside his own gym that he designed a year back. "Fox's Boxing Bangle", the name wasn't his idea, but his manager's, the man thought it had some kind of ring to it. The place was basically a gym/coffee shop during the day and come seven in the evening a bar for night-lovers. Steve was there because his manager thought it would be a good idea to make a public appearance as reassurance that his little MIA stunt wouldn't start to spread. Though the boxer already had a backup plan that he put into action which was close enough to the truth. The piece of information hit the news and papers the same day he got back home. An update on his romantic relationship that made a lot of his female fans go crazy and cry out joyfully...to his surprise; though not really. It actually made his manager quite happy that he wasn't in a relationship anymore but he wanted Steve to still get out in public just in case. The man didn't take into account of how the boxer might be feeling over the breakup, saying that a lot of women come and go in a man's life, especially if he's as famous as he is.
"Is there a problem Mr. Fox?" His driver broke him of his thoughts.
"No, there's no problem Jackson. I'll head inside and…" He suddenly heard voices screaming his name from outside the vehicle.
"It's Steve Fox!"
"He's really here!"
"Mr. Fox?!"
Steve sighed, of course there would be reporters, paparazzi and fans, and his manager probably was the one that leaked out his whereabouts. Welp, there was no turning back and he'd already agreed to go inside and have lunch for the cameras anyway. Justin and William wanted to tag along since they felt foolish for losing sight of him for the two days he was gone, but he assured them that it wasn't their fault and he didn't need them on this outing. Steve took a deep breath while he put on his sunshades and then put on the most believable smile he could.
He put his hand on the door handle, "See you in a few hours Jackson."
"I'll be here Sir."
Steve finally stepped out to be greeted with camera flashes and cheers from fans. He waved and smiled as he walked passed the crowd at a reasonable pace. Constant questions were thrown at him from the reporters and shouts for autographs came along as well.
"Mr. Fox Mr. Fox! Is it true that you ditched your own victory party because of an unknown injury during the match?!"
"Mr. Fox what response do you have towards Admar Salvitch's coach statement regarding your taking of illegal substances as part of your training?!"
"Mr. Fox, is it true that you've broken things off with Emilie de Rochefort and you are now single again?!"
Steve stopped walking at that particular question one of the reporters asked. Answering that one would at least send a message to the girl and maybe she would stop trying to contact him if she didn't want to seem desperate. He wasn't sure if the paparazzi even gotten to her yet after the news had traveled.
Steve turned around and gave the reporter who posed the question a smile before speaking into her microphone, "Yes, it is true that I am now single and no longer dating Ms. Rochefort. Things just didn't work out and I decided to take my interests in a different direction."
"Does that mean that there's another woman that we should be looking out for?" The reporter asked.
Steve smirked as he turned around to continue on, "I have no comment on the matter."
His statement caused an uproar from the crowd of fans surrounding him. He finally stepped into the gym to be greeted by the manager who closed the door behind him and locked it. "You brought a crowd with you again Fox."
Steve sighed as he shook his head, "Don't blame me, Mario's the one that tipped them off."
The man nodded, "Yeah, he called to say you'd be coming and to shut things down to the outside public."
Steve looked around at the empty place, "Where's Michelle?"
"Aw she quit a couple of days ago. Went off to get married overseas to her boyfriend."
"Really? I thought you said that would never work out?" Steve walked over to one of the tables and took a seat.
The manager hunched his shoulders, "Well I've been wrong before. Now I'm looking for a new morning barista, though I can handle the shift on my own with Chris for awhile."
"I thought you said Chris was a klutz and you'd fire him the second you could?" Steve chuckled.
"Tch, looks like I can't do that now." The man walked behind the counter, "So what're you having?"
"Just give me a double espresso, I'll go change in the back and work up a sweat in here for awhile."
"While your fans out there watch?"
Steve hunched his shoulders, "It's what Mario wants."
He stood up and shoved his hands in his jeans' pockets. There was a hallway in the back that lead to some lockers that he made his way to so that he could change into some appropriate attire to work out in. It might be just the distraction he needed to take his mind off of a few things.
It only took him a minute to get undressed and put on some shorts and a white muscle shirt. Suddenly his phone vibrated in the jeans that he had placed on one of the wooden benches. He really didn't want to deal with Lili, she probably saw his response on the TV moments ago. The phone kept going off and he tried to ignore it but it just wouldn't stop, that's when he made up his mind to block the number. Steve picked up the jeans to retrieve the phone, but once he looked at the screen, he noticed that the number calling was an unknown one. That only meant one thing…Kazama.
He answered, "Yeah?"
"Steve."
The man became a little shocked but relieved; it wasn't who he thought, "Nina?...*sigh*…Man it's good to hear your voice. W-When did you get up? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine Steve. Jin said you were worried and I'm sure you've been pulling your hair out from not hearing from either of us."
He chuckled nervously as he rubbed the back of his head, "Haha, n-not really. I-I mean I know you can handle yourself and all."
"Good. Just wanted to let you know that there's no need to worry about me. We regroup tomorrow."
Was that it? It kind of ached his heart to know that their conversation only lasted a minute and she was going to just hang up. Steve figured it was probably for the best and she did give him some relief of her condition but…still…he felt like there was so much more he wanted to say, to discuss.
He sighed, "See you tomorrow." He waited for the dial tone.
"Steve…I'm sorry…about the girl."
His ears perked up a bit surprised to hear that she was still there, "Y-Yeah, women, th-they come and they go you know."
"Yes…but it's those that break the heart, who remain with us forever."
Break the heart? How did she…he never mentioned to anyone the reason for his breakup with the girl, "How did…I never…"
He heard her sigh, "Let's just say…a woman's intuition."
"Right."
"Don't let it break you, let it make you stronger."
Steve nodded, "I will."
"See you tomorrow."
"Tomorrow."
After that last word, he finally heard the dial tone and Steve had to admit that that brief conversation actually made him feel a little better. It wasn't only rare that she called him, but for her to show even the slightest concern for his welling being…it warmed his heart. The young man couldn't help the soft smile that passed across his face.
"Hey there buddy."
Steve quickly looked up to see someone standing in the entrance of the locker room, with a nervous smile upon their face, "Paul? W-What're you doing here? How'd you get in here?"
"Hey, you forgot that George used to work at my favorite bar before you hired him to manage this place haha." The older man laughed.
"Yeah yeah…" Steve put his phone back in his jeans' pocket and put them, along with his button-down shirt, in the locker that he stood in front of. "What do you want?"
The man took a few steps inside the room, "Just to talk."
"Talk or accuse me again?" Steve snickered.
Paul rubbed the back of his head, "Look, how I approached you last time was my bad. I didn't really come off as a good friend and I let rumors just fill my noggin with nonsense."
Steve folded his arms across his chest, "Like you always do."
"Y-Yeah hehe. So…I got word that you'd be here and I figured, you know, why not try and make amends. So, I'm apologizing."
Steve raised an eyebrow at his words, "So you're dropping this whole 'boxer-by-day assassin-by-night' talk then?"
Paul laughed, "Oh come on! Who in there right mind would think Steve Fox was in on some shady stuff like that?! Haha, the only ones you ever hurt are your opponents in the ring." The man gave a few jabs with his fists.
"Damn right." Steve chuckled.
"So…" Paul walked over to the young boxer, one of his fists out to be bumped, "…we're cool man?"
Steve hesitated at first and remembered what Jin and Nina told him about keeping your guard up when it came to anyone, even if it was one of his closest friends. But this was Paul we were talking about, the guy was no where near being a threat and not even once brought up Jin. Sure he brought up Nina but…wait…how long was Paul standing there before Steve noticed him? Long enough to hear his entire phone conversation? Steve mentally cursed because he realized that he even said the woman's name at the beginning of the call. Was he overthinking the matter or was Paul actually being sincere?
"Yo, Steve? You in there buddy?" Paul laughed again breaking his thoughts."
"Y-Yeah…we're cool." Steve finally replied and bumped the man's fist with his own.
"Great! How about we go a few rounds in the ring out there? Get your mind off of ol' what's her name."
Steve snickered, "Pfft that actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. Better than me lost in my thoughts just punching the bag right."
"Dames will be dames man." Paul patted him on the shoulder. "Let me change and I'll meet you out there."
"Trying to delay the ass-whooping huh old man? Haha." Steve laughed as he walked over to exit the locker room.
"Hey! My age hasn't ever held me back you young-buck! You might just get embarrassed in front of all your little fans out there."
"Yeah yeah." Steve waved him off.
Paul watched as the boxer left the room and when he was sure he was several steps down the hallway already, he hurried to open the locker that Steve stashed his things in. Jaguar had given him a tracking device to put on the back of his phone. The older man felt bad doing it but what she showed him a few nights ago on that disc, made it harder and harder for him to trust what Steve was saying. The kid had to be innocent and even if he wasn't, there had to be some kind of explanation or reason that he was involved with this assassin right? Aside from the fact that she was his mother…the thought still sent shivers down Paul's spine.
It didn't take him long to retrieve the phone and place the tracker within the charging port. It was so small, almost microscopic and Paul didn't know if he had gotten it in or not because he had such big hands. Jag said it wouldn't be hard but damnit, this line of work wasn't fit for a man his size. After being about sixty percent sure that it was placed correctly, Paul put the phone back in the jeans' pocket and started to close the locker. However, he hesitated and wondered what exactly was he doing? Was money really worth betraying a friend?
Paul sighed, "Sorry buddy." He closed it shut.

~9:15 PM~
Steve and Paul sat in a VIP section of a club downtown that used to be one of the boxer's favorite, until he stopped going when he started dating Lili. The two men sparred in the gym for a few hours and then had lunch as Steve told him the real reason for his recent breakup. Time seemed to just fly by and he had gotten a call from his manager to "keep up the good work" which caused Steve to just roll his eyes. Not too long afterwards, he suggested to Paul that they should go hit up a club if the man wasn't too worn out. Paul didn't hesitate in replying "yes" still trying to prove that he wasn't too old to hang out with his friend.
They had almost been there for two hours and Steve couldn't help but laugh and shake his head at Paul who had already become drunk. The owner of the place was a big fan of Steve's and every time he'd show up, drinks, food and service by beautiful women were always on the house. Even more so now since the woman hadn't seen Steve in the place for a while; she was ecstatic and even accepted Paul's being there with open arms.
"And then I took this right fist…" Paul was telling a story to one of the service women who took a seat by him thirty minutes ago. He put up his fist, "…and rammed it into the guy's face." The raven haired girl gasped actually stunned causing Paul to grin to himself, "Yep, betcha he doesn't talk bad about my granny again."
"Well aren't cha a tough cowboy." The woman giggled as she wrapped her arms around one of his.
Paul couldn't help but laugh out loud, cheeks somewhat pinkish from either being embarrassed by flattery or having too much to drink. Suddenly another service girl had called over the one that he was seated with and she begrudgingly excused herself, though not before letting Paul know that she'd try to make her way back to him as she winked. The man watched her walk away and whistled as he nudged Steve a few times.
Steve snickered at him trying not to laugh, "Man, you're wasted."
"Pfft…" Paul waved off the assumption, "…Paul Phoenix doesn't get drunk, he just appears drunk to save face."
"That doesn't make any sense haha, save face how?"
"Hey Steve?" The young man turned to find the owner of the club standing at the edge of their VIP room. She wore a tight red dress that stopped an inch pass her knees, sleeves were a quarter length, no cleavage was showing and some black pumps on her feet. Her jet black hair hung an inch above her shoulders, "Enjoying yourself? Everything to your liking?"
He nodded, "Everything is great Korie." The woman smiled and gave him a nod before walking on to the next VIP section.
Steve turned back to Paul, "Besides, what's with all this carrying on with that service girl? Aren't you in a relationship?"
Paul poured him another shot of some blue alcohol that he didn't even know how to pronounce, "Well Jag…urm, Jackie…*hic*…"
"Wasn't it Jacquelyn?"
"Y-Yes, but I use Jackie for short pfft. Anyway, she and I are just having uh…fun you know. Nothing real serious." He cocked the shot back.
Steve shook his head, "I can't believe Paul Phoenix can still pull women just to have fun with haha."
"You keep underestimating me young-buck."
Steve chuckled as he took a swig of the third beer that he ordered. He wasn't that big of a drinker since he tried to keep his body fit and semi-healthy for his fights. Looking out over the crowed club, he spotted a familiar face at the bar that he was surprised to see. The man stood up from his seat and Paul immediately questioned where he was going; he only told him that he'd be right back. Steve made his way through a crowd, some of whom recognized him, giving him high fives or pats on the back. When he made it to the bar, he just leaned on the counter just to see if the individual would notice him. After about twenty seconds and the person not even turning in his direction but continued reading some kind of flyer, Steve decided to just speak.
"Never thought I'd see you here."
Suddenly the girl quickly turned his way, a bit startled that she was referred to, "Who? Me…? Oh god it's you." She sighed.
He laughed, "Ouch, doesn't sound like you're too thrilled to see me Ms. Kazama."
"No no, it's not that…was just hoping I wouldn't run into anyone that knew me." Asuka sighed placing the flyer she was reading down.
"Why's that?"
"Because, I'm not a club-hopper o-or hang out in places like these."
Steve nodded, "Didn't think you were when I first met you. So either you're here against your will, or a friend dragged you out to unwind from class studies."
"Heh, both."
"Yeah? Must be some friend if you can get into one of the hottest spots in the city."
"My friend Serenity's aunt is the owner of this establishment. She wanted to talk to her for me."
"What? Korie has a niece? I didn't know that." He then heard the girl ask the bartender for another glass of water. "Would you prefer something else?"
Asuka turned to him and shook her head, "No, I don't like alcohol."
Steve chuckled, "I'm sure, but there's sodas, juice, virgin cocktails…you know, other things if you don't want water."
"I'm fine with water."
He hunched his shoulders, "Suit yourself."
Steve finished the remainder of his beer and placed the glass bottle on the bar counter. A bartender immediately approached to retrieve it and asked if he wanted another. Steve declined, claiming he still had several in the bucket that was in his section; Asuka rolled her eyes. He smirked, "What?"
"Nothing. You must get anything you want huh?"
"Not all the time. But the times I do, aren't too bad."
"I guess if you don't have to work for them…"
"Now hold on." He finally sat in the barstool next to her, "Nothing I have was just given to me, I worked hard for it just like everyone else."
"By fighting?"
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Depends on how one looks at it. The arts of boxing and wrestling have no real meaning to it, they're always just done for fame and fortune. Martial arts however, builds on one's inner being, their soul and connection to the art to better oneself physically, emotionally and mentally,"
Steve snickered, "Wow, I didn't know you were so close-minded."
"Excuse me?"
"I mean, I had a hunch but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt though…" he shook his head a tad bit amused.
"Though what?" The right temple on her forehead started to throb a little.
"Nothing, I've been proven wrong before."
"Are you trying to say that I'm wrong in my thinking?"
"Well…not wrong but, are you basing your statement on all the facts? Have you researched or studied the history of either boxing or wrestling?"
"No, but…"
"Then how can you assume that each is only done for fame and fortune? I mean, when I started, no way did I think that I would make a profit out of what I loved to do. I got into boxing because it was a way for me to channel all the emotions I felt from not knowing my parents to why my body was going through changes during puberty. It helped build my confidence and I had a connection to it and who I was as an individual. Not once did I think that I would profit from it. Now I do admit that I got a little cocky at moments and got into fights, that's how a scout found me and got me into the business. But it was never about the fame or fortune."
Asuka hadn't taken her eyes off him since the beginning of his statement but she finally turned away from him as she blushed slightly. She didn't like to admit that she always assumed certain things, though she knew she had a bad habit of it. Martial arts was something she loved to involve herself in and she thought any other form of fighting was useless or not worth her time. But the way this guy…Steve Fox, spoke about boxing…it was in the way she felt about her art.
"Sorry."
Steve looked at her a bit surprised, "No need to apologize, it wasn't what I was looking for. Just, open up your mind a bit more." The girl nodded as she took a sip of her water. "So, your friend is talking to Korie for you? What for, if you don't mind me asking?"
Asuka groaned, "It's embarrassing really."
"Oh I have a drunk friend in my VIP section that's old enough to be a great uncle of mine. Can't be more embarrassing than that haha."
His comment made her smile slightly, "Well…I don't mind sharing, but it won't help my situation. I've been low on funds and can barely pay my tuition fees along with rent on my small apartment. I've spent almost all of my savings on my family's dojo and now I'm looking for work so that I'm able to make my classes for the next semester."
"Wow, sounds like you're having a tough time. Wait so…are you trying to get work here?"
Asuka shook her head reluctantly. Steve looked around the club and he knew how well Korie took care of her girls because that's most likely what she'd be here if she didn't have skills as a bartender. He then thought about the one girl that was all over Paul and wasn't sure if she was just doing her job or was really into the man. Steve then tried to picture Asuka working as a service girl with a tight mini skirt, tons of make-up, expensive fragrance perfume and a well fitted shirt that showed a whole lot of cleavage…the boxer had to stop himself because he was starting to think that he would love to see her dressed up as such. It didn't fit her personality and she would surely knock out the first guy that came onto her; he couldn't help but chuckle.
"What's so funny?" She looked at him agitated.
"Oh uh, nothing." He composed himself, "You sure you want to work in a club?"
Asuka hunched her shoulders, "What other choice do I have. It's probably the quickest thing I can get."
"Do you know what you'll be doing?"
"I don't know. Cleaning toilets or something?"
Steve couldn't hold in his laughter which upset the girl slightly, "S-Sorry, I don't mean to laugh but, with a face like yours, there's no way Korie would have you cleaning anything."
"A face like mine?"
"You're too pretty to be a janitor." He didn't notice her slight blush at his statement. "You'll most likely be a service girl."
Asuka raised an eyebrow, "Like a waitress?"
"Not exactly. More like eye-candy for the VIPs or those that can afford it. You know, you'd flirt a little, drink a little, talk and laugh at all their stupid jokes."
"Ugh, really?!" the girl was appalled.
"Hey it's a living." Steve hunched his shoulders until something came to mind. "Hold on…this might not be your last resort. You like coffee right?"
"You can say that."
"I know this coffee-shop that just lost their morning barista girl and the manager is looking for a replacement."
Asuka didn't show it but she became a little excited on the inside; she always wanted to try being a barista…deep down inside that is. "And you can guarantee me the job?"
"Pfft, you're hired." Steve gave her a big smile.
"How? I didn't talk to the manager yet…"
"Ah, there you are." They both turned around to see Korie standing a couple of feet away from them along with a girl around Asuka's age who was excited to see the famous boxer.
"Hey Korie." Steve nodded his head her way.
"Looks like you've found my potentially new employee." The woman smirked as she folded her arms beneath her chest until the girl beside her gave her a nudge. Korie rolled her eyes, "This is my niece, Serenity"
"So I've heard."
"It's an honor to meet you Mr. Fox! I've seen all your fights a-and know all of your moves!" The girl could barely compose herself as Asuka shook her head in embarrassment.
Steve extended his hand out to Serenity to shake it, which was something she wasn't expecting, but she shook it happily, "The honor is all mine to meet the beautiful niece of a beautiful friend of mine."
"Please, ease up on the compliments love, I don't think Serenity here could live through it." Korie commented as the girl almost fainted, putting her arm around Asuka for support. The woman then turned in their direction, "As for you…"
"Sorry Korie, she's no longer interested." Steve replied
"Oh?" The woman raised an eyebrow at him.
"Yeah, she works for me now."
Asuka became stunned, "No I don't! You said you could get me a job at a coffee shop and…"
"The one that's fused with a gym?" Korie interrupted her.
"Huh? Gym?"
Korie then started to chuckle as she put one of her hands up to her mouth amused, "You're adorable, hehe, he owns that spot."
"He what?!" Asuka turned her attention to Steve who hunched his shoulders with a smile on his face.
"Lucky!" Serenity whined.
"Well, you win this round Fox." Korie walked up to him and ran her fingers through his hair. She then looked at Asuka, "You would've made me a lot of money here cutie." The comment made Asuka's skin crawl. The woman then left the three as she went her way to handle some other business.
"That's settled."
"Is it?" Asuka turned to Steve.
"What?"
"I don't want you doing any favors for me…"
"Mr. Fox." The party of three turned to a voice that interrupted them yet again. It was the woman who had been entertaining Paul.
"Is he passed out yet?" Steve asked.
"No Sir, but there's someone who wants to talk to ya."
"Can it wait?"
"I thought it could, but the broad was determined not to leave."
"Broad?" Steve raised an eyebrow.
{}
Steve walked into his VIP section and saw a woman seated on the white loveseat, her right leg crossed over her left. She wore some fitted black slacks with a white sleeveless blouse, black heeled boots on her feet while her white blonde hair hung a few inches pass her shoulders. Steve turned to Paul who seemed just as surprised as he was, hunching his shoulders.
"May I help you?"
"No you may not. That's my job."
The boxer became confused, "Excuse me?"
The woman sighed as she uncrossed her legs and sat herself up, "Didn't Mario tell you?"
"Mario? Tell me what?"
"I'm Katrina Hause, your new bodyguard."
Steve smirked a little amused, "I think you're mistaken Miss because I already have two bodyguards. There's no way Mario would waste money on a third, especially if they're unnecessary since I can take care of myself just fine."
The woman returned his smirk, "Well Sir, at this moment, you're down to one."
"What?" Steve's smirk immediately vanished, "Justin and William?"
"They've been put on leave."
"For what?"
She hunched her shoulders, "Who knows, I was just called to be the replacement."
Steve gritted his teeth as he pulled out his phone to look for Mario's number and call it. It rang for a few times before the man picked up, "Yo Steve my man!"
"Mario?" He turned away from the woman and Paul who ended up dosing off in the middle of their conversation. "Tell me you didn't get rid of Justin and Will?"
"What? Oh! No man haha! Those two are on vacation for a while so I got you a new one, a little eye-candy to help you through your ordeal."
Steve rolled his eyes, "I don't need a distraction like that. Anyway, since when do you let anyone go on vacation? What's going on?"
"Look my man, don't worry about it. For now, play nice with Katrina alright?"
"Fine." Steve sighed and rubbed his temples.
"Oh, and she goes wherever you go. No matter what you hear me?"
"Tch, if you say so."
"You can't give this one the slip Fox hehe, she's too good."
"Yeah yeah." Steve ended the call and turned back to face the woman who now folded her arms beneath her chest. "Looks like your story checks out."
"I get it, always on guard about who to trust."
The man walked over to her and looked her over, "Sometimes you can't be too careful."
Katrina smirked, "I know your track record Fox. I'm not like your other two guards that let you do anything you want."
Steve returned her smirk as he addressed the service woman who had just come back to place a glass of water near Paul who stirred in his sleep. "Hey Danni? Get a drink for the lady, it's going to be a long night.
{}
Someone leaned back in an office chair, sighing as they stared at a computer screen that held some footage of a night club and sound graphs. "We're in."
"Lucky girl." A woman who stood beside the individual smirked. "And she won't be found out?"
The man shook his head, "Nope. This is Katana's field and Katrina Hause is an alias used specifically to get close to celebrities and government officials."
"And what happened to his other bodyguards?"
"Like mentioned, they're on vacation."
The woman raised an eyebrow, "Seriously? We didn't take care of them?"
"We like to be thorough with the story we tell Ms. Bella, helps the mission run a lot more smoothly."
She hunched her shoulders, "That does seem like a smart way to cover your tracks Xack, but if I were you, I'd keep my eye on that assassin."
Xack smirked, "Oh believe me, Katana will not get caught. Even if she did, she knows how to take care of herself. No matter how lethal their assassin might be."

A/N: Yay! We've come to the end of Entry 15 and I hope you all enjoyed it. Seems like Steve was still sorting some things out with his recent breakup with Lili and even getting a "little" comfort from Nina surprisingly. Paul is still working with trying to get the truth about his friend. But is he going about it the right way? How do we feel about Mario and the club scene that Steve dragged Paul to? Lol. I enjoy writing things for Paul haha, he's just a character I can play around with and make him say/do the most ridiculous things. Thank you for any reviews/favs/follows and I'll see you come next entry where we'll highlight on some more things that happened in this chapter. Until next time! ^_^
