I'M BAAAACK!
*Hallelujah plays*
Sorry for the late start to this pick up, I kinda got distracted with cosplays and uni *sweatdrops*
Anyway, before we start, just an important heads up. I am fully aware most of you want me to follow the books rather than the movies, but I'm going to stick more to the movies rather than the books because it has been a long time since I touched the books (Also I borrowed them from a friend like 10 years ago so they are not in my possession), and if I did get my hands on them I'd have no time to skim through 700+ pages with uni on my tail.
BUT
I will defiantly put in what I remember from the books. Also keep in mind I am trying to balance FT with the HP world, and that's time consuming as it is. I don't want to disappoint you guys, that is the last thing I want to do, trust me. I will defiantly try my best to stick to the books but I can't make any promises I will stick word for word with it.
Anyway, let's do this!
"AaaaaaCHO!" Natsu sniffled as he tightened the cozy sheets around his body. His guildmates crowded around him like he was some sort of rare museum exhibit. "So Natsu's sick?" Gray sighed, bending into his face. "It seems he has a cold…" Lucy muttered, putting a hand to his forehead. "At least he doesn't have a fever." She sighed. "I do not have a cold! I'm a Fire Dragon Slayer! I slay my colds with fire!" Natsu argued, his voice forced out from his blocked nose. "Yeah right." Gajeel sighed, folding his arms.
"Yeah well- ACHOO!" Natsu sneezed once more, this time fire exploding on Lucy's face. "AAHHH! I'M ON FIRE! PUT ME OUT! PUT ME OUT!" Lucy screamed, flailing around the apartment. "Lucy! Hold still!" Gray exclaimed, putting his hands together. "Ice make… brick!" Lucy's head was suddenly encaged with ice. "Cold!" She cried. "I got it!" Gajeel extended his fist, and an iron beam cracking the ice and separated. Lucy, her face burt and scratched, kneeled on the floor crying. "I hate everything…" She muttered.
"Now that I think about it, I've never seen Natsu sick." Happy pointed out. "Huh?" Gray and Gajeel exclaimed, Lucy looking back up. "Really?" She asked. Everyone crowded around Natsu again, staring at him. "Now that I think about it… I've never seen him sick once." Gray realised. Natsu simply grumbled, looking away from everyone.
"Anyway, there's a chemist about ten to fifteen minutes away from here. I can go down and grab the medicine. You guys stay here and make sure he's resting." Lucy ordered as she put on an orange jacket and pink beanie. "Why do we have to look after him?" Gray whined. "Because I DON'T want to be set on fire again!" Lucy snapped, grabbing the door handle. "Look, just make sure he doesn't go anywhere and make sure he rests ok?" She sighed and walked through the door.
"Thank you for the medicine!" Lucy thanked as she exited the pharmacy. She took out the pills and took a look. She took a sigh and pocketed the medicine, making her way back to the apartments. She turned the corner, walking up to a bookshop. As she kept walking, a familiar face came out of the book shop, smiling as she turned to two older figures in their thirties to forties. Lucy stared for a bit, before calling out the girl's name.
"Hermione!"
Hermione turned around to the voice and smiled. "Lucy, these are my parents." She gave a smile and stepped back a bit for the formalities. "Oh lovely to finally meet you Lucy! Hermione's told us all about you!" Her mother greeted ecstatically as she took her hand and shook it. She then gasped at what she was doing and immediately stopped shaking her hand. She tucked a leg behind and gave a deep curtsey. "Your Highness."
"Eh?" Lucy gawked.
"Oh I'm so sorry! Is there a certain greeting you are used to? If so then I can try to-" Lucy smiled and shook her hand in front of her face. "Oh no no no it's quite alright." She reassured. Mrs Granger gave a sharp nod and stood up straight. Her husband stepped forward and gave a bow. "Pleasure to meet you Your Highness." He smiled. Lucy was a bit stiff, then curtseyed back, feeling a bit awkward.
"So Lucy, are your parents around? I'd love to meet them." Hermione asked, looking around. "Oh! No, it's just me." Lucy smiled. "Oh I see…" Hermione muttered. There was silence for a bit. Then Mrs Granger's face turned bright and stepped forward. "Lucy, why don't you join us for tea? We would love to get to know you." She asked. "Oh! I would love to, but I gotta get home. My neighbour's sick, so I need to get him some medicine." She sighed, pulling out the cold and flu tablets. "Oh dear… Well tell him that honey and ginger water helps." Mr Granger smiled. Lucy giggled and pocketed the box. "I will." She smiled and ran off.
"Well she seems lovely." Monica smiled, and grabbed Hermione gently by the shoulders. Hermione watched Lucy turn around the corner. Something didn't feel right. Just everything about Lucy felt… off. She didn't know what about her, just…. Everything.
A slender, beautiful woman dressed in brown cotton office clothes entered into the main reception to the Birth and Death Records of the Wizard Community. Her high heel shoes clacked with every step she took. As the hall was big and empty with only one desk at the front, every step echoed.
"Ahem." She coughed, the receptionist looking up. "I need a record for an upcoming case." The woman asked, giving the receptionist a document. The receptionist took the document and gave it a read through. She gave a sigh and handed the woman back the document. "Please stand in the middle of the room." She ordered.
The woman turned around and stood perfectly in the middle. Soon, she felt a pulling sensation, and the walls in the room began to melt away. As the walls and the room drooled away, the room began to clear into another large hallway, walls of gold, and mosaic patterns everywhere. Each side had thirteen doors with a letter on top of each door.
The woman felt a tug on her skirt. She looked down, an elf stepped back, holding his hands. "Hello ma'am, my name is Mops. Is there anything you need miss?" Mops asked. "Oh it's alright Mops, I can handle this. Although just to confirm, the letters are for the surnames correct? I'm new here." The woman smiled. The elf nodded. "Thank you Mops." The woman thanked as Mops hobbled away. As soon as the elf left, the woman's body flashed a white light.
Her body became smaller, her straight bunned up hair, wavy and free. Her office clothing into a jumper, black pants, and sneakers. The girl breathed from her transformation, revealing to be Hermione. She fiddled her wand and gave a small smile. "Thank you Professor Strauss." She muttered. She approached the door labeled "H" and stopped. She gave a sigh and shake her head. "I'm going to be expelled for this…" She muttered and enter the room.
As soon as she entered, a folder zoomed past her face. Hermione jumped back a bit, the wind pushing her hair in her face. She looked at the folder that just passed her and saw it fly up, joining other folders flying everywhere in the air, assorting themselves into the shelves with a paper sound. The ceiling was high, the shelf disappearing as it went higher and higher. The records room itself was like a maze. But luckily, Hermione didn't need to worry about wandering the maze.
She pulled out her wand and held it out. "Accio Lucy Heartfilia Birth Record." She chanted. She stood there for a good five minutes… but nothing came to her. Hermione tilted her head, confused as to why nothing came to her. She was sure that she chanted correctly and did the correct wand movements. She chanted again, but again nothing. "Alright….." She muttered. Now she needed to worry about getting lost in the maze.
She wandered down the records, looking for the "He" section which was very easy as it was the second section. She climbed the ladder and began to scan the names. "Hea, Heart, Heartia, Hectro?" Hermione suddenly stopped, her eyes widened in realisation. "Wait a minute…." She muttered. She double checked the names, making sure her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. But it wasn't.
There was no Heartfilia folder.
Ok, maybe she was getting ahead of herself. Maybe it was in a special room, or maybe with someone else. She gave a thinking face, and slid down the ladder and made her way towards the door. As she pushed the door open, her body transformed into her previous disguise. "Mops?" She called out.
A small elf excited a small wooden door from the end of the hall and stood in her presence. "Yes ma'am?" Mops asked. "I was wondering, do you have knowledge of every records in this facility?" She asked. "Of course ma'am. It is one of my many jobs to memorise every birth and death record." Mops smiled, hunching over and rubbed his hands together a bit.
"Well, is there a Heartfilia folder anywhere?" She asked. Mops widened his eyes a bit, then stepped back, hand on his chin. "No. In my many many years here, I never came across the name "Heartfilia."" Mops admitted, putting his hands together again. "W-What..?" Hermione gasped. "I'm sorry ma'am, but I have memorised every record that has come in. And there is no Heartfilia." Mops said again, then disappeared back into his little room. "Wait. If she doesn't exist then…" Hermione gasped sharply and ran into through the doors with the letter "D" above it. As she did, she released her disguise. Hermione sharply wiped out her wand and pointed it out to the shelves. "Accio Natsu Dragneel Birth Record!"
Nothing came to her.
"No… no please let this not be true…!" She tried again, but nothing came to her. Hermione gasped and dropped her she thought of all the times she talked with or about Natsu and Lucy.
"This is actually our first time meeting."
"Yeah she's a princess alright. Servants and a big house."
"Why have I never heard of the Dragneels or Heartfilias?"
"Lucy Heartfilia is a princess!"
"Our fathers are business partners."
"I'm half blood. Father insists on tradition."
She kneeled, hands to her head and mouth. "Lucy Heartfilia and Natsu Dragneel don't exist…. Then who…? Who has been studying with us?"
