Christel Heinsch groans a little in pain starting to wake up and she can see she is inside what looks like a container. She can feel her arms and legs also pinned with what looks like chains around them but she cant see where the ends of the chains are. It appears to end in the middle of the air above her head into the darkness. Christel could now hear sounds of someone or something approaching towards her. What came out from the darkness looked like a being wearing a hoodie with four arms sticking out of this hoodie look. The being stood right by the container that Christel is inside. "Well well Christel Heinsh. It appears these aliens requested your services to do their bidden" The being said to her then gave out a little chuckle. "Well we failed to gain possession of that planet of yours but I did not expect to have to face to a human like you so soon" The being says giving out another chuckle and soon stuck one of its four arms out towards Christel. The upper right arm soon gives out a purple aura which was so bright that's making her close her eyes. "Ah so your the daughter of someone who was at XCOM. Your father was killed by destroying our temple huh? How fascinating" The being says which makes Christel feel alarmed that it just found out who she is. "Well its a shame that I have to deal with you now and not when I try to take out your planet for good" It chuckles again and then Christel soon hears more sounds but see something approaching from behind the hooded figure. She soon sees two Mutons appears with large green and grey weapons in their hands and they are pointing them at her. "Well I couldn't just let them fire and kill you... Well not yet anyway" The hooded being says as it pulls out it's upper left arm with what looks like a thin device with a sharp point on one end. Christel looks down at it feeling like this weird object is going to be implanted inside her but she knows she is trapped and can't stop it from happening. The hooded being then opens up the container and approaches her pointing the device's sharp facing end to the side of her head. Christel then feels a sharp feeling the figure pushing the device into her head and it feels it being pushed in forcefully. Christel is screaming in huge pain as the device is sinking deeper into her skull but the hooded figure just suddenly stops pushing it inside.
"I hear intruders inside here. Kill them all!" It says as Christel then sees the Mutons nod and leave into the darkness. "Well Christel Heinsh it appears help is coming your way" It says then shakes it's head to her "No, they won't reach you alive" The hooded figure says to her as it then starts to push the device deeper inside her head making Christel scream loudly once more. While the device sinks even deeper inside her skull, Christel now hears gunfire nearby which must mean rescue is close to her. But she is sure it will be too late for help to come along the way, but soon the container suddenly completely shatters. She can feel some debris hitting her arms and her face which hurts her so badly mostly being her face. Christel closes her eyes tightly but then she opens them again, Christel sees the Cyberdisc that was taken for the mission in front of her while the hooded figure moves away from Christel and towards the Cyberdisc. Christel watches on feeling unsure what this figure is going to do to attack the Cyberdisc but she sees gunfire firing from behind the disc, hitting it which falls to the floor and exploded throwing pieces of debries towards the figure and Christel. She closed her eyes feeling feeling pieces of metal hitting her body, it feels just as bad by being stabbed by the pieces of the container that penetrated her skin.
Christel looks up to try see what was going on feeling her limbs still tied up with the feeling of shards impaled inside her body still. She could feel something grab her from behind pulling Christel onto her feet, then soon feels her arms and legs becoming free. She turned her head around seeing behind Christel was the Sectoid Commander. "Come on lets get you out of here now Christel" The Sectoid Commander says feeling it grab her armour. "Thanks for finding me, just in time" She says sounding weak from the pain in her body. Christel feels the Sectoid Commander starting to push her body forwards, she starts to walk but her legs feel very numb and weak like Christel is going to fall over from just trying to walk. She bites her lip a little to try avoid screaming in pain seeing the hooded figure in front of them on the ground moving to stand up again. "Come on, lets run before it gets up again" She says sounding worse than her last sentence feeling the Sectoid Commander holding her to stand still. She turns her head around seeing it hold its weapon down to the figure then sees the gun fired down to it. Christel reacts surprised from seeing the Sectoid Commander do so then she feels it starting to make her move again while she looks left to right to see anything the Commander would find useful.
Christel sees around her what feels to be similar to the base she is staying in to help the Sectoid Commander save the aliens and Cydonia "What... What was that back there? Is it the leader?" She asks feeling the pain in her legs worsening with each step. "That was the Ethereal responsible for all this Christel. I'm just glad we were able to track you down before that monster could kill you, our only hope to rescue Cydonia" It says as Christel could see the UFO ahead but falls to her knees, unable to feel them anymore. She could feel her body starting to feel numb entirely, her vision fading seeing other aliens run out the UFO approaching her before blacking out. She can hear sounds of aliens speaking very muffled unable to understand what is being said around her body. After what felt like a long time she can feel debris lodged in her body being pulled out her legs, arms and face each giving sharp pains for each one removed. The pain must have lasted for minutes until it slowly went away.
Christel manages to move her head a little then slowly managed to open her eyes seeing she is back in the medical bay back at the base. She could see the Chrysalid and the Viper next to where she was. "Hey human, I'm so glad your alive. I cannot believe that Ethereal caught you like that" The Viper says sounding enraged. Christel sits up a little to look at them better. "What happened? How did you manage to find me?" Christel asks wondering what had happened when she was knocked unconscious and when the rescue happened. "That was simple human, we managed to track you down by following the signal that we managed to intercept when that Ethereal tried to push the device inside you" She could hear the Sectoid Commander say making her turn her head around seeing it. "The Ethereal was shoving an implant into you to make you turn against us but when it was being pushed inside you, it gave away your position to find you" It says making Christel feel surprised that it she could've ended up becoming evil to the team who brought her to Cydonia in the first place. "Wait, so would it mean I would've turned against yous despite you bringing me here?" Christel asks trying to get her head around what she is being told about. "That is correct Christel. That was why we were quick to find you, we couldn't afford to let the Elder control you" The Sectoid Commander says then walks towards Christel. "You shouldn't rush back into combat right now Christel. You were a complete wreck when we got you back here. Guess shooting that Cyberdisc down was too close to the container, there was also that wound from the implant that was getting shoved inside you also" It then says nodding a little still in some pain from the shards and this implant that the hooded figure tried to lodge inside her head. "I better head off to plan our next move and also search for any of the Etheral's attacks" The Sectoid Commander then says as Christal sees it starting to walk off then suddenly feels the entire room shaking. She could feel her body hitting the floor seeing the Chrysalid and Viper on the floor also in front of her. "What is that?!" The Viper says sounding surprised. "I don't know, is this some kind of breach?! Did they follow the ships back here?!" The Chrysalid says grabbing Christel arm. "Hang in there human, don't let go!" It added while Christel finding it difficult to keep a grip of holding on.
