It had been some time that the base defence has ended, it must have been a few days since it happened. Christel pacing herself back and forth just waiting to hear if the Viper is still alive or has died from its injuries from the attack. "Christel" She hears the Sectoid Commander say approaching her. "I'm surprised about how you reacted to the Viper going down. It was something never done before" The Sectoid Commander says making Christel wonder if it is meaning the aliens don't actually attend to each other for medical aid. "Surprised to try save the Viper?" She asks wondering if it is actually what the Sectoid Commander is talking about. "Very much so Christel, something never seen before to us. An amazing reaction to a downed soldier" The Sectoid Commander making Christel surprised to hear that from it. "Something we can learn from you really" It adds then leaves while Christel headed into the room beside her pondering about the Commander's comments.
She could see the Viper still with that bandage that Christel had put on it when the Red Muton attacked it. Christel approaches the Viper to see how it was now. "Hey, how are you now? Are you feeling any better?" She asks looking at it which it replies by nodding a little making her feel relieved. "I'm really glad I could get you out of there alive, I was worried you would die" She says sitting next to the Viper. She looks at the Viper while Christel could feel the Viper place its hand on her shoulder. "The thing is now, where do we go from here now we actually managed to defend the base" Christel says wondering what might actually happen next. She looks at the Viper wondering if it might know since the Viper cannot speak for now.
It felt like a long time later until the Sectoid Commander came back and approach both of them. "Christel, I think we need to talk, its about Earth" The Sectoid Commander says making Christel think there is terrible news about what the Commander is talking about. She gets up and follows the Sectoid Commander to the Commander's room where the doors still haven't been repaired but then the base is still in a wreck after the base attack. "Christel, the Ethereal made a move that involved trying to overrun Earth" The Commander says making Christel reacted shocked and worried. "What? You mean it is going to invade Earth once again?" Christel says not sure what is truly going to happen to Earth now. "Not quite actually. What it has done is create an organisation called EXALT. It looks like XCOM will be busy dealing with them instead of T'Leth" The Sectoid Commander says making Christel react shocked that the Ethereal has managed to do such a thing. "Does that mean we got to go after the Ethereal to stop this EXALT?" Christel asks hoping it will be as simple as that. "I think if we take that Ethereal out then both our worlds should be saved. I am sure that will be the case" The Commander says making Christel unsure if killing the Ethereal will stop EXALT. "I can sense your worried Christel, I assure you T'Leth will keep track of their every move" The Sectoid Commander says making Christel think of an idea. "Would it be possible if they could hand over to XCOM some information about this EXALT?" She asks hoping the answer would be yes. "Sorry Christel, XCOM has made it impossible for such a thing to be possible. Those at T'Leth will need to tackle with EXALT. But I promise if XCOM gets in the way and goes after them, they will be unharmed and just be merely stunned" She could now hear the Gillman say in her head making Christel wondering what exactly will they do to XCOM soldiers.
"There are very few of us left after that assault Christel. I think it is now time we went after the Ethereal now. The Viper can come with us along with the Chrysalid and Mechtoid. I will leave that choice to you, do you think it should come along?" The Sectoid Commander says to Christel which she immediately responds by nodding. "No question about it Commander. We are in this together to end this war and to save Earth" Christel says determined to save Cydonia and her home planet. "As you wish Christel. Head to the UFO and we will be there" The Sectoid Commander says as Christel soon heads up to the room where the UFOs are kept but she sees only one is intact from the attack, it was the largest UFO she has ever seen. She walked closer to it astonished by the UFO's size.
"You seem very surprised seeing the Battleship human." She hears someone says as she turns her head around seeing the Sectoid Commander, the Viper, Mechtoid and the Chrysalid approach her. "Are we the only people alive Commander?" The Mechtoid says looking at the Sectoid Commander to which it nods making Christel feel nervous that only five of them are alive now. "This is our only chance to save Cydonia and end this war once and for all" The Commander says heading inside the very large UFO with Christel following inside with the rest of the team. She sits down next to the Chrysalid and the Viper with her hands on her knees pondering about EXALT. She could feel both aliens place their hands on each shoulder making Christel look at the Viper and Chrysalid who were looking at her. "Human. Do not worry, once that Ethereal goes down, your world shall be saved" The Chrysalid says making Christel start to feel a little bit of reassurance that Earth might be saved.
"So how are we going to do this assault to end this war?" Christel asks looking at the Sectoid Commander who was flying the UFO. "Well the Chrysalid will be in front of us since it can attack and potentially zombify any of them. Me, the Viper and Mechtoid shall be behind to open fire and to protect the Chrysalid if unable to attack. You will be behind us which will mean you are protected by us" The Sectoid Commander says feeling like it would be a good idea but at the same time feels unsure if the Chrysalid will be truly protected from harm. "I'm up for this assault. It is time to make the Ethereal pay for attacking us and for enslaving us to take over Earth!" The Viper says sounding determined to which she could hear the Chrysalid and Mechtoid say the word "Yeah" also sounding determined. "You know what? I am in also. I hope I can give you as much help as I can to finally put a stop to all this" Christel then says feeling hopeful and determined. "That's the spirit Christel. OK found the base again. Going to land it now" The Sectoid Commander says as Christel puts back on her Psi Armour after seeing it was onboard the UFO but has no idea how it got there. She grabs her Plasma Sniper Rifle while seeing the Viper grab its green and grey weapon.
"OK team. This is our only chance to end this war once and for all. Let's do this" The Sectoid Commander says the aliens and Christel exits the large sized UFO as they headed to the entrance with the Chrysalid in front of the group. Christel takes a deep breath waiting for the door to be opened to start the assault. Christel could then see the Chrysalid open the door and ran inside with the Viper and Mechtoid following behind it. The Sectoid Commander then entered the base with Christel following behind with her Plasma Sniper Rifle ready to take on the assault.
