A/N: Been meaning to do another Gaiden. Originally, I was going to have a prequel tie-in for The West Coasters, but that's been put on hold for now. Instead, I'm doing a Neos United tie-in based on LazerWulf's plot bunny.
For those caught up and have read my recent Neos United fic, Daiki, son of Ami and Vega, revealed a new Helbot with a complete cybernetic makeover. The new Helbot was also used in action and saved Daiki from a disaster. Helbot seemed to have developed a protective nature in regards to Daiki.
Well, this Gaiden shall entail how Daiki revamped Helbot into his personal fembot and show a personal connection between the two - but no love; Helbot can't/shouldn't have those kind of feelings now anyway.

Daiki Gaiden: A Neos United Tie-In

Daiki Mizuno-Hunter was a completely normal boy whose sister happened to be a superhero. Well, relatively normal, at least. He is the son of two superheroes, Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury and Warrior of Wood Vega Hunter. Daiki stands being the only normal in a family of super-powered heroes. Being a male, Daiki couldn't inherit his mother's Mercury power; instead, his twin sister, Amaya, took up the honors as the next Sailor Mercury. He also couldn't inherit his father's Spirits since they aren't hereditary and have been sealed.
Without a power inheritance, Daiki was left to utilize his engineer genius and craftsmanship to build devices. Give him any form of gadget or tech device, he'll forge anything that he sets his mind to. He and his sister are on par with one another in terms of intelligence, but Daiki is more adept in robotics and engineering. His sister, although just as good, doesn't put nearly as much time and dedication to his body of work. Her expertise is programming and hacking.
Just in his recent trip to the past with his sister and friends to stop Paradais, he returned with valuables to add to his assortment of works. He took parts of a Rajita mech and forged himself an armor akin to Iron Man's suits. He named the suit his Hermes Armor. The other valuable he brought back from the past.
Well, this valuable was another Rajita creation, but this one he would soon grow a personal attachment to: a certain AI who once had a sole purpose to impersonate a Kuiper Senshi for the Neo-Rajita.
But, those days are long gone and Daiki intends to give her a new purpose.

Garage/Mizuno-Hunter Residence/June 30, 3009/8:45 PM
After dinner, Daiki returned to his workshop in his family's garage. He had a desk cluttered with junk taken apart from devices and a visual screen showing the internal system of a cybernetic being.
"Ok, Helbot, I'm back. You can get off the table now," Daiki instructed cyborg, who still retained physical attributes of one Helena Souza/Sailor Quaoar.
The AI complied and sat up clothed in a black leather bodysuit. She stood right in front of Daiki and stared at him with a blank glare.
Rubbing his chin, Daiki closely examined Helbot. He gave her a thorough close-up examination on the front.
"Stretch out your arms."
Helbot did as instructed and had her arms straightened. Daiki checked her arms. He did the same with her legs, back, and rear. He looked her dead in her lifeless doll eyes and snapped his fingers in front of her face. She didn't blink once.
"Very good, Helbot. You're still in working order, but with Crystal Tokyo era-tech I have no doubt I can enhance you... and perhaps we can consider you changing your looks..." He grinned and marveled over the craftsmanship that made Helbot.
"Wow, never thought I'd say this, but agreed, she's due for a makeover," came the snooty and reserved tone belonging to Amaya Mizuno-Hunter.
Daiki glanced over to see Amaya standing against the garage door and had her arms folded. She walked past Daiki and closely examined Helbot, whose left eye barely shifted to look at her. Amaya shuddered and backed off.
"It's creepy that this thing still has Helena's appearance! It's a good thing our future Helena hasn't stopped by to see this."
"Don't worry, sis. I've already decided to give her a long overdue makeover."
"Good, because I don't think I can stand seeing her look like Helena. God everything about her now is creepy." Amaya turned around and walked out. "Don't forget to turn off the lights and lock up here if you decide to sleep tonight."
"Yeah, yeah..."
Amaya stopped beside the door and looked over her shoulder. She quietly sighed. "Look, you shouldn't fall behind on your studies. You don't want mom hounding you again, do you?"
"I still got straight As."
"See? It's that carefree attitude that ticks me off so much about you! Do you even take anything in academics seriously? Yes, we're both genius prodigies and we're the school's top scoring students..."
"I get it, sis. You don't have to remind me!" Daiki retorted, picking up a prodding tool to test Helbot's reflexes.
"I just don't want you to get too lax and start falling behind is all. I give you a hard time, but only cause I care... oh, whatever. At least thank me for setting up Administrative Access to her AI. My hacking skills continue to be uncontested. Anyway, goodnight."
Amaya closed the door behind her and left Daiki to continue his work. He pulled up a visual that displayed all his favorite music tracks. He shuffled through and let it pick a random song.
(Cue AC/DC – Back in Black)
"Perfect random choice."
The young genius prodded Helbot's right arm and watched her twitching her fingers. Helbot looked at her own hand and balled her hand into a fist. The cyber doll then opened her hand and moved her fingers around.
"Ok, Helbot, I've installed a new Energy Shield Generator and Cloaking Device in your internal system." Daiki informed Helbot. "We'll give a test run a go." He stepped back and picked up a wrench. "Ok, let's see how effective your new Energy Shield Generator goes." He threw the wrench at Helbot, who quickly reacted and created an energy field that repelled the wrench.
Helbot and Daiki pivoted their heads over to the burnt wrench laying on the ground.
"Whoa! Nice!" Daiki reacted ecstatically. "Ok, next, initiate cloaking state."
With that, Helbot activated her cloak ability and her whole body blurred out. Daiki clapped and watched her undo her cloaking.
"The new installments look to be in working order, Daiki."
"Indeed, but remember you won't be able to cloak and use an energy shield at once."
"Understood. Are we done testing?"
"Not quite yet, Helbot. You know how I was prodding you and testing your reflexes? I might be considering overclocking your strength and reflexes. I know with you being cybernetic, your strength is much greater than normal humans. But, I think I can increase your strength levels."
Helbot nodded. "I see. Then, by overclocking me, I'll be certain to overcome my limitations."
"With due time, Helbot, let's take this one step at a time. We'll work on that later. But, most importantly, it's about time you alter your outward appearance so you finally gain an identity for yourself."
"What do you want me to do?"
(End song)
After turning off his music, Daiki mulled over this momentarily and smirked. "Ok, I have a question for you, Helbot."
"What do you wish to inquire?"
"Well, ok, let me rephrase that..." Daiki recollected his thoughts. "Work with me here, Helbot. I'm curious to know how you impersonated Helena to begin with. Moreover, I'd like to know why you were told to look like her."
Helbot replied, her eyes settling on Daiki. "I was ordered by the Rajita scientist, General Toad, to take on Helena Souza's likeness to replace her while she's taken captive in the Neo-Rajita stronghold."
"I get that."
"I was originally just a drone with no real purpose. I was selected to be part of General Toad's experiments. He put me in a chamber and supplied me with synthetic skin. He then installed an instrument that gives me my shapeshifting ability."
Nodding, the teen remembered seeing a device that caught his eye. "Yes, I did notice some tiny instrument inside your chest. That must be the mechanism that allows you to turn into anybody of your former master's and your own accord."
"If you wish for me to alter my appearance, then I will do that if you want me to."
"Yeah, but where to start?" Daiki mulled, rubbing his chin. "Hmm." A devious smirk adorned his face. "Start by taking on my sister's likeness."
"As you wish..." Helbot complied as her Helena appearance morphed into Amaya Mizuno-Hunter. Her olive complexion became slightly fair skin and her hair shortened into a shoulder length. Her dark brown hair turned into a fine mix of blue and purple. She opened her now blue eyes and gently smiled. "How is this?"
"Wow! You weren't kidding you can change to anyone you want?!" Daiki became giddy with having a shapeshifting cyborg on his side. He examined her thoroughly and was awestruck by Helbot's Amaya likeness. "You look so much like my sister, it's scary!"
Helbot maintained her blank stare and gentle smile.
Man, Amaya you might be right about creepy... I can't see you looking at me like that. Daiki thought, scratching the back of his head. "Ok, Helbot, change into Usa next."
Complying to Daiki's command, Helbot shapeshifted into Usa. Her blue hair turned pink and she gained Usa's trademark big buns complete with long pigtails hanging down. Her eyes turned red.
"So, cool..." Daiki was impressed. And to think I had a crush on you, Usa.
"Do you find my ability impressive?"
"Yes, you really do take on the likeness of another person. Can you gain their personality?"
"No, I can't. I would need to interact with the person I'm impersonating and scan their memory banks."
"I see. Ok, change into Koori."
Helbot shapeshifted into the Koorime half-breed. The buns on her head popped off and flowed with her cascading hair. Her pink hair turned into green mint and lengthened, cascading over her back. Her eyes stayed red. Her skin became slightly more paler.
"Awesome," whispered Daiki. "Now turn into Ai."
The cyborg turned into Ai. Her mint green hair turned dirty blonde and cascaded down her back. Her eyes turned blue.
"Perfect, now change into Umi."
Helbot's Ai form converted into Umi. Her long hair became sea green. Her height was adjusted to match Umi's tall stature. Her physique also put on some muscle tone to match Umi's body type. Her fair complexion became tanned.
"Damn, you even adjust your body and height."
"And weight, too."
"That Rajita scientist might've been evil, but he did ingenious work on your design."
"Ok, let's see who else you can change to..." He showed Helbot some pictures of the Sailor Quartet.
Helbot changed from Umi and became CereCere, adjusting her height (and converting skin complexion) and shrank to down to match CereCere's form. Her sea green hair became CereCere's pink. She then turned into PallaPalla. Then, she became JunJun. She turned into VesVes.
"Ok, return to default Helbot form."
The cyborg changed back to Helena and waited for further instructions.
Hmm, she can change her form into anyone. Even better if her mechanism lets her adjust to match the height, weight, and physical attributes of the person she's mimicking. The teen mulled over his choices. Decisions, decisions. Wait... what if I tried taking certain attributes from each of my friends to give her a new form?
Helbot stood waiting for Daiki's next command.
"Ok, Helbot, let's only work on the face right now."
"Just the face?"
"Yes."
"Where do you want me to start with?"
"I'm looking at an amalgamation of my friends' distinguishing features to make up your new face. Let's finally make you a 'new you'. First..."
As Daiki guided Helbot through, he started by commanding her to morph her nose to look like Amaya's. She gave herself Usa's mouth. Her eyes became Ai's blue. She morphed her cheeks and chin to match Koori's. She gained Umi's ears. She converted her complexion to match CereCere's fair skin. She gave herself PallaPalla's hands and feet. She adjusted her body further, giving herself JunJun's bust and VesVes' hips. She finally adjusted her height to match Daiki's.
"Hmm, let's see what else we can do now..."
"Master Daiki, I have an inquiry."
"Oh? What is it?"
The cyborg lowered her eyes over Daiki's cybernetic left arm.
"What happened to your arm? How did you lose it?"
Daiki's heart wrenched as he gripped his left arm. Lifting his left arm, he clenched his hand making a fist. He had a saddened look on his face, recalling the exact day he had his lost arm replaced for a mechanical one.
"Master Daiki?"
"I don't often like to tell that story, but since you're curious..." He sounded hesitant. He stared at his mechanized arm and shut his eyes. "It happened when I was 13. Me, my sis, and our friends were the middle of a battle with some bad guys. They were mutants of some kind... maybe part-demons... well, me being the one non-powered hero thought he could handle something beyond my abilities..."

Flashback/2.5 years ago/January 3007
The Neo Senshi had been actively pursuing mutants that raided jewelry stores and banks. They also been reported to attack a nursing home. Police weapons failed to stop these monsters, prompting the Sector Security's authorities to ask Neo-Queen Serenity to send for the Sailor Senshi.
The Neo Senshi were summoned to handle this crisis. Sailor Neo Moon returned from the past with the Sailor Quartet to lead the Neo Senshi by example. Amaya, Koori, Ai, and Umi suited up into Sailor Senshi. RJ, Ryuuhi, and Adam were asked to accompany them. Daiki, the odd guy out without powers, wouldn't take no for an answer and use his technical devices to give him a fighting chance.
(Cue Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds OST – Enemy Attack (0:27-4:50))
As the Neo team subdued most of the mutant criminals, the leader transformed into a giant crocodile-like monster. The crocodile beast bellowed and swung its tail, forcing the Neo Senshi and Neo Detectives back.
"Man, like I didn't see this coming!" RJ sardonically said.
"Be watchful of his jaws, everyone!" Sailor Neo Moon exclaimed.
"Can't believe this used to be a human," Sailor Summoner Venus was baffled by the monster's immense size.
"Well, that's what happens when some nutcase thinks he can make super soldiers with genetic splicing of different species. That's the cause of these recent mutation experiments," Cyber Mercury finished scanning the behemoth with her visor. "Our best bet is to subdue him with our attacks."
"Then, what are we waiting for then?!" Sailor Battle Jupiter popped her knuckles and bumrushed the beast. She threw a massive lightning bolt into the beast's eye, inflicting damage and rendering him half blind.
The giant crocodile roared and expelled a mouth blast. The Neo Senshi and Detectives spread out. RJ fired his Spirit Gun on the beast's left side, knocking him over. Ryuuhi took out his sword and cut through the behemoth's hide. Sailor Blue Mars unleashed ice fire that scorched its belly.
The giant reptile flipped over on its feet and fired spikes from its back. The Sailor Quartet quickly intercepted and combined their powers to form an energy shield, protecting them and the young heroes.
"Nice try, Mr. Crocodile!" Sailor Pallas said in a sing-a-long tone.
"Please, is this all you've got?!" Sailor Vesta shouted.
"Our job is to protect the kids, ladies," Sailor Ceres said, pivoting over to Neo Moon. "Go for it!"
Readying her Moon Stick, Neo Moon aimed and pointed toward the crocodile beast. However, the beast saw through Neo Moon's strategy and shifted over on its right.
"Oh no, you don't!" Daiki shouted, taking out a cannon and firing a laser that struck the mutant's face. It did enough damage to burn half his face. "Got him! I've got him set up for you, Neo Moon!"
But, the irked beast shifted its sight on Daiki and bumrushed him with murderous intent.
"BRO! GET OUT OF THERE!" Cyber Mercury shouted. "Shit!" She bolted forward and readied a water blast.
"Cyber Mercury!" The Neo Senshi shouted as they chased after her.
"Daiki, move!" Neo Moon cried out. She and the Quartet hurried forward to intercept the giant mutant from attacking Daiki.
"Oh crap!" Daiki yelled, narrowly escaping the jaws of death. However, as he turned, he lost his footing and fell. "Damn it!" He hit the ground. Near him on his left was the cannon. "I'll show y'all I'm not incapable!" He snatched the cannon, but as he grabbed it...
...the beast bit off his left arm! The mutant reptile walked away with the boy's arm and left Daiki screaming in pain. It was a very heart wrenching sight for Cyber Mercury, who wasted no time blasting the mutant with a water burst. She made a quick sprint to her brother.
"Daiki! Oh god...!" Cyber Mercury saw the amount of blood he was losing. "Guys, we need to get him to our family hospital!"
"You son of a bitch! You're gonna pay for that!" RJ was heard blasting the giant mutant.
"Take him down!" Adam was heard in the background.
(End theme)
The next thing Daiki knew his whole world blacked out and he could only discern the commotion in the background, which sounded like Neo Moon had subdued the mutant behemoth with a magic blast.
"Daiki, stay with me! Daiki! Brother!" Cyber Mercury's screams fell on deaf ears.

Crystal Tokyo Hospital/Emergency Room
Daiki reopened his eyes and saw the ceiling of the hospital rolling across. The horrible pain from his severed arm awoke him. He barely made out the the familiar settings of his family's hospital. On his right, he saw an African woman in a white coat. On his left, he saw his mother, Ami Mizuno-Hunter, looking ever worried for him. The thought she could lose her son as a result of hemorrhage.
'Mom... dad... sis... sorry... for being such an idiot and not thinking things through...' He quickly coughed, causing them to panic.
"Jami, we need to work fast and stop the bleeding!"
"Don't worry, we have the tech necessary that's saved countless who might've died from blood loss!"
Daiki once again blacked out as Ami cried out to him tearfully.

Hospital Room 115/Five Days Later
He opened his eyes again and found himself laying in a hospital bed. He clarified his blurry vision and saw he was in one of the patient rooms of his family's hospital. He groaned still feeling the effects of the anesthetic drugs he had been given.
"...I'm alive...?"
"Daiki!" Several voices called out, trying to get his attention.
(Cue Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds OST – Joy)
The cries elicited a shocked reaction as he turned over to see his whole family by his side. His parents, Ami & Vega, and Amaya. The other Neo Senshi were present as well as Jami.
"Guys... you're all here..."
"Of course, we'd be! Why wouldn't we be?!" Amaya shouted. "You had us all scared! I..." She started tearing up in front of Daiki. "...I thought you wouldn't make it, stupid Daiki." She grabbed his right hand.
"We're just relieved you're still with us, dude!" RJ called out.
"Yes, but thankfully the advances of medicine and tech in our time has improved," Adam added.
"My prayers were answered," Usa said, walking over by Daiki's bedside. "Me and my family prayed for your speedy recovery."
"You were all worried for me...?"
"Duh, you're part of the team, silly!" Ai said.
"Yeah, and we're like a big family," Umi replied. "Anyone within our circle gets hurt, we look out for them."
"The mutants... what happened...?" Daiki almost neglected to ask.
"Taken into custody and locked up in Sector Security's Facility," Vega answered. "Don't worry, Daiki. Those assholes won't be getting out for a long time."
"Yeah, they've got them locked up really tight!" Ceres reassured the young man.
Relieved, Daiki let out the tension he had. "Thank god for that. Man, I don't even feel much pain..."
"Thanks to the anesthetics," Ami said, kissing Daiki's forehead.
"Yes, and these anesthetics were mixed with my toxins, creating a more potent medicine to help you recover quicker," Jami revealed. "My poisons have created effective antidotes that've saved countless patients."
Ami's motherly instincts emerged as she cried and hugged Daiki. "I'm just happy we didn't lose you. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you!"
Daiki could only embrace his mother with his only arm. "It's my fault... for trying to be a hero... I thought I could prove someone without super powers like sis and the others can make a different in a fight..."
"Sometimes, you just gotta know your limits," RJ said.
"Your gadgets and devices that helped us plenty, Daiki, but you were acting before thinking in this situation," Koori walked over and placed flowers by Daiki. "That's not like you, Daiki. You and Amaya are our analytic duo."
"Yeah, but I acted brashly... kinda like dad and RJ would..."
Vega cleared his throat. "Hey!"
RJ scoffed. "Geeze, I'm brash but at least I got moves that would've turned that giant monster into paste!"
"What do you hope to do now that you're a one-armed guy?" PallaPalla asked him, which got him a light slap in the back of the head from JunJun. "Ow! Hey what was that for?"
"Be mindful and think before you speak!" JunJun chided her sister.
"Oh, sorry! I didn't think about Daiki's feelings."
"It's ok. I know what I am," Daiki addressed everyone. "I'm no good to you in battles, guys. With one arm, what can I do? The best I can do is operate behind the scenes to help you guys and still work on devices the best I can..." He looked at the bandage area that used to be his left arm. He shed a tear and smiled. "I paid the price for my lack of foresight in battle."
"Is there anything we can do, Daiki?" CereCere asked.
"No, not at the moment."
(End theme)
"Daiki..." Before Amaya could say anything more, Daiki gave her a dismissive nod.
"You don't need to say anything, sis. You're a superhero, I'm not..."
"That doesn't change the fact that we're still siblings and an inseparable team! You helped us bring down that last mutant and sacrificed an arm to do... as stupid as you were, that was an act of heroism I don't think I can ever match. Even with all the powers mom passed over to me..."
Ami smiled and put an loving arm around her son. "You'll always be a hero to me, my son."
"What will you do? Continue living on with just one arm?" Ryuuhi inquired to his colleague.
"Well, see... since I've already been building devices before I went into kindergarten, I'm just now grasping the concept of robotics."
Amaya bit her lip. "What are you implying?" She noted a smirk etched on her brother's features. "Daiki, you're already considering..."
(Cue Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds OST – Sympathy)
"If you guessed making a prosthetic limb then you guessed right, Amaya. Mom, dad, you know there's been many who have replaced limbs from accidents with robotic limbs. With me and sis working together, we can build me the perfect cybernetic limb for me."
"So, you're going to be our own Edward Elric, huh?" RJ joked.
"At least Daiki's not short," Usa giggled.
Deedee the bat chimed in, landing on Adam's right shoulder. "I say go for it! If you two put your minds to it, you can make something great out of this."
"Mom? Dad?" Daiki turned to his parents. "Is it ok?"
"Under the condition that I help," Ami stated. "Since I've been developing mechanized suits for Neo-Queen Serenity's, I can lend my engineering expertise to help you design a strong prosthetic arm."
Vega added, nodding. "You heard your mother. If she's ok, I'm good with it!"
"Do you mind if I assist?" Jami offered.
"Sure, Jami, we'd appreciate the help," the blue-haired woman accepted her colleague's offer.
"My son's gonna have a cybernetic arm. Don't know what to say about that, but hey, who knows? It might just be what you need to fight alongside the others..."
"Daiki's prohibited from missions until I see fit," Ami stated, glancing over to Vega. "Don't try encouraging him to go out when he hasn't fully recovered."
"Sorry, honey..." Vega backed off from Ami's cool and collective glare. "It's times like this I wish I still had access to my Wood Spirits, Daiki."
"It's fine, dad. You and other Legendary Warriors sealed the Spirits away a long time ago since peace came to our world. I don't need the Spirits when I can make my own devices." He turned to Amaya and nodded. "Right, sis?"
"Let's make you a new arm, bro."
The Mizuno-Hunter siblings sealed the deal with an embrace.

Waziri Clinic/Six Weeks Later
Following several weeks of rehab, Daiki and his family met with Jami to attach the new cybernetic arm to his body. Daiki and Amaya's near flawless designs were improved upon by Ami. Daiki finalized the final design and brought the cybernetic arm to be attached to where his left arm used to be.
"Ok, are you ready, Daiki?" Ami asked as Jami had the cybernetic arm ready to attach to Daiki.
Daiki bit down on a mouth guard. "Let's do this!"
"Ok! On my count! One, two... THREE!" Ami shouted.
Daiki let out a high-pitched scream as Jami pushed the cybernetic limb through a metal socket joint. Daiki's face and body was covered with sweat while he recovered from the pain. Jami supplied him with her anesthetics to nullify the pain.
"You'll be nauseated, but you should be fine in a few hours. I recommend plenty of rest," Jami instructed Daiki.
"Thanks, Doctor Waziri."
"Sure," the Nigerian nodded.
Amaya checked over Daiki's cybernetic left arm. "Man, can't believe our craftsmanship gave you a new arm. How's it feel?"
"I'm not getting any feeling yet," Daiki tried moving his fingers. "It'll take me time, but I'll get used to this."
"Just remember we're going to have to give it maintenance," Ami reminded him. "Me and Amaya can help with that."
"Understood, mom," Daiki said, slowly lifting his left arm. He raised it to the ceiling and examined the arm's metallic form. "With time, this arm will definitely come in handy when I start building things again. Y'know, maybe me losing my arm could be the best thing to happen to me."
"C'mon, don't say that..." Amaya paused, noticing her brother smiling.
(Cue Toonami Beats – Architec)
Daiki accepted the cybernetic arm he's been gifted with and in inner peace. She couldn't help but smile with him.
"Ok, after a day's rest, I'm going to do some training with dad to test my new arm. Then, it's back to forging things again!" Daiki said with a renewed outlook on his life with a cybernetic arm.

"Yep, that's how I got my cybernetic arm," Daiki proudly showed off his left arm to Helbot, who examined it.
Helbot nodded. "For you to go through great lengths to create a new arm to replace the one which you've lost... I have a new level of admiration for you, Master Daiki."
"Hah, Helbot, you don't need to call me master!" He said modestly.
"No, I wish to call you by such. I am your instrument..."
"No, you're own own individual, Helbot, but suit yourself if you want to keep calling me master," he said while examining her. "Something's still not right."
"What's wrong, Master Daiki?"
Daiki examined Helbot meticulously and noticed her still having Helena's dark black and brown hair.
"Your hair. We need to give you a new hair color... but what color." He mulled for a minute until he finally decided. "Make your hair shoulder-length cut." He watched as Helbot's hair pushed up and adjusted to a shoulder-length cut. "Now let's make your hair purple."
Nodding, Helbot's hair converted from Helena's hair color to purple to complete the makeover.
"The purple makes you look like Motoko Kusanagi."
"Who is that?"
"Just a character from an anime series. Ghost in the Shell don't ring any bells?"
"No, Master Daiki, sorry."
"No worries. By the way, I keep calling you Helbot, but you look nothing like her anymore. I suggest we give you a name, unless you had a name? What were you called before? Did that Toad guy give you one?"
"No, he never did. I never had a name, just a serial number. I was known as 4815162342."
Daiki nodded. "I see. For sure, I want to give you a name so you're not just a serial number. I've completed your new individual look, you just need an identity. A name people can call you by."
Helbot stood shifting her eyes back and forth, following Daiki back and forth pacing.
"Jenny? Nah. Rosie? No, don't think so. EVE? Decent, but there's better. Galatea? Nope. Cameron? A good name, but not for you. Maybe Seven of Nine..." Daiki went off drawing names from his favorite Sci-Fi shows and movies featuring female robots. "Gally? No. Naomi... Melfina... KOS-MOS..." After a few more names, he gave up and sat down. "Sorry, but can you settle with just Helbot for now until we find the appropriate name that fits?"
"As you wish. I can wait."
(End theme)
"All right, next remember the overclocking thing I mentioned?"
"Yes."
"I figure if you go beyond your limits the components inside you will overheat and require a cool down period to allow you to recover your strength. Now, even though you're based on alien tech, the tech in our time is still more advanced. After all, Rajita tech has long been integrated with our tech."
"So, the tech in Earth's future is based from Rajita's?"
"Yeah, so adjusting your systems should be easy for me. Well, at least for geniuses like me, sis, and our mom."
Helbot replied. "I'm glad to be in the company of someone who can give me an individuality and a creator I can admire, unlike my previous creator." She looked at his left arm again and looked up at him again. "Building yourself a replacement arm brings you closer to understanding us machines. Thank you, Master Daiki."
"It's nothing. Besides, I'm the one who wanted to bring you to this time. I feel this is where you belong."
"If you feel this is where I belong, then I accept my new home."
Daiki approached Helbot and hugged her. Helbot, unable to convey emotions beyond blank stares and a doll-like smile, merely stared off at the wall. He pulled away and admired his work on Helbot's new appearance.
Barging in again, Amaya poked her head to see Daiki lovingly admiring his handiwork.
Shaking her head, she merely scoffed at her brother's behavior. "You are so weird. This is why you don't have a girlfriend." She closed the door.
Daiki overheard his sister and rolled his eyes. He smiled to his fembot, adamantly declaring her to be his partner. "Ignore her, Helbot. I think we're going to be one inseparable team."

A/N: Finally, a Gaiden entry done and it took a few months later to do it! Not bad considering all the other projects I have and indecisiveness of choosing the next Gaiden entry. I'm helping finish LazerWulf's West Coasters Gaiden and that will be released when its ready.
This could be considered a prequel to Neos United since it does cover Daiki and Helbot's relationship. Helbot has been given the new look she bears in Neos United. And the overclocking thing does come into play when she saves Daiki by catching a collapsing building.
All those names (and a ton of Sci-Fi references) Daiki could've given her, but one will be given. And please for those who might've caught in NU Chapter 3, I've taken it out since her new name wasn't supposed to be revealed yet. So, no spoiling if you read that chapter on its initial release day. Thanks and show courtesy to LazerWulf for it since he came up with the name.
Big reveal: Daiki losing his arm. He mentioned in Dawn of Chaos chapter 4 when he, Amaya, and the Neo Senshi visited their families in the present. What do you think of that flashback reveal? Daiki's cockiness cost him an arm, but that learning experience made him wise up some and take on the responsibility of maintaining Helbot.
Initially Daiki was solely going to be an Expy of Forge from X-Men. Now, he's still Forge, but since building the Hermes Armor, he's started building suits like Tony Stark would. So, making him part-Forge and part-Tony. He has Ami's kindness and intellect, but his father's proud and stubborn nature. And he's often butting heads with his sister Amaya and calling each other all kinds of expletives in the dictionary (much like Tike and Kara from the D3/Digimon Fusion Kai series).
Giving him the Hermes Armor and Helbot allows him to fight alongside his sister and friends, who all have super powers of some kind. He's now able to keep up with them and no longer hindering them. We'll see how far his creative engineering and robotics skills will take him. Hermes Armor Mark II forthcoming? Perhaps.
Surprise, Jami Waziri/Sailor Ixion makes an appearance in the future! Yes, by this point, she and Ami are prestigious medical doctors in Crystal Tokyo, and amongst the best in the world. Their hard work has truly paid off.
Yes, that Sector Security's Facility is the same one from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds. Just a reminder, in this series, Crystal Tokyo and 5Ds co-exist in the same future.
Well, that does it. There may be another Neo Senshi solo story. I have considered doing one for Koori visiting the world of the ice maidens, but we'll see where inspiration and free time takes me. This would be a good way to further flesh out the Neo Senshi's personalities and back stories.
Hope you enjoyed this Gaiden. It's a nice distraction while I keep The West Coasters and Neos United going.
