Far away from Fiore or the Ishgar and Alvarez continent, a country called Japan was blooming as the sun shined brightly through the cities and towns. Summer vacation had just ended for a lot of the students and school had just started back up again. The weekend had just ended and the servants at Suoh estate were preparing to send their young master to his school, Ouran Academy. However, what was thought to be a normal day, wasn't going to be as normal as they thought.
"EXCUSE ME!" A loud voice shouted through the halls of the large estate from the main lobby.
It belonged to Tamaki Suoh, the eldest child of the Suoh family and heir of the Suoh fortune. He wore his school uniform and sported bright blue eyes with golden blonde hair that was groomed to perfection. In front of him was his strict Cheif of Staff, Shima. She was shorter than Tamaki by a lot and was an old woman. She wore a traditional Japanese outfit and had her hair up in a bun. Her face showing not much emotion.
"Just like I said, Master Tamaki. Your younger half-sister is arriving soon and shall start to live here with us." Shima said a third time. "So please welcome her accordingly."
"When is she coming!?" Tamaki asked eagerly.
His eyes sparkling at the thought of Lucy coming to live with them. He had learned of Lucy long ago from his father, after the divorce with Lucy's mother. The 2 were good friends, though forced to marry each other and have Lucy. But when Layla learned that she could divorce and leave from Tamaki's father, Yuzuru, she was sent off somewhere far away with Lucy happily. Both Layla and Yuzuru remaining as friends.
As Tamaki talked about how excited he was to finally meet Lucy properly, the doorbell rang loudly. Making Tamaki and Shima look towards the doors. "That must be her now." Shima said. With that said, Tamaki dashed towards the gates to the estate.
With Lucy, she was admiring the front gardens of the estate. She had changed her clothes earlier on the private jet, seeing as her style from Fiore would definitely be weird with the people in Japan. She had her hair drift down all the way to her mid-back, which Cancer had made longer much to her satisfaction and a little bit of lipstick and blush. She wore a strapless pink top, a black open blazer, brown pants that went down to the knees and simple sandals.
When she had changed clothes in the back of the private jet, Lucy realized that her guild mark had vanished. She knew it was the result of her leaving, but she knew that she'd visit sooner or later. She had felt an ache in her chest, but took a deep breath and let it out. Lucy needed this. To get away from Fairy Tail. This was her new start and she planned on making sure that she would no longer dwell on the guild ignoring her while she stayed in Japan.
"I thought the drive here and seeing Japan first hand was impressive, but this just looks amazing! Almost reminds me of our estate." Lucy said in total awe, chuckling as she did so. "This country without magic and the people I'm going to be meeting... it's already interesting."
Suddenly, the front door was opened and Lucy looked up to see Tamaki panting. She had to admit, for him to be her brother, she was glad that he looked as good as her. When Lucy learnt that Jude wasn't her actual birth father, she was amazed and was told the same story as Tamaki by Layla. She was glad that both left on a good note and wondered what her brother was like.
"You... Are you... Lucy?" Tamaki asked, stopping each time to take a breath.
The blonde celestial wizard went toward the boy and once she was right in front of him, Lucy placed a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" She asked, Tamaki nodding in response before regaining his composure.
"Ah, Mistress Lucy. You've arrived." Shima said appearing through the doors. "It's great that you have finally arrived."
"Shima! It's nice to meet you." Lucy greeted as she bowed slightly. "Thank you so much for allowing me to stay here. I really appreciate it."
"Please Mistress Lucy, it is a pleasure to help Miss. Layla's daughter." Shima said before hitting Tamaki in the back, making him finally stand up straight. "Mistress. This is your older brother, Tamaki."
"It's great to finally meet you, Tamaki." Lucy said bowing.
"You ought to learn your manners like Mistress Lucy." Shima scolded lightly. "Hurry and introduce yourself."
Tamaki laughed at Shima's remark, scratching the bck of his head before bowing himself. "It's great to finally meet you too, Lucy."
After the introduction, Shima coughed lightly before speaking up. "I'm sorry to intrude this little reunion. But Master Tamaki has to leave for school now." She informed. "Mistress Lucy, the maids shall bring your bags and show you to your quarters."
Lucy handed her bags gently to the maids behind Shima and then looked to Tamaki. "Can I actually go see the school too? Since I assume will be attending as well?" Lucy asked.
"You shall start your actual classes tomorrow. However, you are welcome to go with Master Tamaki, if you wish." Shima said. Lucy nodded in agreement as the maids left with her luggage to bring to her room. "Then I shall inform Master Yuzuru of your arrival." Both siblings nodded happily, got in the limo and left the estate.
"I can't wait for you to meet my friends, Lucy. But, I must warn you. They are quite a bunch." Tamaki said.
"Don't worry. I've had my fair share of craziness." Lucy reassured laughing a little.
When they arrived at the school, Lucy was in awe at how large it was. As they got to the front of the school, Lucy had seen the gardens, students walking around and some teachers from the limo window. Waiting for the 2 of them were 2 people. One was a short kid that looks like an elementary school student with blonde hair and blue eyes while the other was tall and had a strong build. He had dark hair and eyes and Lucy could tell that he was senior.
"Tama-chan!" The blonde called while waving.
"Honey-senpai. Mori-senpai. Good morning." Tamaki said getting out of the limo as Honey and Mori nodded in return.
"Aww. You're a cute little guy, aren't you?" Lucy complimented after getting out of the limo and ruffling Honey's hair.
"Thanks! I'm Mitsukuni Haninozuka, but you can just call me Honey!" Honey asked, hugging his bunny Usa-chan. "Hey Tama-chan! Who is she? I like her already!"
"Senpai?" Lucy asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"This is Lucy. She's my younger half-sister." Tamaki introduced.
"Whoa. I didn't know you had a sister. Right, Takashi?" Honey said, to which Mori just nodded. "Are you transferring here, Lucy?"
"Nice to meet you too." Lucy said, bowing. "And I'll be attending Ouran starting tomorrow. I'm just here to see the school."
"Well, since Honey-senpai already introduced himself." Tamaki spoke up. "This is Honey-senpai's cousin, Takashi Morinozuka but usually we all call him Mori-senpai. Both he and Honey-senpai are 3rd year seniors here at Ouran Academy."
"What!? Honey's a 3rd year!?" Lucy asked surprised, seeing as how she had thought Honey to be an elementary school student. But it would explain why he was wearing the uniform for the school.
"Yeah, a lot of people say the same thing!" Honey said, chuckling. "Surprising isn't it?"
Lucy nodded, scratching the back of her head sheepishly. Honey then climbed Mori so that he was sitting on his shoulders. Once Honey was secure, Mori began to walk into the building. Lucy found it odd for the most part, but she also found it cute that Honey still had an innocent aura around him despite being a senior. Lucy looked around as she and Tamaki followed the 2 from behind.
"Honey-senpai is a bundle of joy, isn't he? Mori-senpai doesn't talk much, but that's what makes him Mori-senpai." Tamaki explained.
"I can already tell that this will be a fun place to be at." Lucy said enthusiastically.
"C'mon you guys! Let's hurry and go to the club room!" Honey called smiling. "The others are probably already there waiting for us!"
"Alright! Lead the way Honey!" Lucy suggested, running up so that she was walking at the same pace as Mori. Tamaki following a little bit after.
"Roger that!" Honey agreed. "Follow us Lucy!"
Back at Fairy Tail, the morning after Lucy left, the guild was much too quiet than usual. People were talking and taking jobs, sure. But the guild wasn't as rowdy and no one was picking fights or yelling about like they would everyday. Makarov, Gajeel, Lily, Juvia, Mira, Wendy and Carla were nowhere to be seen. The guild members inside were aware of their behaviour, but they all dismissed as having one of those odd days. Very rare times that it would occur, but it did.
"Hey Natsu? Happy?" Lisanna asked, walking up to the 2 friends who were eating at the bar.
"What's up Lisanna?" Natsu replied, while chewing on his flaming spicy chicken and Happy turning to the youngest Strauss with a fish in his mouth.
"Don't you think the guild is a little too quiet?" She asked, scanning the guild as if analyzing their behaviour.
"Now that ya mention it, I guess." Happy agreed. "Have you seen Gramps? Or Mira?"
"No." Lisanna replied.
The takeover mage then looked to see Gajeel, Lily, Juvia, Wendy and Carla coming down from the 2nd floor. They all said nothing and Lisanna wondered why Lucy wasn't with them. She knew Lucy was with them the majority of the time, so it was rare not to see Lucy in the guild yet. She watched as the group of mages and exceeds took a job request from the board and headed out of the guild without a word. Just as they did, Mira came down from the 2nd floor.
"Hey Mira!" Natsu called, when he noticed the oldest Strauss.
But when Mira turned to look at them, she had a sad look on her face. One that they could tell she was trying to hide, yet failed in doing so. "Mira are you okay? Is something wrong?" Lisanna asked worried for her sister.
"It's... nothing." Mira replied as she walked away. "Don't worry about it..."
"You called Master?" Mira asked, knocking on Makarov's office door.
Mira could hear a hum in response and she entered the office. When she did, the other's were already there and standing in front of Makarov's desk. Judging by the looks on their faces, especially Gajeel's, it had to be something about Lucy and Mira mentally prepared her heart from what she was about to hear. The white haired takeover mage had already heard it's possibility from Lucy, but she wasn't ready to hear it be official from Makarov.
"Mira. I have bad news." Makarov said, which Mira could already feel her tears form but she blinked it away. "I have already informed the others, but you need to hear this as well."
"Is it... about Lucy?" Mira asked, hesitating.
Makarov could only give a small nod in reply. "Yes... Lucy, she has left Fairy Tail." He said.
Mira stayed silent in shock. She looked to the others and could see them flinch at the mention of Lucy leaving Fairy Tail. Juvia and Wendy already had tears coming down their face, Carla and Lily only looked to the ground while Gajeel just looked straight up angry. Mira knew that the reality of Lucy leaving would arrive soon, but she didn't think the weight of someone leaving because of their treatment from the guild would weigh so heavy on her heart. Mira felt guilty.
"She had left yesterday night." Makarov continued. "I couldn't allow her to suffer by the guild's ignorance towards her, especially since the guild itself holds a powerful place on her heart. So I let her go."
"We all couldn't." Carla spoke up softly. "And that's exactly why it's better for her to go now."
"Before all the hurt destroys her." Lily finished.
"When I get my hands on everyone downstairs I'll-"
"No Gajeel." Makarov interrupted the dragon slayer. "Do not tell anyone of this. Lucy forbid it, unless necessary. You and the rest of us are to be the only ones to know."
Gajeel gnashed his teeth and Mira placed a hand on his shoulder. "You all need to get out of here. Take a job, or go out. But you all clearly need to be anywhere but here." She said.
"But-"
"Gajeel, we should respect Love Rival's wishes." Juvia said. "Until she comes back to the guild or sends word to us, we need to wait."
"Let's go guys." Wendy said as she already had her hand on the door.
Gajeel let out a sigh, but ultimately agreed. But Mira knew that the minute the guild finds out about Lucy's leaving and try to look for her, everyone who would want to look would have to go through Gajeel.
"Lucy's been ignored. She's been on her own and left out by the people she had called best friends. No wonder she wanted to leave." Mira thought as she washed beer mugs, obviously dazing off in thought.
"Mira looks really out of it, doesn't she?" Lisanna asked.
"Something's definitely up if Mira is acting like that." Natsu said finishing his food, Happy agreeing while finishing his fish. "Maybe we should talk to Gramps about it."
Just as Natsu, Lisanna and Happy were going to Makarov's office, Gray and Erza had walked up to them. "Are you going up to see Master too?" Erza asked.
"Yeah." Lisanna replied. "We saw Mira come down from Master's office all sad, so we wanted to ask him if something's bothering her."
"We were going to tell Master about the guild's behaviour. It's strange that it's not as noisy in here." Erza added. "Even more strange that no one is arguing or starting a brawl either."
"Everybody's just doing small talk in here." Gray added. "It's been like this since this morning."
"Let's all go and tell Gramps then." Natsu said.
"Aye sir!" Happy saluted.
"Well now that that's settled." Erza said as she gestured to follow her up stairs. "Let's go."
