As we enter the final two episodes of the first season, let's have a recap on what's happened so far
Three years after defeating Robotnik, The Freedom Fighters investigated a spike in badnik activity, an investigation that leads them to discover the one who claims to be a successor of Robotnik himself; Dr. Eggman.
After a reckless attempt at pursuing Eggman, Sally scolded Sonic and pleaded for him to be more careful in the future.
After receiving word of increasing unrest further in Mobius, the team decide to investigate both this and the spike of Badnik activity once more. This series of events leads them to not only meeting Eggman on person, but also an ally in the form of Geoffery St. John.
Geoffery gives them Intel in regards to Eggman's next plan of attack, as well as possible plans to steal materials required to complete the construction of a powerful weapon that would be disastrous for Mobius.
During their mission in the mining town, Tails becomes increasingly suspicious of Geoffery's behavior. Nonetheless, the team seem to grow a strong bond with Geoffery. Sonic is then called by Geoffery to assist him with fighting Eggman, though both Tails and Nicole strongly suspect that this could be a trap.
Upon defeating the Doctor, Geoffery reveals that Eggman was a mere construct that wax created to lure Freedom Fighters to their doom, before using his mysterious power to put Sonic out of action for a while. Geoffery then proceeds to launch an all-out assault on the Knothole and the Freedom Fighters.
After a brave attempt to hold off Geoffery and his forces, Sally confronts him before he proceeds to disable her weapons and crush her wrists, before being interrupted by a blue blur.
