Once the sky regained it's bright sunny weather, Lucy and the others retreated back into the villa. They all decided to refresh themselves first and then meet up in the main living room to hear the fairies' explanations about their magic and why those mages from earlier had attacked them. Lucy was the last to arrive at the living room and held her magical book with her, thinking it would help explain.
She sat down between Mira and Wendy on the couch, Carla was on the bluenette's lap and Juvia sat beside Mira. Tohru was next to Wendy and Haruhi sat on a seat that was beside the couch. Tamaki, Hikaru and Kaoru sat on the couch across from the girls, Honey and Mori sat on the floor while Kyo, Yuki and Kyoya stood behind them. Everyone was all silent, waiting for Lucy to say something. The fairies knowing that Lucy would explain it well.
The blonde girl took a deep breath and sighed as she lifted the book up and placed her hand on the cover. She mumbled something under breath, causing the book to glow. Everyone stayed still and commented on nothing and watched what Lucy did next. Once the glow dismissed itself, Lucy opened the book to reveal a map of the Ishagar and Alvarez continent, an arrow pointing to a small portion on the map and big letters saying; Fiore above it.
"To start off, as some of you are aware, these are the small continents of Alvarez and Ishgar and that small little part on the map of Ishgar is in fact Fiore. Both people with and without magic live in harmony in these 2 continents and because of that, things such as technology were not necessary for our survival." Lucy began.
"How come we and the rest of the world do not know of this?" Hikaru asked, his arms crossed.
"Long ago, the paranoia of that those with magic would take control of the world and those without it would be forced to become slaves consumed humans while more and more people were born with magic. So, as a way to keep their rights, mage hunters started appearing and those with magic began to be plucked out one by one." She replied.
"So people who harbored magical properties fled to these small continents so that no other human would find them, correct?" Kyoya asked.
"If that were the case, seeing as how non-magical beings also live there now, we can assume that those who had wanted to help mages also fled to these 2 places as well." Yuki added.
"That's right." Lucy confirmed. "Like I told Haruhi and Tohru, in Fiore, only 10% of our population can use all kinds of magic. There are caster mages and holder mages. Caster mages are ones who can use magic by using their body while holder mages are mages that need magical items to use their magic."
"I am a takeover mage. Specifically, I use a type of takeover called; Satan Soul." Mira spoke up. "It allows me to transform into a type of demon whose power I've absorbed."
"Juvia is a water mage." Juvia said. "Juvia has the ability to control, create and manipulate water however way she wishes. Juvia can also turn her body into water to avoid attacks or hide from enemies."
"I'm called an Exceed back in Fiore." Carla said. "It's a special kind of cat species that originated from a parallel universe called Edolas but due to a certain incident, we were transported here. I can use a spell called Aera which allows me to produce wings as well as a certain ability that allows me to see the bits of the future by chance."
"Whoa, that sounds amazing Carla." Haruhi commented. "To be able to see the future?"
"Well... it has ups and downs to it. But nevertheless it is a very helpful ability when it counts." The white exceed replied.
"I am a celestial spirit mage." Lucy added. "I already told Haruhi and Tohru this before Loke was summoned, but my magic allows me to summon celestial spirits by using items called gate keys."
"Who's Loke?" Honey asked, raising an eyebrow. "I don't remember meeting a Loke."
"Well, his name is really Leo the Lion. But the reason I call him Loke is a very long story."
"Loke is the orange haired guy wearing the tux from a few days ago." Tohru said, remembering Kyo's little mishap with the celestial spirit. "Remember Kyo?"
The orange haired boy took a moment to think, trying to see if he met anyone who looked the way Tohru described. The minute he remembered Loke's face, the boy was taken aback. "What!? That guy was a spirit you summoned!?"
"Now that I think about it, I do remember you talking to some guy a few days ago." Kaoru said, recalling how he looked towards where Lucy and the others were while he was hosting. "He clearly wasn't a part of our school, but you seemed close so there was no problem for me."
"What about you Wendy?" Tamaki asked, still processing everything slowly. "What magic do you use?"
"Oh! I'm a Sky Dragon Slayer!" Wendy said with a simple smile. "I possess dragon like abilities such as a dragon roar, fangs, claws and talons. There's even a spell called Dragon Force which will increase my dragon attributes and give me scales too. My foster dragon parent, Grandeeney, was the one who taught me."
"I see..." Kyoya said as he nodded, but when he fully took in what Wendy had said, he, the rest of the hosts and the Sohma cousins looked at the young girl with bulging eyes.
"I'm sorry did you say you were taught by a dragon!?" Tamaki asked. "As in a literal towering flying creature that breathe's fire!?"
"Well Grandeeney is a Sky dragon so she doesn't breathe fire, but everything else is pretty accurate." Wendy replied nonchalantly, to which everyone had just accepted any more surprises that would arise.
"Does Father know about it?" Tamaki asked, turning to Lucy.
Lucy would smile and nod. "Mom had told him once when she was still alive in a letter, I believe. We just never told you because it was better that you not know that you have a sister that is not only a target because of her social standing, but because she has magic."
"So from what about those guys back there?" Kyo asked, crossing his arms. "They said something about following 'members from the in-famous Fairy Tail guild hall'. Mind explaining that?"
"Fairy Tail is a mages' guild back in Fiore. There's a bunch of them in Fiore and mages from all over gather there to do jobs and become family there." Mira explained. "Fairy Tail is the strongest and we are all from that guild."
The 4 girls showed their Fairy Tail guild marks one by one and everyone took in that they were in different colours and on different parts of their bodies. "They do not come off unless you leave the guild." Juvia explained. "Just a few days ago, Lucy left the guild which is why her guild mark is no longer on the back of her right hand."
"Wait, you were a part of the guild Lucy?" Tohru asked, hearing this for the first time.
"Is that what you and Loke were talking about the other day?" Haruhi added.
Lucy nodded as Carla stepped up and jumped to the table and stand. "She was ignored and replaced." She said with no warning, making Lucy's eyes downcast. "We had a saying in our guild and it was that everyone in the guild is nakama."
"But because Mira's lost sister; Lisanna came back, the guild has not only been neglecting Lucy but Juvia, Wendy, Carla and everyone else who had entered the guild after Lisanna's so-called disappearance." Juvia added.
"Did she do something?" Tohru asked, feeling sorry for Lucy.
"No! Lisanna is a very nice girl." Mira spoke up. "She, along with me and the master of our guild, were the only ones who still paid attention to Lucy, Juvia, Wendy, Carla and the others. She took the time to talk with us, even though Lucy's ex-team drags her around to even stay in the guild."
"Wow... they sound like a bunch of jerks." Haruhi stated, as the others nodded.
"How could they do that you guys anyway?" Yuki asked with a distasteful look on his face.
"You guys are so nice." Honey added. "If it were me, I would've left too."
"Yeah." Mori agreed.
"They ignored you all, even replaced Lucy." Kyo said, understanding what kind of feeling it must be. Making Yuki and Tohru to look at each other. "That kind of thing is not right at all."
"It's fine. I've moved on after all." Lucy said with a content look on her face. "I have you guys now!"
"You sure are positive about this, Lucy." Kyoya said. "Why is that?"
Lucy blinked, thinking about it. When she couldn't get an answer out of herself, she shrugged and smiled sheepishly. "Well, I guess it's because I have come back to my blood family." She said. "Or I don't know."
Before anyone said anything else, Capricorn's key began to glow and Lucy placed her hand above it. Once the key stopped glowing, she looked to the 4 fairies and smiled. "Capricorn says it's time to go. Your plane is waiting for you before leaving for Crocus."
"We'll get ready then." Mira said as she and the other 3 fairies got up from their sitting positions, Carla just flying as she did so. "You'll come with us to see us off right?"
Lucy nodded and the 4 fairies left for their rooms. "We're all gonna clean up the dining room and kitchen for lunch, so that they can eat before leaving." Haruhi added as she and the rest of the host club left the room as well.
Lucy then looked to Tohru, Yuki and Kyo. They were whispering amongst themselves and soon nodded. The blonde tilted her in confusion but then Tohru had turned to look at her and began to speak. "Hey Lucy?" She asked, nervousness in her voice.
"There's something else you'd like to ask me, isn't there?" The blonde asked in return as if reading their minds.
"Well... um..." Tohru tried to say something about the curse Yuki and Kyo are under, but she couldn't really find the words.
Kyo just sighed at the poor girl and just simply pushed Yuki so that he would crash into Tohru. A 'poof' sound could be heard as smoke suddenly arise and Lucy was met with Tohru on the floor, apologizing many times to a rat that had appeared in Yuki's place. On the floor were Yuki's clothes and Kyo just looked at Lucy, waiting for a reaction of some sort come from her. However, Lucy just blinked and knelt beside Tohru.
"Yuki...?" Lucy asked with a good amount of calmness in her voice.
Yuki just sighed and nodded. "Yes, it's me."
"You... transformed into a rat?" She asked again.
"Sadly yes." He replied as he went to stand on Tohru's hands. "You see, the Sohma's are under a sort of curse that was placed upon us long ago. 13 of us are cursed with the soul of one of the Chinese zodiac. I am the rat and-"
"That means Kyo must be a cat!" Lucy finished for him.
"How the heck did you guess that!?" Kyo asked, taken aback that Lucy guessed right.
Lucy thought for a moment and soon got her answer. "You may notice Kyo, but you have some cat-like qualities. Especially since Yuki calls you a cat whenever you guys fight."
"Damn rat..." Kyo murmured under his breath.
"So... how did you transform just now? Are you mages too?" Lucy asked. "Is it a type of takeover?"
"No. Our curse makes us turn into the Chinese zodiac that we are possessed with whenever we hug or are hugged by the opposite sex or even when we're in a great deal of stress." Kyo explained.
"Is that so." Lucy said, but then she recalled when she fell on Kyo and Yuki. "Wait, then how come you didn't transform that time I fell on the both of you?"
"We were hoping you knew the answer." Yuki said.
Lucy hummed in thought, but then went to grab her magical book. "Maybe this could tell us. Go on and ask." She said, holding the book out for Tohru.
"Why didn't Yuki or Kyo transform when Lucy's fell on them?" She asked, the book glowed and Lucy opened it to reveal text on the pages.
"According to the book, it says that the curse is meant so that when a human hugs you or you hug a human, you will transform. However, because I have magic running through my veins I assume the curse doesn't consider me human." Lucy explained. "I suspect that it goes for Mira and the others too."
"Does the book know how to break the curse?" Tohru asked.
Lucy took out a silver key from her key ring and smiled. "Well, it can't tell me everything, but I know who can." She said as she raised the key. Then, out of nowhere, Crux appeared sleeping with legs crossed. "Thanks Crux."
"Uh... Lucy? Not to sound like a magic expert or anything, but he seems to be asleep." Yuki said.
Lucy laughed and sat back on the couch. "That's how Crux finds information through the spirit world."
As if on cue, Crux's sleeping bubble and the spirit had woken up, screaming. Startling Tohru, Yuki and Kyo. But Lucy acted as it was nothing as she crossed her legs and awaited Crux's report. "It seems that the curse is a very mysterious curse. The only answer I got was this Miss. Lucy." He said, handing a piece of paper to Lucy.
"Thank you Crux, you may go back." Lucy said as she read the paper while Crux went back to the Celestial world. "Hmm... it seems the way to break the curse is to... fill your heart with love. Find someone who is willing enough to accept all of you whole and give you love. When you have that warmth, the curse will break."
Yuki, Kyo and Tohru looked at each other and smiled. "Thanks Lucy." They said in unison.
"Your welcome, and don't worry." She said winking. "I won't tell the others about your curse."
All of a sudden, Tohru let Yuki down from her hands and in a few seconds, a poof was heard as a now naked Yuki stood in front of Lucy and Tohru. Both girls screaming and closing their eyes. After Yuki was fully clothed, Kyo later explained that they return back into their normal forms after a few moments and naked since their clothes fall off when they transform. Earning a punch from Lucy who would've liked that explanation earlier.
After a few minutes of regaining their composure, Hikaru and Kaoru entered the room to tell the 4 teens that lunch is ready. They followed the twins to the dining hall and ate happily, talking with the others about anything completely random. Mira, Wendy, Carla and Juvia happy to see Lucy laughing and giving the smile that they had missed from their celestial mage. They knew that letting Lucy go there was the right thing to do after all.
When they were done, Lucy and Capricorn escorted the 4 fairies to the plane that was waiting for them. Lucy had asked the celestial spirit to guide them back to Crocus and to come back once he was done. To which the goat spirit agreed whole heartedly. The host club, Sohma cousins and Tohru had gone ahead to the Suoh Estate and Lucy had told them that she would follow after Mira and the other left.
"Make sure to tell Gajeel and Lily to visit alright?" Lucy said. "Even though I know the rich lifestyle isn't to their liking, it'd be nice of them to drop by."
"Don't worry about it Lucy, he'll visit you." Juvia reassured. "Most probably when he's done a mission or something."
"Tell Master I said hi too and that he should visit me as well." Lucy added.
"Because he's master, I'm not sure about visiting." Wendy said.
"But he will definitely contact you via communication lacrima." Carla reassured, to which Lucy nodded.
"I'd also like to see Lisanna, Mira." Lucy said. "I haven't talked to her in forever."
"I'm sure she'll visit you the minute she contacts you, Lucy." Mira said, giving the blonde a tight hug. Juvia, Wendy and Carla joining in as well.
"Miss. Lucy, it's time to go." Capricorn said.
Lucy broke the hug and nodded. The 4 girls boarding the plane and waving as Lucy watched the door close from the ground. After a few minutes the girls opened their window covers and waved to Lucy as the plane began to ascend and soon was off to Magnolia. Lucy smiled as she stopped waving and began to walk to the limo, her expression changing to one of seriousness. As one thing plagued her mind.
"Don't worry Fairy Tail, I'll come back... but I won't be going back as Lucy of Fairy Tail." She thought, sitting in the limo as it began to drive her back to the Suoh Estate. "It's Lucy Suoh now."
