(Haruhi's POV)
Gosh... I haven't seen Tamaki-senpai look so depressed before. Sure, those other times when he would sulk in a corner is usually just him being childish but... this time, he lost Lucy. We may have just lost a friend, but to Fairy Tail and him? They lost a sister. Family. I know how that feels. It's just not like him to mope around, especially for such a long time. But... I guess I can't say that it isn't the same for the rest of the club.
Actually, seems like everyone in the school is affected somehow someway about Lucy's disappearance. Whether it was because they were friends with her in class or because they were uncomfortable that a kidnapping had happened at the school in broad daylight, people have become more worried and anxious.
After that Shigure guy failed to get more information out of Akito, the one who supposedly took Lucy in the first place, we returned to Ouran to recount our findings. What he had said definitely had larger meaning than on the surface. I mean... how can Lucy be alive but non-existing? The sentence itself is literally contradicting itself. If Lucy is non-existing then her celestial keys would have dispersed by now, wouldn't they? But they're still with Tamaki-senpai.
Erza had suggested that we call Fairy Tail again using the lacrima to get in contact with Lucy's, once closest, friend Levy. Apparently, she's pretty smart with decoding things. But when we did, Wendy and the others were waiting on the other side with a man with more piercings I could count with another exceed. Their names were Gajeel and Pantherlily, or Lily for short. Who would've thought that Gajeel was Lucy's older brother figure in Fairy Tail?
He already looked freakishly angry when the lacrimas connected. Looks like their master explained the situation. He wasn't mad at Natsu and the others though, so I could only assume that he was angry at himself for not going there instead of Team Natsu. His bond with Lucy is certainly on par with her and senpai. It almost makes me jealous. He's definitely protective of Lucy.
Regardless, in the end... we still had no more leads to Lucy. Loke sure couldn't sense her presence or a faint trace of her magic. And trust me when I say he gave it his all. The spirits still have some sort of bond with Lucy, our only reassurance that she's somewhere out there, but Loke's been saying that it gets weaker everyday. To the point that he can't feel it sometimes. Either Lucy is fading away or there's something keeping her from regaining her strength, But what?
Oh yeah! Tohru, Yuki, Kyo and Shigure had gone back to their town after a month since Lucy's disappearance. It was sad seeing them go, especially since that they have also been asking other Sohmas who were also cursed to search the main house whenever they were there. If there was any clue that Akito didn't protect as to where he had sent Lucy. Or even where he was keeping her. But nothing. Not even Shigure is allowed to know.
Whatever this Akito did to Lucy, he hid her pretty good. But... what did he really do to her?
(General POV)
Haruhi entered the club room with Hikaru and Kaoru after their class had ended. Though Lucy's disappearance took a toll on them, they continued with their club business regardless. Tamaki may be distraught about Lucy being gone, but he knew that Lucy wouldn't want him to be moping around the place the way he was. If Lucy had taught him anything about dire situations, it was that you had to find a way to pull through.
Because of that, after club business was completed for the day, he and Kyoya would search through several security services to see if they find someone who remotely resembles Lucy. Of course the chances of seeing her out in the open are very slim, but that's why they also kept an eye on Sohma house through the updates from Yuki and Kyo.
Hikaru, Kaoru and Honey were in charge of browsing through social media and the internet for any updates on Lucy. Yes, they had filed in a missing person report and now in addition to their own search sources, they had the police go around and ask for frequent updates upon the return of their search. Mori and Haruhi being the ones who would organize unhelpful data from the ones that might lead to some sort of clue.
Because Fairy Tail was from another continent, they couldn't really help much from Fiore. Levy promised to try and come up with hypothesis' as to what Akito meant by Lucy being alive yet not existing and would have Mira and the others contact the communication lacrima to update the hosts on her finds.
"It's time to close up shop for today everyone." Kyoya spoke as he and the others saw that the sun was beginning to descend. "Seems like we found nothing today."
"We've been searching for the past 6 months... Akito could have hid her anywhere by this point." Kaoru commented, resting his head on his hands, his elbows propped on the surface of the table.
"Considering what Yuki, Kyo and Tohru told us, Akito likes to keep things he takes close to him... so Lucy is most likely to be where they are... If not closer." Hikaru added, his hands rolled into fists.
"But for some reason there's no such luck on their side either." Mori said. He and Honey were wearing different uniforms since they had just graduated from Ouran and now go to a university, but they still go to the Host Club after their classes since they were all like family.
"Yeah! The Sohma members that met Lucy last time have been searching every day at the main house and To-chan and the others have been searching around their town too!" Honey agreed.
"There has to be a place we haven't looked yet, and if there isn't... then there's one place Akito has hidden in Sohma house that the others are unaware of." Tamaki stated.
"I'll call Tohru later today and ask to pass that possibility to Yuki and Kyo's cousins." Haruhi said as she and the rest of the hosts exited the club room.
(Tohru's POV)
Another day.
Another day of no sight of Lucy or her whereabouts.
When we came back to town after Shigure's business work was done, we went about our time as if nothing was wrong to make sure Akito was not aware that we knew that he was the one responsible of the kidnapping of Lucy. Luckily, we didn't have to worry about Shigure telling on us since Natsu, Gray and Erza were very clear that they would take his life on the spot if he did. Which seems pretty extreme but, this is Lucy we're dealing with.
We had even went to ask Hatori about it, since we knew he was usually with Akito most of the time. And we knew he would be on our side because he liked Lucy as far as we knew. But, Hatori had disappeared. Or it was more like he was always away or busy to come speak with us. When he was available, Yuki and Kyo said that Akito would take him away before anything else.
But Momiji and Hatsuharu did mention that they heard Akito talking in his room once, but it seemed like he was talking to someone rather than himself. Plus, when they peaked inside his room, there was no one there. Which was honestly strange... even for Akito. Well, we can't make assumptions yet. We still don't have enough proof.
Speaking of things, we're supposed to get a new student today! Luckily for them, exams are done and a fresh new term is starting. Which also means no stress for awhile. I wonder what they're like...
(General POV)
Once the bell rang, Yuki, Kyo and Tohru went to sit at their seats, awaiting for their teacher and the new student to come. Tohru's friends, Uo and Hana, were talking about the new student. Guessing whether if it was a boy or girl and if they were going to be weird like the "Prince Yuki Fanclub" or just be a popular kid. Though, Hana kept mentioning that she could feel the new student's electric waves and that they were somehow "incomplete".
When the class heard the door slide open, they all became quiet, most tuning out the less important things that their teacher was saying. The others, on the other hand, making note of anything important about their academics into their notebooks to save for later. Such as: test and assignment due dates, field trips and other things.
Finally, the teacher brought up the new student, to which all the students began to pay attention to. Typical new student behaviour. But everyone did question as to why their teacher mentioned to not be alarmed about their appearance. "Were they ugly or something?" Was what the class thought.
But when the new student came in, the classes eyes widened. The new student was a girl... and she was far from ugly. Her most obvious feature was her hair. Her locks were long and wavy with the most distinct colour of pastel pink. Her bangs being brushed to the right. Her eyes were big and lashes long, complimenting her hair with hazel orbs. Her body had curves in all the right places and was a good size considering her height.
The school uniform seemed like it was fit just for her, the skirt falling closer to her knees. Her skin fair and seemed flawless the longer one looked. Her demeanor seemed lively and she had a glowing aura around her. She looked pretty friendly at a first glance. However, Tohru took notice of her right leg and left hand. On both body parts were bandages wrapped around her hand and leg. Tohru wondering what had injured her.
"Hi there, my name is Aya Lilith and I just transferred here since I moved here from a different city. Nice to meet you all and I hope that we can become good friends this coming year!" She said with a bright smile.
"She seems like a pretty cool girl, don't you think Tohru? Hana?" Uo asked, to which Tohru nodded in agreement.
"Though her electric waves are incomplete, I can tell that she is very nice and very friendly." Hana said as she smiled slightly. "I wonder just how true that actually is, however."
"Alright then, you can sit over beside Yuki Sohma over there. He's our class representative so he can help you if you need any questions." The teacher instructed.
It was then that, Tohru, Uo, Hana, Yuki and Kyo noticed the girl's change in behaviour. However, the class and teacher remained indifferent. It was as if time slowed and Aya's eyes narrowed ever so slightly as her bubbly aura turned into one of anger and hatred. Her jaw clenched underneath her smile. Before the teacher said anything further, Aya swiftly walked to her seat as if there was nothing wrong. Tohru and the others watching her move.
Once she sat beside Yuki, the boy turned to introduce himself. "Nice to meet you, Aya and welcome to-"
"Listen." Aya spoke in a very harsh yet soft voice only for Yuki to hear, not even bothering to make eye contact with him as her head rested on the palm of her hand. "I'd rather you not talk to me unless I ask the questions first. If you weren't class rep, I'd probably try my best to completely ignore your existence."
"What?" Yuki asked.
"Don't ever speak to me unless I ask. Don't ever approach me and don't ever try to get to know me." She said. "I despise you Sohmas and one day your family will pay for what they have done."
"What!?" Tohru exclaimed in disbelief. "She really said that to you!?"
She, Yuki, Kyo, Haru and Momiji were currently on the school rooftop during break and Yuki had just told them about Aya's little warning during the beginning of class. After all, this was the first time that Yuki had even met the girl and she clearly has some kind of connection to the Sohma family to have some form of grudge against them like that. What kind of connection and how in the first place, however, they did not know.
"You said she has pink hair, Kyo?" Haru asked, crossing his arms as he was leaning on the wall where the door to the roof was.
"Oh! I saw her when she passed by our class with your teacher earlier!" Momiji said, raising his hand before getting a puzzled look. "That was Aya? But... she seemed so friendly and happy. And I'm pretty sure that I've never seen her anywhere near Sohma house."
"If that's the case then why the heck, does she hate us?" Kyo asked. "What did our family ever do to her?"
"Well, we won't know for sure unless we somehow get her to talk. But clearly, she refuses to even be in the same room with a Sohma around." Haru stated.
"Yeah, the minute break started, she dashed out of the class like a bomb was about to go off or something." Kyo noted. "I mean, it's Yuki she's sitting beside, so it makes sense. I would run too."
"Yes but you would run for a completely reason." Yuki retorted.
"What's that supposed to mean, huh ya damned rat!?" Kyo asked while shouting.
"Calm down Kyo!" Tohru said, getting in between the 2 of them. "This is not the time for this."
Kyo, though hesitant, complied and just sighed in annoyance before looking back at Haru. "Anyway, you guys got any other clues about Lucy yet?"
"Is Akito still talking to this 'someone' every day?" Yuki added.
Both Haru and Momiji nodded in unison. "Same old, same old." Haru replied. "However, yesterday, he seemed quite calm instead of spouting nonsense vocabulary."
"Calm?" Tohru asked.
"Yeah, yesterday he was talking in a hushed tone and it seemed like he was facing towards the room next to his." Momiji explained. "But when we checked right after there was no one in there. It seemed like he was striking a deal with whomever he was talking to, considering his hand gestures and some words we heard."
"A deal?" Kyo repeated, his eyes narrowing.
"Because of his hushed tone, there were only a few words we could pick up." Haru added. "Something like, even if I let you go and also, our little deal. We really can't make anything out with just those words. They could mean anything after all."
"So what should we do?" Tohru asked. "Trying to find Lucy is hard enough, but now Aya looks like she wants revenge upon the Sohma family."
Yuki took a moment to think. It really was terrible timing for this obstacle to appear. Lucy being missing was their top priority, but now that Aya seemed to establish herself as a threat to the Sohma family, there was no telling what could happen if anything were to go wrong. There was something up with Aya that they were not catching onto and whatever it was, it's most likely attached to the reason why she's so hostile to the Sohma family.
"Regarding Ms. Lilith, you can try to befriend her with Ms. Uotani and Ms. Hanajima." Yuki suggested. "Let's try not to hang around each other as much in class that way it'll be easier for her to open up to the 3 of you."
"Huh!? Are you sure?" Tohru asked.
"Honestly, I think rat boy is right." Kyo admitted. "Maybe if you get to know her, she can tell you exactly what she has against us Sohmas. We won't be able to figure anything else out without her saying anything."
"And leave clues about Lucy to me and Haru. Kagura is trying to track down Ha'ri for us so maybe she can get some info about Lucy through him. Besides, I bet he knows what happened or, at least, has some idea about Lucy but Akito is keeping him busy as a way to make sure we don't find out." Momiji guessed.
"Anyway, we're going to head back to class." Haru said. "Break is almost over, you guys should head back too."
"Alright. We'll see you guys later." The 3 said as they went their separate ways.
Meanwhile in Fairy Tail, Levy was currently reading through many books, trying to find meaning behind Akito's words. Just how can the celestial mage be alive but non-existing, it made no sense to her. She hadn't been resting well since she was tasked to decipher what the message could mean, which worried Makarov and the other guild members. But they knew that she was putting in all the effort as a way to make it up to Lucy.
It was then that Wendy, Carla and Lisanna came to her table, panting as they were out of breath from running. Seemed like they had been running a marathon all over Magnolia. Then again, Carla seemed fine since she was flying. In Wendy's hand was a book. A book that was very similar to that of the book Lucy had with her prior to leaving Magnolia. The one that she also used when explaining about magic and Fiore to the Hosts and Sohma cousins.
"Levy look!" Wendy cried, the bluenette bookworm not used to Wendy addressing her in such a kind manner.
"W-What is it, Wendy?"
"This book!" Lisanna said with a smile. "Lucy had this with her after she left to live with her brother. You simply ask the book for information and it will reveal any thing about the topic."
At the sound of that, Levy's eyes brightened as Wendy handed the book to her. "Please tell me where Lucy Heartfilia is." She asked.
The book glowed for a second, but when she opened it, the pages were blank. Lisanna, Wendy and Carla looked at each other and then gestured Levy to close the book again. "Maybe it's because Lucy does not go by Lucy Heartfilia anymore?" Carla asked.
"Maybe..." Lisanna said, going up to the book. "Show us the location of Lucy Suoh."
Again, the pages glowed, but when the solid script mage opened it, they were yet again with empty white. "Why isn't it showing us where Lucy is?" Wendy asked, feeling defeated after receiving hope.
"Hm..." Levy hummed, trying to think of a way to have some sort of clue as to where Lucy might be. The smallest detail might even give her something to work with. Then it hit her. "Team Natsu said that some guy named Akito Sohma was the one who took Lucy in the first place, right?"
"Yes. But what does that have to do with anything?" Carla asked.
Levy didn't answer the exceed as she closed the book again, the 3 other girls watching her with curiosity. The bluenette closed her eyes as she collected her thoughts and took a deep break before looking at the book with absolute trust. This is the only other way to find any clue about Lucy. If it doesn't work, it's back to square one.
"What are the recent activities of Akito Sohma in the past 6 months?"
The book began to glow again and when Levy opened it's pages, it was filled to the brim with words and information. Wendy, Lisanna and Carla began to cheer as Levy wore her magic reading glasses and began to skim through the book with no problem. There many things that Akito has been doing, however, when Levy got to the final pages, she found a very interesting paragraph on what Akito has been doing.
"What's up, Levy?" Lisanna asked, tilting her head as she leaned to read over Levy's shoulder.
The girl took off her reading glasses, and began to analyze the passage she had found. "Nothing here mentions Lucy, but squished in between the boring stuff, there are times where Akito is apparently talking or yelling to someone in his room. Though the person themselves is not present in the room with him."
"What does that mean?" Wendy asked.
"A secret room perhaps?" Carla assumed.
"Apparently so." Levy confirmed. "But in this final passage, it says that Akito kept her locked in from the real world for quite a long time. Poor girl knows nothing about the reason nor does she have a clue about why she is considered a threat."
"Her?" Lisanna asked.
"Well that's worded weirdly." Carla said. "The person is no threat, but Akito was not going to take the risk? How did he know about her and her existence then?"
"It doesn't exactly say how long she's been there, but it does give me a name." Levy replied.
"What's her name?" Wendy asked.
.
.
.
.
.
"Aya Lilith."
