Charlie comes back
Walden had heard much about Charlie, good and bad. In some ways he felt like he lived in this man's shadow. But Walden was shocked when Charlie showed up on his doorstep one day.
Walden: I thought you were dead.
Charlie: No, Rose kidnapped me and claimed I was dead. Didn't take me cheating on her well.
Walden: What did she do to you?
Charlie: Some scary stuff, but more exciting than I would've thought.
Walden: So you escaped?
Charlie: No, she let me go. And I'm going back to her. She accepts me for who I am, and I love her. She's threatened to torture me again if I ever stray. What she doesn't seem to realize I liked it. Or maybe she does, I am glad I married her. Not to mention that my bookies think I'm really dead, it was getting harder to fake my death with them or scorned women with guns.
Walden: Well, whatever makes you happy. So, are you here to see Alan or your mom?
Charlie: Hell no. I saw some of what was going on with the cameras. It was one thing when Alan was mouching off his brother, with you it's just pathetic. And my mother made a profit off my death with the sale of my home, to hell with them.
Walden: What did you say about cameras?
Charlie: Rose put secret cameras all around the house to spy on me. You should really check for them. Anyway I'm here to see Jake, he's young, maybe it's not too late for him. I'm here to give him some advice. I'd prefer you ot tell anyone else I'm alive.
Walden: Sure. Jake's upstairs, I'll just check for those hidden cameras.
