Okay then, I know I should be working On "Dreams Come True" itself, but for some reason I have a hard time writing Season 1 of GX, not entirely sure why. Anyway, I just learned about Hanahaki Disease, and I immediately wanted to write something on it for Valentine's Day involving Sammy and Zane (aka Wingshipping). I hope you all enjoy!
Samantha Zephyr was simply writing a report on the Cyber Dragon Archetype, when something soft inside her chest suddenly tickled her throat, causing her to cough fairly heavily. When the strange coughing fit ended not long after, Sammy's jaw dropped when - instead of blood like she expected - a small pile of gunmetal blue rose petals lay where she had coughed.
"Wha...Oh no." She murmured, realizing what this meant: She had Hanahaki Disease, the disease of one-sided love. What would she do? There was no way she could tell Zane how she felt, he wouldn't feel the same way. Maybe surgery was an option? NO! Sammy nearly fainted at the idea of not being able to love the older Truesdale brother anymore, it terrified her to her core.
"I..." she coughed up more petals. "I have to live this illness now. I...I don't wanna lose my feelings for Zane, I love him too much."
With that, Sammy stood up and began to walk to her first class of the day...more petals escaping her lips on the way.

Zane knew something was wrong the moment it started happening: Sammy missing more and more classes as the days went by. At first Zane had done his best not to worry, figuring that she was getting a little upset that he was graduating soon, they were very close and it was always hard to say goodbye to someone you care about. However, when Zane wouldn't see the brunette for days on end, he started worrying. It wasn't like her at all for this to happen.
It wasn't until after his duel with Jaden Yuki ended with Sammy nowhere in sight that Zane decided that enough was enough, and stormed up to Sammy's room to end all of this and learn the truth.
He did not expect to see what he had found in that room.

Coughing. It was all Sammy did now. The gunmetal blue roses now coated the floor of her Dorm room, some were layered in her blood as well, only causing her more pain. The blood loss had also made Sammy extremely weak, unable to get out of bed to do anything - not even use the bathroom.
The sound of her door opening barely registered in Sammy's mind as yet another coughing fit claimed her, multiple bloody gunmetal blue flowers raining down onto the floor.
"Sammy." A voiced called out in the distance, barely reaching Sammy's ears as she was gently picked up a little bit. Sammy at long last stopped coughing for the time being and went still, too exhausted to even try and take deep breaths.
"Sammy..." The voiced called again, sounding more familiar. The brunette was about to attempt to reply, when warm lips met hers.
In an instant, all the pain and heartbreak Sammy felt faded away, filled with only love and freedom. It was Zane, she knew it was him. He really did love her the same way she loved him. This was what heaven felt like.
When they finally pulled apart, Zane had a relieved but loving smile on his face, and Sammy could only smile tiredly back...before capturing his lips in another kiss again. She was finally happy with her Love, there was no way she was gonna let him get away that easily.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I loved writing this so much. I'll see you next time in - hopefully - "Dreams Come True (Book 1)" Chapter 3!
