I don't anyone except for Moira. This was a quick oneshot since I did get a little lazy!
Jacob leaned on the kitchen counter as the water in the kettle boiled. He wondered what he could do for Moira for Valentine's Day but he knew he couldn't take her anywhere since Moira was sick with a very bad cold. She had been stressed out with exams and papers that her immune system was shot and she caught a cold. Moira assured him they didn't have to do anything for Valentine's Day since she was so sick. Jacob being stubborn as he is, disagreed.
Once the water boiled and the tea steeped, he pour the tea into a mug and added cream and sugar the way Moira liked it. He walked towards the living room to see Moira curled up on the couch underneath a blanket while watching something on tv. A box of tissues were on the coffee table in front of her along with cold medicine she had to take every four hours. He approached her and carefully gave Moira her tea.
"Here you go, luv," Jacob said softly.
"Thank you, Jacob," Moira said with a sniffle as she took the mug.
Jacob then sat next to Moira only for her to lean into him while still clutching her tea. He placed a kiss on to of her head while rubbing her arm.
"How are you feeling?" Jacob asked looking at her.
"Like I've been run over by a truck," Moira groaned, "I should probably sleep after I'm done with my tea."
"Probably not a bad idea," Jacob replied.
Jacob felt bad for his girlfriend feeling so cruddy like this. Moira was usually good about staying healthy but once she gets sick, she's down and out. So he did his best to try and nurse her back to health. He also wanted to be a good boyfriend and spoil her for Valentine's Day like he did last year, "Moira, do you have any idea of what you would like to do for Valentine's Day?"
"Jacob, if I'm still sick like this then we can't do anything," Moira said then placed a hand on his knee, "We can always do something when I get better."
"But Valentine's Day is where I get to show how much I love you," Jacob almost whined.
"Aw, sweetheart," Moira giggled lightly, "You do that every day and I love you too."
Before Jacob could say anything else, Moira cuddled up to him while drinking her tea. He turned his head back to the tv screen while setting his head on Moira's. Jacob was adamant about showing Moira love on Valentine's Day. Sure he showed her everyday that he loved her but there was something about Valentine's Day that made it all the more special. Even if Moira was still sick, he was going to do something special for her.
After awhile, he looked down to see that Moira was fast asleep against him. He sighed out in relief knowing that Moira needed sleep. He knew Moira hadn't been sleeping well due to her nose and sore throat, even with the medicine. So for her to be asleep now was good. He turned off the tv and carefully picked up Moira to take her to her bedroom. She let out a light groan as Jacob placed her on her bed. He pulled the blanket over her then placed a kiss on her forehead. He looked at her one last time with a smile before quietly exiting her flat.
Jacob tapped his pencil on his book while leaning on his hand as he tuned out his teacher. He still wondered what he could do for Moira today but she was still home sick. He outdid himself last year with the scavenger hunt and picnic. He just didn't know what he could do since Moira was sick. He looked at the clock and saw that it was time to leave. He quickly packed his things and threw his bag over his shoulder. As he left his class, his phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out to see that it was a text from Moira.
'Happy Valentine's Day, darling! I love you! 3'
Jacob smiled and texted her back, 'Happy Valentine's, luv. I love you too. I will see you soon."
He then put his phone away and began to walk off of campus. He had his hands in his pockets as he began to walk towards Moira's flat. He glanced around to see many couples were out and about. He let out a soft sigh and then approached a flower shop. Jacob know Moira loved flowers especially daisies. He walked inside then left with a bouquet of different colored daisies. He managed to also pick up some of her favorite white chocolate lemon truffles from a nearby sweet shop.
He approached Moira's flat and opened it with the spare key she gave him. He opened the door to see that Moira was huddled up on the couch in a blanket cocoon while watching tv. Moira looked up at him with tired eyes and smiled as he closed the door.
"Hey, babe," Moira greeted.
He walked over to kneel in front of her, "How are you feeling?"
Moira shrugged with a weak smile, "Still cruddy but not as bad as before."
"Well, I hope that these will make you feel better," Jacob said as he presented her with the flowers and truffles.
"Oh, Jacob..." Moira said softly as she looked at the gifts, "These are perfect. Thank you."
Jacob smiled then leaned up to place a kiss on her forehead. Moira then moved to grab something off the coffee table. Moira then presented Jacob with a Valentine's Day card that looked handmade. Jacob was surprised to see this and took the card.
"This looks amazing, Moira," Jacob said with a smile as he looked at the hearts and lace around the card.
"Well I had time to make it since... well you know," Moira replied with a small smile.
Jacob chuckled and gave her a hug and thanked her. Jacob soon headed towards the kitchen to place the flowers into a vase and the truffles in the fridge so Moira could have them later when she could taste things again. He then made Moira a cup of tea along with some soup. Moira cuddled up to Jacob on the couch as they watched a movie together. Jacob had laid out on the couch as Moira laid on top of him. He looked down eventually to see that Moira was fast asleep against him. He smiled at Moira and kissed the top of her head.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Moira," Jacob whispered.
