This is a series of loosely connected scenes set in an AU in which Ardyn joins Noctis and Co on their way to Altissia in order to screw with Bahamut's plan and take on the astral together. Centered around a "chaotic good and/or neutral" kind of Ardyn, but mostly told from Noctis' POV. See the author's note in chapter 1 for more details. Updates whenever.

No pairings. Somnus, Aera and Gilgamesh are mentioned.

Tales of the Chosen King vary in different universes. In most, the Chosen King sacrificed his life to save the world. Others, the King found ways to defeat the darkness without his sacrifice. In another, the King fell to darkness and became what he sought to destroy. However, in one, the world only has a child that has powers he can't explain. Will he save the world or destroy it?

AU Where Noctis wasn't chosen by the crystal. Exiled from his home country, Noctis found a place in the Fleuret's army, the only thing standing between Nifelheim and Lucis. In a world of war and betrayals, Noctis must gather allies to lay waste to the empire and also prevent his kingdom from collapsing from the inside. Luna has plans for him, if he's willing to lend her his powers.
