A dream that I dreamed previous night before yesterday, I arrived from at someone's backyard after a home improvised, roller-coaster ride. The ride ended and I was able to see a warren of beautiful rabbits. They were beyond a fencing, but they were able to go through a broken fence opening. The ride came to a stop by a backyard table. When I exited out with a few riders, there was the rabbits. They managed came through the fence and hopped onto the table. Some of the riders were "awing" over the cuteness of the rabbits. However, for me, because I enjoyed Watership Down, I grew to like rabbits and could imagine if I could gain their trust. The rabbits weren't seemed to be domestic, since I didn't see any cages of them.
At one moment, I was able to get close to them. I than noticed there were kittens with them. It seems to me that they're a family. Apparently, as I reached my right hand slowly out. Odd you could say, the doe rabbit came to my hand first. She hopped slowly, before she got to sniff my hand. I remain still and didn't even move a muscle. The mother, with white fur coat with black spots around her eyes. Her eyes were hazel-brown. She than started to lick my hand, even at one point she give me a gentle bite. I didn't feel any pain, but felt a minor pinch, before she moved away from my hand a bit. I slowly started to reach for her back. Without any fright nor movement, I was able to pet on her back. I could feel her smooth, soft fur. At one point, as I pet on her soft side, I could felt her breathing back and forth, back and forth.
I than looked at the kittens to see them alike to their parents, even a few that were pure white and pure black fur. Even one of the black kittens have white paws. Adorable yes, but they were more beautiful.
"You and your mate have beautiful children." I spoke to the doe.
She than nodded her head. I couldn't believe! She could understand me. Her mate came and the two nuzzled each other. It was a heartfelt feeling. The two were meant to be with each other and they must be happy.
"You two must been in love, I bet." I asked.
The two looked at me and nodded.
"We're blessed to have them in our lives." the doe spoke.
"Yes, without Frith, we wouldn't be with each other." the buck than spoke.
I was amazed to hear the rabbits talked to me. I even asked if they were able to speak to the others. They stated, only if they gained our trust.
"You seemed to be kind hearted human, that we earned your trust." the doe said.
"Thank you." I thanked them.
I than noticed the train was already gone. It was perhaps my time to leave. I didn't want to leave, but unfortunately I had to.
"Don't worry." the doe assured me. "I give you a gentle poke so in case you wake, you'll be able to remember us."
"And your always welcome to visit us again." the buck stated.
"Thank you." I gave them a gentle pet on their backs for the last time. They even gave me a nuzzle.
"Goodbye! Goodbye! Come back soon!" I than hear the kittens started to say goodbye and waving to me.
I waved back at them, as well to their parents. "Goodbye, see you again soon! I won't forget you guys!"
The kittens came to their parents and all of them waved at me a goodbye. I waved back at them, as I entered the house and made a final wave to them, as it was the last time I saw them.
When I woke up from my dream, I thought it was the most beautiful dream I've ever dreamt of. Whenever I'm at work and/or at home, as I looked at my right hand, I could think of The English Rabbits that I gained their trust and welcomed me, if I ever dream of them again.
