[Episode 50: The Walls Come Tumbling...]
"That will be 16 Poké Dollars."
Wes took out a few bills and handed the vendor the money for eight Sea Salt ice creams. He then passed them all to his Pokémon. One for each of them except for Hydreigon. He had three of them for each head.
Espeon took seven of the ice creams and made them all float to their designated owners. Those with limbs took their ice cream.
"Splendid 'afters' we're tasting, aren't we fellows?"
"Quite quite!"
"I do concur!"
The three headed dragon Pokémon complimented as they swallowed their ice cream and popsicles in one gulp.
"I always assumed that the longer I would know of you, the easier it would be to understand you." Delta Wartortle spoke up before grabbing his ice cream. "Why does that not apply here?"
"They all just said that they like the ice cream." The Elektross spoke up before everyone looked at him. "What? I ended up being a translator for Super Nut's monologuing before we met you guys. You pick up a few things out of all the superfluous language one hears through a long period of time." He held his ice cream and placed the whole thing in his mouth.
"Congrats, you are now dubbed the 'verbal' translator of the group." Espeon chuckled.
"I didn't ask for this."
"No one ever does." Umbreon responded to Elektross' quick comment before laughing as well.
Wes and his Pokémon started walking down the stands until he felt his PDA receive a message. He opened it up and saw that it was from Summer in that she was heading back to the league because some people claim that they saw their lost rangers come to this area and warns him that Anto may be in danger.
"A demon implanted into your brain might do that too you…" The Snagger commented to himself. He told Summer about what Anto had learned in a dream, causing the Ranger to almost drop her mission and check on Anto. However, now she had a valid reason to come back.
The sliver haired boy put his PDA down before his eyes caught something beyond the crowd.
A very familiar bald head with black and red clothes…
A Team Snaggem Grunt.
Wes quickly recalled Hydreigon and Elektross before looking to his remaining Pokémon. "We need to move."
"Huh? Why… Team Snaggem?! Here?!" Umbreon noticed the lonely grunt deciding if he wanted to buy a plush Squirtle, Bulbasuar, or Chamander.
Wes and his three Pokémon carefully hid behind one of the stands and after the Grunt bought the Bulbasuar Plushie, started following him.
"Wes, before we continue," Delta Wartortle started. "I think you should silence your PDA as to not give our location."
The Snagger said nothing and put off his PDA before asking his Delta to hide in the Grunt's shadow to tail him better.
Wes stalked the unsuspecting Grunt even though the man just walked around broad daylight like a regular civilian, stopping by other attractions, and eating in restaurants. Eventually, it even took the whole afternoon before this finally happened, the Grunt finally walked around to a more secluded area and poorly tried to see if someone was following him.
There was a very old and far away warehouse that Wes potted the Team Snaggem grunt enter into, which signaled to Wes that was where Team Snagem was currently holed up.
"Alright you two, we go back, I'm sure Delta can take care of hims—"
There was a clicking sound coming right behind from Wes. The Snagger slowly turned his head to see Hunter J pointing her freezing gauntlet at him and his Pokémon.
"Well well, if it ain't, Wes."
From behind one of the trees, Wakin, the second in command of Team Snaggem, walked out into view and then leaned on a tree with a victorious smirk.
"I was wondering where you were these past few months. Turns out you were 'gallivanting' all across Unova."
Wes scoffed. "I'm surprised you know the meaning of the word, gallivant."
"Really?" Wakin stood back up with his Gloom walking right beside him. Espeon and Umbreon tensed but Hunter J kept her gauntlet pointed at him. Wes' mind started racing: there was no way she would come to him like this. Her Pokémon might be hiding in wait, and her gear might have prevented Espeon and Umbreon from detecting any of these guys.
Wakin continued talking. "I thought out of all things to be surprised about, it would be the fact that the Infamous Hunter J, a name even we backwater thugs know, just so happens to be your mother."
Behind her visor, Hunter J moved her eyes towards Wakin despite not moving her finger from the trigger.
Wakin shrugged his shoulders since he seemed to catch the glance from the silver haired woman. "Your men are just as tempted to gossip as school girls. And here I thought you guys would be more professional than us—then again it was our men that exploded the restroom…"
Hunter J said nothing and turned her focus back at Wes.
"What are you two doing here?" Wes asked, but he had a pretty good idea why they were here.
"That's a question I should be asking you."
For the first time, Wes' eyes widened in shock. He knew that third voice.
Out of the shadows stepped out a large bulking man with a really stupid and silly mustache.
Wes then narrowed as he felt himself starting to sweat. "Gonzap."
The hulking man smiled. "Doesn't this remind you of the day you first joined Team Snaggem?"
[Earlier that day…]
"Hey, Anto!"
The mute stopped walking and looked over to the voice calling his name. He wasn't expecting Sebastion and his Lucario walking up to him and Takezo.
"I saw your battle with that other guy in a show. Man, you've definitely got better in such a short amount of time." The older teen folded his arms.
Lucario looked over to Takezo and bowed. "Mr. Takezo."
The samurai bowed in return. "How do you fare?"
"I am well, thank you for asking." The female Aura Pokémon returned.
Anto, while happy to meet an old friend, asked him why he called out to him.
Sebastion winced before slowly rubbing the back of his head with his hand. "I… lost unfortunately. My Pokémon gave their all along with me, but I got beat by a girl named Trinity—are you alright?" The older teen looked down on the mute because he seemed to twitch the moment he said his opponent's name. Anto told him he was fine, so he went on hesitantly. "Okay…. Well I came over since I really was looking forward to our rematch though it looks like I wouldn't be able to have it with you."
The young amber eyed boy blinked in surprise. "You wanted a rematch with me? I thought that was just Lucario?"
"What? Hey! Anto, you stand out like a sore thumb that's plated in candescent gold while surrounded by a dull gray color!"
"I like your choice of vocabulary."
The chestnut colored haired young man opened his mouth before stopping and considering his next words. "Huh, yeah they sorta do sound weird, but that's not the point. When we first battled back at Nimbasa, I had fun during our fight, and I was looking forward to that again if we fought in the league." He admitted before a small frown appeared on his face. "Too bad though…"
Anto blinked, he never really noticed that Sebastion actually wanted to battle with him that much. He thought to what Jamie once told him: how he seemed to always have fun in his battles.
"We can still have a battle when this is all over."
Sebastion smiled. "When you put it like that, it sounds like there's no problem at all." He patted the boy's shoulder. "Good Luck on today's match, Anto."
"Huh, to think I was going to say that."
To Anto's surprise, he saw another familiar face. "Arran?" The younger teen looked towards the spiked and purple haired boy.
"I saw your battle against that Haruto character. It was quite a close fight."
The mute felt a little guilty after hearing that. He wasn't fully conscious during that battle in the first place. "Anyway, what are you doing here?"
The other teen shrugged. "I'm here to enjoy the sights. These large scale tournaments aren't usually my style though."
Anto took this moment to look up on a nearby television screen that was showing the next battles for today. The three boys looked over to see that Anto once more had the first match of the day.
"Ooohhh. You're up against her!" Sebastion spoke up as Anto stared at the new bracket for the semi finals.
He was against Tiana's sister, Trinity, the girl who almost killed him for being the over protective sister.
Whoope.
"Any tips?" The youngest boy among the trio asked the older teen with chestnut hair.
"No."
Anto mentally called him a jerk in his own mind.
"You're going to have to beat her at your best. Well, see ya later Anto!" Sebastion and Arran then waved goodbye to relax and leave the amnesiac to his own worries.
Anto and Takezo started walking down the corridor. They were originally trying to get to the training grounds to see if they could work on some last minute training.
However, Takezo spotted something above him and told Anto to break away from his course and follow him.
Takezo made him look up to spot three fliers heading his way.
The young amnesiac smiled as he spotted them. Summer, Ben, and apparently Aster flew in and landed on the ground. Ben said goodbye to Latios while Aster said farewell to wild Starraptor and Summer recalled her own Pokémon.
"Anto!" Summer cried out as she gave the younger boy a hug. "Good to see you again!"
"Glad to see you too, and you're as well Aster?"
"Sup kid!" The ranger with a Bagon spoke up. "I was supposed to go on the same mission as these two, but I had some other responsibilities holding me back."
"Huh how weird that everyone I met back in Nimbasa City is coming here, I wonder if Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, or even Diamond and the others are coming here?"
"Funny you should mention that. Guess who's coming soon later today?" Summer smiled.
Anto wonder who else that Summer knew that was coming later today? In fact, he sure was meeting a lot of people today that he had met before…
"It's Tracey! He's finally coming back!" Summer spoke out.
The younger teen was excited. He had not seen Tracey in so long!
"Glad to see you're doing well." Ben spoke up. "But honestly, I'm kind of hungry, we've searched almost non-stop for the past few days."
With that, Anto lead them back towards the Cafeteria. However, he just had this feeling that something wasn't right with the world since everyone he knew was slowly coming back together.
He slowly made a motion to his Poké Ball belt.
For him, that feeling always came before something really bad actually happened.
If only he could stop this feeling from growing worse and worse with each passing second.
[Later]
Anto looked towards the row where his friends sat and felt worried. He didn't see Tiana this morning, and Wes… hadn't come back after he left.
I mean, sure they didn't need to watch him, but then again this was the semi finals of the league. Also, now that he thought about it; it was weird of Wes to suddenly disappear without anyone telling him. Not to mention this was technically him versus Tiana's older sister, so why would the amethyst eyed girl not be here?
Granted, Summer, Benga, Ben, and Aster where the only ones staying with him right now. Black, Bianca, and White were all at Black's semi final match with Cheren which was over in another nearby stadium. Both of their matches were happening at the same time so the others could find out who was facing who in the final.
Anto was somewhat worried for the Unova Natives. They were all warned how Cheren was not really himself and Black wanted to snap him out of whatever was happening to him. Though he pushed it aside as he made his way as he entered into his side of the arena.
"Welcome one and all to the first Semifinals of today!" Mcguyver shouted out loud. "By now you know their names by heart, meet Trinity and Anto!"
Anto gulped as he looked over the older trainer. His initial fear of her when he first met was traumatic.
He didn't know he was laughing nervously and giving up a small wave to the girl.
The young boy visibly paled when a dark smirk formed on the girl's face and his eyes widened as she made a sliding motion of her thumb across her neck.
It was at that point the young boy did not want to look in that direction any longer than he needed to. Anto looked at the crowd where he spotted Sebastion, Arran on one side and then as he looked further he saw the girl, Caitlyn, and Anthony's family. He was surprised to actually see them all there.
"Trainers! Ready your Pokémon!" That snapped Anto out of his stupor as he threw out Super Nut as his opponent brought out an Agieslash.
To the dismay of Anto, Super Nut was posing much more dramatically and awkwardly for all to see.
"Halt, Citizen! You are in the presence of a The Stalwart Oval, The Spike Crusader, The Thorn of Justice—"
The opposing shield and Sword Pokémon turned towards her trainer. "Trinity, why am I facing a nut job?"
"It's pronounced, 'Super Nut', Citizen! Nut Job was the name of my first imaginary sidekick! "
Anto face palmed as the stage was locked down to the Normal Type Stage. "Super Nut, ju-just set up Stone Drainers."
Ageislash acted fast, trying to cut down on the Stalwart Oval. Super Nut was surprisingly mobile for a Ferrothorn and quickly shot out a large amount of floating green rocks after dodging the strike. He slung one of the green rocks at the Steel and Ghost type, only for the opponent to avoid the thrown rock.
Trinity ordered her Pokémon to start using Shadow Ball to hit the masked steel type, but like before, Super Nut easily avoided the attacks.
One of the Shadow Balls bounced off the floating rocks, starting another chain reaction of boulders hitting one another again.
Anto knew what Trinity was up to since Drayden did the same thing to him. However, instead of stopping the boulders, the mute asked his Pokémon to start moving more boulders into each other.
The air around the arena was chaotic, boulders crashing left and right and Super Nut kept bringing out more and more of them to do the same thing. Everyone in the audience and the trainers were starting to have a hard time keeping up with everything.
However, in that chaos, Super Nut launched a rock at Aegislash, hitting the Pokémon's blind side and planting Leech Seeds on it.
Trinity stopped getting distracted and pinpointed where the super hero was with the help of some Aura. She commanded her Pokémon to fire a Shadow Ball and it did manage to hit the jumping Pokémon.
"Owwww." The super hero groaned before a light came over him the healed some of his wounds.
"Alright, now you ticked me off!" The Aegislash screamed as he fired another Shadow Ball.
Anto pointed his hand, "Force Back Variant!"
Trinity raised her brow as she sensed the words but was surprised when Super Nut used Protect to stop the attack—then trap the attack in the forcefield and slung it back with greater speed.
The ghost type was definitely not expecting his own attack reflected back at him and was nailed straight in the eye with his own attack.
"Whoo! I knew figuring out a way to make Protect return attacks was a good idea!" Anto jumped for joy before side stepping a rock that almost crushed him from above.
Unfortunately for Trinity, Ageislash got back up from the direct hit, only for the leech seeds surrounding him to sap what little strength he had left.
Trinity narrowed her eyes. She really wasn't expecting the kid to be so—she side stepped from a rock crushing her. She looked up noticing the rocks weren't stopping from crashing around the arena.
"Not to worry Citizens, the rocks shall eventually," Unfortunately for the monologuing hero, a rock fell on top of him, though he did claim that he was alright after he slowly crawled out of the rock.
Figuring these rocks needed to go, Trinity brought out her Hydreigon and they all quickly destroyed a majority of the rocks thanks to her command.
Anto called out for his Pokémon, who eventually crawled out of the dust, but the Super hero Pokémon was fine and claimed he was alright and "Rising above the evils of society."
However, Anto recalled his friend back before bringing out Kryx, signaling that the boy was switching out for this next battle.
The first thing that Trinity commanded as soon as this next battle started was a triple powered Dark Pulse right for Anto's Pokémon. Kryx, to avoid the attack, teleported up on high and her eye started glowing.
She fired a telekinetic blast down on the three headed dragon and hammered them then pinned down to the ground.
Trinity narrowed her eyes as she figured that little alien had just used Miracle Eye, she was warned by Victor about that combo, but still the alien used that power amazingly quick. "That's annoying. Hydreigon, attack the ground with Dragon Pulse!" While the dragon was pinned, all the heads aimed their attack on the ground and created a dust explosion that clouded the area.
Kryx didn't see her target anymore so she let go of her psychic hold. However, Anto warned her not to stay in the same spot for too long and to fly higher up.
The little psychic did as she was told, but now she was having trouble hitting the Dragon from her range.
Suddenly, her eyes lighted up as she raised one of her limbs. "I learned this trick from OHKO!" Kryx shouted to the skies and suddenly made Anto pale.
She created a psychic construct that looked like a giant fist, and quickly teleported right behind the three headed dark type to punch them away.
"Whoo! It worked! … but why do I feel so tired?"
The three heads of Hydreigon noticed the sudden loss of vigor in their opponent and fired a powerful triple Dark Pulse at the small psychic type. The little scientist didn't have much energy left and was hit dead on by the attack and knocked out cold instantly.
Quickly, Anto recalled the psychic type mid air. It looked like a psychic construct of a giant fist was too much energy for the scientist. They would have to work on that move later.
It was the call for the third round with both trainers tied 5-5 . Anto threw out Sentinel as his next Pokémon.
"Oh hey! How's it going chaps?" The Delta Pokémon from the Torren region happily waved.
"What the heck are you talking about?" All three heads asked at the same time.
The ghost Dragon paused thoughtfully for a second. "Wait, you guys aren't Wes' Hydreigon! They all have funny accents!"
Trinity and her Pokémon looked at Sentinel confusingly.
"We Hydreigon are not like that." The main head spoke up as the other two nodded in agreement.
(Oh swell; it's just us.) Anto sarcastically thought to himself.
The match was called to begin and both dragon types wasted no time with blasting two dragon type moves at each other. The blast created a huge impact that covered the entire field with smoke.
Trinity quickly closed her eyes and used Aura to pin point where everyone was. "There! He's charging right for you, Hydriegon!"
The three dragons fired again right in front of them. The powerful Dragon Pulse was splitting the smoke around them.
Sentinel knew the attack was coming right for him since he heard Trinity all the way from over there, but ran towards the right to avoid the beam and unleashed a Shadow Ball towards his opponent.
The attack was dodged by the floating dragon type, but as they swerved to the right to dodge it, Sentinel Specter Stepped right behind them and unleashed a powerful Dragon Claw across their back and kicked-stomped them right back into the ground once more.
"Stop smacking my Pokémon to the ground!" Trinity yelled.
"Hey that's not my fault!" Anto tried to defend himself.
As the dust settled, it turned out that Trinity's Hydreigon was out cold from the attacks from the last two Pokémon, so she recalled the fainted Pokémon and then brought out a Chandelure.
"Wow! Would you look at that folks!? Both trainers are holding nothing back with all of their best moves on the line!" The Mc cried out with hype as the crowd ate it up.
Anto looked at his Battle AR and noticed it was already full for its first Synergy Burst. A smile spread across his lips as he found this fact out.
The next match officially was called and Trinity wasted no time in making her first move. However, it wasn't an offensive move.
Anto's eyes widened as a doll object was suddenly in place of where Chandelure was. Quickly, Sentinel attacked the figure with a powerful swipe of his empowered claws. However, Chandelure appeared right behind the Delta Pokémon and brought up a powerful Shadow Ball.
That was what would have happened if Anto did not rapidly activate his Synergy Burst the moment of the attack. The burst of power repelled the ghost type and the ghost and fire type flinch backward.
This allowed Sentinel, with new power, to come up to the distracted opponent and unleash a much more powerful version of his Shadow Claw. Chandelure flew to the sky and then landed on the ground like a Ragdoll, knocked out cold.
Trinity clicked her tongue. Synergy Burst was in a sense, much like Mega Evolution except that it had a shorter time limit rather than being kept up as long as the Pokémon in conscious. In exchange though, it can be used for all Pokémon rather than just a select few. Trinity did not expect how it would work, but seeing that its exploding energy could make Pokémon flinch if they got to close was something dangerous and obviously Anto knew how to use it.
She had an idea and quickly called out her Haxrous, who on appearance in the field made a mighty roar that made those closest to her shudder. Then she narrowed her eyes towards Sentinel even though the Delta Pokémon was powered up.
Anto and Sentinel tightened their stances, sensing this one was a lot more vicious. Sentinel then started the battle with a quick Shadow Ball towards the evolved Dragon type only for the Pokémon to quickly duck under and rush with uncanny speed towards the powered up Pokémon. Sentinel jumped into Phantom Force to avoid Haxrous from slamming his tail down on him and appeared right behind him/ However, the situation was reversed as Trinity's dragon type spun on its heel and used a powerful Dragon Tail on the Pokémon which then made the empowered Pokémon turn into light and go back into his Dusk Ball.
In that same instant, Lily came out in shock. "Why am I heEEEEREE!?" She shrieked as Haxarous quickly swiped used a Poison Jab right into Lily with her tail.
The grass type flew into the distance and rolled on the floor like a rag doll. Then Haxrous then started using Dragon Dance as Lily slowly tried to get back up.
Trinity then shouted for her Pokémon to use Outrage, and a dangerous power overcame the mighty dragon Pokémon.
Anto quickly sent a message to his downed Shiny Pokémon. Leaves gathered beneath the Lilligant and then sprung her upward like a catapult to get her out of the path of the rampaging dragon.
Still the axe head dragon slid to a stop before rampaging his way towards the beautiful grass type.
The mute trainer formulated an idea in his head that Lily quickly got and used a Flash attack to momentarily blind everyone that was looking at her directly, especially Haxarous.
As the light died down, Lily acted quickly and used Magical Leaf to gather in front of the still moving dragon type. The pile of leaves formed a small stump that the powerful dragon tripped over right on to a large pile of floating Magical Leaves.
The Shiny grass type narrowed her eyes and catapulted her enemy over her head and launched her towards the wall on the edge of the arena.
Despite moving through the air, Haxarous spun and landed on the vertical wall with her hind legs before pushing off—making the area behind the wall shake violently—and jumping back towards her opponent with great force.
The young amnesiac panicked, and quickly ordered Lily to side step the attack which she did barely by once more using the Magical Leaves beneath her to lift her into the air.
Haxarous spun and slid to a stop before performing another Dragon Dance with a mighty roar.
Up in the air, Lily covered herself in leaves before exploding the leaves to scatter and distract everyone. As the wind settled, the entire field was filled with grass clones that started using Quiver Dance.
Trinity quickly ordered her Pokémon to use Earthquake, and in no time at all the entire field became split and caused most of leaf clones to fall. … Except one floating on top of a pile of leaves.
Haxarous narrowed her eyes at the floating grass clone and rushed for it with amazing speed.
Lily released her leaves and fired an empowered Energy Ball onto her opponent. However, Haxarous powered through that attack like it was nothing.
With amazing speed, Haxarous had caught up to Lily, but the grass type had one more leaf up her sleeve.
In one instant, both Pokémon were found flying away from each other and landing harshly on the ground by some heavy impact.
"What the!? How did that happen?!" Anto's opponent asked in shock.
Everyone turned to the MC who was showing an instant replay of what happened. In slow motion, before Haxarous touched Lily, the grass type had one Magical Leaf in her hand that was glowing brightly before she threw it a few milliseconds before Haxarous made contact with her speed. However, what surprised everyone was that even in slow motion, the leaf was moving fast as if it wasn't slowed down.
"A while back, Burgh used something called Mach Leaf where a Razor Leaf attack had all of its power condensed into one simple leaf. I pretty much stole that idea, since it was too good not to teach Lily that though we really had trouble trying to make it work for some time." Anto explained to Trinity.
"Just how many tricks do you have?" The black haired girl narrowed her eyes.
To her surprise, the question made the boy smirk. "For some reason, I have this nasty habit of sometimes creating them as I go along."
Then the young black haired boy threw out Ohko for his next Pokémon. Trinity raised her brow at him because the air around the boy seemed to change the more this battle went on. Instead of the nervous, sweating boy she traumatized back at Virbank City, there was this brave but happy trainer facing her down.
Trinity had to admit, she was getting pushed back hard. She already lost already four of her Pokémon while the kid only lost two.
"Looks like I've got to take this seriously. Go, Bisharp!" Trinity yelled as she brought out the dark and steel type into the battlefield.
The battle quickly began as Ohko jumped high into the air and threw a Focus Blast right at the Pokémon. In retaliation, the Bisharp side stepped the thrown attack—but was not expecting the attack to explode as he was attempting to dodge the sphere.
Bisharp slid on the ground before dodging a side kick from Ohko by rolling forward. Then he threw his leg out right towards the fighting type's face, only for blue Pokémon to hop backward out of the kick's range.
Bisharp's blades glowed with dark energy and extended the range of his sword arms. He then went forward to attack Ohko with the improved Night Slash ability. The fighting type dodged most of the attacks, but some of the time, the attack did scratch the surface of his skin in close occasions.
At one point, Ohko slid into a fighting stance and smiled as he suddenly caught one of the dark blades with his own hand that was glowing blue.
"I've been fighting Tak, for a long time." Ohko then pushed Bisharp back brought his hand back into a stance. "He's definitely faster than you."
"Bisharp, Thunder Wave!" Trinity called out making the steel and dark type shoot a bolt of thunder at the fighting type that coursed through his body.
With the fighting type paralyzed, Bisharp unleashed a devastating amount of attacks on the fighting type. Yet even though each of his attacks connected, Ohko continued to remain standing, albeit he was slowly losing energy.
Eventually, the fighting type fell forward on one knee, making Bisharp see his chance and unleash a Metal Burst attack to finish off the weakened Pokémon.
However, before the attack was finalized, Ohko opened one of his eyes and tightened his fist. He moved his back foot to push himself forward and revealed he was using his own Counter move from all the attacks he's received in that moment.
As the dust settled, it was revealed it was another draw. However, with all of this battling, Trinity was down to her last Pokémon.
"Amazing folks! It seems as if our young trainer has cornered Trinity down to her last Pokémon! Does she have what it takes to pull off a miracle?"
Trinity inhaled deeply and shook her head. "Hey, Anto was it?"
Anto blinked at her. Instead of worried, she looked relaxed.
"You're actually a really good trainer, you know that?"
Anto tilted his head at the odd statement then shrugged his shoulders. "Thanks, but truth be told, I don't know how I came this far."
To Trinity that was different when she compared all the other trainers before her. They all had this passionate drive that drove them all towards this moment. However, to her Anto was a rather mild mannered boy. How did he come this far?
"How… odd…" She managed to trail as she threw out her final and best Pokémon: Abby, the Absol. "But there's no way I'm losing to some kid!" As soon as she said this, She mega evolved her final Pokémon into a Mega Absol.
Again, Trinity noticed something the moment she said this: Anto's eyes had sharpened and had a confident glow in them.
"With all due respect, actions speak louder than smack talk! Ohko, Focus Blast!"
Absol dodged the fighting type and quickly went into close combat of the fighting type. Trinity then shouted out to use a Play Rough attack right in close proximity of the fighting type.
The accumulated damage was too much for the fighting type, and eventually he fell into the ground unconscious.
Anto looked at the board, 3v1 and he was up against a Mega Absol.
A Mega Absol huh? Wasn't that the very first Mega Pokémon Anto met? How poetic.
The young boy readied his Poké Ball. "Takezo, The battlefield calls!" He cried as he threw it out into the field.
The small Samurai slowly opened his eyes as he stared down a real Mega Absol. He unsheathed his wooden blade and pointed it at Abby. "This time, I will not fall in one hit."
Mega Absol's head blade started glowing as the Pokémon quickly came in to use a Night Slash on the smaller Pokémon.
CLANG!
Takezo parried the attack by wrapping his blade in his own dark energy and causing both blades to clash. The two backed off as Mega Absol quickly used Sucker Punch that the normal type side stepped away from.
"Abby, use Swords Dance!" Trinity threw her hand out, making the dark mega glow with more power. The disaster Pokémon, with new found power launched herself right at the small sword user. Takezo's eyes glowed light blue as he avoided all swipes from the dark type in quick, clockwork fashion.
"Leave it to Young Anto's Patrat to dazzle the audience with graceful moves that I am fairly sure that no Patrat has done before!" The Mc cried out as the sword battle continued on, and no matter what, the crowd always seemed to love the sword battles the unexpected normal type had.
Anto looked up his Battle AR and noticed his Synergy Gauge was full. An Idea came to him as he quickly ordered Takezo to slide under Abby's belly. Dodging a swipe, Takezo rolled forward until he was kneeling right below the mega's stomach and in that instant, Anto activated the Synergy Burst right from underneath the dark type. The gathering energy pushed Abby upward as a Rainbow Aura wrapped around the Pokémon.
The mega dark flailed in the air, before noticing down below, Takezo summoned an electrical Katana with a rainbow outline before taking a sword stance as she was dropping towards him. The Dark type narrowed her eyes, fixed her wings to glide downward with faster speed, and gathered all of her energy into a Sucker Punch right towards the small Normal type.
In one moment, two slashes connected… and the two Pokémon remained frozen as they were a now a few feet away from each other.
It was then, after a few silent seconds, Takezo stepped forward and turned around before bowing. "Thank you for showing me how far I've grown since I began this journey."
Then Abby fell into the ground unconscious.
The crowd cheered as Anto was declared the winner.
But then they were all silenced as a pillar of Fire came from the other stadium. Anto looked back with worry since he knew that area was where Black was having his Semi Final battle.
[?]
"My lord, Reshiram has finally appeared."
"I see… so Black has finally been chosen as the hero to stand against me. rood, begin the Ascension."
"Yes, Lord N."
[Back with Anto.]
The young boy quickly started making his way towards Black (after making a quick pit stop to heal his Pokémon.) and he was being followed by the others until the ground beneath all of them started shaking.
"Is someone using an Earthquake move?!" Jamie cried out as everyone struggled to stay on their feet.
"This definitely isn't a regular Earthquake move!" Summer cried out as she got a Poké Ball out.
Despite the ground shaking, the group consisting of Anto, Benga, Jamie, Summer, Ben, and Aster ran outside where they saw a very, very large castle starting to rise from the ground.
"What in the name of Arceus is that!?" Ben cried out in shock.
"I think its team Plasma!" Anto managed to link to all of them.
Aster looked to Anto strangely. "What makes you think it's them!?"
"PEOPLE OF UNOVA, WE ARE TEAM PLASMA!" A booming voice echoed over the skies around them.
"Just a hunch." The Amnesiac quipped as all of them started running towards the battlefield where Black and the others were.
Benga suddenly stopped running and slid to a stop before throwing out his own Pokémon. A large tidal wave of water was heading straight towards them until Benga ordered Rei, his Volcarona to used Fire Blast on the body of water. The two attacks collided and a large cloud of steam erupted, making the group pause and see who caused that attack.
Out of the steam, a towering, muscular man walked out with a confident grin as more and more bald men wearing red and black clothes came out.
"So you're the kid huh?" The large imposing man with a really unorthodox mustache asked out loud.
"Wait I know you guys! You're—"
"Team Snagem! And I'm their boss, Gonzap!" The bald man took out a Pokémon Ball. "Now because you treated my snagger so well, I'm going to give you one chance to come with us peacefully."
Everyone paused at that sentence. Summer was the first to step forward and demand, "Snagger? What have you done to Wes!?"
"Anto, get out of the way!"
The young Amnesiac found himself being pushed away by a Lucario as a laser of gold hit the area he was standing in a few seconds ago.
"Are you alright?" Sebastion's Lucario asked the boy. Anto only nodded before looking up to see Hunter J ridding her Mega Salamance and seemingly locking gaze on him.
"Hunter J is back!?" Jamie yelled in horror, first Team Plasma, then Team Snagem, and now Hunter J!? What was going on!?
Arran and Sebastion came to the group's rescue with their Pokémon all out and ready.
"You know, I was really hoping that the next time we would all meet, there wouldn't be some kind of crazy free-for-all that may or may not kill us." Sebastion tried to joke.
"I am just as surprised this happened twice." Arran mentioned as he took a stance with his Pokémon to defend Anto.
Gonzap laughed while everyone heard screams coming from Black's battlefield.
Anto looked nervously around, with things looking so bad… why was this bad feeling in his stomach still growing worse?
Eventually, the leader of team Snagem signaled the team of grunts behind him to throw out their Pokémon as well. "So much for the easy way, looks like we gotta do this one the hard way."
The mute boy dodged another beam of gold from Hunter J, unclipped his Premier Ball, and got ready for another dog fight that was about to get unleashed in the Unova Finals.
{Author Notes}
Sorry this took so long, I've been having trouble with the official battles and thinking how it would go. It's not perfect I would admit since Trinity is supposed to be a previous runner up to a previous tournament, so the battle didn't go as evenly as I and his pokemon have become a lot stronger over the course of the journey and there is a reason for that soon...
But now I can finally write what I'm more comfortable with: Crazy chaos! I'm so excited with how the next few chapters are going to go down and I here's to hoping I can bring them out much faster!
Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas (Or whatever holiday you guys have) and will have a great New Year!
See ya soon!
