I didn't mean to betray him.

He was my friend; he cared about everyone even though he had his own troubles.

But then… I had another dear friend who gave his life for mine, even though I refused to let go of his.

It's not their fault is it? All because of Yvetal… all because my family was lost when he appeared…

No… it's not even a legendary's fault is it?

It's mine. I'm too weak. I'm weak.

I'm weak…

"Wes!"

The Snagger turned his head back and was surprised to see Summer and Flow riding on Latios of all Pokémon.

"Isn't that your friend's ride?" The shades wearing boy asked the goggles wearing ranger. "Did you steal it? I didn't know you had it in you!" He yelled over the wind turbulence.

"Cut the crap Wes! I know why you got out first! I'm worried about Anto too, but we need a plan!" Summer yelled back. "And for your information I persuaded Ben to let me borrow Latios!"

"I didn't know Summer was part dark type…" The little delta Pokémon shuddered—as well as Latios as if they witnessed something that terrified them to the bone when Summer turned towards Ben soon after Wes left.

There was a large crack of thunder as the clouds surrounding them grew dark within seconds. Wes quickly heard the sound of cackling energy and brought out Umbreon to quickly create a force field to protect them all from being struck by thunder.

"Is it a good time to mention Espeon once joked that at the rate Anto was going, his bad luck would have potentially caused the end of days?" Umbreon mentioned out loud. "Because he was totally kidding about that, Universe! You don't actually have to end right now!"

"Should have made a bet about that."

"Wes, you've taught us to never make fools' bets."

Summer rolled her eyes before noticing something as they came closer. "Hey… look over there!"

The Snagger snapped his head in the direction the ranger was pointing and even behind his shades he raised his brow.

There was a group of people tied up just outside of the barrier. And there was a man along with six other Pokémon circling around them like watch dogs.

"We have to help them!" Summer cried out as she signaled Latios to dive in.

Wes rolled his eyes. He would rather be helping Anto than a bunch of strangers. At least Anto actually gave him an allowance so he'd stop stealing his winnings from trainer battles. (It only made him steal from him less.)

"Latios, Flow, use Psychic!"

The two psychic users blasted at the trainer at his Pokémon. Said target looked up, only for his Charizard to get him out of the way while his Metagross tried to counter the attack.

However, the clash blew away certain devices that surrounded the captured group. As soon as they were blown away, Wes was close enough to realize who exactly the people being tied up were.

"Summer, wait!" Wes reached for his Pokémon as all the captured group slowly seemed to be waking up.

The black themed man quickly noticed that it was a Pokémon Ranger that was attacking, and quickly he realized that from the outside, it looked like he was terrorizing those people. "This is a misunderstanding!"

"A misunderstanding—?!"

"Nerd, it's Dimension Enterprise!" Wes desperately threw the words out as Summer snapped her head back towards the Snagger.

The Ranger looked back as three of the humans stood up as if they were never down in the first place. Their Pokémon flew instantly, subduing the black haired teen and his Pokémon by pinning them into the ground.

"You." Warden then looked over to see Wes staring at him with his own party of Pokémon.

"Well if it ain't da psycho ranger, how ya doin', girl?" Magus waved over to the girl. Summer blanched in surprise, she didn't recognize the face, but she remembered that voice from Nimbasa!

The woman among the group sharply turned towards Wes and tossed some of the devices keeping them asleep back towards the other humans as they placed it back on and booted up. "We have no time for this!"

"Make time!"

Wes and Summer turned around as they looked up to the darkened sky to see a rather sizeable, but small army of powerful trainers from the Unova League.

Alder and Drayden stepped down first from a Slamance from Arran as they walked over towards the agents of Dimension Enterprise.

"Everyone, stand down." Sied, the towering giant of a CEO stood up and walked over to his employees to calm them down.

"B-But sir!"

"Now is not the time, Inquisitor. Let that man we pinned down go." The bulky and muscular man picked up a phone and speed dialed something on it. "This is Omega, broadcasting to all agents. Code Fail-Safe is go; this is not a drill. I repeat: this is not a drill. Evacuate every civilian in Icirrus City."

"Uhh. Wait, are the bad guys supposed to be caring for the safety of civilians?" Aster asked out from the group though she got her answer when Drayden walked up to the leader.

"You are the ancient order that tried to keep Zeed from reviving."

"I'm surprised you know. Yes, my family has held responsibility for sealing over the otherworldly monster for millennium. Considering that all of you aren't reacting, I assume you've been told who we are and what we stand for?"

Summer jumped off Latios and carried Flow in her arms. "We're trying to catch up to Anto."

"Ha!" Warden scoffed. "Catch up to him?! We're all too late! The Seed had just entered into the Dragonspire Tower!" He primed his gauntlet and fired a ice attack on the forcefield, but the attack was instantly repelled. "There is ancient magic surrounding the entire area that's preventing anyone else but him from entering and YOU," He pointed accusingly at the black haired man with eyes of wrath. "Helped him get in there!"

"Warden." Sied emphasized his code name strictly. The anger of the agent wavered then stopped to a halt when he saw his boss' eyes narrow.

"I have a question; is there a possibility that Reshiram and Zekrom are in there?" Drayden asked the leader.

"Without a doubt. The original dragon was the one that helped seal the monster in the first place. The previous Subjects must have been waiting for a moment where two of them were such in a weakened state," Sied looked up to the Tower. "Not only that, their combined powers are what is keeping this forcefield up, it's impossible to bust through even considering all of our fire power."

"What makes you believe that?" Alder stepped forward. Considering how many high leveled Pokémon and trainers were here—heck there were even a few legendary mixed in! Even a powerful forcefield would eventually break from that amount of pressure.

"We scanned the forcefield: it's made of an unknown energy that dissipates anything that it chooses. We could have every legendary Pokémon attack this bubble, and it won't do anything because it deconstructs attacks at the molecular level faster than it could explode on contact."

"Err… does anyone know what he just said?" Victor pointed a finger up.

"Basically, the moment an attack touches the field, it vanishes. It doesn't even get a chance to do its usual effect." Trinity simplified it. "It doesn't matter if it's the strongest attack ever; it's not essentially touching the barrier in the first place."

That made everyone pause.

However, the silence was limited as thunder and lightning started chaotically increasing in frequency within the tower. The sea around the tower turned blood red and started bubbling upward. The trees within the field started to bend, and grass started to grow rapidly in front of everyone's eyes.

"They captured Subject 5. They're resurrecting the monster!" Sied gripped his fist tightly.

"T-There has to be something we can do!" Tiana blurted out as she looked at everyone.

That prompted some people to attack the forcefield with their Pokémon despite Sied's warning, their attacks hit the dome in a impressive show of power and fireworks, but no matter how much they tried, the forcefield showed no sign of weakening.

"Stop! Stop all of you! You're wasting your strength on it!" Sied yelled out commandingly, stopping even some of the trainers and Pokémon.

"But there has to be something we can do!" Bianca cried out. "Black and Anto are in there!"

"Unless Arceus himself dispels this barrier, nothing can!"

Suddenly, the ground shook so hard, it brought nearly everyone to the floor from the sheer intensity of it.

"I-It's being reborn isn't it?!" Warden screamed out, making everyone look towards the tower as blue cracks started to show in the runes of the tower.

"Wait, something isn't right!" Sied tried to remain standing as the shaking was slowing down.

Out of the tower, something larger than a football stadium busted through the roof.

Everyone paused in fear, was the demon finally free—wait. Why did the demon look like a Wailord?

"T-That's not the demon." Sied stared in shock.

His small sentence got everyone looking at him with shut-opened eyes.

There was a loud humming noise, like a Wailord Song that shook the skies and vibrated the dome. In a few seconds, the forcefield was dropped. Black shadows started trailing up the tower before countless shadows shot out of the tower and tried to snare the glowing, star-made giant.

"W-What on earth?" Ben looked up at the creature that was trashing among the shadows trying to tie it up.

Sied snapped out of his stupor. "Whatever that thing was, it's slowing down the resurrection! The forcefield is down: we can still stop The Fallen's revival!" He turned towards everyone. "I care little if you hate us or not, but as of right now, to prevent them from killing innocent people, I'm going in! Dragonite, Extreme Speed!" His green dragon type whisked his trainer away as he zoomed into the tower, smashing through walls that dared obstruct his path.

Everyone shared a look, before they all charged right after the man—only to find him stopping right in front of a dark, swirling vortex at the center of the floor.

"Well! That's certainly something you don't see every day." Sebastion commented to lighten the mood.

"The odds are a lot more stacked than I thought." Grimsley of the Elite four commented as he toyed with a coin in his hand.

"This is absolutely amazing stuff for my next novel!" Shauntal, his fellow Unova Elite Four agreed.

"I can't believe Black got himself into something like this." Cheren, of all people sighed as he stepped back, Bianca and White were about to ask why he did that until the glasses wearing boy surprised everyone by running and jumping into the vortex first!

Everyone stared in shock as the boy jumped in first out of all of them. Wes and Sied shared a look with each other, as if confirming silently that they would partner up—even though just minutes ago they were on two opposing sides.

Then the snagger smirked. "I guess if someone did jump off a cliff, people would follow!" Wes sarcastically noted as he and his Pokémon quickly followed suit, prompting everyone to either follow right after them or hesitate for a second before jumping right after them.

[?]

"Wakey, wakey."

He slowly opened his eyes. However, either closed or open it didn't help. All he saw was darkness.

"Come now, Anthony, I doubt you want to miss this."

Anto focused and looked at the figure in front of him—it was himself—no, Zeed. The young boy tried to move, but quickly found his body frozen in place mid air by three orbs, two for both his arms, and one for his legs. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move.

"Why do you mortals always try to struggle free yourself when you know that these restraints are made for subduing you."

"Zeed, what are you doing!?" Anto looked around, he saw that he, and his Pokémon were all in the same altar like circle. His Pokémon were also subdued in similar fashion but with more orbs for extra or lesser limbs. They all had a circular crown on them that more than likely suppressed their powers.

"I'm going to let you figure it out since I know you're currently overcome with emotion. Do not take this personally, Anthony, I rather enjoyed our brief time together. It was far more memorable than all of them."

Zeed turned back, and Anto saw five figures standing just outside of the stone altar. One was a towering man wearing an extravagant white suit with a black tie and black shoes. His blonde hair was swept back and his eyes… those purple eyes almost looked as empty as the abyss they were currently in.

The other one was a smaller man, but none the less tall. He was wearing a suit of armor and wore a face plate. On his chest plate, he had this crossed out symbol that looked similar to Dimension Enterprise's Globe. Was he the second Subject? His description fitted.

The third was another man of commanding presence; he wore a pristine cloak and held a bejeweled blade. He wore an old, but cleaned crown that gave the impression this man had lead armies to absolute victory. Zeed had briefly spoken about a Conqueror among the subjects. Beside him was someone who Anto had not seen in a long time: the Absol that attacked him all the way back early in his adventure.

The fourth actually surprised him. It was a girl around his age with beautiful blue hair and gorgeous orange colored eyes. She was dressed in a frilly, black dress and wearing a black bonnet and black choker that covered a large part of her neck while carrying around a black umbrella. She must have been Subject Four: The decapitated one. After all, even with her choker, he could still spots bits of scars on her neck.

And the fifth…

"J-Jamie?" Anto blurted out as he looked at his friend. The girl looked his way, before she broke eye contact and said nothing.

The young man didn't understand—or he didn't want to understand what his logical mind was piecing together quickly. She betrayed him.

His heart ached, his mind lurched in pain. It was like he had been betrayed before, but nothing of this level. However, his attention was caught with three people beyond her.

Two of them were wearing Ranger Unifroms, wait where they the Rangers Summer and Ben had been looking for? And that third person… a girl… wasn't she with Team Rocket?

But those three—those group of people behind all of them, why did they look so drained and zombified?

"It is time to begin the ceremony." The towering blonde man started.

Zeed nodded and stepped down to the tabernacle. "I will miss you, Anthony. Farewell."

"Zeed—!?" Anto was silenced as a light circled around his head and covered his brain and made the boy truly mute.

The chains all started to rattle as Zeed started chanting. The large shifting cube in front of them started to shift faster, and faster. Then it started to slowly separate itself one piece at a time as each shift threw away one smaller cube.

Red electricity shot out from the tabernacle, reaching Kyurem, the orbs, Anto and his Pokémon. The prisoners all wailed in pain as they felt their very souls being forcibly pulled from their bodies.

Then…

Anto, who was closing his eyes, wincing in pain… his eyes snapped open and they were glowing blue!

"What is going on?" The conqueror stepped forward in curiosity. Everyone witnessing the ceremony was confused at what the host was doing. All magic came from Zeed, so what was—

Zeed frowned while still chanting. He mentally cursed at something he had forgotten: the spirits that have been protecting the boy from him all this time. If he could manifest in this dimension, they could to.

Seven creatures made of cosmic space shot out of the boy's torso. The largest one, a Wailord-looking creature hummed in power that slowed down the shifting cube.

"Not this time, Guardian!" Zeed yelled as he slammed his hands together and the runes around him started extending.

The abyss shook violently. Six of the strange creatures slammed on the cube, making the smaller cubes slowly return to the prison and stopping its continual shifting.

The four subjects and their Pokémon made a step forward, but the largest among the creatures flew above and tore open a tear in the abyss.

"After that thing! It's reopening the entrance!" Zeed cried out before another violent shake rumbled in the abyss like several dozen Pokémon performing an Earthquake move at the same time.

Subject Two looked up at the tear. "We have company." He motioned one hand up as out of the shadows behind him, a Mega Metagross appeared with a black and yellow scheme instead of its usual color.

From up above, a large group of trainers and their Pokémon were descending down towards them. Some landed earlier on the many chains scattered all cross the abyss that stretched on farther than the sharpest of eyes could see, some were left floating in the air with the strange rules of gravity within here, but most landed on a large, glowing rune at the opposite side of the large cult before them.

Subject One looked towards their followers with righteous fury. "The fragments dare silence the truth! Fight on brethren! Fight for our true futures!" They had waited 10,000 years for this! And they were not letting anyone stop them!

The trainers all looked at where they had entered. All of them were crying out in surprise at such a bizarre area, but then Tiana pointed and shouted.

"There! I see Anto and Zekrom and Reshiram!"

Everyone looked towards the Tabernacle, and the army standing between them and their friends.

Sied screamed out before priming both his gauntlets towards their enemy. "Everyone! Do not let the demon be resurrected!"

Subject One stared and stepped forward as he saw Sied's falling form. "Konaterac… it's always you…"

Sied punched both his fists towards the army, and both gauntlets covered his arms and turned into cannons.

They both claimed to prime the attack, Hyper Beam.

The two beams of torrential power flew over towards their opponents. However, the large blonde man suddenly appeared in front of the beams along with a different colored schemed Mega Gallade and Mega Lucario.

They all punched the two beams that turned into a larger beam, and smashed it into harmless glitter.

Something like that would have surprised anyone; however, there remained the fact that the new entering group had just willing jumped into a vortex that led them to a dimension beyond their laws of physics could comprehend. Instead of surprised, everyone dropping in simply steeled themselves considering that they were about to engage in battle outside of the normal rules.

And thus, nothing short of small war broke out.

Pokémon started firing all over the abyss, electricity, fairy beams, ice, fire, all types ever recorded could be found flying through hitting their targets or missing and accidentally striking their targets with the warped spaced they were all fighting in. Sometimes the chains and the runes that people were fighting on would randomly lose stability, make those standing on it, fall through the floor. Flying Pokémon had trouble with how they would try to go up, only to find themselves moving towards the right or left unless they were somehow mind controlled and know which erratic movements to take. However, the attacking group were in no way slouches, in fact all trainers there were currently filled with some of the best trainers Unova had to offer at the time. They adapted quickly, using their own creative ways to fight back against the mindless drones who pressed on despite how hard they were hit.

However, none dared to get in between Sied and the blonde telepathic leader as two twisted mega Pokémon fought against the green Dragointe. The blonde, immortal seemed to be using powers of both psychic users and aura users in tandem, he was something like a monster in man's skin as he moved to try and kill the CEO of Dimension enterprise. However, the CEO was no slouch as well. He used his gauntlets to give him the edge needed to fight against subject one head on and when things seemed overwhelming, he would suddenly disappear, and reappear without a trace of moving and hit a blocking opponent, revealing that he was still using his time pausing trick.

Summer and Wes sped past the fighting, and made a bee line for Anto. They were followed by Tiana, White, Cheren, Ben, and Bianca.

Their path was blocked as a Moonblast was fired in the area in front of them, which caused Wes to hastily command his Umbreon to shield them with a Protect.

The frilly, yet gothic-dressed girl their age strode along in front of them in an attempt to bar their path.

"You uncouth fragments are very much starting to piss me off." The blue haired girl twirled her umbrella as five more Pokémon stood by her besides a Mega Gardevoir which consisted of a Mega Kangaskhan, a Mega Lopunny, a Mega Galilee, a Mega Aerodactyl, and a Mega Venasuar.

"Ugh! We don't have time for this!" White, her Serperior and Magnezone stepped forward with all her other Pokémon. "I'll hold her off, the rest of you go!"

"What!? How dare you ignore—"

"Kick her ass, White!" Wes cried out as he ran ahead with Summer and the others.

The decapitated girl fumed. "Dea!"

The mega Psychic and Fairy type looked beyond livid to the point she seemed to be the definition of eruption and wrath. "HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT THE PRINCESS! DIE!"

However, the same time she pushed her hand out towards the group, a streak of blue caused the Mega to back off as a Dewott came close to cutting her limb off.

White blinked and saw Bianca and Cheren standing beside her.

"Guys, what are you doing!? You should be helping Summer and Wes get back Anto and Black!"

"Those two can handle it. I'm more worried about you handling six mega Pokémon all by yourself." Cheren pushed his glasses up. "We've all seen what they can do and you need all the help you can get."

"And there's no way we're abandoning you! We stick together till the end!" Bianca told her as she and her Pokémon prepared themselves. "I'm tired of holding you all back! This time, I'm the one rescuing you guys!"

Subject four stomped her foot, her eyes glowed as her own arms spontaneously combusted in a pale green fire. She shrieked like a banshee as she slammed ripped apart her umbrella with her flaming hands. In one instant the flames spread out and formed chains of energy and the two stick ends of her umbrella had transformed into deadly kamas.

"I absolutely loathe being ignored!" Subject Four practically spat venom rather than spoke as she jumped into the air and attacked the trio from Nuvema Town.

The three were surprised, but they stood their ground and charged right for their otherworldly enemy.

Wes and Summer got to work fighting past grunts trying to swarm them. "You know—Espeon, Psychic there! This reminds me about that time with bridge, but—incoming stray Hyper Beam! W-Without Headband."

"The stakes are a lot higher than that time, Wes!" Summer then side kicked a Miltank before continuing her sprint.

"Halt."

Wes acted quickly, ordering Hydreigon to fire triple Dark Pulse above them as a Mega Metagross avoided the attack and flew right in front of their path.

"I'm not the only one starting to feel an overused cliché coming up, right?" The Snagger quipped as the Knight on top of the super computer Pokémon summoned more steel types to his side such as Mega Scizor, Excadrill, Magnezone, Bisharp, and Mega Steelix.

"I will not allow you to stop our savior." Subject 2 brought out a device that he pressed on, suddenly giving off a rainbow aura to all of his Pokémon.

"Of course he can use Synergy Burst on all of his Pokémon!" Wes complained.

The Mega Steelix swiped his tail to the group, causing all of them to back off from being crushed under the empowered strike that even shook the floating rune they were on like a piece of land.

After standing back up from the impact, Summer shouted out to Wes. "We have to get around them!"

"Don't any of you feel like holding him off so we can go ahead?" Wes looked back to Ben and Tiana.

"I don't stand a chance against him on a one on one!" The black haired girl cried out.

Ben pointed beyond the team. "Crap! We're being surrounded—Jack!? Summer! It's Jack and Keith!"

Summer blinked as she saw her two missing partners were right in front of her, coming their way with vacant expressions on their face. "Oh no! T-This was where you two were?!"

"Incoming!"

A Tropius crashed between the two groups and out of the smoke, Aster and her Bagon jumped off the Pokémon.

"Huh? Oh Jack! Keith! Hey! There you two punks are, we've been looking everywhere for—you two are brainwashed, aren't you?" The girl visibly slacked before sighing and punching her fists together. "Sorry in advance for knocking you two out cold in a bit."

"Your progress ends here." Subject Two turned his attention to Aster and her Bagon until Mega Metagross used Psyhic to prevent another powerful Psychic blast from hitting him.

Victor and Trinity landed on a nearby chain with their full party ready.

"I have to say, Trinity, this definitely trumps our first adventure in Kalos in how weird this all is!"

"Less talk, more battling the stupidly boosted Pokémon coming our way!" The stylish young woman cried out as she commanded her Haxarous to fire a Dragon Pulse at the rainbow glowing team.

"Now's your chance!" Ben cried out. "Aster and I will handle the grunts coming after you and Jack and Keith, the rest of you head towards Anto!" He then ran ahead, with his Pichu strumming his tiny guitar wildly.

A loud and sorrowful cry resounded among the war-torn abyss. Everyone that could quickly glanced over to see one of the six creatures preventing the cube from opening was swallowed up in darkness. With one of them gone, the cube started to shift slowly again while the remaining five creature whined in agony due to the fact more and more shadow tentacles tried to pull them away from the cube.

Wes, Tiana, and Summer looked at each other and nodded solemnly. Time was getting short for not only Anto, Black, and N, but for everyone else!

They bolted with renewed speed towards the tabernacle, blasting the countless, minions that tried to bar their path.

"Hmm," Zeed noticed as the spirits kept resisting. "This is taking too long. It's a good thing I kept a failsafe when I heard that their kind was still alive." He looked over to one small hooded figure. "You! Descendant of the Odinian Priestess!"

The hooded figure stepped forward towards Zeed as he continued to chant. The figure removed their hood, revealing a familiar blonde girl that had been long taken by Hunter J.

"I need your blood to increase the pace of the seal. Now."

The girl took out a dagger and slit a small piece of her skin. As he blood hit the stone, it suddenly spread out all throughout stone platform.

The blood seeped into the darkness and the bindings that were trying to pull the spirits away. Then, more of the blood-stained shadows a started to coil around the spirits and then another one was pulled off! Then another!

The seal was unlocking faster!

"Oh that is just not fair!" Tiana cried out before they were stopped by a very unlikely person.

"Jamie!? T-They got to you too!?" Summer cried out as their friend stood in front of them with all of her Pokémon.

"She actually refused to witness the truth to us." The conqueror strode beside her as a familiar, giant Volcornoa, Black Mega Absol, and a massive Mega Tyranitar followed their king. "But thanks to her, we had been able to bait the boy into the opening ceremony."

"I knew it! You were with them! That explains how you knew what happened with Anto back at the League! You were with them the whole time!" Tiana shouted and pointed to the girl.

Jamie clenched her fist and said nothing. Even as Wes and Summer looked on with shock and confusion.

"It matters little! All will be finally free of their endless lies this day!" The Conqueror brandished his blade after sputtering confusing sentences.

"Dang it, we're getting so close!" Wes screamed as another spirit was absorbed into a dark shroud. He turned to Summer. "Go! It's my turn to do the holding off thing!"

"I'm sticking with you!" Tiana said as she and her Pokémon looked over to Jamie. "I need to have a word with someone."

Summer didn't waste time as she tried to make her way towards Anto.

"Not this time! Volcorona!"

The Pokémon called out, started shinning as bright as the sun. "Be gone."

"Your target is elsewhere!" Delta Wartortle jumped out of its shadow and punched the mighty sun bug in the face. However, it seemed to do more in flinching the fire type instead of harming it.

"You dare!?" The sun creature turns it's attention towards the mutant ninja, steeling himself for a difficult fight ahead.

Summer finally reached the last stretch before the stone altar, just in time for another spirit to be yanked away forcefully—the Noctowl looking creature, leaving the Sawsbuck and the Ursaring look a likes left and they looked to be barely holding on.

The ranger started to sweat before she noticed one last figure blocking her path from Zeed chanting.

"Y-You! I know you! You're Yellow of Viridian Forrest! They got to you as well!?" Summer got her answer as soon as she saw the famous hero motion her Pokémon to fire at her.

Flow and Staraptor split from their friend to avoid getting hit, but it was obvious the girl was at a major disadvantage! She was not only outnumbered, she wasn't training her Pokémon for battles!

Summer started to sweat when she heard the fifth spirit cry in pain as it was swallowed by darkness.

There was only one of them left desperately pinning the cube from moving.

The ranger panted for air and wiped sweat from running into her eyes. No, now was not the time to panic! Yellow was obviously a better battler in every day of the week, but this wasn't a battle!

"Flow, ride on Staraptor! Staraptor, follow after me!" Summer quickly crouched in running position and dashed with all of her force towards Yellow.

Yellow's Butterfree shot a string of web at Summer, only for it to fly away in a different direction. Her Dodrio and Raticate rushed her, but Summer stepped in to the face of the Raticate and spring-boarded off him to flip over the Dodrio heads. Her Golem and Omastar tried to attack her, but she threw her hands out for her Staraptor to catch her in the air and fly past them. However, before they could clear Yellow, a shock of electricity hit all three of them, making them fall before the stone altar, revealing Yellow's Pikachu sparking her cheeks.

And then, the last spirit cried out as it could no longer resist the pull of the shadows and was enveloped in darkness as well.

"N-NO!" Summer yelled as she saw the cube starting to shift. Was all what they did for nothing?

Zeed sighed in relief as the cube finally started to open up. "Well that was a close one! But it appears…" He trailed off as he saw three white glowing eyes appeared from within the cube.

Everyone stopped what they were doing as half stared on with horror, while others with anticipation and excitement.

"Hold up a second. … Oh dear." Summer was beyond confused when Zeed stepped away from the thing inside the cube. Wasn't it his body? Why was he stepping away from it?

He snapped his fingers and instantly he turned into light and went into Anto. As soon as this happened, all the lights surrounding Anto and his Pokémon were dropped and the young mute groaned.

"W-What?" Anto slowly got up and noticed the weakened Kyurem and the Light and Dark stone on the tabernacle. "Zeed, what was that all about?"

+Kid, RUN!+

"What?"

A unearthly sound of something grabbing onto the cube, stopped Anto near death.

Anto blood chilled to the very last cell as he heard a vicious roar come out to cube. He turned around, and wish to whatever gods above that he didn't.

He saw one hand slowly grab the opening, then another one, then three more shadowy limbs that were… dripping with odd murky substances slowly pulled out the rest of the body. The head was the first to come out, words couldn't describe how deformed the head was but at the same time it showed that it was covered with a plating or exoskeleton that looked rough and ancient that was styled in such a way that revealed only three holes for its eyes that formed a circle not a triangle. It had a long, lanky body that seemed to be continuously moving as if it was comprised of nothing but moving worms. It's legs were soon pulled out and they were like dead, great willow trees. Long, thick, and reeked of entropy.

It towered over the entire battle dimension, shocking Pokémon and People alike. Right before them was nothing short of an Eldritch God in real life! Just looking at the unspeakable thing, caused those sensitive to look away due to the fact simply being in the presence of this aberration was draining them.

And then…

It spoke.

ɆΞЄЭᴇ₮₸ᴛꚐII│‖₡₵₢ᾨↃ‼‼‼‼

Anto and everyone else closed their ears. The young boy quickly noticed Kryx and Sentinel especially were in pain. He looked back and panicked as he saw dark, fairy, psychic, and Ghost types were in deep agony at just the roar.

+Hurry up and get out of there!+

Zeed's voice rang like a siren and Anto didn't have time to question as he ordered Lily to carry Kryx and Sentinel out of there as he quickly grabbed the two stones and looked to Kyurem. "Heal this guy and let's go!"

The Eldritch primordial looked down as Kyurem was healed and the ice dragon quickly ran with Anto and his Pokémon on top of him. Anto had Super Nut and Lily scoop up Summer and her team as they started to run.

"Zeed what is going on!? I thought you were going to get back in your body!" He didn't like the way he was treated, and he was so sure he was going to die, but what happened made no sense! Why did he choose not to leave his body yet?

+There's someone already in it!+

"What in the nine circles of hell do you mean there's already someone in it?!"

"Anto, what did you just say?!" Summer cried out as she heard her friend's telepathic cry.

The towering monster threw two of its five limbs back and unleashed the two arms to punch towards the Dragon of Ice.

"Everyone, brace yourselves! Super Nut, Protect! Give it your all!" The super hero didn't even wait for his trainer to finish that sentence as he formed an orb around them as the fist of the immeasurable creature descended on them like that of a god's fury—correction: it was the fury of a god.

Super Nut deserved the highest of praise with his aegis. It withheld for a half second before breaking under the pressure of the attack, and that half second was long enough for the rune beneath them to crack first and make them all fall through instead of being crushed like ants.

"Lily, our psychics are down! You're the only one who can give us a path out of that thing's range!" Anto desperately said before he realized something he still had on his person.

The grass type quickly summoned all the eaves she could muster, but the combined weight of everyone was causing her to struggle. That was until her load was halved significantly. She had enough time to see Anto using the move gauntlet he stole to use Psychic to hold up Kyurem.

"Grass user, create a path beneath us! I shall do the rest!" Kyurem told Lily as she quickly made a path of leaves in front of them.

The body of Zeed gave another horrible noise as its eyes started glowing with its deformed face following Anto.

"Make it slide down—now let go!" Anto did as the Legendary dragon said, and it fired a breath of ice on the path of leaves before them, creating an ice slide that the dragon skated on just before three beams followed after them.

Everyone moved out of the way of the beams as the Dragon of Ice kept trying to move out of the way of the attack. However, help unexpectedly came from above as the Wailord Spirit came from the portal and rammed the creature back into its cube.

Kyurem and everyone got off on a nearby chain where it seemed like Wes and Tiana were.

"M-Milord!? What is going on!?" Subject three and his Pokémon seemed to be beyond baffled at what had transpired in front of them.

"Uhh is it a good sign that the bad guys have no idea what the hell just happened?" Wes pointed his thumb at Subject 3.

At this moment, another horrid scream echoed out as the Wailord Spirit was kicked out of the cube and started falling right on top of Anto's area.

Everyone panicked, but stopped as soon as they saw the giant creature turn into a small light that went back into Anto's chest.

Before anyone could react, the body of Zeed shot out again, wailing like a mad dog as the chains and runes of the abyss like area shook violently. His entire body started to glow, as he did, the followers of Zeed started to glow as well.

"W-What?!" Subject Three cried out as he and all of his powerful Pokémon were plucked up like nails by a strong magnet. The conqueror wailed like a desperate man as he and his Pokémon failed to do anything to before they were grabbed into the torso of the creature. Everyone stared in horrified and stunned shock as they all saw Subject 3 cry and cry like a scared little boy as he slowly and surely sunk into the torso of the beast.

"T-This is not what I was promised! No! NO! NOOOOooooo…" Despite how hard his own Pokémon tried to free themselves, despite how some were powerful enough to fight toe to toe with legendary Pokémon, they were made to look useless as they too were absorbed into the body of the eldritch abomination.

Said aberration gave off an unearthly cry that echoed through the abyss and made all chains clatter and vibrate.

Then Subject 2, Subject 1, Subject 4… along with their mighty Pokémon, despite their power, despite how each one of them fought with the viciousness of an elite but small army, they were absorbed into the body of Zeed like helpless infants.

The attacking group could only watch in horror as the y watched the clearly powerful Pokémon get absorbed in without any effort.

With all four subjects gone, all those hypnotized and captured by the subjects fell where they stood, or in some cases just floated aimlessly around.

At this point, the creature's back started to rumble—SPLAT! SPLAT!

Two white feathered wings burst out of the back of Zeed's body. It gave another unearthly cry as it slowly turned its gaze towards…

Anto.

"W-Whoa!" The amnesiac mentally yelped as he saw himself being pulled towards the monster.

However, a loud snapping sound caught his attention that suddenly stopped him mid air. He quickly looked down and saw Lilly had created a leaf whip that had caught his leg. She pulled hard; soon Super Nut grabbed Anto's other leg and Ohko and Takezo raced to pull their trainer back. Sentinel and Kryx powered through the pain. The little psychic used her telekinesis to pull her friend back down while Sentinel appeared behind Anto and physically tried to pull him back.

The monster cried out and made a step forward. Just one step was all it took for the pulling force to grow stronger as Anto's Pokémon struggled to prevent their friend from sharing the same horrible fate.

Kyurem jumped ahead and fired a powerful ice blast at the giant. However, despite how cold the attack was to freeze any poor being ten times over, the giant didn't even notice the attack.

Then the three Kanto birds took to the highest points they could manage and unleashed a powerful blast on the three eyes of the enormous fiend. However, even then it did nothing to slow the creature down as it made slow steps towards Anto.

Everyone left quickly sped into action, trying desperately to slow down the abomination or even helping pull Anto away from the beast.

Tiana had grabbed one end of Lily's whip before she noticed Jamie on Super Nut's side. The two girls said nothing, but then focused as the pull got stronger.

"Zeed, what's going on!?"

+Those wings! Now that makes sense: it's the stupid Archangel that caused this all in the first place! That weapon he used must have somehow combined both of us! That was why my power was fluctuating so much when I first came to this fake world! When I left my body, his mind was left in it for all these years!+

Crap what!? There was something even Zeed didn't know!? What the heck!? "But what is it trying to do!?"

+My guess since it's in my body? Two things: one, grow stronger to get out of here. Two, kill me by killing you since you are my current host.+

"Great, even the gods are trying to kill me!? I was joking when I complained about that!" Anto yelped as he felt another stronger pull. He paled as he saw the giant come ever closer towards them. No matter how he saw the being, with every step closer to him, it only looked to grow bigger and bigger. "Zeed, do something dang it! I doubt even you want to die!"

The giant, even though it was attacked by over a hundred powerful Pokémon simultaneously, wasn't fazed in the slightest as it motioned a large willowy limb towards Anto.

"Sentinel, get out of here!" Anto cried out as he saw the hand coming his way.

"You stood by me; I'm not letting you go!" The Delta Pokémon cried out.

"Anto!"

"Anto!"

"Anto!"

"Boss!"

"Anto!"

"Anto!"

"Danger Damoiseau!"

"Anto!"

Everyone cried out as the arm was slowly reaching for the last of the Subjects. Anto closed his eyes shut as the giant limb descended on him—

What was that sound?

BAM!

A large ring appeared out of almost nowhere and from the ring, a large, equally giant fist came out and punched the monster in the face. Unlike the other attacks this one seemed to work.

+There we go, it seemed like the little king was lost again.+

Anto looked up as he saw the giant actually stagger backward. The reason was because there was this small little creature with rings around it and a sour look on his face who appeared as soon as the fist disappeared back into the ring.

"Finally! I was wondering why it was taking so long to arrive."

"H-Hoopa?" Anto then felt the pull of the beast suddenly stop—then he was launched like a stone in a slingshot backwards to the people who were all pulling him back.

After shaking his head a bit and after being helped up by his Pokémon and friends, Anto noticed Hoopa floating over to him.

"… I'm assuming something happened?"

+It seemed someone else was occupied in my body and now has control over it.+

ꙈꙝꙘꙚꚄꚖ Ꚉ ‼

Zeed's body wailed in pain before standing back up in a battle stance. However, something jumped out of the shadows—revealing that it was the same six spirits that held down the cube. They pounced on the giant and attacked it on all fronts. Unlike everything before them, the spirits seemed to actually be able to harm the abomination.

"I see. This place can manifest astral projections." Hoopa mused to himself.

The body of Zeed threw off all six spirits, the tears on its body were noticeable and quickly it spread its wings and with one mighty flap, flew upward and out of the portal.

The six spirits all watched the abomination flee from them, but instead of pursuing they all turned into small lights that flew back into Anto's torso.

"So… you're magic?" Summer asked in an awkward manner.

"I-I think so? I don't know how though." Anto admitted as he felt his stomach but could feel nothing new that wasn't there before.

"Subject 5."

Anto blinked before realizing that Sied was right in front of him. The young mute and his Pokémon quickly tried to protect themselves, but Summer quickly calmed the boy down.

"A-Anto! It's fine! It's fine! We made a temporary alliance." The ranger explained.

The mute looked back at the towering man and raised his brow.

"I don't know what you did, but it appears I was wrong. The demon is not in control of you—as impossible as it should be," He looked around. "Though considering our current circumstance, the word itself seems to be losing all meaning."

"I have more experience in that than I would like." Anto hated to sound like a broken record, but it's really hard not to when he was continually surprised in this journey with how weird it kept getting.

"However, I have questions. What on earth just happened? And why is there a Hoopa here?"

Anto rubbed his head before noticing the area. "I'll try to explain the best I can, but can we please tend to everyone here?"

And so, with some effort, everyone helped up those who seemed brainwashed by the other four subjects.

However, while everyone else was doing that, Anto walked over to Jamie and offered her a hand.

"Are you alright?"

Jamie had just stared at Anto as if he has suddenly grown a second head that started devouring the first one.

"W-What are you doing?!" She yelled at him. Her voice sounded like it was confused, angry, frustrated, and… sad? "Don't you know what I did!? I handed you over to them!"

The young mute blinked and then slowly rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah. You did do that. You hurt me and my Pokémon, and you let all of us, including Black and N who are still trapped in the stones, almost get killed. I was so scared out of my mind when I Zeed was saying his goodbyes to me."

Jamie couldn't for the life of her understand what Anto was doing right now. "Then why!? Why are you being nice to me, even though I did such horrible things to you! I was one of their agents from the very beginning! I was always going to betray you in order to save my dying friend, so why!? WHY ARE YOU BEING NICE TO ME!?" She shrieked almost hysterically at the mute.

However, despite her raised tone, the anger in her voice, the young teen focused more on her eyes. her eyes were watery, doubtful, and just screamed of pain.

"Why? Do you really think that our friendship is so fragile that betraying me would make a difference?"

As soon as he said that, Jamie just stopped moving, stopped thinking, and she might have even stopped breathing for a second there.

However, her eyes… her eyes looked as if she was free from decades of guilt, but filled with shame.

"I-I…" She sniffed as the tears started running down her face. "I don't—*hiccup*—deserve a friend like you." She started sobbing silently before she felt someone embrace her.

Anto wrapped his friend in a gentle hug before he laughed. "You give me waayy too much credit, Jamie. The only reason why I'm forgiving you so easily is basically because even my regular friends and Pokémon try to kill me on a regular day to day basis without meaning to. If I ruined friendships every time someone tried to make my life worse, I would be a very, very bitter person and pitifully lonely."

The girl from Kalos didn't know what to say, so instead she hugged Anto back and cried, and cried and cried on his sleeve.

"Really? Why do people use me like a human tissue?" The teen lightly quipped.

"Kiss her!"

At the sound of those two words, Anto's face became the reddest red in the entire red kingdom and he quickly and suddenly pushed Jamie away, much to the girl's shock and discomfort.

"W-Wha—WHO SAID THAT!?" The boy quickly glanced around to where the sound came from.

"Dammit Anto! You were nearly there to finally acquiring a mate!" Takezo stomped his little foot down in frustration.

"I WAS NOT DOING THAT!" The mute walked towards Takezo pointing at him accusingly. Even in the abyss, he was so red, he was practically glowing.

"What are you saying? That was a great opportunity to kiss her." Anto snapped his head to see Candela failingly trying to hide a Cheshire smile. "You shouldn't keep your girlfriend hanging on like that."

"SHE IS NOT—I REPEAT NOT! NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!" The boy yelled out instantly as soon as the words left her mouth. "AND THAT WOULD BE REALLY CRUEL TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER LIKE THAT!"

"Aww, your such a gentleman.~" The young boy snapped his head again to see Elesa with the same smile like an older sister who had just found something to blackmail their younger sibling on.

It was then that Anto realized: EVERYONE was watching him and Jamie. He quickly looked around and saw everyone giving the same stupid, evil, ugly smile at him in his flushed state. Even Dimension Enterprise was holding in their giggles!

"THAT'S IT! EVERYONE GET BACK TO WORK! WE STILL HAVE TO HELP THOSE UNCONSCIOUS!"

"Are you sure?" Why was Seid stepping in!? "It's not really gentlemanly to leave a wom—"

"GET YOUR BODY-BUILDING BUTT OUT OF HERE AND START HELPING THE BRAINWASHED FOOLS! AND I WILL TALK ABOUT NOTHING—AND I BLOODY MEAN NOTHING BUT THE REASON WHY HOOPA IS HERE!"

Victor laughed as Anto stormed off, but his little shouts did nothing as a few people started hounding the poor boy as he tried to help up a previously brainwashed guy—then drop him back to ground when that specific lackey commented that he shouldn't be so shy.

"Ooohhh! Oohh! I didn't expect that, huh Trinity?" The Kalos trainer elbowed his girlfriend, but was surprised when he didn't feel her react.

Trinity herself was rather impressed at how the boy handled someone betraying him. She never expected someone to dismiss something like that so easily.

But that wasn't the reason why she was stunned in silence.

No. The reason for that was because she was afraid.

She was afraid of her little sister.

Victor followed Trinity's gaze towards something before he understood why she was silent. Tiana seemed stiff, and the air around her felt far more gloomy and dangerous than usual.

"I'm going to help out now." The two older teens swore they heard grinding behind the younger girl's voice as she helped someone up, then a bone crunching sound was heard when the newly awoken person said that the previous two would make a cute couple. It was followed by said person wailing about their hand being in pain.

After a few seconds, Victor blinked. "… That kid better choose a girl and fast, or else there's going to be a bloodbath."

Anto explained as much as he could, trying to talk about his dreams and what the strange spirits, Animals they called themselves, were. Unfortunately, he didn't know what they were or why they were with him. It also wasn't helping that no matter how hard he tried to explain, everyone just stared at him like a cute, little boy. Dang it, no one was taking him seriously!

"Isn't that obvious?" Hoopa interrupted Anto after he finished talking about the spirits. "It is a powerful spell of protection from another world. I've seen something like it before."

"Wait, you have? But why do I have something like that?" The boy pointed to himself. "I mean, I'm just a normal, but unlucky, kid."

"From another world."

"From another worrRRRRWHHHAAAATTT!?" Anto screamed as everyone looked at the small legendary.

Zeed jumped out beside of the stupefied and shocked mute. "Ahh yes. I thought that was too bothersome to explain. Anthony here is from another world." How on earth could these two say that so casually!?

"Wha-how—when-why-what!? WHAT!?" The young boy stammered.

"Do you recall when I tried to jump into subject five's dead body?"

"Yes, you jumped into my body!" The young teen emphasized before he suddenly frozen and caught at what he said.

Zeed sighed as placed a hand to his head. "You see, Anthony, I was practicing my portal powers when I was still with subject four. When I jumped a portal into your body before The Enterprise here could decapitate or subdue it, the portal I created suddenly became unstable, and it tore not through a few feet, but it tore through dimensional barriers. I had honestly forgotten how weak the fabric of time and space was here. A wandering soul was pulled out of somewhere in the cosmos and came with me in entering into subject five's body. That soul? It was yours, Anthony, and it came with those spirits to protect your soul from being devoured."

"You must have known a shaman or something, because I've never seen a blessing of protection like this before."

"Stop! Stop! Stop!" The black haired boy carefully put a hand on his head. "I…I… Wha-What are you trying to say?"

"I'm guessing the emotional shock is too much for you. Alright, listen close: your soul was accidentally pulled from somewhere else from the cosmos when I jumped into that body," He pointed to Anto. "And because you had a powerful protection, your soul was protected from me devouring you. What was even more interesting was the fact your soul… was exactly like Subject Five's soul. If I had to guess, you were a different version of him from another reality."

Anto just stopped thinking. T-That was… so beyond stupid! How could he believe something like that!? Yet, how could he refute something as incredible as that?

"Soooo that means the boss is just boss?" Ohko, with the most confused look on his face asked out loud. "Then there's nothing to worry about then, right?"

"Sensational! My scientific friend is from another dimension! Think of all the possibilities this can open up for Science!" Kryx rather looked excited and went closer to Anto. "I want to dissect you now."

"I totally didn't understand all of that," Sentinel said. "But I understood enough that it doesn't change Anti, so I'm okay with whatever just happened."

"Do you know what this means, Danger Damoiseau!? It means you are not just a super hero of one world, but two! Truly, you have surpassed me without my knowledge! We must celebrate forthwith!" Super Nut grabbed Anto and had sparkle in his eyes the whole time he said that.

Laughter caught Anto's attention as he turned to Wes. "Dear Arceus, Anto, you are bloody unpredictable! And to think I would I have been stuck in Orre doing who knows what if I didn't meet with you."

"I really do try to keep a cool head," Summer sighed as she placed a hand on her face. "But trying to expect the unexpected is so far impossible when I'm with you, Anto."

Anto just stared at his friends. To be fair, what exactly could he do with this knowledge? He had so many questions, like where did he really come from? Is that why he always had this feeling he didn't belong here? It was because his soul was from another world? That does explain why Zeed and the spirits always looked at him funny whenever he claimed that he was in his own body. It wasn't his in the first place! It was probably a different version of his body from another univer—holy heck that just sounds so impossible to think.

Yet… here they were.

It was funny, because of their adventure, even something as amazing as this didn't seem to faze his friends. They still choose to roll with the punches, even if they were sucker punched with this horrible confusing and chaotic cosmic madness.

"Ughh, can things get any crazier!?"

BOOOM!

Everyone panicked as the abyss started shaking again at a far more unstable rate.

"You just had to jinx it, didn't you, Anto!"

"I really couldn't see things getting and worse!" The boy tried to defend to his two human friends. However, in hindsight, he was really asking for it.

Zeed waved his hand above them, an image started to appear from the cloud that the foreign deity created.

It was the image of Zeed's body on top of Dragon Spire and he was…

"Is that thing… punching the sky?" Drayden asked as in deed, the large creature was punching the sky above him, and slowly but surely, the sky itself was starting to crack and break where bits of space could be seen from each hole and dent the creature created on the vast blue atmosphere.

"Agh!" Sebastion, Aster, Jamie, Tiana, Victor, and Trinity fell to the ground coughing in pain.

"Whoa! What is going on with them!?" Candela shouted out as they all looked towards the fallen people. They all started to… turn into static? Their bodies were starting to look see through and sometimes they would flicker from solid or to static.

However, the more Zeed's body punched the sky, the more people kept falling, screaming as their body seemed to enter into an unstable state of static or see through, or even solid.

"And so it begins."

"What!? What is happening!?" Anto looked towards Hoopa while more and more of his friends and the previously brainwashed people started to be affected by the strange aliment. However, no matter how much time had passed, it looked as if only Anto and his Pokémon remained unaffected.

Hoopa and Zeed simply blinked and stated the answer to Anto in a calm and nonchalant manner.

"It's the end of the world."

{Author Notes}

Hey everybody! I really, really wanted to continue, but I thought that this chapter already had too much, and I wanted to give you guys some time to relax and digest all the madness that just happened.

Just when you thought things couldn't get weirder, they actually do! And best of all, the weirdness still isn't done! (How you say? Oooohhh wait till the next chapter.)

(Also, sorry for the cliffhanger after cliffhanger, but this is the last arc of the Unova Saga. It's jam packed with action and twists!)

I bet some of you thought that the four previous hosts would be more deadly. I assure you, they're not really out of it just yet. You'll see why in the next chapter. They still have a job to do after the Unova Saga.

My crazy mind has been planning this from the very start of this fic, and now we're finally getting down into it! Oh wow. Here we are, almost three years into making. I never thought this story would be moved so high up in my priority list with how much fun I have writing it. It's not even my most popular or my most successful, yet it is without a doubt my favorite story among all the ones I've written.

I would like to thank everyone that favorited down below—(Also, if any of you stop favorting me, I can now hunt you down and stare at you disappointingly from behind my screen—Joke—or am I—yes I am—but I will silently judge you—not—it's your choice after all.)

Thank you all very much for your support these past three years.
