Alex's Pov

I sighed at his declaration

"I know, but now that you're here, I don't know where to start." He chuckled

"How about we start by sitting down?" He suggested, I nod

"How about at the table, I feel like this is a sitting upright conversation." He nodded and we moved through the kitchen "Do you want something to drink?" he shook his head and sat down at the table

"Calm down Alex, your heart is beating too fast." I chuckled nervously

"I forgot you could hear that well." He smiled

"Sit down Alex." I nodded and sat down across in the chair across from him "Alex, there's no need to be afraid, we need to talk about this, I should have told you sooner about my feelings for you, but when I came back from Hell, you show no signs of feelings towards me and I thought it was Angelus that you had the feelings for." I shrugged

"I kinda did fall for Angelus, but I fell for you first, a long time ago, when I was possessed by the hyena, I got the female alpha, when I went after Buffy, it wasn't because because I wanted her for a mate, it was because she was covered in your scent, the alpha approved of you, wanted you to be our mate, my mate." Angel looked concerned

"That alpha isn't still there with you is it?" I grinned and shook my head

"You don't need to worry about that, Giles sent them back to where they belong." He let out a breath of relief and then grinned at me

"I'm glad, I don't know what Angelus would have done if you still had an alpha in you, there'd be a fight for dominance." I smiled

"You don't have to worry about that." He smiled and reach his hand out to me, I hesitated a little bit before placing my hand into his

"I do have feelings for you Alex, Angelus does and so do I, I have since I met you and properly got to know you, Angelus on the other hand, always watching through my eyes and eveything, developed his own feelings for you, so when I slept with Buffy, Angelus revolted, wanting to be with you he broke free."

"Why did you sleep with Buffy?" He sighed

"I was in denial about my feelings for you, and I was trying to prove it to myself, if liked sleeping with Buffy, it would have proved that my feelings for you were just lust, but the after effects were negative and I still found myself in love with you." I smiled at him

"I'm glad you told me, as much as I claimed to have hated you, that harder I fell for you, and I thought you liked me too, but then you slept with Buffy, and Angelus came, I didn't want to believe what he said at first."

"Do you remember what he said to you?" Angel asked, I looked at him and thought for a moment, I couldn't remember

"I can't remember." Angel gained a concerned look on his face, but squeezed my hand

"Alright, it's okay, don't panic, Giles is on his way to fix this." I nodded, but tears filled my eyes "Hey, whats wrong?"

"I, I don't want to forget, I can't remember what Angelus said to me, I can barely remember the night I spent with Angelus, I don't want to forget anymore." Tears fell down my face and Angel stood from his seat and moved around the table to my side, he then knelt down and pulled me from my chair and into his lap, he lent against the nearby wall and pulled me close to his chest as I cried. Jett must have heard me crying and came to lay down by next to Angel and rested his head on my knee.

I'm not sure how long we sat there for but, he definitely sat hoding me until I stopped crying. I rested my head on his shoulder and sighed

"I don't think your dog likes you upset." Angel said, squeezing my shoulder, I sniffed and grinned

"I'd always wanted a dog, I'm really glad Jett's taken a liking to me." I felt Angel chuckle as he brushed his fingers throught my hair, I sighed in contentment and he chuckled again

"You aren't the only one that's content, Angelus has finally settled down, for the first time since I came back from Hell." I froze for a moment, but he felt it "What is it?" I lifted my head up from his shoulder and looked up at him

"You're soul? Your one moment of perfect happiness, will that happen again?" he smiled and shook his head

"My soul is permanent besides Angelus is happy with my choice in partner, if you'll have me that is."

"As much as I want to say yes, right now, right this minute, I need this spell taking off me first, so I can remember everything, so I can remember how much I felt for you, because I don't feel that right now." He sighed

"How far away is Giles? Because I want this spell gone, I don't like that this is happening to you and there isn't anything I can do about it."

"But you are, Angel, as much as we needed to discuss things, you're here to help me with this, I might be forgetting things, but probably not as quick as I should be, Giles was right, you being here with me, us being in physical contact, is helping, I want this gone just as much as you do."

"This should have never happened to you, Willow shouldn't have been practicing Magic that she didn't understand." I frowned

"I think she understood what she was doing and what magic she was using, because I remember this happened to me the next day, after Angelus and I had slept together, because willow confronted me, she.." I thought for a moment, thinking back to that day, pushing aside the meoried that tried to surface in its place "She confronted me, demanded to know where I had been, when Buffy was fighting you, stopping you from from destroying the world."

"Do you remember what you told her?" Angel asked, I frowned and shook my head

"That's where it starts to get fuzzy and I can't remember what I said and when the false memories start to appear." Angel growled

"It won't be there for much longer Alex, I promise, you'll get those memories back." I nod and give him a smile

"Thank you Angel."
