My first, upload for Riverdale and there's more where this came from.

They were in the car on their way out of town. After weeks of discussion and searching, Toni managed to get Cheryl to agree to therapy. They both needed plenty of it, but Toni was willing, Cheryl had so many hang-ups, that she thought it would have been harder. She managed to get Cheryl to agree but it took twice as long for them to find a therapist that Cheryl liked.

So as they pulled into the parking lot, Toni glanced at Cheryl and noticed her fidgeting nervously and she reached over to take her hand.

"I'm so proud of you Cher." She whispered and Cheryl stopped moving and turned to look at Toni, slowly. "Really?" She asked and Toni had to smile at her. "Absolutely," Toni says and Cheryl seems to breathe a little easier.

"There's nothing wrong with this you know. Not after everything you've been through." Toni admits as she glances at her watch, making sure they've got plenty of time, before the session. "I feel like I'm letting everyone down. Like this is a weakness." Cheryl admitted softly and Toni had to fight the urge to crawl across the console to wrap her arms around the redhead. Instead, she used the free hand, that wasn't clutched in Cheryl's to tilt her girlfriend's face to look at her.

"Cheryl, I promise, you're not letting anyone down. I know I'm so proud of you for this." Toni says gently and Cheryl has to close her eyes at the emotions swirling around inside her.

"I've always been trained into how I'm supposed to act. What I'm supposed to give the Blossom legacy." Cheryl explains and Toni gives her a minute to compose herself and look at her before she replies. "Hey, whose legacy are you trying to uphold? Your fathers, your mothers?" Toni says and she can see, she's getting through to Cheryl, so she opens up and keeps going.

"You don't have to uphold that cursed Blossom legacy. You've got something far better to uphold." Toni says and Cheryl looks at her questioningly.

"You've got your dignity, your sanity. And more importantly, Jason's memory." Toni says and she can see something like recognition come through Cheryl's eyes, nobody has ever told her, she was allowed to be free and maybe this is the beginning of something for her love. So Toni carries on.

"That damned Blossom legacy died with Jason. That legacy died at your father's hands." Toni pushes and Cheryl fights back the tears, that are threatening to fall.

"You get to start a new Blossom legacy. One that isn't built on, lies, death and deceit. You get to finally make something good with your legacy." Toni says and suddenly Cheryl is leaning across the console and burying her head in Toni's shoulder and she clings to her as she cries. Maybe therapy will work. Toni just has to hope, that Cheryl is as open with them as she is with Toni. Cheryl quickly composes herself and takes Toni's hand in her own again.

"Come with me?" Cheryl asks, softly, almost scared of asking and Toni just smiles and lifts her hand to her lips and kisses it softly. "Always Cher."

I hope you all enjoyed it!
